Well this has been the third stroller I get and so far I think this is a keeper. It is sturdy, I like that it has four cup holders, has a big basket and you can still put stuff in it even if the seat is all the way down and it has a good size storage box on top. I also think it’s a nice looking stroller. I like that it folds up, locks in place and you can leave it standing up. I think it’s a good price and I would give it as a gift or recommend people to buy it. Oh and it’s not too heavy.

I looked everywhere for a travel system and I saw the Eddie Bauer one and loved it when I saw it. My toddler has an Eddie Bauer booster and she loves it, so I figure this will be great for my new baby. I love how the car seat has more leg room to grow and it is comfy. The buckles on it is easy and not as heavy as I thought. The stroller is wonderful. The cup holders are big and I like the fact that it holds up to 50 pounds.
Folds up easy, a bit bulky, but to all the pros it has that doesn’t bother me. For the quality the price is right on.

  3. MarchMommy on March 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

This travel system is definitely worth the price. Very easy to set up and very pretty. I like the fact that you can open and close the stroller with one hand, and also the carseat has 5 different strap notches so as the baby grows you can change the straps and also the carseat is very easy to get out of the base in the car.. now i just have to wait for my baby to arrive!!!

  4. **1st time mom to be** on March 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Bought this stroller last week and was so excited I put it together myself that day (at eight months pregnant it was pretty easy even though there are no instructions!) The stroller is sturdy and a good quality but the back wheels are very wide. they stick out a couple inches more than the front on each side and the stroller is really bulky even when folded. I pushed it around the house a few times only to find that the back wheels catch on everything and it’s awkward. I returned it today for the chicco cortina discovery stroller and am very happy with that. If you want a heavy duty stroller for outdoors I would go with the Eddie Bauer but if you want something a little more versatile and compact to use in stores ect I would go with the chicco system.

  5. Southern Mom on March 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller. I orginally thought about buying a Graco Quattro Tour travel system, but was given an Eddie Bauer travel system as a early baby gift. I am so happy I didn’t buy the Graco stroller. I love this Eddie Bauer! The ride is smooth, and the stroller is easy to open and close. The carseat has adjustable straps, a 5 pt harness and is deep. I like how it really cradles my 2 month old baby. The stoller has a storage box in between the parent cup holders, and it can store my small wallet, keys, and cell phone just fine. Also, even with the stoller laying flat (to accomadate the carseat) the bottom basket is still useable (springs down) and holds my large Eddie Bauer diaper bag. I like the fact that the pattern is classy, not busy and gender neutral. Also, I am only 5’2″ and I have no problem taking out the stoller from the trunk of my car. It’s a good weight, not to light and not heavy. I really think this Eddie Bauer travel system is fantasic, and I am so happy it was given to me.

  8. Excited mom of two. on April 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Our baby is not due until Aug. 08, but I just wanted an early start on the strollers and carseats that are out today compared to when I had my son 5 years ago. This travel system is more safer than I thought. My husband and I pulled from the display this system and another system to compare the differences. This system has two push in rods, one on each side, that really secure the carseat to the stroller which keeps the baby really sturdy we noticed compared to the other brands. (These rods are similar to those that are on crutches or camera tripods to adjust the height.) With the other brands the carseat did not feel like it was one with the stroller, and like it might flip out if a toddler or someone were to bump into it. After seeing the differences, my husband and I plan to purchase this system and in the future when the baby out grows it, the matching all-in-one carseat as well.
Another added bonus in my opinion is when the carseat is not being used the stroller really lays down flat to accommidate for sleeping infants and toddlers.

  9. Mom to be on April 4th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller system is more sager than the other stroller systems. Our baby is not due until August, but we just wanted any early look at the strollers and things for the baby since things are a lot different this time than when we had our son 5 years ago. We compared the Eddie Bauer system to another system with similar colors, and another customer showed us these two rods that help to secure the carseat to the stroller. The other system was not as secure and it felt like the carseat would tip over if it were nudged by a toddler or someone on accident. These rods are similar to those on crutches to adjust the height, and the carseat felt very secure and did not tilt. The stroller is a little bulky but for the safey of our baby it does not really matter. The carseat itself even has a level that indicates if the baby is sitting safely strapped in the car or in the stroller.

  10. tlane_la on April 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After looking at a lot of strollers, we purchased this one yesterday. The 2 main reasons: seems sturdier than others in the price range, 1-hand feature which makes it easier to remove the car seat, fold, etc. Baby isn’t due for a month, so we haven’t used it yet. The stroller is wide in the back so we’ll see how that goes for narrow aisles, etc.

  11. soon to be mom on April 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

such a great gift, my husband had no trouble putting it together. Easy to fold up and store in my apartment. can’t wait to use when baby arrives!!!!

we recieve this stroller as a gift and it’s wonderful.

  13. Tricia on April 23rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Awesome. This is my 2nd baby and the infant seat is very, VERY easy to install and the stroller is light and easy to open and close. I am short and I have no problem carrying the baby in the infant carrier or handling the stroller in and out of my SUV. I also love the material and pattern in sage green. Should be easy to clean if need be. My baby was born a preemie and I didn’t realize the seat was for preemie babies as well—I got very lucky because I had my baby 4 weeks early and at 5lbs—this infant carrier was perfect for babies as small as 4lbs. Hospital raved over this seat and so did The State Police Professionals that installed the seat. They had been waiting for this seat to come out. I really could have installed it myself its that easy—I should have read the directions.

we got this stroller from his mom as a gift and we love it has every thing that you need on it we have not used it yet because our son is not due until next month but we cnt waite until we can put our lil boy in it..

  15. First time mom on April 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have spent weeks looking and researching the Graco and Chicco strollers. After reading all the reviews my husband and I went to Babies R Us and spent a long time looking at each stroller. This stroller is not as bulky or heavy as the Gracos and is made just as well as the Chicco strollers. It was easy to put together and is perfect for the price. The Chicco strollers do not even look comfortable and the Gracos are just far to heavy for on the go parents. If you want a stroller that you will be happy with, choose this one!!!

  16. vwkittie on April 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Well, the first stroller I had was a Graco that I really loved but my sis ran it over when she was parking her truck in the garage. (the stroller was empty ofcourse) so after looking at lots of strollers I ended up going for this one. I thought the price was ok. I like the basket on the bottom, you can fit lot’s of things in it. I don’t like that it is kind of hard to take things in or out once you recline the seat. It’s a sturdy stroller and my 3mth baby boy is very comfy in it. The back tires are a little wider and sometimes that is a bit of a problem. Over all I think my son is comfy in the stroller and carseat. I would buy it again. Oh one thing that really bothers me though is that I have a car and the stroller barely fits in the trunk but then again I think that’s pretty much all the full size strollers.

  17. NuMom on May 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My only issue is the size. The stroller barely fits in my trunk. But I guess I only have that issue because I have a small car/trunk. Overall it’s a great quality travel system and feel my $ was well spent.

  18. mom of 2 n more :) on May 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

LOve this stroller! i’ve used this stroller for both my kids. its perfect in every way. the only con about it is that it is bulky, but for a travel system stroller that is to be expected anyway. the sturdier the stroller, the more durable it is.

  19. Expectant mom in VA on May 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I think the best part of this stroller system is how easily you can detach and lift out the infant carrier. Unlike some strollers that I looked at in the store, you can unlock the carrier with one hand while you lift the handle with the other. Some infant carriers have a lock on both sides, where this one is in the middle. I also like that the stroller folds up fairly easily. The only con is that it’s still a little big, even folded up… but I expected that beforehand. Overall it is made better than other brands and is easier to use.

  20. Mom after 7 1/2 years later on June 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller was not my first choice, I wanted a light weight stroller. My husband saw my choice stroller and he wanted this one instead. This stroller is very bulky, heavy and lifting this stroller into my truck – you need to have eaten your Wheaties. Now my husband says that he hates this stroller because it is hard to open with one hand, too heavy and now wants to buy the Snap and Go.

  21. new parents on June 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Product is easy to set up and use and extra car bases are available you have to call eddie bauer at [@]and provide the model number and date of production.

  22. Spencer's Mommy on June 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After playing with all the strollers at the store, I decided to register for this one. I loved the fact the material was extremely soft and very well cushioned unlike some of the others. It is very easy to get the carseat in and out. It is a bit heavier than some other strollers, but it makes up for it with all the extra padding in the carseat. I cannot wait to see my little girl in it!

  23. LIZZY THE SIS on June 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

Well i use it all the time it is great it protects the baby from the sun light and it easy to travel with i just cant say how much i luv it i cant think of anything that is wrong with it

We purchased this stroller for our newborn. The car seat provides wonderful support for his little head and neck; this is the best stroller we have ever owned that did that all on it’s own.

  25. Mom and Dad on July 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Really like it, but as everyone says it is to heavy and if you live in an apartment and have to carry it through a flight of stairs, i would think about it

I use stroller ever day for walk or just for him to set in he loves it.
Car seat nice and tight if something happen he is not go anywere.

  27. Spencer's mom on August 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller has been great. We’ve been using it now for one month. The stroller folds together so easily & it is easy to unfold. The carseat is easy to put in and out of the car because it unlatches with just a handle on the back of the car seat. If you need to buy an extra car seat base for your other car, you will need to call […]directly. Babies-R-Us can’t help which was a little inconvienant. The stroller is also a little bulky, but very durable!

  28. Soon to be mommy on August 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I just got this as a gift. It came in a big box and since I stay at home these days, I was bored and thought I would take it out just to see how many pieces it came in. I started reading the directions and before long I had started putting it together. I am due this month and I also hate putting things together. I’ve never been good at it. This was so easy and after putting it all together it saved me so much more room. I can’t wait to use it soon.

