  1. third time's a charm on June 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I just bought this travel system today. The carseat installs easily, handle seems comfortable. The canopies on both the stroller and carseat seem to get a little caught up on the handles. But overall, the features for the price you pay seem worth it. The moveable handle is nice. And I really like the 30 lb. weight limit on the carseat. Also, the strap adjust on the carseat is super easy. Huge storage basket too.

Very stylish for a great price, car seat has been rated #1 for safety. The stroller is light weight and easy to push as well as unfold. The car seat has a unique triangular handle for three different carrying positions. It’s wonderful the only negative for me personally is that the clasps or buckles are a little more difficult to snap in. My husband and I would recommend this product to anyone.

Now I haven’t used this Travel system yet, due in Aug, but so far I LOVE IT! I went looking for the baby trend flex lock car seat, the grey and black one, not loving the color- we are having a girl- but wanted to get the safest car seat available no matter what it looked like. Instead i found this travel system and thought “OOOO that’s cute.” I almost skipped it thinking it was going to cost double than just buying the car seat but to my surprise it was only an extra [$]. ???!!!!!???? I grabbed it. HECK! only an extra [$] and I get a stroller and a cuter pattern. The pattern is perfect for a boy or a girl, GOOD JOB BABY TREND! The stroller is actually pretty compact for being a travel system stroller and is SUPER easy to fold and unfold. I really like that it has a HUGE basket, 2 cup holders, a parent tray and baby tray and it still isn’t too bulky at all. fits in our Impreza just fine. I know some people don’t like the car seat because it is too “heavy” but I don’t feel it’s that heavy. Overall I’m sooooo glad I found this travel system in this pattern and for the price..YOU CAN’T BEAT IT!

From the day we bought this product and it didn’t come with all the parts, we should have returned it. It only gets worse, it had no directions for assembly and not all the wheel locks. Now that it is all put together it’s even more maddening, it does not unfold or close the natural way that you would think it would and every other time it gets stuck and doesn’t unfold at all unless two people do it, one to pull it apart and one person to hold the release button. When you have a screaming baby and this stroller will not work it is the most horrible feeling. Don’t waste your money!

  5. Angela on June 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have had great success with this stroller and infant seat. The only place it has not worked perfectly was in our sand drive way….but what stroller would? I absolutely love it, lots of great features.

We have not used the system yet our little man is not due for a few more weeks. I like the fact that you don’t have to take the carseat apart to move the straps up and down. The saftey is rated #1. It was very easy to set up it took my husband about 15 mins and he was done. We have looked for the last 4 months for a travel system and been though all the different brands. We think this one might last a little longer the weight limit is higher and there are not as many high tech stuff on it to break. There is two things I kinda don’t like about the system 1. the careseat handle is hard to get back up stright if you take it all the way down past the top of the seat 2. its also kinda hard for a women to fold the stoller due to the way you have to push the button and hold the other part. After a few times of doing the closeing it does the better. Over all we love the stoller and are excited to get our baby home in it!

  7. Mommy of 3 .... almost on June 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a very cute stroller carseat combo …. We are expecting our son in about 3 weeks so we have not used it yet. Set up was very easy (just attach the 2 front wheels) the carseat and stroller both have a very comfortable feel to them it is almost like suede. The carseat is not big and bulky like some other ones that we tested so that was a plus! I really like how the latch system works …. its not like the usual latches that I have seen where you have to hurt your fingers just to attach or detach the base from the car. Very affordable product worth every penny!

  8. JYNIFUR21 on June 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I haven’t got to use the stroller just yet; I have put it together (myself) which was VERY easy. I did stroll around a bit and the stroller was great. As a first time mom I felt it was very easy to fold up and to let down (once I figured out the whole latch on the side). I absolutely love the colors because it works great for a boy or a girl. The car seat has some wonderful features; the head positioning, adjusting the straps, suede-like material, HUGE under basket, etc. I LOVE IT.. I was searching for weeks to find a reasonable stroller in colors that I liked for both a girl or a boy… and I finally found it here!!! THANK YOU BABY TREND!!!!! YAY!

  9. new momma on June 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

this stroller was so easy to assemble, it took less than 5 minutes! I love the colors and all of the features. I can’t wait to use it!!

  10. PJmomma on June 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My mother and I sat this up in less than 30 mins. Love the colors and the material. The only complaint I have is that the canopy on the stoller makes a clicking sound when you pull it open and close. I’m going to call Babytrend to figure out if it’s supposed to do that. I also am not thrilled with the way it folds up but nonetheless the product is durable, comfortable, cute and safe! :]

  11. Carter's Mommy on July 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The carseat and stroller are both very hard to use for anyone who is taking your baby out and not use to the system. The stroller is my number one gripe! The wheels are getting ready to fall off for the second time! The company sent me new ones, but said that they really aren’t obligated to after 90 days of purchase. My husband figured out that the plastic part inside the wheel strips down after a few mos. of use. So why cant the company figure this out and fix the problem? My son was in the stroller when the wheel fell off in the store…THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED!

