Ok, so the stroller is a dream! It’s a bit bulky in the back of our Jeep Cherokee, so keep that in mind for smaller cars, but it handles great and I love that it reclines. My issue is witht the car seat. My son is 4monts 18 lbs and 27in. he’s not a chubby baby, but very tall. He no longer fits, and actually has been pretty much out of it for a month now. The handle is very hard to get up and down and though I’m not a small or weaker person this is still a HEAVY carseat, especially if you don’t have a small baby… I would HIGHLY reccomend the stroller and advise that you invest in a convertible car seat instead. This car seat is just not worth it. Baby also seems to be REALLY uncomfortable. I thought they were supposed to like the car? He is only ok in the car when it’s in fully motion, otherwise he’s straining to get out. Driving is so not a pleasure right now, and I don’t know about anybody else, but spending extra money right now… not really an option so having to buy another car seat so soon has put a real strain on a working class family. IF YOU PLAN TO BUY… PLAY WITH IT IN THE STORE, AND TRY OUT OTHERS FOR A LONG TIME!!! we thought we did that, turns out there are much better ones out there.

This is a great baby stroller. It handles so smooth and easy to turn and get in and out of the mass transit. It was easy to put together. We love it, and so does baby.

I’ve had this system for 9 months now and I can’t stand it any longer. I’m a jogger and I initially got this set because you can fit the carrier into the stroller when the baby is little.

The stroller is great – a little bulky – but fine.

The carrier on the other hand is just TERRIBLE. More than anything it seems uncomfortable. There is one piece of cloth that separates my baby’s back and bottom from hard plastic. It is not cushioned AT ALL. If she stays in it for any length of time (>15min) it leaves red marks on her back and she cries incessantly. She is also very small for her age and she has almost outgrown it. I’m not sure who said it would fit up to 40 pounds. We finally bought a Britax and she loves it.

  4. First Time Mom on June 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Overall I have really enjoyed both of these…my daughter is 6 months old & I’ve used this since I brought her home from the hospital.

Car Seat: For the most part I’ve enjoyed this…but I’ve had issues with the straps. Some how they get twisted & a big head ache. But then I figured out how to fix ’em & now it’s just something I deal with. But that’s my only complaint. My daughter LOVES it and falls a sleep in it every time she’s in it. It’s easy to use & carry. And it grows with the baby. It’s VERY easy to put in the car base & take out…and it’s easy to use in a car when you don’t have the base. (which I love!) And it goes in & out of the stroller very easy. Oh & washing it is very easy too.

Stroller: I LOVE this!! I don’t jog, but where I live the roads are dirt & that’s why I picked it out. And it’s waayy better then I had thought. It works great on the dirt & gravel. And it moves & turns so smoothly and it’s so easy to use. My husband is 6′ and it’s tall enough for him…he’s not all hunched over when pushing it. It folds up & opens up very easy…but it’s a little bulky….just because there is a lot to this system. My big complaint with this is that when the car seat is on it, you can’t get things in & out of the bottom area. (only when the car seat is on it) Other wise I’m VERY happy with this.

If you are an active person this system is a must for your first stroller. it is easily manueverable and stable with a quick release front wheel lock for jogging and even manuevering arount the open mall then just release the front wheel for manuevering in aisles or racks of clothes. Size is a little bulky but so are most Travel Systems. easily folds and unfolds. *only coomplaint is the flimsy locking latch that holds it closed, but it still remains folded for positioning just surprised at that design. Infant seat is also a good size and easily positioned listen for 4 quick clicks. convienent and comfortable triangle handle i like it even better than the z-shaped ones whic I ve had also. Lots of storage, all wheels are quick release and easily and securely locked. Move look of Leash (wrist strap) from base of stroller to handle bar for comfort. This is case with all joggers. Grat Product.

  6. Brandi the Multitasking Mom on June 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I adore this product, My husband and I are both tall and this is one of the few strollers that we can erect and still push. I also love it for walking the dog. The Front wheel makes driving it with one hand very easy and I’ve used it in all weather, including 2 inches of snow. My 4 month old has used it since he was home from the hospital, but we went to a convertable car seat at 3 months because he got to be too heavy for me use the carrier (he grew faster than expected) All in all, a very good product that I also purchased for a friend who is expecting

  7. just your average on-the-go mom on June 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This system has been great for us. The wheels on the stroller make sidewalks, hoses, or other obstructions in the road easy to maneuver over. My son seems comfortable in both the stroller and the carseat. When he was younger, he fell asleep almost every time we put him in his carseat to go somewhere. I do think the carseat is quite heavy, especially since I had a big baby, but I was still able to carry him until he was over 20 lbs. I like the triangular handle on the carrier, too…very convenient.

  8. Ava's Mom on June 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The car seat handle can be so difficult to squeeze in and move, even my husband has trouble with it. Other than that it is very easy to put in/out of the stroller and the car base.

The stroller works great for our walks, even on bumpy roads/trails. I did find it too big for my trunk so I got a snap and go for traveling to malls and appts.

  9. charlie's mom on June 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We opted for this jogging stroller system as opposed to having this and another stroller. Great idea! Stroller is so easy to use, takes bumps great, and is very easy to manuver. Great for active moms who want to get out of the house! The buckle on the car seat is tricky, and hard to use. That is the only downside.

  10. Mom of many on July 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Baby Trend considers the car seat base an accessory. It is not a good product. The fire dept stated it was a poorly made product, but after speaking with customer service, it is not their concern. They see it as an accessory. I will not recommend Baby Trend products ever!

  11. gardenmom on July 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

First I will say, the stroller is so easy to use. The carrier on the other hand has been nothing but a hassle. The handle is so difficult to change positions, the buttons don’t always want to release.
The five point harness is pratically impossible to use. The release button is hard to push and trying to line up the pieces while baby is in the seat is much different than without, so beware if you try it in the store without baby. It’s so much harder to use when there is a baby in the seat. Plus, the harness pieces twist around on the strap and I have had to spend twenty minutes untwisting as we are trying to get out the door. I wish I would have got something different, but my husband wanted the jogging stroller.