  29. MomX3 on August 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is a GREAT set!!! The car seat works great for our preemie son… The stroller is lightweight and easy to push!!! We have been using it for 3 weeks now and we love it… The carseat is easy to get in and out of the base and not heavy at all… We love this set!!! The only downside is the basket gets in the way when stowing it away in the back of the car…

I have to say that this will be the 2nd Eddie Bauer travel stroller that I will purchased. I bought one when I first had my son 4 years ago. I absolutely LOVED it! This time around I was looking at the Chicco brand then noticed that there was a new Eddie Bauer system and checked it out. Hands down I’m picking Eddie Bauer again and can’t wait! Everything about it is very convenient for me.

  32. jason's mom on August 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this travel system!!! My newborn baby absolutely loves the seat. He is so comfortable! Whether he is sitting in a restaurant, riding in the car, or strolling down the street, he could sit it in for hours and be perfectly content!!! It is so easy to use and convenient! It’s a little bulky to get in the trunk of the car, but that is the only downside. I don’t know what we would do without it! It is definitely worth the money. If you decide to splurge on anything, splurge on this!

I love this travel system. I can set it up with one hand. However, it is heavy and a little awkward to get in the trunk. But, I hear this goes for every stroller out there. It rides great, seems to be very comfortable for my daughter, and it has a sofisticated look to it. I picked this travel system because it looked the most comfortable. I love how it stands up and you can still roll it after it’s broken down. I would highly recommend it.

  36. Aidan's Mommy on August 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We use the car seat nearly every day. Our baby was so tiny when we brought him home, but the car seat was lined with 2 of the head supporters. My baby grew fast and by the time he was 4 weeks old we had taken one of them out, so it was great that there was still another one to hold his head! Now, he is 12 weeks old and about 14.5 lbs, and it’s about time to take the second one out. I like how snug and secure he is in that car seat, and it is very easy to get in and out of the base. Also, the car seat will click onto most shopping carts, which is awesome. No worrying about it flipping over!!! And, if I may be vain… My car seat is always the prettiest one whenever we’re around other babies! I really love Eddie Bauer stuff, and this rates right up there with the best!!!

  37. New mommy on August 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I really like this stroller. It’s so easy to open and close. I like that you can use for a boy or girl. I do have to say that it’s pretty heavy. To pick it up and put it in my suv is tricky. Just think of it as it tones your arms!! It just fits in my suv prefectly. But I bet it wouldn’t fit into a trunk of a car.

  38. busy mom on August 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I loved this stroller at the store, but once i had my daughter, this thing is the biggest piece of JUNK!!!!!! the part where the carseats sits on keeps coming off and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO heavy. I brought a snap and go (which they sell at babies r us) which is just the frame of the stroller and the carseat sits right on top, this thing ways nothing and it folds up to nothing!!!!!! i would def recommend the snap n go before this stroller!!

  39. Megan on August 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We got this travel system thinking it would be super nice. The carseat itself is great but I am thinking we just got a dysfunctional model- the handle for the carseat sticks & is really hard for me to put up & down. The stroller is really nice & has a huge basket on the bottom… but you can’t access it when the carseat is snapped in- the back to the stroller has to be all the way down. The stroller is super bulky & heavy as well. I drive a 2008 CRV & it takes up the ENTIRE trunk. My husband drives a civic & it doesnt even fit in his trunk. Overall, I would be upset if I spent the money on this, but my mother in law bought it, so it wasnt my money. I would not really receommend it.

  40. Christine the New Mommy on September 4th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My husband and I absolutely love this stroller, it is easy to handle and very beautiful, it is also very sturdy and we feel safe using the infant car seat section.

Our only drawback was the size of the stroller for our car. We have a Lexus GS 300 and this stroller could not fit in the trunk, so we used the car seat portion.

When we got another vehicle, a SUV, everything was easy, the stroller fit perfectly and we could proudly stroll everywhere with our son. Our son is 2 months and weighs 14lbs. so I know we will soon be in the market for another car seat, I know we will stick with the Eddie Bauer brand.

  41. mom 01 on September 8th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is a great travel system. I also like that it comes equipped with a lot of little extras like the infant head support in the car seat and the stroller. The only down side is this is a HUGE travel system. When we fold the stroller, it barely fits in the trunk of my car. We have to jimmy and twist to make it fit. Also it is the SUV of strollers in that it takes up a lot of space when you take it places (like the doctor’s office) and it is not so nimble. It was a great purchase though.

  42. Alexis's mommy on September 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My baby is very comfortable in this carseat and I like that its a travel system but its very bulky and heavy. My baby is only 3 months old and already its all scratched up from trying to get it in and out of my trunk. Overall I like the travel system and the most important thing is that she’s comfortable (she always falls asleep as soon as I put her in)but I wish it was comfy for mommy too.

  43. Annie on September 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller was a complete failure for us. I selected it based on the high ratings from this website, however I had nothing but trouble with it and have since returned it. First of all it is a VERY heavy bulky system. I often had trouble pushing the buttons that are necessary to move the handle bar on the infant basket. I initially thought the pieces were just stiff because they were new, but it never got any better. Even my husband would have difficulty from time to time with the buttons. Also, when we folded the stroller, it does not fold very flat. It BARELY fit into the trunk of either of our cars (a Nissan Altima and a VW Passat). It was not until I exchanged our travel system for a Chicco set that I realized how awful this product is. When I was selecting our new stroller the salesman told me that many people have complained about the stiff pieces and weight of the Eddie Bauer system.

This particular product is heavy! Not easy to use! The fabric looks bad after only a few uses and it balls up and stains very easy. The car seat is heavy. Even though they made lots of changes from the old system it still is not good. We bought everything eddiebauer thinking that they were a good company… boy were we wrong!!! Stay away from anything they make! Go with Graco or Chicco! they are easy to use and durable!

  46. MaKaehla's Mommy on September 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller and car seat. My 5 week old daughter fits snug in the car seat, which is great because she’s sooo tiny. The carseat already has the head piece so her head doesn’t bobble around. I love the large size of the storage basket on the stroller and the parent tray has a nice little compartment as well.

  47. nconway567 on September 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We bought this stroller system after testing out many in the store. We selected it because the infant seat was totally secure and snug when placed in the stroller. (Evenflo and Graco both were very un-secure). The infant seat is a bit heavy and it would be nice if Eddie Bauer would incorporate a “Z” handle for easier carrying. The seat and the base are very easy to install in the car and we’ve had no trouble with the buttons on handles as some reviews mention. The stroller is great, and even with the seat reclined all the way back, you can still access the basket (the outer edge is spring loaded and easy to push down to access). It is a bit bulky and just fits in my trunk, but it’s not bad. Overall, it’s one of the best out there.

  48. New Grammy on September 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The stroller for my daughter and grandbaby is very high quality. It was easy enough to assemble. It has many quality features. Although it is heavy, I believe that the versitility and durability make it a “must-have” stroller/infant seat.

  49. Ames on September 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I Loved the way this stroller looked at first. A month later, It’s the worst thing ever. It’s way to heavy! Ive scratched my bumpber to deather trying to put it in my trunk. It’s falling apart and the wheel tread Is run down. Ive only used It maybe 15 times. Im already looking at new ones!

  50. Mommy21 on October 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I hate this system and so does my baby! The stroller by itself is wide and hard to maneuver. The car seat is HUGE compared to other car seats and its extremely heavy. It dips in a lot so my baby’s positioning is akward. She cries everytime I put her in it (and I’m positive that she is in right.) It looks great, very stylish but it’s not convenient or functional at all. I would never ever buy this travel system again.

  51. MomtoRy on October 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Yes this is bulky and a bit heavy– but most are so it is what it is. This is a really nice set though, more luxurious and looks and feels more comfortable to me than most of the others we looked at. It’s a bit more expensive than many, but it has nice features like suede that make it a little nicer. The only thing I want to warn about is the color in the online pic. It is not accurate… it looks like beige/tan but in person it is definitely green like an olive green. I also like that it can hold very small babies of 5lbs… you never know when a baby could come early. Overall we like it, I’d give it 5 stars if they could make it a bit smaller… but as I said travel systems are big so knowing that it’s hard to complain!

  52. Sweety mommy on October 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This product doesn’t have its benefits. It is so big that it barely fits into our car. As first time parents, me and my husband thought it was a good idea to buy this but as time goes on we wish we chose something else. Plus the car seat is already heavy without a baby in it. While the baby is growing up, the car seat is getting heavier and heavier.

  53. JLynn on October 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I like this stroller and carseat. However, the car seat is almost adult proof. You have to put the two lower pieces together first and hold them together while you put them into the fastener. It can get very frustrating. It is also difficult to get the car seat in and out of the car when using the base. It seems the base and seat together are a bit to big to be used together in the seat.

i bought the travel system thinking it was a good buy. was i wrong! the handle on the car seat sticks and you can’t move it to any other position. i thought it was just because it’s new but i have had it for four months!

  55. First Time Mommy on October 23rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

This system does not even deserve 1 star, I’d give it Zero if that were an option. I hate this system… It is very heavy, very bulky, and already falling apart. The wheel pieces have fallen off a ton of times, the brakes are wobbly and not sturdy. This is not a good set for a petite Mom, as this is probably heavier and bigger than your body (my experience). It is hard to open and close, and it is not worth the price, too expensive and not functional. Do not buy this!!! It is true this system requires a huge trunk, if you have a small trunk it probably won’t fit, and if it does that’s the only thing you will have room for… If you have this system and have the box go return it now!!! Also, it’s not safe for Mom’s scheduled for a C-section, it will be dangerous for you to lift the stroller into your trunk, and the carrier is heavy without the baby, as your baby grows it will only get heavier!