  12. usmc wife on July 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I just picked this up today — though, baby isn’t here yet for the true test — but, set up was a snap (really didn’t need directions). It seems to be very light weight and easy to maneuver.
The one step that gave me trouble was opening the stroller back up after I had closed it, but the directions just said the lever was red (it’s black).. and it solved any confusion.
Looking forward to using it soon!!
BTW – infant car seat is #1 rated right now.

  13. Susan on July 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Love it! The material is different and so soft! Online I thought it was green and black but when I went to the store was pleasently surprised to see the dark brown color. Easy to put together (my eight year old did it in 10 min). Love the adjustable height handle!!

  14. hpe2003 on July 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This product is ok, but I would not buy it again. The stroller is hard to open and close. It is a struggle everytime. The car seat is pretty good but the LATCH straps on the base of the seat are really short. They did not fit our 2004 Envoy. We made the mistake of buying this product early and when the baby finally came it was too late to take the product back.

  15. Jacquelyn3 on July 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I absolutly love the colors of the stroller and carseat and have had many people compliment on it. My biggest complaint is that the stroller is a little on the bulky side when folding and unfolding it, but I’m a short person so it could just be me. My son was a month early and I thought he fit great in the carseat when we brought him home.
I would recommend it to anyone. =)

  16. Jazzerly on July 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The carseat was easy to install and I like the many ways you can carry it. The canopy is great that it isn’t solid and can remain up when in the car.
The stroller is a bit heavy and akward to get in and out of the trunk (or even get outside). It is tough to coordinate yourself when opening and closing it. The little compartment is great for your keys if you go for a walk.
If I had to go back I would find a stroller that is more lightweight.

  17. Cant make up her mind! on July 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

OMG!!! FINALLY My husband and I registered for a car seat stroller combo, returned it (didnt like the colors) stood in stroller aisle for an HOUR trying to find one, finally called my dad who is a POLICE OFFICER for the city and also a car seat INSTALLER/INSTRUCTOR…he went through EVERY one in the store and this was the best and safest. He loved the alligator clip and the fact that you can use the car seat with either the anchors or seat belt. The shoulder straps are super easy to adjust and the base has 3 diff. positions depending on your backseat! The stroller is big and a lil bulky, but we can deal with that considering how safe the car seat is. Nothing else on the market comes close!

  18. DecemberMama on July 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller was so easy to put together! I love it, I love it!!! It’s so cute and different

  19. brina on July 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

its a little bit heavy but thats ok.
i would recommend it to everyone, good job baby trend.

  20. Becky on July 28th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a great neutral item if you don’t know the gender of your baby. I thought for the price is was well worth it. My only complaint is that i wish the shade on the car seat would stay back, it seems to move up when you adjust the handle to carry. But other than that, we are very happy with our purchase and the color and style is great!

  21. Collier's Mommy on July 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband and I have been looking for the perfect stroller and we finally found it! This stroller is super cute and super easy to use! Assembly was very easy too!

  22. Loving Aunt on July 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I gave this as a gift to my sister for her new baby. She is very pleased with it. My brother in law said he said he had no problems with assembling it and he was really happy with it. And it’s very stylish.

  23. Soon To Be Mamma to Baby Miles on August 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

When I sat down to put this stroller together, I was prepared for the worst. I’ve heard all of the horror stories about putting together baby items and I thought for sure that I was in for a long night of sweat and frustration. Boy was I wrong. It took me about 20 minutes to put the whole thing together and another 10 to get the hang of using the car seat. The best part is that this is one of the best looking strollers I have ever seen. Absolutely beautiful, and perfect for our bundle of boy. We’re not due for another few weeks so we haven’t used it yet, but we’ve taken it on a test run and it seems to work very well. The storage area underneath is incredibly roomy and the cup holders and covered compartment are awesome added convieniences. It is a little bulky, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.

  24. First time mommy on August 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I loved almost everything about this product. The stroller does not collapse completely so its very difficult to get in and out of the car. Other than that we love it!

  25. workin'mom on August 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I don’t have this specific travel system I have to orange oak version. It is a waste of money! I used my stroller about 20 times and the front wheels are warped, therefore they don’t spin properly. The parent tray organizer falls off all the time, and when the thing closes, it actually is bent or something because it scratches one of the supports. We weren’t hard on it, either. We used it primarily indoors at the mall, I think we took it to the zoo twice. I have an umbrella stroller from chicco that’s lighter and gets the brunt of our use. As for the car seat- the handle sticks. Half the time I can’t get the darn thing down to get my son out of it without banging his head. I contacted Baby Trend to find out about replacement parts– and was told that everything had to be repaired at their facility and since my warranty was expired,[…]. Do yourself a favor– buy a graco or Chicco! they’re much easier to steer and worth their weight in gold.