  12. KPod Momma on July 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I got the previous version of this stroller, but it hasn’t changed a bit except for color. The seat is very very heavy. My son is only 5 months and I can’t carry him in it any more. My husband is a body builder and he can barely do it anymore.
The stroller is great though. Easily stored in my trunk (i have a smaller car). Also, a very smooth ride; even over grass, gravel, and even sand. There is also a nice amount of room for a diaper bag, toys, drinks, and even a compartment where i put my cell phone and keys. I think the good outweighs the bad in many cases.
One bad thing that you need to know is that the base is not sold separately. If you need a base for a second car, you cannot get one anywhere–at least I have not been able to. I even called the manufacturer and they couldn’t get me one. Kind of a bummer.

  13. active mom! on July 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The car seat is a little heavy but…its 9 pounds….most are atleast 7 or 8 anyways…they are all heavy haha….you can buy an extra base…babies r us has them the ez loc base or the flex loc the both snap in safely. wd40 makes the handles push in like a breeze and the stroller turns and manuevers great….to the previous comments..the infant car seat has never been capable of holding up to 40 pounds…it holds up to 22 and i believe 28 inches long its not supposed to hold up to anymore because it is not a convertible car seat it is only rear facing and at 1 year and 20 lbs you turn them forward facing anyways…baby trend is a nice product and the triangle handle makes carrying so easy because you can hold them the original way or other positions to make it easier :)…the stroller holds up to 50 lbs and is great it even has a compartment for keys, cell phone, whatever you like…its great!

  14. Excited Mom To Be on July 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is by far the best travel system on the shelves at the store! I had looked online and read all the reviews and knew to take them down and play with them to see how well they all worked and let me tell you, this thing glides like a Cadillac! It is far better built than any of the others, the triangular handle makes carrying the carrier easy from any angle, everything snaps tightly and is easy to maneuver and for a jogger it DOES have the locking swivel front wheel. I live in a rural area and will be able to walk with my baby on our dirt road with each because of the big tires (it comes with an air pump but i doubt i will need it). i was able to put it together by myself (8 months prego) in about 20 minutes, its light enought to load into my tall SUV-did i mention the cupholders? this thing just rocks-go to the store, play with it first, and when you take down the other plastic wheeled strollers you will see what i mean, they wobble back and forth and just dont feel as well made. Spring for the MP3 player connection (on certain models) its the only thing i didn’t get and wished i would have!

  15. CAmom on July 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love, love, love this travel system. The stroller/car seat combo is convenient and extremely useful. Although kind of heavy and bulky, it is a multipurpose stroller, great in the mall and great for jogging around the neighborhood. I have had no troubles with it and it is constructed very well. I think it will last forever!

  16. Sarah on July 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

My primary complaint is with the baby seat. It is VERY heavy. Anyone who isn’t in good shape would have a really hard time carrying this far unless your baby is super light.

The other BIG problem is the straps. Instead of a buckle system-the crotch strap is more like a puzzle piece. So, you can’t buckle your child in until you have both pieces together. This is horrible design. If your child is squirming and screaming (and, he will!) it is next to impossible to get him in it.

Another problem is this does not go up to a high weight. So if you have a big baby, you may be buying a new seat within 5 or 6 mo. My 6mo old no longer fits in this seat. He has outgrown height and weight. I’d look for a baby seat that goes up to at least 30 lb.

The stroller component of this system is good. After 6 mo. of daily use, the rubbler handle bar grips are tearing & that is disappointing. Seems like it should hold up better. But for walks, curbs, trails, etc., this stroller is a good option.

I do not recommend this product.

  17. Laura - Baby boy due in Sept 08 on July 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Ok, so I havent used the travel system yet, so I know some of you may be annoyed that this is premature rating…but I wanted to talk about the handle bar. It is SOOOO different than all the other options out there – and with wrist issues, the ergonomics of the handle was very important to my husband. He actually insisted that we get this because of the handle design (its a triangle). Also, the color (grey/green) is very nice looking and I had no issues operating it to fold down/put back together. It was a bit heavy, but if you think about it, this makes it that much more sturdy for your bundle of joy!

  18. Unhappy joggers on July 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The front wheel wobbles when in the locked position, even when walking. Because of the shaking we were not able to jog with the stroller. This is a safety issue. […]We sent the stroller back to Baby Trend to be fixed, per the manager’s request. It was returned to us in worse condition. It will not lock at all, that means no jogging! Since it’s return to us, Baby Trend has not responded to our emails. We DO NOT recommend this stroller system to anyone, if fact we are actively discouraging its use!

  19. Abby's Hot Mama on July 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is a great product. I’m not sure why other reviewers complained the carseat was too heavy because I think it’s very light. This glides wonderfully and the basket below is huge and sturdy (more so than my Perego). It turns great and has a very clear peek-a-boo window on the shade so I can keep an eye on my little one when the shade is up. The only reason I would not give this 5 stars is because it is a little annoying to have to connect the carseat base to the car; but once you figure out how to do it, it’s easier the next time. Overall, a great product that I’ll be using all the time.

  20. Mandee on July 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Have used it for 14 months and have loved every second! I don’t get why people say the car seat is so heavy. EVERY car seat out there is going to be a bit bulky and heavy and I did not think there was any difference in this one compared to any other one on the market! I loved the handle, it made it much easier to carry than the others. I had no problem with the straps, I liked that it pieced together because I knew it would hold up. I also took my carseat to the fire house to get it installed and they thought it was a great seat- I don’t know what that other customer was talking about.