  56. on the go on October 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The car seat is very hard to clasp. You must have SUV or minivan to transport the stroller… DOES NOT fit in the trunk of a car! The stroller is also very heavy to lift.

  57. Mother of the Phoenix on October 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Great design for boy or girl. Easy to assemble/ install. I love the durability and all of the extras on the stroller (pockets, holders, etc.) The car seat can be a hassle to remove from tiny cars. Best suited for small to large SUV. Stroller is a bit bulky but very easy to use. It closes in one motion. It’s quite a product overall. I refer to it as my daughter’s first car.

  58. NJ New Mommy on October 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The stroller is wonderful! It’s so smooth and easy to operate and use. However, the carrier is SO heavy!!!! Also, we have an 08 Toyota Corolla and need to buy a new car bc no one can use the front passenger seat with the car seat in the back b/c it is too big.

  59. Liz on October 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I would never recommend this product to anyone. This infant seat was “AWEFUL” and hard to put into and out of the base. If the baby is sleeping forget about it… My daughter also hated getting into this seat, it was clearly not comfortable. This seat is also very heavy compared to others.

  60. new mom on October 31st, 2008 at 12:00 am

My baby screams everytime he is put in this car seat. There is clearly no padding. Had to place receiving blanket in to add padding just so he will ride for 20 minutes. Also, stroller is so large we cannot fit it in our trunk. Need a huge SUV to carry the stroller. Would not recommend this to anyone. Will be buying another brand.

  61. Zach's Mommy! on November 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Big, Bulky, Heavy and hard to use. That is how I describe this product. I picked this set out before I had my son. Now that I have had to use it-I see that I should have gone with a different set alltogether. I picked this one out when I was pregnant-and it was cute….little did I know what I needed to look for. I strongly recommend you lift it a few times-as if you are putting it into your vehicle. Also-the seat weighs a lot on it’s own-calculate 20lbs more into that and imagine carrying that around. I have to say that it has done the job-but I really wish it was easier to use and lighter. Also-the straps are difficult to use. It’s really hard to strap in a moving child when you have to allign the snaps just right to go in at the same time. That really frustrates me.

  62. Barb on November 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Listen, I know many have written and said they dislike it, but I love it. My baby is now 4 months and I love the car seat and stroller. Yes, it is bulky, but I could tell that the moment I saw it in Babies R Us- duh. When I strolled it around the store a little bit the first time, I could tell it was large, but liked it nonetheless. I still love it, and although it is larger than others, it will work great throughout her growth and will survive many children after. Thank you!

  63. Sally on November 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This travel system is wonderful. I have a Toyota Corolla (small) and the stroller fits in my trunk with room to spare. It unfolds and collapses with one hand easily. Easy to put together and use with the car seat. My daughter is 4 months and likes the stroller and car seat. When she was a newborn in summer we would lay the back of the stroller all the way down and put her in there so she wouldn’t get too warm. My sister-in-law just purchased this as well because she likes how it works. Car seat doesn’t take up too much room in the backseat.

  64. New Mom on November 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This set is HORRIBLE. We have dreaded going places for the last 6 weeks. The car seat is the worst thing about it. It is big, bulky, heavy, and not durable. I drive a full size explorer and we can barly fit the seat in the middle in the back it hits the front seats. When the handle is set back like it should be in a moving car the people in the front seat need to sit very close to the dashboard which is very unsafe. When we first got the seat put in by our local police chief he said he wouldn’t let his wife have the car seat with an infant. When my husband is driving he has to put his seat up way more than he is comfortable, his knees are rubbing the lower dashboard. When you are trying to take the seat out of the base it is very difficult. I had a c-section and I opened my incision trying to get it out of the base one day. My husband however does not struggle as much as I do with getting it out of the car. It does give him a hard time though. The stroller is fine, any stroller is going to be heavy. We are going to get a new car seat tonight because it is not safe to use anymore. Don’t waste your money, don’t buy this product.

  65. Jill mom of 3 on November 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I had so many problems with this travel system that Cosco the maker of EddieBauer is sending me a whole new (different) system…The stroller and carseat are extremely heavy and its just not practical.

  66. Ethan's Dad on November 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I found these reviews while looking for 2nd car seat base- I’d have to agree with many of the comments here, but think that a few are on the harsh side.
The two big negatives I think are the weight & size- You do need to have a decent sized backseat (fits well in ’06 Sonata, pretty tight in a Ford Contour) Stroller section definitely calls for mondo cargo area too.
However, the carseat snaps into base easily & securely. Large carseat size gives a lot of support & harness is a little finicky but seems very solid/supportive. Have not have trouble with cleanups & ours still looks cool after 3 months use.
I think the best thing is the recliner/harness on stroller. We actually use that independently of carseat a lot in lieu of a “pack & play” type thing. Our son will probably need a bigger play area soon, but he seems pretty happy in the stroller w/o the carseat.
It is pricey, but it’s worked as a 2 in 1 deal for us.

  67. Mommy of 4 on November 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Where do I begin? This system is bulky, heavy and not practical. And, after only having it for 2 months, both back wheels and hardware fell off while my baby was in it!! When I contacted Eddie Bauer they required for me to pay shipping to send it back and to have them return it to me. For that amount of money I can purchase one that actually works! I really don’t recommend this product at all. For the amount of money I spent on this travel system, I expected a lot more.

  68. catch22 on November 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I like the pattern on this and I like the ease of being able to put the car seat directly into the carriage. However, the carriage is bulky, heavy and difficult to steer the back wheels stick out considerably more than the front wheels which catch on just about every door frame.

  69. Bayleigh's Mom on November 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I felt I need to add my review for this product after reading some of comments lately that have been posted. I purchased this system back in July before then it had almost 5 stars and has gone down.

My daughter loves this system. Yes the car seat is on the heavy side and the stroller is bulky but so are many others on the market today. Although the car seat is rather heavy I can lift it easily and trust me I am not very strong. It fits very nicely in the back of my Mazda tribute and snaps in and out easily. I added a Velboa Snuzzler just for extra comfort.

She also slept pretty much exclusively in the car seat since birth. It gives her room to stretch out and she loves car rides.

I would strongly recommend going to Baby’s r us if you are considering buying this system and trying it out first. Pick up the car seat stroll the stroller around (that is what we did) so you know what to expect.

  70. Shannon on November 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After using the carseat for a while it was time to take the baby out.It had been 12 years since I had a little one.I knew I wanted to be able to attach the carseat to the stroller but forgot to see if the handlebars would reverse.(so the baby could face you or out).Well that is not an option and it is so very important to me.And now that I have used it for a few months there is nothing I can do.I also did not like the way the baby fastens in.Also if you put something into the basket while the baby is in it it moves the babys seat.

  71. BabyGirl on December 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

Before I purchased this stroller I spent an hour rolling it around the store doing everything I could in it to get the real feel for it. I have seen a lot of complaints about it being too bulk/heavy and I like that because it is extremely sturdy and durable, I want this stroller to hopefully last me through 2 kids not just this one so i’d rather spend a bit more for something better. Also, for those who have complained about the mobility of the stroller need to try unlocking the front wheels. The wheels are locked in the box and need to be unlocked before using. If you forgot to do that then of course you can’t make any turns and manever your way around a store. The turn radius is awesome once the front wheels are unlocked!

  72. Hailey's Grandma on December 4th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this for my son and daughter-in-law for their new arrival January 19th. It is an extremely nice and attractive travel system, but the price is too high for most people these days.

  73. Amy on December 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love it I have three kids now and had it with my second i dont see myself buying anything else for our newborn if my second child had not completly grown out of it i would of still had for this baby luv it gotta have it wouldnt choose anyother

  74. Sheryl on December 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I gave this 5 stars regardless of my complaints, because I got exactly what I wanted. I wanted something my baby could be comfortable in. Yes it is big, so if you decide to buy this one try the car seat out in your back seat and the stroller in the trunk before the baby is born. It fits in our back seat ok but no you can not put the seats back all the way. We also rented a van for a trip and it was also the same for it too. My daughter did very well for the long road trip we took in it. Slept good and sat comfortably. It is a bit heavy, but manageable. It is durable, I am very hard on the stroller and have taken it on gravel, dirt, and grass with no problems. My baby is now 5 months old and I have had no problems fitting her in the stroller. Before she could even sit up on her own, she loved me to strap her in sitting up so she could see. I plan to use this car seat and stroller for my next baby also.

  75. New Mama on December 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I’ve used this for 3 months now. I like the look– the pattern, the greens (not beige like the BRU pic shows, and the fabrics. It looks more expensive and sophisticated not babyish… I like that. I like the cup holders and the storage are on the top bar- it fits my phone and keys.

I don’t like that bar that goes over it. This should be pushed back while driving but if I put it all the way back a normal adult cannot fit in the front seat of my full sized SUV or Acura TL. They can fit but it is very uncomfortable if they are over 5’6″ so typically I have to leave it up which doesn’t meet safety standards. The same bar is also hard to get back even out of the car…. the 2 buttons on each side don’t want to budge, it takes some muscle to get it back…. it almost gets stuck.

I also find the car seat difficult to get out of the base in the Acura. It’s easier to get out of the SUV when I can stand on the side bars and get leverage by standing above it. It’s not difficult all the time but sometimes it’s a pain. I’d like that to be easier.

