I got this stroller as a gift when my daughter turned 6 months old (she’s now 11 months). I’m an avid runner, but waited till she was 6 months to run with her in the stroller. I am in love with this stroller- for its obvious size, it is extremely lightweight to push during a run. The front wheel does not swivel which is actually preferrable if you are running as it makes the ride smoother. The sunshield is HUGE, allowing me to only put suntan lotion on my daughters legs, and the rest of her is shaded. It’s easy to assemble, though a little bulky in our SUV (the front wheel is easily detachable). It turns on a DIME around tight corners, and I can turn it with one hand, while running. Hands down – this is the stroller to have for running. The “City” Baby Jogger cannot handle the roads like the “Performance” model. This is certainly not a mall stroller with its large front wheel and lack of a tray, but if you are looking for a stroller to use while running, look no further. It has plenty of storage space in a mesh back pocket, and storage bin underneath. This stroller is the best, and worth every penny.
I too only began using this stroller when my daughter was 6mo. She is now only 15mo and the seat is torn. The seams along the edge of the seat have pulled apart, making me doubt the safety of this product. Unfortunately, I got this stroller as a gift at my child’s birth and there is only a 1yr warranty on it. We store the stroller indoors and my child is very small, weighing only 20 lbs. There is no doubt that we have not overused the product, it is just not great quality. On top of everything else, the company does not even stand behind their product for more than a year which is shocking considering the price. I would not recommend this to a friend.
Sully is just going on 6 months and we just started using it 2 wks ago. So far so good. Great sun coverage which was one of the main reasons for choosing this model and the 20″ wheels. If the weather permits we are out atleast 2miles a day and if he is having a bad day…we do some stroller time and he cheers right up…I love it. My only issue so far is during runs it pulls to one side so I am taking it to a bike store for realignment…