The stroller is wonderful. While I do admit that it will shake a little when jogging without the wheel locked, when it is locked, I have no problems and I only lock it when I go jogging. I take this stroller to the mall, outside in the dirt, and on the beach and have found no where it can’t go. It is also SUPER easy to push and turn. I took back other strollers because they needed two hands, this one is so easy. It also folds down really easily and the wheels come off for better storage, if necessary!

I love this one and recommend it to everyone out there!

  21. Mommy in a house of boys on July 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I searched and searched, reading review after review, “test driving” every stroller in the store, and finally thought I found the perfect stroller combo for us. My husband and I purchased this travel system a week before our third boy was born. Three boys,8,7, and newborn – four with hubby. I need a stroller/carseat that can withstand all of that. Plus, I wanted one that looked somewhat nice too. I found with this one:Pros carseat-The baby trend handles for the carseats are absolutely wonderful. You can pick it up from any angle, it feels nice in your hand, and they weigh less then the gracos.-The inside material is a soft suede-like material, as opposed to most others that have that ‘easy to clean but not so comfy’ material.-The release button is on the ‘foot-end’ of the carseat, rather than behind the ‘head-end’. You would be amazed as to how much easier this is to use.-The five point harness secures baby great, and is easy to tighten and loosen.Cons carseat:-The included base is not the adjustable base, and makes it somewhat akward positioning for a newborn. (The adjustable base is available for purchase.)-The release buttons to raise and lower the handle are VERY hard to push. I had to have hubby do this part for the first week or so.-The straps do not come with strap covers to make baby more comfy.Stoller Pros:-The baby trend jogging stollers were the easiest to maneuver, able to do so with only one finger.-The tires make it so you can ‘drive’ over any terain, including dirt and gravel, with ease.-Though it appears larger than other strollers, we compared it to a standard graco, and were very surprised to find they were the same size, even when folded down. We did this several times because it just looks bigger, but it took up the same amount of room lengthwise. (Hightwise, it was just a bit larger when folded.)Stoller Cons:-This took my hubby, my mother, and myself almost 2 hours to put together. This was after I tried myself and quit after a half hour in hormonal tears because I couldn’t get past step one. -The release button to collapse the stroller is not made for little hands and requires 2 hands for the 1 hand release. Like the buttons on the carseat handle, this is hard to use also.We weighed out the benefits and problems and decided to purchase, however…-The main problem with the whole system, and the reason I am returning mine to the store, is that there IS A DEFECT WITH THIS MODEL. The sliding mechanism on the right side, that allows for collapse and reopening of the stroller, sticks. Hence the reason it took so long for us to figure out how to put it together – we couldn’t get it open. We didn’t figure out what the problem was with opening and closing the stroller until the 4th or 5th time we used it. Hubby took it back to the one of the Babies R Us stores(we have 2), and we were informed that their floor model has the same problem. Thinking back now, the floor model we looked at in the other store before purchase had problems opening and closing too, but we were told by the salesperson that they stick when new, and it will work itself out.Baby trend does make a similiar Stoller and car seat in black/grey, however, they have to be purchased seperately. They make a wonderful jogging stroller in brown/green, but they do not make a matching car seat. These strollers have a different, 2 handed closure mechanism that is much more effective. We loved the brown/green stroller, and are just settling for the black/grey car seat that doesn’t entirely match (though they do fit together). My advice to you is that if you can, have the store put the stroller together for you to make sure it works before purchase. […] Good Luck on your search!

  22. nolasmilee on July 31st, 2008 at 12:00 am

Here in New Orleans we have very bumpy streets and sidewalks – parts of the city are cobble stone and brick, so we bought this stroller to give our little one a smoother ride.

I love this stroller! I can navigate it, as well as release it one handed. My husband is very tall, and this stroller is also comfortable for him to use. I love the handle on the carseat, and how the carseat doubles easily as a carrier. The ride is smooth for baby, and operation is easy. The stroler handle has non slip grips which is awsome for someone with cronically sweaty palms. The cargo storage comes in handy when mall shopping. The 360 degree swivel front tire make tight turns easy. I like the way the shade covers are on both sides to block sun from either direction. All in All I don’t think there is a better product out there – and believe me I shopped for months!

The lock to hold the stroller in the closed position could be better – but that is minor. It is a little heavy, but that is because it’s built durable. I mail ordered mine and it did not come with the set up instructions or the screws to hold the childs foot rest in place. Fortunately using some common sence the stroller still went together easily, and the screws are a pretty standard size so I just used some we already had in the house.

    1) Carseat Handle Sticks – the smallest spritz of WD/40 or even cooking oil on the mecanism that locks the handle in place will make the release smooth. Worked for me!

    2) Stroller Pulls – use a bike tire guage to make sure the tire pressure is the same on both sides. Worked for me!

    3) Front Wheel Wobbles – Although I have not had this problem, a friend who works on bikes said they may have the tire on backwards.

    4) Release Lock Sticks – again WD/40 on the locking mecanism. Mecanism found when in the upright folded position

I highly recomend this system! With the simple fixes listed above the system works seamlessly!

  23. CarolinaMom on August 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have used this system for the past 8 months since my son was born, and am now expecting again. The stroller is great – no issues with it. The carseat, however, leaves much to be desired. I didn’t dislike this seat so much until I compared it with my friend’s Graco Metrolite. I didn’t research the WEIGHT of carseats when shopping, and now wish I had – it makes a huge difference when you lug around a growing baby. The Babytrend seat is extremely heavy, the handle sticks terribly (and while WD-40 may work, I prefer a seat that requires no tweaking to work properly), and finally, the seat does not secure easily into the base (you have to rock it back and forth to make sure it’s really in there). In contrast, the handle on the Graco Metrolite adjusts without effort, and you can almost drop the carseat into the base and it will lock into place. My best piece of advice for first time carseat shoppers is to: check for how easily the handle adjusts from carrier to carseat mode, check how easily the seat fastens to the base, and lastly, the lighter the better. Nevertheless, I am now in search of a lighter, more user friendly seat. I won’t have time for all the difficulties of the Babytrend car seat with a newborn and a 14 month old.