Now the stroller- cons– my wheels are getting worn already. They still function but after 3 months I thought the condition would be a bit better. I do use it a decent amount. I don’t like that the storage area underneath is not accesible if the car seat is engaged… you could fit a small thing in like a pencil but not your diaper bag once the car seat is latched into the stroller. I’d like the opening a lil bigger.

I expected this to b e bulky and heavy but the stroller is nearly impossible to get into the Acura TL. It just fits (BARELY) but is very difficult to get in there and it’s heavy to be playing around. It really needs to be like 2 inches smaller then the car seat would be better and the stroller would fit better!!

  76. Wonderful mom on December 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Oh if only i could go back and get a different one. I got this as a baby shower gift because i chose it thinking it is good for the money. It is not worth it, it seems like the cheaper the stroller the better it is. It gets stuck and there are just many problems with this thing. Dont buy this at all.

  77. Mama Bee on December 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller by itself in the “Montecito” pattern. Before buying this stroller we had purchased a Graco Vie4 Travel System which was nice also but we realized that it only holds up to 40 pounds unlike the Graco Quattro Tour that holds up to 50, once realizing this we headed back to the store to exchange it. The Quattro Tour was what we went in to get but we left with the Eddie Bauer instead. After comparing the two for a while in the store me and my boyfriend decided that there wasn’t much difference between the two except the Quattro Tour has a built in temperature and time display which was really neat but not a necessity so we brought our Eddie Bauer home.. it’s really easy to assemble the only tricky part was the foot rest but after getting over the fear of breaking something I just stepped on it a little to get it to lock into place, that being said and by my experience this is definitely a durable stroller and it handles very well, turns sharp corners very nicely. The front wheels come locked so be sure to unlock them or you won’t be able to steer side to side, having them locked is good for a bumpier ride when you don’t want the wheels to be going all over the place. I love the HUGE basket underneath for storing just about everything you need and more. The head support pillow and shoulder strap pads are also a nice touch to keep baby comfortable 🙂 Yes some reviews say it’s bulky and heavy but it’s just as heavy and bulky as any full sized stroller..if you’re looking for something small and light you should be looking at an umbrella type stroller, they have some pretty sturdy designs out there now with added benefits like an under basket and a cup holder. I would highly recommend this stroller to anyone looking for a full sized stroller.

  78. New Dad in KS on December 23rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Pros: Well Build,Nice Stylish Design, Easy to Assemble, Sturdy
Cons: Very Heavy, Very Very hard to buckle the baby in the car seat, Base is messy to latch onto the car seat.

  79. Kentucky mom of 2 on December 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This travel system is extremely disappointing. Our daughter outgrew the infant car seat at 12 weeks old because the straps were too tight. The headrest pillows are ridiculously small. She was never comfortable in it and the material made her very hot.
The stroller required complete assembly. The cheap plastic materials do not fit properly in their designated spots and the footrest continuosly falls off. It is extremely heavy and very difficult to make turns.

  80. Irish "First Time" Mummy in CA on January 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

Great stroller and car seat. Like the cup holders the place to store the diaper bag. Its a little heavy for me(mum) to load in and out of car and it takes up most of the truck but while he is small, it does the job. I like the fact that it collapses easily and opens easily (once someone showed me how to work it)

  81. busy mom on January 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

the seat has very high sides, instead of being a bit more outwards to the side- so he is a bit squished from shoulder to shoulder- but doesn’t seem so secure and sturdy. It was great until he got to be about 15 lbs. The car seat is heavy and bulky. The stroller is kind of difficult to push through isles at the store. My baby does not like the stroller itself as the heigh adjustments for the back are odd- either lay flat, in between or straight up – none are just right to sit and comfortably look at things. He likes a $15 umbrella stroller better.

  82. Mason's Mommy on January 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really like this infant seat and stroller. It’s very easy to use, and sturdy! I wanted a carseat stoller combo that not everyone else had, and that’s why I picked this one. The infant seat is really nice because it is deeper that most so baby can stay in it longer. My only dislike is that after the first 3 uses the conopy on the stroller has already started to rip.

  83. new mommy on January 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Travel system is very easy to set up, adjust while your baby grows and put together. The car seat is very big and bulky and is hard to carry by itself. My baby is 5 months and this stroller is very durable and will last me for a while!

  84. GLLotus on January 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Very smooth, easy to operate, very well made.

  85. Kay on January 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The stroller is very nice, love the pattern. Hate that you can’t put diaper bag in basket if the car seat is already in there. Obviously you grab your baby first thing when you get out of the car – not the diaper bag.

Now on to the car seat. It’s HORRIBLE! I can’t tell you how many times I stood there swearing at the thing! The restraints don’t loosen enough for my son so during the winter he can’t wear his jacket, the buckle takes a lot of effort to get them alligned next to eachother then try to click it down which is a while other process. I would love to burn this car seat if it wasn’t so expensive!

  86. Mommy trying to help other dads & moms on January 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Some of us must have gotten the LEMON VERSION of this travel system based on the comments. Not only is it very heavy & bulky, it is Extremely Difficult to maneuver, especially in stores. The wheels are constantly getting stuck and you end up running into everything. EVEN WORSE is that the car seat clip is VERY HARD to lock & the straps frequently flip-over. Everyone who tries to strap the baby in finds it a difficult chore. For the price and brand name both mommy & daddy are Very Disappointed. We wish we had picked another travel system.

  87. MissesSleeping on January 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The stroller is OK. The thing in the back that is supposed to put the seat down so you can put the car seat on the stroller jams a lot. I really HATE that. Speaking of the car seat…Dang that thing is HEAVY! My back is killing me. Also, the belts do not loosen enough. Sometimes I have a really difficult time getting my son all strapped in.

  88. Unhappy Nana! on January 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

No description of carseat is given! It is terrible…unit is heavy, crotch latch needs to align before snapping in, difficult to get in/out of base & child will outgrown at 15 lbs! My grandson is 4 months old/17.5 lbs & cannot snap at crotch because highest shoulder mount goes up his back 2″ before coming down his front!

I paid TOP DOLLAR thinking Eddie Bauer is the BEST and you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, therefore cost was not a factor. Don’t waste your money!

I knew I would need daily since I babysit for my daughter. I’m already having to replace it!

  90. Wanting to help moms with my comments on January 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This was the worst item we have ever gotten. Eddie Bauer should stick at what it does best, and its def not baby items.

I DONT RECOMMEND BUYING, unless you want to waste a lot of money on buying more than one car seat.

  91. aligatorbaba on January 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really like this stroller and it is built well. However, it does not fold very compactly, so it does not fit well in the trunk of my car. Also, the buckle is hard to fit together. I do think it is great for small newborns because they seem safe and snuggled in. His head never flopped around.

  92. Stay @home mom on January 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Worked great when our daughter was 4 lbs but by the time she was 15 lbs it was unbearable to carry. Even my husband finds it extremely heavy. Not to mention @15 lbs I couldnt put a winter coat on my daughter in the dead of winter, We couldnt wedge her in it. There isnt enough slack in the straps to clip her in anymore. Out grown @ 15lbs …What a shame for such an expensive item!

  93. mark on February 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Wow, very surprised at the other reviews on this site in regards to this whole travel system. My son is only 4 months and sure the seat is going to start to get heavy but one cannot expect to be able to carry this around easily with a 9month old inside. The chair itself doesn’t weigh an exorbitant amount.
When my wife and I selected this stroller we did so with the intention that this would be the daddy and family outing stroller while she got an umbrella stroller that was easier for her to handle.
This stroller operates wonderfully, looks great, and has already been the envy of 2 other sets of parents that settled on the cheaper yet inferior Graco and Evenflo systems.
Absolutely no complaints, its easy to use, folds and unfolds as it should – in a word Perfect

  94. Mommy to Jacob on February 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The carseat is heavy and is difficult to get in and out of the base. Also, the shoulder straps don’t give enough slack in case your baby is wearing a thicker outfit. The crotch needs to be joined together then you can snap it in to place. The basket under the stroller makes it a bit difficult to get the diaper bag in and out; if you have a full diaper bag. The handle in the back that allows the back of the stroller to go up and down, is a pain in the “you know what” to release. The stroller folds nicely and is easy to transport but this ENTIRE contraption is not meant for long term use. My son is 6 months old now and about 18lbs and he is outgrowing his seat.

  95. Jessica on February 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Please do NOT buy the infant seat!! I registered for this travel system because I thought it looked very nice and it would be fitting for a girl or a boy (since I did not find out the sex of my baby). It is HORRIBLE!!! It takes me about 10 minutes to get my son buckled in his seat. The fastener consists of two pieces that have to overlap one another perfectly, before it clicks into the belt! Even family members who have tried to help me, say that it is a nightmare!!! Please save yourself the trouble!!

  96. Mrs. Dee on February 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Horrible car seat. Impossible to get latched. The pieces are plastic and have to overlap perfectly in order to get into the buckle between the legs. My son SCREAMS every time. My friends have the Gracco and they have metal cllips that lock in one at a time. Please do the legwork and try it out before you buy it.

  97. New Mom on February 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband and I registered for this when I was pregnant because it looked very sturdy and safe and we liked the bubble level thing on the car seat. I did read that is was heavy but I thought “oh, how heavy could it be?” Well, my daughter is now four months old, and it is a struggle for me to carry her around and to get it in and out of the car. She is more petite so she fits fine and she must think it is comfortable because she falls asleep all the time, but I’m afraid it might give me back problems. I now try and avoid carrying it unless I can put it on the stroller right away. The stroller is fine except with the car seat snapped in, it is almost impossible to get to the basket to get out your huge diaper bag.