  26. heather on August 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The first stroller we bought had a broken handle so we had to return it. After one month of using the stroller, the back wheel broke off at my older sons baseball game. Now the stroller won’t fold up by pulling the release handle. You have to pull up the bars on the sides to get it to fold/unfold. If I had to do it again, I would’ve paid more for a different stroller instead of less for a really cute one.

  27. Baby Ryan on August 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love the look and functionality of this stroller. I made sure to get this travel system because my friend with a 9 month old had the previous Orange Oak model and she loved it. I love the updates like the fact that the handle now flips completely down to make it fit in the trunk easier. I have always loved the triangle handle design, it’s great for balancing on your forearm. The new colors are much more attractive than the Orange Oak in my opinion too. My brother gave us this as a gift and said he had fun putting it together.

  28. Mason's Mommy on August 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this because it was a good price, however I wish we would have spent more and went with Graco. My son is 7.5 months and we already can’t use the carseat because he has grown out of it (it is significantly small when compared to other infant carseats). We don’t have the mojito design but its the same as far as construction. The handle sticks pretty much everytime we try to move it which makes Mason hit his head when we try to pull him out. The stroller is ok but one of the front wheels is bent, and I don’t know how it happened as we never really use it on any rough terrain, only around malls and the like. It served it’s purpose but not very well. We will definitely be going with GRACO next time.

  29. NewDaddy79 on August 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with this travel system. It’s so easy to use you don’t even need to read the instructions! Great colors, they will go very well with all the camo and outdoorsy clothes we have for our lil one. It’s extremely durable and looks like it will stand up to all the torture that I’m sure we’ll put it through. I can’t understand paying $100+ dollars for anything else. The price is outstanding for it’s quality and it’s ease of use couldn’t be improved upon. It’s so nice we’re going to buy the matching play yard. I highly recommend this to anyone needing a good quality and affordable travel system.

  30. First Time mom on August 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This product has been nothing but a pain. From the day we got it the lock on the stroller gets stuck and you can’t fold down the travel system. This also happens on the car seat, nobody can ever get the over head bar to go down b/c the red buttons get stuck and you can’t let it down. We have had so many problems with all our baby trend stuff I would never recommend this brand to anybody

  31. New Mommy on August 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Wonderful product so far. Easy to assemble. Worth every penny! It looks really nice and I love the colors!

  32. Andrea on August 19th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Overall, does the job. Wish there was some more attention to details however. Would recommend the carseat but hesitate to recommend the stroller. Depends on what you’re looking for and what works for you.

    CARSEAT
Pros: I love the ease of adjusting the harness/headrest, love the handle (makes it easy to carry the carseat in multiple ways), carries up to 30 lbs
    Cons: A little heavy

    STROLLER
Pros: Like the color/design, ease of use (easy to adjust, open/close). Like the adjustable handle, plenty of cup holders and roomy storage underneath.
Cons: (1) The basket underneath the stroller sticks out at an awkward angle when in closed position, making it difficult to fit in small spaces. (2) The seat does NOT fully recline. (3) We’ve had some trouble with the front wheels – when we go over a bump or rough or textured pavement it appears they are going to pop off as they jiggle and then spin making it impossible to push. (4) Stroller harness is a little rough – not comfortable for a baby. (5) The hood/sun shade does not extend far enough to keep the sun out of little ones eyes.

  33. Anne on August 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

By the second time I used this stroller all of the wheels on the right side had warped. […] I ended up buying an Evenflo travel system, and I love it.

  34. Joey on August 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We settled for this stroller once we found out the one we originally had registered for was discontinued. I had seen the display at the store and I actually wasn’t too crazy about it at first, we chose this one because it was in our price range and it looked sturdier than the others. I am absolutely glad that we picked this one! The car seat is soft and comfy, which was one of my main concerns, and the style to it is pretty cool too. I also like that it had a metal frame and not a cheap plastic one like the more expensive brands. My 2.5 year old nephew even sat in for a test drive. Plus its super easy to assemble, my husband put it together within about 10 minutes, and not as heavy as other systems. Overall I think its pretty great system.

  35. disappointed on August 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

About third or fourth time I used the stroller, the back wheel fell off. The stroller will not fold up unless you manually move the buttons on the side and fold it yourself. It is a huge inconvenience. The basket is now tearing away from the stroller. We have only had the stroller six months. I emailed the manufacturing company and have never heard a response back. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