  24. Kerstin on August 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Our son is 13 1/2 months old now. Because of his low weight (little under 21 pounds) he is still able to sit in the car seat.
Stroller: I chose this stroller because we are living on dirt roads and normal stroller wheels do not work well on them. It has been easy and smooth to use. I was eight months pregnant when I put it together and I had no problems at all, and got it done fast. The fold-up is easy. Only that red lever that is supposed to keep the bars together is not really working well, it often releases itself when moving the fold-together stroller out of the car, for example.
I don’t know why the recommende age for the stroller is 12-24 months. I think, as soon as the baby can sit well it works great. Our son just loved it, always. We also have an umbrella stroller for short trips to the mall, f.e., and in that one he often fusses.
Car seat: Sure it is heavy, like any other car seat out there, too. But carrying it on the arm/ellbow instead of in the hand is still possible: and I weight only 110 pounds. The release buttons are not easy to use in the beginning. It takes a while until they are more used and smoother to push in. Same with the release handle to release the seat from the base. But we never considered it to be a bad product just because of these little cons. Our son never seemed to feel uncomfortable in the seat (someone else mentioned it would be to hard on baby’s back and bum) – and James is a skinny guy who never had baby fat to cushion him. We traveled a lot with the car seat, so he often was sitting for long, long stretches in the seat.
Oh, and by the way, the handle is very comfortable to hold.
Car seat base: We needed a second one for our other car and I just went into BabiesRUs and got it. It was around 40 Dollars. With that one, by the way, releasing the seat from the base is easier. The first times it takes a while to get used to setting up the base in the car, connecting it with the seat belts so that it doesn’t have movement anymore. But after doing it 3, 4 times it’s no big deal anymore.
So, to come to an end:
We highly recommend it for people who need a stroller which works on different terrains.

  25. j.birk on August 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

When I first saw this travel system I fell in love with the sporty look and the jogger stroller combo concept. The jogger stroller seems great, but after much consideration and testing of other brands at Babies “R” Us I couldn’t force myself to buy this travel system no matter how bad I wanted it and it was all for one reason: The handle on the car seat!

If you are already a parent you know how often you put the handle up and down with an infant car seat. The handle buttons on this car seat are hard to squeeze, you have to have it just right for the handle to budge and the buttons stick, especially trying to get it to go down. It is doable and I’m sure WD-40 may help some but I didn’t want to mess with that. I can think of many times when you are in a hurry (putting car seat in car while raining!)and other reasons you don’t want to have to monkey with getting the handle to go up and down.

I highly recommend testing a Graco brand or other brand of car seat handle and notice the pure ease of maneuvering it from any angle compared to using this car seat handle and unfortunately other Baby Trend car seats.

After much testing and consideration I went with the Graco Stylus Travel System at the same price as this travel system and I love it, especially the handle buttons! Hopefully Baby Trend will work on improving the button mechanism on their future car seat handles.

Read the reviews and was iffy about the stroller, hey it’s the only combo jogging stroller at an affordable price. Absolutely loving it! Just had a minor problems at first but nothings perfect and I was able to deal with them. Tires are great, it’s sturdy and light. I am able to take my son on my daily 3 mile jog in the dirt. We go off roading all the time, through mud and grass. We are always receiving compliments on the rims πŸ™‚

I really enjoy this product as a first parent. You really don’t have to spend alot to get more than you ask for. If you read the instructions everything on this stroller, carrier combo should be great.

  28. Isaiah's mom on August 23rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Consumer Reports highly recommended a Baby Trend car seat. I was given this one as a gift. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the one that was tested. The straps are easy to adjust and my son seems comfortable in it, but the handle won’t budge! The store said they’re on their third display model because of similar handle issues and the wheel falls off of the stroller. Another issue that I had with it is that it sits almost straight up in my car and my son’s head always falls forward. Someone always has to sit with him in the back seat.

  29. Runner Mom on August 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I purchased this system because I didn’t want 500 strollers (travel system, jogging stroller, and umbrella stroller.)So far I’ve loved it! I’ve recommended it to alot of people. I love that the carrier clicks into the stroller. The stroller is really easy to manuver. The front wheel locks when you want to run and swivels when you are walking. We’ve taken the stroller everywhere, the airplane, the mall, walks and runs. We love it. It folds down to a great size. It’s very user friendly. I’m so sold on the stroller. I’m already looking at Baby Trend’s double jogging strollers
The carrier is not the best. I liked that the carrier was narrow. The only thing I don’t like about the carrier is the handle is hard to click back and forth. I needed two hands to push one button on one side. It get’s annoying because you are always moving the handle back and forth. If baby trend can fix that I would buy 10 more!

  30. Amanda on August 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller and seat. I take it jogging, to parks for walks on rough ground, and to the mall. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the car seat is a bit heavy compared to other car seats.

  31. Jameel on September 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have had two of these both of them have had a broken handle on the car seat. The system will not release from the base.

  32. Robin, superbusy on September 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

If you have a newborn and use the seat in the stroller, they sit so upright that their head will go forward. The handles are superhard to push back and it is not getting better with use, the ultrasuede makes babys back very hot! It is the only reasonable priced jogging stroller though.

This is the best stroller ever. I was a little worried about the comfort of the car seat, but my little one doesn’t seem to mind. Plus we figured they are only in car seat for 1 year and the stroller will last up to 5 years.
It handles and folds up easily. We especially love that the baby sits up nice and high in it. When we see other strollers they look so low to the ground and tiny in comparison.