It took me forever to find a stroller/carseat that I liked. I saw this one and decided to buy it based on the look (there were no reviews on this product when I purchased it). It’s cute, but is very heavy!! I’ve lifted other people’s carseats and they were way lighter! So I recommend you buy a different one!

  100. Roscoe's Mom on February 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a good quality travel system! The seat itself is a bit heavy and it is hard to grip and carry. It snaps into the base no problem for me (I have read other reviews that say it is hard). It takes a few times to get used to buckling your child in but once you got the hang of it you can do it with your eyes closed. The stroller folds to a decent size with one button. Overall, it is a good quality travel system

  101. MN on February 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The stroller doesn’t fit in my truck, so we NEVER use it. I have no problem with holding the seat, even with my 6month old in it, it’s heavy, but I have nothing to compare it to. My only complaint is that I don’t think my son is comfortable in it. The cushion doesn’t have much padding… I wish the person who bought it didn’t pay so much and we got a different stroller/car seat… I feel it was a waste of money for us.

  102. Busy Mom on February 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really like this Travel System. We used the car seat up until 5 months but still use the carriage all the time. Car seat was very comfortable for baby. Loved that it had additional head support and padding for bringing a small baby home from the hospital. All material on the carriage is very soft and comfortable as well. Hood on carriage comes down low enough to block the sunlight, has a huge basket underneath and folds up very easily.
The carriage is a bit on the heavy side but I don’t mind it because I only pick it up to put it in and out of the car. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it is a bit wider in the back than other carriages.

  105. Jenna on February 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I wasn’t looking to spend this much on a Travel System but I really liked this one so despite the high price tag I bought it. Well the car seat is great, I haven’t had any problems with it at all but the stroller is a different story. The majority of my walking has been indoors (stores, malls, etc.) because of the cold so how are these wheels so worn down from using this carriage for a few months? Seriously, they look like I walked miles on concrete. Also, storage basket underneath is starting to rip already. My diaper bag is NOT that heavy. I am really beginning to regret my choice. If this is happening after just a few months, what is going to happen after using it for a few years?

I went to the store to purchase my travel system that I registered for but did not get only to find out that it was no longer being carried. My boyfriend and I spotted this one and decided to give it a try seeing as it looked sturdy and matched the color theme we were trying to go for. Assembling took some time but once we got rolling things moved along. I think its pretty easy to use, a bit bulky but sturdy. The overlapping straps really aren’t that big of an issue. I found it best to play around with it a but before your baby is here to get the hang of how it works. Overall, I really like the feel and look of this travel system and would reccomend it to a friend.

  107. New Mom on March 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I added this travel system on my registry because it looked really nice and I’m thinking for that price it should be a really good one. Got it as a gift and I hardly used it. The fabric and the look of it is really nice but its soooooo heavy and bulky, I cant carry it by myself. Now i have to look for another stroller for my daughter.

  108. Rayleigh's Momma on March 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband and his expensive tastes picked out this one. We got to take it for a test drive around the store and it seemed simple enough to use, but for some reason I couldn’t seem to get the car seat to snap into the stroller. After a few tries it got easier. Once home I assembled the stroller all by myself 9 months pregnant and had no real problems. I also installed the base to the car seat and that was a breeze.

Once my daughter arrived I realized how inconvenient the buckles are in the car seat. Total pain with a squirming baby. But the weight of the seat was never really an issue we lived in a second story apartment and I carried her up and down the stairs all the time.

I tried to take her for a walk and since we store the stroller in the back of the SUV I figured no problem right? WRONG! I had a c-section and even a month after I couldn’t lift the stroller. This stroller is a pain to use and unless you’ve got plenty of room to store it in the car, almost useless.

Now that my daughter is 6 months old she’s moved on to a different car seat. But we still use the stroller every now and then, but if its fully reclined, forget about getting in the basket underneath. The tray in front of the baby that swings up when you put them in seems a little cheep. I’ve also noticed that when the stroller is folded up and you try to move it the fabric from the basket drags on the ground. I do like that you can fold and unfold the stroller with one hand. My daughter seems to love riding in it. I will admit it has taken quite a beating getting in and out of the car but it still looks new. Over all I like this travel system but I would not purchase it again.

  109. just a mom on March 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The Stroller was easy to pack up, but the car seat, which we use daily is just too heavy to carry around and too difficult to get my young child in and out without creating a very Fussy baby. If I would have known, I would have not chosen this item

  110. Shae's Mommy on March 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this travel system. This is my first child a beautiful little girl, and i am very happy with my choice. It’s stylish and i feel confident putting my daughter in the car. The stroller is easy to use and the travel center snaps in with ease…

  111. shelly on March 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this for my daughter who is now 6.
The car seat is horrible.Initially me and my husband thought we made a good choice. But soon we realized we made mistake.even though we used the car seat less(once a month).Worst part is the car seat got stuck so badly to the base ,that now we have to buy another one.You cannot figure it out how to separate them.
Also, the stroller is not that good.Good part is the basket which is really good for doing grocery. It holds a real good weight.
Bad thing is the cup tray in front part breaks easily, don’t know how.The recliner positions are really not as said comfortable. My baby strains her neck while sitting in her stroller.
It is so huge that it does not fit in the trunk easily even for medium sized cars.

This is really NOT worth the price.Wish i could have bought GRACO.

  112. Jayden's mom on March 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This car seat is horrible! The straps don’t fit my 3 month old son weighing in at 15lbs. Is so HEAVY that I can’t bring it down from my 2nd floor apt. I went based on the name, but regret the travel system. I’m back in the market for a new one since my son is so uncomfortable in it. I will never buy any baby products from Eddi again!

  113. first time mom on March 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The infant car seat buckle is impossible. What a stupid design idea to have to hold both pieces together while trying to snap it into buckle. I hate it. The car seat and stroller are both very heavy, not good when you have had a c-section. Also stroller barely fits in my trunk, wish I had been able to check that before I bought it. You have no access to basket underneath with the infant car seat in use.

  114. Annoyed!! on March 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

So far the actual stroller is fine on this product…however, when you put the carrier in the stroller, you can hardly put anything in the basket below because the back needs to be all the way down. That’s not the most difficult part of it though…the bottom buckle on the carrier is VERY ANNOYING! You have to put both of the sides together, hold them together in order to buckle and snap the baby in….this may be confusing, but this is very difficult to do anytime. We are first time parents and didn’t think to look at this feature…for this reason, I would not purchase this product again because every time I have to snap my baby in the carrier, it takes 5 minutes just to get the bottom buckle snapped…would not buy this system!!

  115. Mickey on March 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I read the reviews before I purchased and didn’t listen. Now my neck & back have been hurting me terribly because the carseat is so heavy. I couldn’t of even imagined it was possible to weigh that much. Then when I get in the car I have to sit almost in the dashboard because the carseat behind me is so big! AND i have an Eddie Baur King Ranch. Go Figure! You will regret buying this item. Definitely!

  116. Happy First Time Mom on March 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Totally met my expectations. Easy to use; clicks in and out without any trouble. My husband did say that it was hard putting the stroller together. Fits in my smaller 4 door car.

  117. MS on March 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

The car seat and the stroller are trash. Don’t wast your money. It is very big and bulky. The stroller is very heavy and hard to lift up to put in the trunk, and it will not fit in every trunk. The storage area is big but it you put a lot the wheels will not ride straight.

  118. 1st time Mommy on March 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is WONDERFUL!!!! I noticed some people have complained it is heavy. I am only 5’2″ and have had no trouble lifting it to load it into our vehicle. It is just as heavy as many travel systems. Additionally, I have loaded the bottom storage compartment to the max and the stroller pushes just fine and goes straight.
I have this stroller for 9 months now and have used it for long walks every day. We have logged about many many miles on this stroller and it is still functioning in fantastic condition.
Many of may neighbors have the very same travel system and are equally as satisfied.
EXCELLENT PRODUCT and I would definately recommend it.

  119. mom's friend on March 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My baby came early, before we could buy the stroller I had shortlisted and we needed a carseat to bring him home (I was going to get a travel system). I got so busy afterwards that did not even have time to take it back to the store. This is the primary stroller we have had for the last 11 months and it sucks. But just the fact that we spent over $200 on it just makes me cringe. I have not been able to buy another one because we can’t afford to. There is nothing likeable about it. Initially the baby would not sit in it as he could not see me… all strollers should be reversible… the following research supports this idea [@] It is definitely not a one hand operation stroller or carseat. The carseat latch (to take it off from the base), the carseat handlebar latch, the stroller folding latch and the stroller reclining latch all get stuck without warning, very frequently. It is very frustrating especially if you have a crying baby or you are in a hurry. The carseat insert was so uncomfortable that even my 5 lb baby had trouble sitting in it. The lower basket on the stroller becomes almost inaccessible if you have the carseat on the stroller or if the stroller seat is in the lowest reclining position. The peekaboo window is probably ok for a 6’5″ person but most mothers are well below that height so at 5’3″ I have to really bend over to be able to see my baby’s face… and when he is lying in it… forget using it. The adjustable seat belt on the stroller is too tight even in its maximum open position(my baby is not even that big) and forget using it if the baby is in the lying position because it won’t even fit. The footrest tray keeps falling off all the time too. Also the stroller is very heavy and bulky. I have trouble fitting it in my Jetta’s trunk. It won’t even fit in a smaller car. Above all, my baby has already outgrown the stroller at 11 months and 20 lbs (the space is too tight when he is sitting up and his legs won’t fit if he is lying down) even though they say the stroller holds upto 50 lbs.

