I recieved this stroller has a gift. I love that it is compatible with the Maxi-Cosi infanr car seat. Very Very light weight and easily turns, which is great when shopping. The con is it can easiy tip over is alot of heavy items are hanging off the hand rails. The basket is very small.
[…] Before you register for something because it’s ‘pretty’ or your friend has one research the product yourself…and stay away from Reports Consumers. My wife and I love the Quinny Zapp. We thoroughly researched strollers (and everything else to the same conclusion) and quickly found US brand strollers are in a league of their own far BELOW the rest of the world. The Quinny Zapp is constructed well, with extremely comfortable handles, and extremely smooth ride. Also has a 5 point safety harness with padded belts. The Quinny Zapp also folds up small enough to fit behind the front seat. Before I continue please note: THIS IS AN UMBRELLA STROLLER! DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU INTEND IT TO BE YOUR ONLY STROLLER! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS…THIS STOLLER AND ALL OTHERS ARE NOT INTENDED TO HOLD YOUR LOOT FROM THE MALL OR YOUR DIAPER BAG FROM THE HANDLES! The Quinny Zapp INCLUDES a carry bag with shoulder strap (to hold folded stroller and all included items), rain cover (which is actually very easy to install though we haven’t had a need for it…yet), sun shade, and adapters to accept the Maxi-Cosi Mico car seat.I highly recommend including the Maxi-Cosi car seat with the purchase of the Quinny Zapp. Once you remove the Quinny Zapp seat, it sounds harder than it actually is, attach the INCLUDED adapters to allow the stroller ‘frame’ to accept the Maxi-Cosi car seat. Everytime we go out with the Quinny Zapp w/Maxi-Cosi people will comment on how comfortable to push and easy to maneuver it is…and it is!!! Find a store with one and push it…ONE handed…you will not find a smoother, more maneuverable stroller than the Quinny Zapp.Once you’ve passed the stage of using with the car seat reinstalling the Quinny seat is easy…yes it is easy. Quite simply zip 4 zippers, smooth the velcro over the zippers and fasten 2 snaps to position the basket. The sunshade attaches at the same point where the Maxi-Cosi adapter did and 2 snaps are attached at the handles. The Quinny Zapp can be folded with the sunshade attached. FOLDING AND UNFOLDING THE STROLLER: Did you get your pack and play right the first time??? No you didnât and neither did I. However, after a few tries (at the store) we were able to master folding and unfolding. Itâs actually almost as easy as tossing open a pop up tent and no Iâm not kidding. THE SEAT: This is an UMBRELLA STROLLERâ¦the seat does NOT recline. Attaching the 5 point harness is easy and actually the same concept as the Maxi-Cosi car seat. My wife and I use this stroller when we run for quick or full day shopping trips and even casual walks at the park. Itâs worked well whether at a Mall, Outlet/Strip Mall, and even âdown townâ. The included basket works very well to store a Dr. Brownâs cooler bag and our folding changing pad holding 3 diapers and wipes (a practical diaper bag). I highly recommend you LEAVE âTHE DIAPER BAGâ IN THE CAR. Cut the cord early (with that big bulky diaper bag) and realize itâs not that far away. If you absolutely cannot part with it I highly suggest a DadGear or DaisyGear âmessengerâ style bagâ¦.this was a great find! And as far as using the stroller to hold all your loot, see above, my wife and I carry are bag(s) just as we did when we didnât have a baby.DADâS: GET INVOLVED WITH RESEARCHING/FINDING/TESTING/SELECTING BABY ITEMS!!! Its fun and my wife and I had a great time âplayingâ at the stores as well as it took some pressure off of her while she did the most important work.Research before you spend your money and find a store to actually test the product. Check the safety standards the product meets and check the brands history of recalls. You will be very surprised to which brands barely meet US safety standards and which brands far exceed them as well as which brands have extraordinarily high recall history.[…] Well over a year later Babies’R’Us has the Maxi-Cosi car seat and Quinny Zapp stroller. These two specific products will beat out ALL Babies’R’
We love the color of this stroller. It’s not as compact as an umbrella stroller, but much more durable. It folds up nicely into a provided bag. It’s great quality and holds up well-much better than an umbrella stroller. Great for traveling.
This is a great stroller!!! i had a little 5 door focus and needed a stroller that would fit in my tiny trunk and still leave me with a little room, but also needed it to be durable. This stroller did just the job. and it is super easy to fold down!!
The only problems I have/had were putting my diaper bag on the handles THIS STROLLER WILL FALL BACKWARDS! It does not have a big basket either and if you are using the baby carrier instead of the full seat you cannot use the basket.
Do not ONLY get this stroller! I did and now my son is almost one and is outgrowing it. he is only 28 inches and 20 lbs and his feet touch the foot rest and his head is almost to the top. So now we are looking into a bigger stroller that will hold him for a while longer.
overall a great stroller.
oh and it pushes really easily!
This stroller converts to hold the Maxi Cosi infant pumpkin seat when the child is young, and converts back easy when to the stroller when the child has outgrown the pumpkin seat. I also purchased an umbrella stroller for those times you need a light, and quick assembly stroller. Don’t waste your money! The quinny is as light and folds down smaller than any umbrella stroller. I love this stroller system and so does my child. Also it is a breeze to stroller, nice size wheels that turn at the drop of a dime.
We did a lot of research before purchasing the Quinny Zapp 4 along with the Maxi-Cosi infant seat; both of which are made by Dorel. As expected, we are very satisfied with both items.