  34. Krystal on September 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I recieved the baby trend expedition travel system as a gift from my in-laws. It was the one I had picked out and if i would have known how horrible the carseat was, I would tell them not to waste thier money. the carseat is way to narrow and my daughter just turned 5 months and doesnt fit in it anymore. That and the handle was very hard to put down due to it always sticking. the stroller i love beside the occassional shutter of the front wheel. but as far as the carseat goes, dont get it because you’ll have to buy a new one in 5 months. you are better off buying a convertible carseat right from day one.

  35. Tyler on September 8th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We bought the travel system and had no problems with the car seat. The jogger, however, is another story. You can’t JOG at all! Let alone, WALK beacause the front tire wobbles and spins out of control! It shakes the whole thing like crazy and then will come to a screeching halt as the tire turns itself completely sideways!![…] I was forced to call customer service at Baby Trend and was treated like a pile of garbage.I was VERY friendly while I was explaining my problem and was hurried through that. Then the girl on the other end insructs me to disasemble the front end and make sure that the housing bolt is tight and the bearings are fine. I asked her to hold on and she said, “I’ve got other things to do. I’m not going to sit here and wait for you. Just call back when you’re done”I called back and explained that I had done what she asked and that everything was nice and tight. She said, you took it apart and looked at EVERYTHING?” I said yes and she said,”ok then I guess you’ll have no problem telling me how many barings, spacers and washers there are. You know, since you took it all apart”I was blown away!! I kept my cool as I explained each item only for her to say, “well based on the manufacturing date (one year ago)we can’t help you unless you ship it to us, pay any cost for evaluation and repairs and then pay to ship it back.”She had me take the whole thing apart and then refused to help me troubleshoot it.Even if I manage to fix this myself, It is bulky and hard to put in anything other than our truck.Baby Trend is horrible and I DO NOT suggest buying their products.

  36. Outdoor Mom on September 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love the narrow, smaller size of the car seat; with a newborn it’s nice to see them snug. My son is now 3 months old and still fits fine with room to grow. I LOVE the look and functionality of the stroller. For someone who is always outdoors, it’s the best.

My only complaints, like most people, is that the carseat handle is very hard to move, and likewise, the locking/unlocking mechinism for folding the stroller tends to jam as well. If
Baby Trends would fix their latches, they’d have an unbeatable product!

  37. New Mom on September 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My baby hasn’t arrived yet, but we are happy with this system so far because it is cute and the stroller was easy to set up. Also, we love that it has four cup holders and a little window to look in on baby when the sunshade is down. Also, my sister-in-law has this system and says she really likes it.

  38. JacMom on September 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is our 3rd baby. We waited 8 years between the last one and this one. So many things had changed, we read the reviews and registered for this stroller. We got it and it looks great. Our baby was born 3 weeks ago. The car seat part is great, the handle is a little hard to get up and down. The stroller however is terrible. It’s to big and I can never get it opened and closed. I actually had to put it in my SUV open the other day because I spent 30 minutes at the mall trying to get it closed. Also, the front wheel is very stiff and is hard to move around. I’m actually looking to buy a new stroller because I just can’t use this one.

  39. Ann on the go on September 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I use this stoller for everything. My husband and I use it on the town walking trail which is NOT paved and partly goes through the woods…and our baby falls alseep! It is very easy to move…better than the bulky stroller I had for our first son. We have had this stoller since he was born. We used the car seat portion in the stroller until he was six months old…great to go from car to stoller. The cup holder and little storage area on the top are wonderful to put your drinks/cell phone/keys…ect…loved it so much we recommended it, and my brother just purchased it for his new baby!

  40. Newbie Mom on September 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is my first baby so I had no clue about buying anything. I recieved this from my mother at my baby shower and I love it! The colors are perfect for boy or girl and the jogger compacts small enough to fit in my tiny trunk. All in all my husband and I are extremely happy with this product.

  41. the stay at home auntie on September 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I am a stay at home mom who babysits for my sister. She got this stroller for her baby shower and we love it! I take the kids to Red Rock national park at least twice a month and this stroller is able to go all over the place. It’s also great at the park. The carseat is wonderful…..the handles were a little stiff at first but a little WD-40 and it hasn’t been a problem since. It also folds up so easily I am in and out in seconds.

  42. Sandy on September 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Hard to release, heavy, front wheel very big

  43. Squirmy's mudder on September 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We use this stroller everywhere and it’s great. We are always on the go. It is easy to fold, not too heavy, and maneuvers great! We do a lot of outdoor activities, and this stroller system has been able to handle any terrain (even a hiking trail). Our son loves being in it. The string for the storage pocket did break the first time we used it, but no biggie. The car seat base was easy to install, and we felt that our son was very safe. The only other issue we had was that the carrier handle was stiff and hard to adjust, but a few sprays of WD-40 fixed that. This system has worked so well for us, my sister is going to buy one for her new baby.

  44. December Baby on September 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

This travel combo is one of the best. @ my local Babies R Us it is the TOP SELLER! We bought this yesterday, easy/simple/basic set up, couldn’t be any easier I’m 7 months pregnant and did it myself. I will say that before you put the front bumper on test the front tire if it is stiff you will need to loosen that nut a tad bit at a time until it moves freely in circles, If it wobbles you will need to tighten the nut a tad bit at a time until the tire moves around smoothly and your satisfied. Then screw the bumper on & you’re ready to go. My SO played with the stroller in the street and grass and he loves it.

  45. joshs mommy on September 23rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

When I got this I didnt like the 1 front wheel thing. but it is awesome i love it. so convienient and easy to fold up and store away. i think this is def a steal. love this stroller and carseat

  46. Nicole mother of baby boy on September 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I like to run and I thought it would be great to jog with child in tow. wrong. When jogging the front wheel has to stay locked. This makes it VERY difficult to make turns easily, compare it to a semi making a right turn. not the easiest thing for a 5 foot 110lb gal as myself. second, a pump is included in the bottom of the basket so that you always have it with you. great. plan on always using it. wheels are always short on air. also it is larger than normal stroller just because of the bike tire size wheels. Third, it is hard to open the stroller and click the car seat bar back. it is constantly “sticking”. very annoying. I liked the color. That is all I can think of good. I would love to take it back and as my sister in law said just buy a regular stroller that she loves and can’t live without.