  120. Mother of One on March 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Of all the stuff I’ve purchased for my baby this is my BIGGEST REGRET. This has got to be the most inconvenient travel system known to man. It’s so big and heavy that I break into a sweat every time I take it in and out of my car. I drive a full size SUV but the stroller barely fits in my trunk even when folded! If I had a regular car or smaller SUV there would be no way this would fit at all. I wish I had done more research and looked into other brands of car seats and strollers before getting this because I can’t even find an universal stroller frame (one of those strollers where you just snap in the infant car seat) that works with this particular car seat. I’ve been contacting different makers of universal stroller frames asking if their strollers work with this and so far every single response has been NO. Oh and the car seat itself is very difficult to use too. It’s so hard to strap my baby in it because the buckles are so darn hard to close/open and the straps don’t release far enough so that you can easily take your baby out. My baby is small too!

  121. E bear's Momma on March 31st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love the pattern of this travel system–it’s my favorite color, and it’s gender neutral. The seat material has started to fuzz now that we’ve been using it for five months, but I’m sure a sweater shaver would take care of it. The carseat is very comfortable, fits a wide range of sizes and has very durable straps and buckles. The buckle is hard to snap, but we got the hang of it pretty quickly. I love that the seat is designed to be carried over one arm against the hip–it has saved my back time and again. One frustrating thing about the carseat is that you have to pull it straight up to get it out of the base. One fraction of an inch off and it’s not coming out.
The carseat locks into the stroller, which makes it very safe. I like how cushy the stroller is, with a detachable head pillow. The parent tray fits my phone and keys great, and the basket has springs, so even when the carseat is clicked in, I could store my bag in the basket if I didn’t need it for awhile. The steering is not that great on the stroller, especially as the baby gets heavier. My baby was 16 lbs at four months, and that’s when we went over to a lighter stroller with better steering. It was getting hard to maneuver. When the baby was tiny, though, having the ease of transfering from car to stroller without unbuckling was totally worth learning how to maneuver the bulky stroller.

  122. Mom to two little monkeys on April 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

When I read reviews, it is usually with a grain of salt…. I should have listened to those who said this stroller was too big, heavy, and difficult to easily use. Wow! I have an SUV with ample cargo space, but this monster takes up over half. It is also so heavy that it tips, then slams the back window so hard when I have to brake, I am afraid it will crash through! It is not easily lifted into the car, either- it is awkward and bulky, especially for someone who has a back injury. Also, the “easy” one-click to release is very tricky. Both clips for the handle of the carseat must be pressed simultaniously for it to rotate down, and the quick-release from the base requires wrist contortion. Also, buckling is also VERY difficult. The bottom clips must be pressed together (but won’t interlock) and then slipped into the buckle, but they never want to stay together long enough for you to get it buckled. You really need 3 hands! The foot rest and baby tray always fall off since they are not secured, either. I am truly sorry my MIL paid full price for this, because it is a nightmare for me to use! Trust me- try out all the features at the store before buying! We picked it for the look and feel, but it turned out to be a poor decision. Yes, it is soft and looks nice, but that is just cosmetic, and does not justify the price or discomfort.

I have no idea what people are complaining about,I asked my dad to buy me this travel systm. and was actually a little scared when I read all the negtv. comments, but I love this set.If you read all the instructions there is no way you will have any problem, I found that the car seat comes out/in of the base and stroller very easily, the straps accommodate to the baby just perfect, and they adjust just fine, it is true the stroller is a bit heavy, but if you want a travel system you are going to get a heavier stroller, I had a C section (and am 5’3″) but the weight of the stroller was not big deal,I just LOVE this travel system I think is top notch!

  124. mom08 on April 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

When I first saw this I fell in love right away because it looks comfortable and stylish. I was so excited and looking forward to use it but when my baby arrived and began using it, all I felt is disappointment. It’s seems comfortable for my son but honestly it’s not user friendly. Even my husband hated it because it’s too bulky, heavy and the carrier is so hard to put and take apart from the base. For a 90lbs mom, It’s really killing my back and just wish that someday I won’t get more hurt. One day at the mall, a pregnant woman approach me and asked if I like the stroller because she likes it. I told her my experience and I think I convinced her not to buy. The reason being is that I don’t want somebody to go through what I have been. I wish we didn’t spent this much money…

  125. first time parent on April 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This product is very stylish and neutral for either sex. I use it everyday. The car seat is comfortable but too bulky. The stroller is durable and easy to use. Basket access is limited while car seat and stroller fit together, but a great size once stroller is used alone.

  126. SAHM on April 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We got it as a shower gift. For the most part i like it. My gripes are small. I didn’t like that I couldn’t secure the carrier to all shopping carts and that it was so large & heavy BUT I felt as though my daughter was very safe & snug in it so that’s a good trade off. It was a little difficult to get in & out of the base but again, she seemed very secure so that seemed like a good trade also. The stroller is big but I am 5’4 and had no problems lifting it in & out of my Cr-V. It is a little bulky but my baby is sooooo comfy in it. I have a light weight stroller that reclines and she is NO WHERE near as comfy and cries sometimes. This one she can snooze in while I shop. The con, it’s to bulky to get through the aisles of some stores at the mall so that’s why I use the light weight at the mall. This one is great for walks and I jogged w/ it and it was great for that. My daughter cries in the lightweight and sits up & is happy in this stroller. So it’s all a trade, I deal w/ it being kind of big & bulky so she’s nice and comfy & happy.

It works great in and out of the care into the stroller base.

The stroller is very easy to manage, but the infant carrier is a little heavy.

  129. Jen on April 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really liked this Travel System in the store, it had everything I wanted and even though it was heavier than others I looked at, I bought it anyway.
I really liked the carrier. It wasn’t any heavier than others i looked at, straps were easy to use, snapped on carriage easily and in and out of base easily. Baby was always VERY comfy in it.
In fact, I really had no complaints about this carriage while using it with the infant carrier. It was only until we started sitting him in the carriage more that I found little things that I hate.
Carriage material is soooo soft and comfortable and straps are easy to adjust, however the little pads on the straps that are used to prevent straps from digging into baby’s neck NEVER stay in place. They are always sliding down. Another thing I don’t like, the seat tends to slope forward and it always looks like he is sliding out. Between fixing him in the seat and constantly fixing the pads on the straps, my walks in this carriage are getting extremely frustrating. It never looks like he is comfortable.

  130. Emma's Mom on April 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this travel system before our baby was born and were so excited to use it. But after she was born, she immediatly hated sitting in it. The crotch strap and fasteners are very difficult to latch; especially with a baby fighting to get out. The lever to disconnect it from the base likes to stick, and sometimes I have to press it 4-5 times before I can get it out. The travel system was easy to put together, but once I started using it, it didn’t turn very well. One of the front wheels didn’t like to turn all the time, but then the other one started to do the same thing. I’ve only used the stroller two times because I hate it so much. I will be getting rid of it soon. Try it out in the store before buying!

  131. PeachyMomof4 on April 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love how it folds up to you and you can grab the bars and just lift it into the vehicle easily. Plenty of space! Soft and comfortable. Spring loaded basket so you can pull it down instead of pushing the baby up. Not much to complain about here and this is my 3rd travel system I have owned in my motherhood! Thanks Eddie Bauer!

  132. Gabby's mom on April 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I like the colors on the travel system, and the stroller is very sturdy. But, often the latch to remove the infant seat from base sticks. It can be hard to get to click down completely into the base. It is hard and awkward to click the bottom of the harness. When the infant seat is in stroller it is very hard to access the basket. It is also hard to strap my baby into the stroller part as you have to hold her and try to get two straps clicked in and then taking her out you got to be quick with holding her and unclicking the straps because there is nothing to stop her from sliding right out. It works, but not as easily as I would like.

As for the awkwardness of the stroller and the weight, well we looked at the product specs before we purchased. The stroller is made of STEEL not aluminum as most other strollers are, so of course it weighs a lot! It is large, but that is apparent in the product info or by seeing it is person.

  133. anthony's mom on April 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have used this product a total of 5 times so far and already I can not close it up for travle purposes. The handle part no longer works and my baby has only been in it 5 times he is only 3 months old.It seems almost uncomfortable for the baby and it is also hard to release car seat from bases they seem to stick sometimes.

  134. first time mom on May 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I should have gone with the Chicco. I listened to my husband though. My friend has one and it pushes so much smoother and is narrower It’s hard to steer with one hand, never thought I would care about that! The basket is very big which is very convenient for shopping. It’s kind of a rough ride. The car seat is a huge pain. The straps get twisted all of the time! It is bulky, but I imagine that’s with any stroller. It’s easy to fold and unfold.

  135. momoftwo on May 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

Car seat is extremely heavy and bulky. Latch on car seat rarely releases from base on first pull. So large doesn’t fit in the back of a Grand Prix comfortably for front seat passengers. Difficult to buckle straps when child is in seat. Wish I would have tested out more before purchasing.

  136. Sathish on May 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this recently in babies r us. And came to home and tried fitting it. The Leg piece did not fit at all. Had to go back to the shop and return. I liked the comfort cushion. So got another one. I fitted it in the shop itself and found that another piece didnt fit right. We had two strollers in hand, took accessories from two different strollers and formed one. My worst purchase ever. Then when I tried fitting in the car, it took almost 50% of the trunk size and did not easily go as well. Mine is a Sentra 2008 model. So you imagine the trunk size. Worst thing is the quality of the packaging and the quality of the plastic used by the stroller. So immediately, return that also back (2nd return) and bought a graco snug ride instead. After experiencing the hardship of eddie bauer, graco was very very comfortable, less space consuming, more bright coloured and more peace. Its little bit heavy but thats a compromise I make for safety.

  137. Jane, grandmom on May 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

The stroller is nice although a bit bulky; however, the car seat has several issues. For example, it is very difficult to get the infant seat into and out of the base and even more difficult to get the baby into the car seat. The harnesses and clips are always slipping under the baby and it is very hard to clip and un-clip and harnesses.

  138. 1stxmom on May 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Overall the product is of good quality. Not too sure if it is worth the price paid for. But I got it as a gift for the shower, so for me it is! The color appeared to be tannish online but in reality is more towards a taupy green. The car seat and the stroller are both very heavy to handle. Feel like I get strained after each usage. Wheels are amazing, glides with no problem. The base for the car seat is wonderful. Storage bin under stroller is a good size, holds items very well. I’ve had problems with the car seats canopy/ umbrella, it seems to have a gap on one side, maybe its a defect?! Does not reach all the way like the other side and is correctly aligned. Car seats handle buttons are tough to press! For first time parents that are not used to car seats or strollers…I would suggest to get something that is a little lighter in weight. But the products are great if you are a weight lifter and have no problem with weight!

  139. Melissa the new mommy on May 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is a bit heavy, however my son loves it. It is very soft and comftorable unlike other strollers which use a water resistant material that is just not comftorable.

  140. Skye on May 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I’m a first time parent and bought this travel system because of the name and the style. It was between this one or the Chicco. I love this product. I have not had many problems with it. Its not perfect, but all things have flaws, and sometimes its just the luck of the draw.

My son loves this stroller and always is happy, content and comfortable in it. He also loved the car seat. (we only just upgraded to a larger carseat, he is 10 mths old)

On the upside it is comfortable, airy, easy to use, Easy to fold, has a Large Basket, Has a multi reclining system, Tray area for baby and for parent (which I love)

On the downside the back wheelbase is wide, the system is heavy and bulky (not for small cars)- my basket started to unravel at one of the seams (so invest in store warranty), the buttons were a little stiff, but I eventually got the hang of it.

Other than that, as a single parent, I am very happy with this system overall, have no regrets and would buy it again or suggest it to others.

  141. Registered nurse and 1st time mom on May 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The car seat is very comfortable for my baby; she sleeps in it all the time. The stroller is very easy to fold and open up; it only takes one hand. I love having the “window” so that I can keep an eye on her when we are walking. The stroller is very heavy to lift in and out of my SUV. The car seat is also heavy, especially with baby in it and is hard to lift out of the base; it sticks sometimes. Straps are difficult to snap in. All in all, I am happy with it. It does look great and I get many compliments on what a “fancy” stroller it is. The color is also neutral so it fits for both a girl or a boy.

  142. TysMom on May 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

my son is very comfortable in his car seat and stroller. it is a little tough to get him out of the base of the car seat but i feel better knowing that he is locked in securely. i love it and so does he.

  143. Carrie on May 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this system because I wanted my child to be safe and comfortable. Which she is, but now I find myself buying a more practical stroller because I can’t fit anything in my trunk but the stroller. On top of that the stroller is falling apart. The foot rest will not stay on and the basket is tearing slowly. Some of the seams are unravelling too. I really wish I would have listened to my friends and got a Graco or one of the lighter systems. The other thing is the car seat has to sit inside the grocery cart so shopping is pretty difficult untless you have someone with you. Plus you can’t fit any groceries in the trunk with the stroller. Okay I think I have griped enough, but I Strongly urge first time parents to get the less fancy “lighter” strollers. They are in it for such a short period of time and then comfort is exchanged for practicality.

  144. Erica on May 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have really liked this stroller. The color is what attracted us to it in the store, but the quality is great. We’ve used it for 5 months.

My husband took the car seat base to the safety council to have them install it. The woman there said it was one of the safest bases she’s ever installed. The base is very secure in the car, and has little give. We even had been given some sort of seat belt contraption in order to tighten the base, but we’ve never had to use it. The system does come with one base. If you want more than one base, you have to order it online at the babiesrus website.

The car seat is heavy, but this is the biggest travel system I have seen. So, for those of you who buy this product online instead of at the store, be aware that this is the Cadillac of stroller travel systems. I bought this at the store and tried it out, so I knew the car seat was on the heavy side. The car seat is a little awkward in grocery carts b/c of its size, but I’ve found that it still can fit in the grocery cart seat.

The stroller is big, too, but I think it folds up nicely for its size. I have had no problems lifting it in and out of my small SUV. It does take up most of the room in the back, but I still am able to fit other items around it and on top of it. I like the parent tray at the top of the stroller. It has 2 cup holders plus a covered compartment. The basket underneath the stroller is big. I read of couple reviews that stated the basket is difficult to access, which I agree with, but only when the seat of the stroller is all the way down.

    Pros:
    safe car seat base
big car seat (this is a pro for me b/c I like that my child has room to grow in it)
    brake for the back wheels
    big canopies that are retractable
parent and child tray (child tray is removable)
    adjustable seat
    big basket underneath the stroller
front wheels that swivel or lock in place
    folds nicely
    padded fabric

    cons:
    car seat is heavy
i haven’t been able to use just one hand to unfold
    sometimes the folding mechanism jams

Again, for those of you who are thinking about buying this sight-unseen, this is a big travel system, but I would highly recommend it if you don’t mind lugging around a few extra pounds.

This is my first travel system. I thought it would be easier to just take the baby from the car to the stroller without having to take her out of the car seat so that’s why I got this one. It’s heavy which I don’t mind, but this stroller doesn’t fold as easy as my Graco did. So it’s a pain when I’m trying to put it in the car. Also it has great storage underneath but you can’t access it until your baby is sitting up in the stroller.

My husband and I just bought this system, brought it home and it only took minutes to assemble. We bought this system after trying out the graco system at the store. I was VERY displeased with the way the graco car seat locked into the stroller which is why we went with this system. We are VERY pleased with this system. The fabric used is soft and cozy. The car seat is alittle heavy but do-able, and I dont have any trouble folding and unfolding with one hand. So far my husband and I both love this system. It is comfortable for both my husband and I (Im 5’6 and my husband is 6’2 and it works for both of us) I would recommend this system.

This product is wonderful. I second guessed it based on the reviews I had read but I received it as a gift and I fell in love with it! It is safe and sturdy. The reviews said it was hard to handle and bulky, yes it is larger but it is safe! As for the hard to handle with turns and things, I think it “corners like its on rails”. It is absoutely wonderful and we love it! The seat leans all the way back and Brady *3 months* doesn’t care much for his car seat and since the seat reclines we can just lay him down, strap him in and go.

Stroller is hard to steer, I also have a Graco Aura that I got at a yard sale which is MUCH better! The car seat is very big and bulky. I can’t use it at grocery stores, it’s a fight to get it in and out of the car because of it’s size, and I have an SUV. The storage under the seat in the stroller is impossible to access if the child’s in the stroller. If you’re looking for a travel system, go with the Graco Aura! I think it’s quite a bit cheaper and sooooo much easier to use!

Big, bulky, bought broken…customer service not helpful. Under warranty so they are sending me a new travel system BUT first expect me to send all restraint buckles for car seat and stroller […]

This stroller is worth every penny. It is sturdy, and not tippy. I walk everyday with my son, and he is more than comfortable in the stroller. When he was first born I loved being able to put the carseat on the stroller, and pull the stroller hood over the carseat hood. It allowed me to keep him in his own little “bubble”. The basket has springs on either side so even when the seat itself is laying flat, you can still access the things in the basket. It also has a window on the hood so you can see what baby is doing when the hoods are overlapped. There are two cup holders, and a little compartment for your cell phone or snack, and the little tray has a cupholder, and spot for babies snack. The babies tray is removable so it can be washed easily.

When I was looking into this stroller the only bad thing people had to say was that it was heavy. I personally don’t think that is bad. I’d rather it be heavy, sturdy, and not tippy, than have it light and tipping all the time.

I would recommend this travel system stroller to everyone. It’s worth every penny.

My husband and I went to the store and “test-drove” a lot of systems. This one stood out due to the ease, style/design and other things at that time. When we got the system home, my husband said it was pretty easy to put together. We didn’t realize it at the time, but the car seat came with an insert for smaller babies. This came really handy when I delivered 8 weeks early. My son was a little over 5 lbs when he came home and we didn’t need any special inserts. The nurses at the hospital even commented how good the car seat was and that it was able to hold my son snuggly and didn’t need those special inserts. so it worked really well. As we used this a lot more, we realized all the other helpful features. The locking mechanism for the front or back wheels, the ability to lock the front wheels so the stroller only goes straight. Great, huge basket to store things. Easy carrier snap-on. The only thing on ours was that the wheels started creaking/squeaking. Yes, it’s a bit bulky/heavy. But we have a SUV and it’s not much of a big deal. My husband doesn’t even notice it anymore. I even made sure he lifted this thing at the store to make sure he was comfortable with the weight. It was also an easy thing to collapse and pull out for use.

I got this travel system because I felt in love with how it looks. My 6 months soon never complained and seams very comfortable the only problem is that the material is very hot, my baby is always sweating, specially now that is summer we sometimes do not live the house because I fell bad taking him in such a hot stroller.

  154. Excited mother on July 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is def something that eddie bauer should stop making.. You would think that something this expensive would be good.. ITS NOT.. Its hard to use, the stroller is very heavy and hard to put into the car, the car seat is also very heavy even without the baby inside. I am selling this as soon as possible!!