  47. jenny mama on September 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Bottom line: This is a great stroller if you’re planning on using it around your neighborhood (and leaving it on the porch when not in use). It is far to heavy and bulky for travel. Tip: Try fitting this in your trunk BEFORE you purchase! PRO:The ride is smooth and steering is a breeze. The system seems very well constructed and durable. CONS: I found it to be very heavy and hard to fold and unfold. The most frustrating aspect of this stroller is that it is so bulky that it doesn’t fit into the trunk of my car. I have to put it in the back seat, and then my other child cannot go along. When I did bring it out shopping it was too large for most mall stores and we ended up taking turns waiting outside of the stores.

  48. Aiden's mom on September 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After having to return a different travel system 4 times I couldn’t be happier with this one. The car seat is wonderful and the stroller works great for walks around town. The only complaint that I have is that it is sometimes hard to open or close the stroller because the latch sticks.

  49. Isabella's Mom on September 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My husband and I researched infant car seats and Baby Trend is one of the top brands. I installed the base in my 2007 Saturn Outlook myself and then went to my local car seat inspection station. I found the instalation to be very easy. Upon insepction I was pleased to find out that I had installed it correctly AND that it was very safe and stable. I would recomend this to anyone.
I like the stroller. It was a little cumbersome to put togeather myself at 9 months pregnant but easy with a second set of hands. The stroller is a little heavy but it is a jogger. Collapses easliy.
The car seat is good up to 22 lbs and stroller is useable into todlerhood.

  50. Addybear's mommy on September 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I run about 3x a week up to 3-4 miles with this since she was about 1 month old. I have not had any issues at all. I run on sidewalks and street and use the front wheel in a locked position or it shakes. It’s a great stroller and has really held up under these conditions. She is still in the carseat at 4 months old so no complaints there except that the handle is hard to push up and down on the carseat. Overall I am very pleased with this.

  51. Summer's Mommy on October 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Saw this in the store and it matched my decor. Turned out to be a great system. The stroller is a bit heavy and took some getting use to manuvering since it’s not the traditional 4 wheel stroller, but great for walking up and down hills. I wish the car seat laid back more instead of sitting up so much, but still love it. My daughter doesn’t like to be strapped down so working on getting her use to it. My husband had no problems putting everything together. Great buy! Would definitely recommend it.

  52. Michelle on October 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

There was nothing wrong with the infant seat but it was nothing special. The stoller is good for jogging or long walks but is very bulky and heavy for everyday use. The cup holder area and footrest for my son has gotten banged up, scrached and bent from everyday use. Overall the stroller has served it’s purpose but I would not buy it again given the choice.

  53. Avid exerciser on October 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

We were really excited about the travel system and I read many reviews when we decided on Baby Trend. Unfortunately, I have had the stroller for 4 months and the only relief I have is I can lock the front wheel. If the wheel is unlocked, it shakes horribly (it has fallen off twice). The collapsing latch is difficult to pull, and becomes increasingly difficult as time passes. The latch that holds the stroller together is made of cheap plastic and has never worked. Finally, the infant car seat handle is difficult to fold up and down. We have resorted to leaving it down the entire time, which is nice for when my son is sleeping, but it’s difficult to carry. The entire thing is bulky and I would not recommend this product to anyone.

  54. runfoxusa on October 23rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

The travel system running stroller is a great concept. I was excited to find this product, but am disappointed with the quality. It was very easy to put together; I did it myself. I had the fire department install the carseat base securely into my car, and my daughter fit comfortably in the seat. The buttons to lower and raise the handle on the carseat are difficult to maneuver, but not enough to make me want to return the product. My dissapointment comes with the stroller itself. Anything faster than a slow walk requires the front wheel to be locked, which makes it very hard to turn. And after only having the stroller for 2 months, I cannot squeeze the handle to fold the stroller. My husband can do it with vigorous shaking and after multiple tries. It is not worth the frustration, or the [$].

  55. Jesse the OCD Dad on October 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Though we didn’t register for this model, a friend thought that it would be a better fit for our “active” lifestyle. At first, we were excited about the jogger-style and the opportunity to go running and “off-roading” with this model.

However, after just a few short days, we realized that this model was not at all what we hoped for. But first, the positives:

    – The stroller was easy to setup (didn’t take too long and the instructions were clear and concise).
    – The build-quality is solid. This may be more of a “guy-thing”, but this stroller is solid. The tires are made of REAL tire-rubber and the frame feels solid and well-constructed.
    – The infant car-seat is easy to remove from the stroller. Might sound simple, but I’ve seen some models that really require some focus to remove. This model was fairly simple.

    Now, the negatives:
    – The three-wheel system makes this stroller nearly impossible to steer. We noticed this soon after assembling the stroller. We did some trial runs and each time, the stroller’s front wheel would not turn right far enough to make an easy turn. Instead, it would skid across the ground. We followed the instructions on loosening the front wheel nut, but that only made the stroller wobbly/unstable when we moved it at any speed. We tried for several weeks to try and find the “sweet” spot with this stroller, but no matter what we did, the stroller was either unstable at the front wheel or it would simply not turn. NOTE: For those who only want to use this as a jogging stroller, it works pretty well. You can lock the front wheel and, with the real tire rubber wheels, it makes for a comfortable ride for your baby while you jog. For daily use, however, this stroller is simply too unwieldy to use at the market/shopping/moving around, etc.
    – This stroller is HEAVY and due to the larger real tire rubber wheels, does not collapse very well.
    – The infant car-seat handle does not collapse easily. There are two push-in buttons on either side and it simply takes too much effort to collapse the handle. It’s not a major issue…but after working with the car-seat for a few weeks, it became a REAL annoyance.
    – The infant car-seat harness (for locking in your newborn) is also very annoying. Most models I’ve seen have two separate prongs that connect into buckle separately. This model requires you to stack the two prongs before inserting into the buckle. It’s workable when your baby is 8 lbs. But at 15 lbs, it’s a real annoyance.