  155. Stephi671 on July 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

At first I was hesitant to buy this EB System. It felt heavy and looked bulky. I have 2 other kids and have experience on how heavy the carseat can get once the baby was inside. However, my husband and I tested other travel systems and this one was sturdy and the carseat attachement to the stroller was safe and secure. The cover of the system is stylish for a boy or a girl. The stroller basket is huge and bends for easy access when the seat is laid flat. The carseat also has an adjustable leveler…oh how I love this feature. I didn’t have to buy a seperate leveler or put a blanket or towel under the carseat base!
What I dislike about this system is that it is heavy, bulky and when the carseat is attached to the shopping cart, I can’t see over the cart. Its too high, I’m short, now if you are tall or wear heels then its not a problem.
Overall, I am very pleased and happy with this travel system!

  156. Jada's Mama on July 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have not used this travel system yet but after putting it together it looks very nice, the fabric is soft not like that hard weird fabric on most Graco systems. The storage basket is very roomy and is easy to get to without disturbing the child. The only down fall I think will be the buckle on the carseat it’s one that interlocks together and has to be buckled simultaneously for it to work.

  157. Jilly on July 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I’ve been using this system for 9 months. I wouldn’t say it’s horrible – but i urge you to please spend your money on a Graco or Chicco. For the money – this system should be much better than it is. This system is nice looking, but bulky and not easy to use. The car seat – much heavier than others. The straps clip in – but test it out – you have to overlap, hold and clip into place. The stoller – the “button” at the top does not easily “press” so you can fold and unfold the stroller. this sounds easy… but remember you’re holding your baby or he/she is sqirmming etc.
Overall – this would not be a bad system if you could buy it for much less money- but for the price – you can get a much better system!

  158. Dawn on July 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Being a first time parent and RN, I researched everything that I registered for, including this travel system. I tested the weight and pushed it around in the store. I put this stroller together by myself when I was 8 months pregnant and found it was easy. The only difficulty was with the child’s footrest, which my husband was able to do in seconds.

My son was only 5 lbs 3 oz when we left the hospital, which required the hospital to do a carseat test with my son. The staff said that it was a very good seat.

My husband and I use this stoller daily and we both love it. My son is now 7 months old and he loves it as well. He particularly enjoys playing peek-a-boo through the little window. The basket is very roomy and generally easy to access. However, if you have the carseat clicked in, you really can’t access your diaper bag easily. My solution, just slip the diaper bag strap over the handle.

It is a bit heavy/bulky, but very durable. We worried about fitting it into the trunk of our Corolla, but had no difficulty whatsoever, though it does take up most of the trunk space.

    Pros on car seat
    1. Safe
    2. Washable cover ( in cold water)
    3. Premie inserts
    4. extra parts catalog comes with it. ( haven’t had to use it yet)
    5. you can hear the seat lock into place
    6. neutral colors
    Cons on car seat
    1. heavy
    2. cover must air dry
    3. not good for 2 door car
    4. seat gets jammed sometimes ( if this happens lock the handle in the carrying position and wile pulling the lever push the handle to the front of the vehicle. I found this works every time)
    Pros on stroller
    1. roomy
    2. strong
    3. 5 point harness
    4. shoulder pads for straps
    5. stands when folded
    Cons on stroller
    1. bulky
    2. doesn’t always unfold one handed
    3. cover doesn’t come off
    4. foot rest pops off easier than liked ( this is a plus when we are wedging it into the trunk, it won’t fit with the foot rest attached
    5. wasn’t easy to put together
Over all i like this product, I read all the reviews and made my own decision on it. I wanted something that will last. I will let you know when I have more kids if it was a good buy right now I only have 1. I strongly recommend going into the store and using there floor model to see how well it will work for you.

  160. Fit Mommy on July 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

Terrible! The carseat gets stuck in the base all of the time. A couple of times we almost had to take the baby out of the seat leaving it stuck in the base to get her out of the car.

The handle on the carseat gets stuck down often. One time we had to carry it around like a laundry basket with the baby in it because we weren’t near the car!

The stroller is hard to make roll, much less go straight. Don’t even think about pushing it with one hand straight. The basket underneath is very hard to access with baby in it.

People have commented about how heavy it is, it IS heavy but I don’t think many are light. The biggest thing for me is trying to pick it up to put it in my SUV without it popping open again.

I don’t have much problem with the fasteners in the carseat but they could definitely be more user friendly.

The shade cover on the carseat is virtually useless. It MIGHT cover baby’s forehead from sun and/or rain. If it’s in the stroller there is plenty of coverage from the stroller side but if I just put the carseat in a shopping cart, the shade is useless. I don’t think all this could be operator error.

On the upside, there are plenty of cupholders and key holders.

I love this travel system. It has a roomy basket for storage, it is comfortable for baby, and it looks great.

The only problem I have had with it is the plastic foot tray keeps popping off (which I do not see as a huge problme). Other than that, it is wonderful. I would reccommend this travel system to anyone!

i USED THIS STROLLER FOR MAYBE 4 MONTHS THE WHEELS ARE WORN, THE CAR SEAT IS VERY SMALL HAD TO BUY A NEW ONE WHEN MY SON HIT 15 LBS CAUSE THERE WAS NO ROOM. THE FRONT TRAY BROKE OFF AND IS VERY HARD TO PUSH AND HAS BEEN SINCE DAY 1. cAN’T EVEN USE IT ANYMORE.

we took several strollers of the display at a few stores! this stroller was my 1st choice. it looks very nice, is easy to close with one hand, drives smoothly. my husband insisted on purchasing this stroller. it has plenty of cup holders and storage for parents and 2 cup holders for baby.

However, after using it for 2 months. . . we really regret our purchase! this is the black sheep of all travel systems.

~the stroller just barely fits into our trunk of a saturn ion. the foot rest pops off everytime its put into the trunk.
~the shade on the carseat does not pull forward enough to cover the baby. especially in phoenix where there is sun 300 days a year.
~the carseat does not fit on carts.
~to put the carseat ontop of the stroller you have to lay the seat down. therefore you have to take the seat off to access the storage basket. . . frustrating!!

i would definately look into a different travel system!

  164. ladylovely on July 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

After doing much research on car seat safety and travel systems, I decided to give this system a try after seeing it in person–contrary to poorly rated reviews listed here. I am very pleased with my purchase and can not imagine a better travel system. With the car seat detached, and stroller folded, it weighs appx. 8-10 lbs, and yes is somewhat bulky: however, this is how ALL travel systems are! It should be viewed as a system–not just a stroller. I am 5′ tall and weigh 88lbs and can manage this weight and size just fine. I concider the “weight” and “bulkiness” a sign of it’s exceptional durability and sturdiness. Assembly was easy, manual very helpful, and I have had NO problems with anything getting stuck anywhere. I love that the hood on the stroller has a view opening to check on your child. NOTE: the car seat is an INFANT carseat, so, of course your child will outgrow the seat. I’d hate to put a full sized car seat ontop of a travel system! Overall I am very pleased–and love it’s security, comfy feel, and storage space–and cupholders!

This has been the single best thing we purchased. It is very secure when used as a carseat with the base. It’s easy to use and my daughter even likes to sit in it when she is not in the car. The infant carrier fits in all the restaurants we’ve been to, even slides in on a standard sized booth or locks into most high chairs. It locks onto most shopping carts too. The stroller part has tons of great features, including hidden compartments, a purse or diaper bag holder basket, drink holders for parents and kids, and best of all, the baby in the infant carrier faces you when you’re shopping. You can really open the stroller one handed. It’s a tad heavy to get out of the car, but for it’s size, very practical. It is very manueverable for such a large stroller, so much so that we opted not to buy one of the small umbrella strollers too. Smooth riding, and you can lay the baby flat to sleep if you take the infant carrier out. It also came with the snuzzler attachment for smaller babies and is very adjustable. Travel systems are a must and this is the best one I have ever seen.

I really liked the look of this travel system, the material is nice plus the basket is HUGE and it was easy to open and close. I thought big deal that it was heavy I would deal with it. Well let me tell you when you have to lift it in and out of your car or carry it up a few stairs into your house is when you will see how heavy this thing really is. I have owned it for twelve months. It was fine at first, I had no problems using it with the car seat at all. I thought it was great….that was until my daughter got older and started sitting in it without the car seat. The seat has hardly any padding in it. It’s like a board with a thin coat of material over it. My daughter leans to one side when she sits in it because she is so uncomfortable. I wish I would have noticed how hard the seat actually was before I bought it. I spent all of that money on this thing and all I use now is a light weight umbrella stroller that reclines because it is 10x more comfortable than this.

This is a great product, but it’s overpriced. […]

  169. Southern Mama on August 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Our daughter became too tall to continue to fit comfortably in the infant seat… so although it goes up to 20-22 lbs, she was done with it at 7 months. Also, the stroller is VERY bulky & heavy… big back wheels make it tough to fit in the trunk, carry around, go through doors…. the whole “one hand system” thing needs improvement… It’s by no means cheap, just not very convenient to use- especially when you’re by yourself. Wish we’d invested in the more-popular “Chicco” brand which will seat an infant up to 30 lbs…. we bought strollers by this name and they are great.

  170. Sarah on August 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is great! The only bad thing is that it is HUGE!! I can barely fit it into the trunk of my car.

  171. SOMD Mom on August 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have used this travel system since my son was born. It comes with its own insert so you do not need to buy the extra padding for a newborn. He is 11 months old and we are still using both the car seat & stroller. He was almost 10 lbs at birth so I thought he would outgrow the car seat quickly. He still sits very comfortably in the seat. The stroller is bulky, but I expected that since most full-size strollers are bulky. It has a nice big basket. I also love the color and pattern.