Though we liked the overall design of the stroller, there were just too many annoyances that were stacked up against it. Though it will get you from point A to point B safely, you’ll be annoyed through the journey.

  56. outdoorsy walker mom on October 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Assembly was pretty easy…but using it has been challenge in patience. The front swivel wheel doesnt swivel properly so sometimes it gets stuck at an angle when you are trying to go striaght and it end up pulling you either left or right.Collapsing the stroller requires a strong hand and lifting it requires 2 strong hands. The car seat wasnt designed properly or rather the angle at which is connects ontop of the stroller wasnt calculated properly cause my baby looks like she is sitting too upright.on good thing is the basket underneath is pretty spacious and Im able to stuff my grocceries under there.I wouldnt recommend this to a friend or anyone else for that matter. My daughter is 3months old and Im shopping around for another stroller that less bulky and swivels properly.

  57. Working DC Mommy on October 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

    – Pros: Durable, steady and secure. Very smooth navigation. Really like it.
    – Cons: heavy and (for me) takes a bit of arm muscle to expand the stroller

  58. new mom on October 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The headaches started with the assembly. The front wheel is difficult to put on the stroller and has never worked the way it should. I can usually turn to the right fairly easily, but I still haven’t been able to make a left turn without the front wheel skidding perpendicular to the direction I’m trying to turn. The carseat is also a bit difficult to buckle– my infant screams everytime I try to buckle her in. Even though I’ve been trying to use this item for the last few weeks, I”m bringing it all back to the store today and beg for a merch. credit!!

  59. T on October 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The only nice thing about this seat and stroller is the color.
The seat is very difficult to buckle and the handle is very difficult to adjust. As for the stroller – the folding unfolding is not one handed as it says. Half the time it takes about five or six tries to get it open and shut. The easy squeeze handle and lock is very difficult and seems to stick. I would not recommend this product to anyone!!

  60. Runner Mom on November 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

If you are a runner, do not buy this stroller. It is heavy and not very user friendly. The front wheel tightens and must be rotated every so often so you can actually steer it again. If you don’t rotate it, you can’t steer it, period. The only nice feature is the little compartment for your keys. Please listen to me moms, don’t buy this stroller. I am not a crazy over-the-top mom who complains about things…I’m a normal working mother who likes when things work the way God intended. This stroller does not work well at all.

Also- it is very hard to fold up when you are done. Imagine you are in the parking lot at the mall…there you are fighting with your stroller while baby is crying in back seat…this does not make a first time mom feel good. πŸ™‚

The pros- The car seat is great! Secure, durable, great handle, and comfy for baby.

  61. T's Mom on November 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

The stroller moves very nicely. It is very smooth and easy to navigate. There is enough storage to keep all of those shopping bags and diaper bag on it. I was concerened about this at first. I wish the carseat was more comfy for the lil guy though. It is pretty hard. My biggest complaint about it is that the material doesn’t breath so he is constantly sweaty when we take him out. Even on cool days if he falls asleep in the carseat his back is all sweaty when we take him out. Overall we are happy with it, especially the stroller part.

  62. LV Mom on November 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I hate this stroller & car seat. The car seat handle is extremely difficult to put down & there isn’t very much padding on the seat for the baby. The stroller wobbles when you walk and the tire swivels around then the stroller won’t turn w/o adjustment. It is also very hard to collapse to put away. I am returning this stroller and will not buy Baby Trend again!

  63. J.D.'s mom on November 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

It was very hard to control the front weel. And there were times it got stock and I was not able to open the stroller. I had to exchange it.

  64. New mom on November 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We were very excited about this stroller system, as it seemed to have everything we were looking for. We loved the triangular hold on the handle of the car seat as it was easy and comfortable to hold, and like the all-terrain tires as we thought the stroller would be easy to use in more types of weather and terrain in Maine (grass, trails, snow, etc.). Unfortunately, as soon as we received the stroller, we were disappointed. The car seat handle was extremely difficult for both me and my husband to move, and we were disappointed with the overall quality of the system. We decided to return it before even setting up the stroller, so I can’t fairly comment on the stroller[…] We decided to buy a Chicco car seat and stroller instead, and are so relieved that we did! This is a great concept, but we wish it were better quality.

  65. busy busy mom on November 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This product was great for me. I have a gravel driveway in front of my house and this stroller had no trouble going over it. I could lock the front wheel to move in a straight line or I could unluck it and it made it very easy to manuver around the mall. Yes the stroller is kind of bulky, but definately worth making the room in your trunk for.

  66. Amy on-the-run mom on November 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love the carrier. It keeps our little guy nice and safe. I love being outdoors and started walking with him at 3 days (in the carrier in the stroller). At 6 weeks, we started jogging (again he was in the carrier in the jogger). I was nervous because I read reviews of a wobbly front wheel but I didn’t have that problem. Ours works perfect. I use it almost daily with our son walking and running on the road and it works perfect at the mall and strolling downtown. Our carrier cover did start to fray at one location and BabyTrend sent us another cover within a few days after I e-mailed them pictures and a copy of the receipt. Our little guy is 5 months now and if we have a second one, I will keep with the BabyTrend name and get a double stroller.

  67. MelMel on November 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The carseat is fine, but we are about to return our second stroller today. The first stroller I could not fold up because the button on the handle would stick and no matter how much I wrestled with it I could not press it in all the way. This stroller has a wobbly front wheel that makes the whole stroller shake like there is an earthquake going on. We’ve tried to tighten it, but it is as tight as it gets and still wobbles like crazy.

  68. atomic mama on November 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The infant car seat is perfect for our preemie with it’s adjustable straps. The car seat is also easily moved from stroller to car quickly.

  69. Kent's mom on November 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

The stroller is hard to push/maneuver because the front wheel does not swivel. The buttons are very hard to push in to adjust the carrier handle and to open/close the stroller. I would not recommend this item. The carrier also seems to be very narrow/small. I cannot fit a liner/blanket under the baby in the winter months.

  70. First Time Mom on November 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

It is so easy to use, don’t know what everyone was complaining about?!? LOVE the color, the simple uses, it is so functional and did I mention the compliments I get every time I am out with the stroller! The car seat is light and not very heavy, unlike MANY other brands that charge ridiculous amounts, the seat clicks right into the base and I nor my husband have any trouble doing so. The triangle handle on the seat makes carrying the baby around so much easier. I give this stroller an 11 on a scale of 1-10! Great buy, easy to use, LOVE it!

  71. pam on November 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I think the stroller is the best on the market , handles all terrain and those snowy days However the handle on the carseat is tough to push the buttons in i am hoping it gets easier as time goes along

  72. Frustrated on November 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this system because of its looks and the fact that it had the bigger wheels. There are gravel drives by our house where we take walks and this stroller is great for that. I’ve had no trouble with the front wheel as other reviews state. However, the arm on the carseat is very difficult to lower. I often give up and “limbo” my baby out of his seat. The stroller is also very hard to fold and unfold. I can hardly ever get it myself and therefore don’t take it anywhere unless my husband is with me. I would not buy again.

  73. Disappointed on November 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We went to the store and looked over the product and were impressed. We ordered it and when it arrived the fabric/trim had many spots where the stitching was missed by whomever sewed it or the stitching was ripped out. We called and Babies R Us was great. They were amazing sent us a new one immedicately and we packed up the other and sent the first one back. The second stroller arrived with the same problem. We called Babies R Us again. They directed us to the manufacturer who was a little slow to respond. They sent us the fabric and it seems to be in one piece. Other than the run of luck, we like the car seat and stroller. Just a tad stressful. Took 3 weeks to get the thing and all its pieces together.

  74. Jackie - stay at home mom on November 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I use the car seat daily and it works great. The buckle is a little hard to unbuckle but that’s ok.

The stroller rolls very well and it is easy to steer. The only downside is when you go backwards the front wheel flips around and then when you go forwards again it doesn’t flip back around so it won’t let you turn unless you manually flip it back around. The stroller is pretty large also so make sure you have a big enough trunk. It barely fits in my VW Passat trunk.

I really like the product though.

  75. leilei'smom on December 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this system. We got it right after i had my daughter and i liked it alot better than the graco one that i had with my son. The stroller rides really smooth as long as you lock the front wheel when running but other than that i never lock my wheel. The car seat is great, the handle does get a little stuck at times but they all do!The only thing that i don’t really care for is that the stroller is a little big for my trunk. I drive a 2007 grand prix so i have a lrg trunk. I have to take the side wheels off every time i take it any where, but it fits great in mt sisters hatch back.

i love this product! i found it easy to fold & even pick up with 1 hand. i’ve been using this stroller(with the carseat on it) since my baby was 2 weeks old. he is now 5 months old & we use it all the time. we spend a lot of time camping & the wheels do great through the mud & rocks. we did have a problem with the fork that hold the front wheel shaking. i called Baby Trend & they were very helpful. they told me how to get it apart to check the bearings & e-mailed me a picture of how they should look. it turned out mine was put together with the wrong bearings. they sent me new ones at no cost & they were very easy to replace. i did it in less than 10 minutes.

Car Seat that thing is the worse/ hardest/ most uncomfortable baby item I have ever come across. I had to go out and get EXTRA padding for my baby car seat..

The car seat handle won’t budge, I can’t close the stroller with first moving the pins on the bottom of the stroller, heavy bulky oh and the car seat’s straps always get twisted my baby screams everytime she gets in it. I hate this travel system and now I have to buy another one. Because I can’t wait until my baby grows out of it.

  80. Grant's mommy on December 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I wouldn’t buy this system. My husband and i were attracted to it because of the jogging stroller. I wish I would have returned it. My son is only 7 weeks old and I am ready to buy a different car seat. I called baby Trend with concerns with the handle not going down, the straps becoming twisted and the pad coming off. They were not helpful at all and wouldn’t return emails. The pad doesn’t stay in it, and the straps twist all the time. It is a total pain in the neck. This is the worst car seat ever, plus my son hates it. I have friends who went with Graco and Chicco and their seats are a million times better. It seems really cheap and not very safe. I really don’t understand how people can give this a good rating!

I use the stroller for walking around the neighborhood or going to the mall! It’s so awesome! I love it! It glides so well, the front wheel takes the sharp turns so smooth and it’s put my baby to sleep plenty of times! The car seat is very convenient and comfortable, my baby loves it! The stroller is bulky, however the wheels are removable so it can fit well in the trunk.

  82. mommyoftwo on December 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

THis is the best system we have had. We got this one after i fought with the grace one that i got from my shower. Yeah the stroller is a little big but it has a really smooth ride as long as you lock the front wheel when running. My son loves the car seat, the only thing that i didnt like about the seat was that it was a little hard to move the handle at first but got better with time.

  83. Dee on December 13th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My baby gets very hot in the carseat. Sometimes his back and hair are drenched with sweat and he must be changed immediately when we arrive home. We got rid of the box so we couldn’t take it back and read the reviews too late(others complained of the material). The clip that holds baby in seat is also a bad idea and takes time holding it together to make it fit. Looks good but sorry I purchased it.

[…] We had to exchange this stroller once due to a broken part, but the replacement is 100% fine.I am a stay at home mom who lives on a second floor condo and drives a very compact car. So I needed a travel system that would collapse fairly small, be lightweight enough for me to haul up the stairs and be sturdy enough to handle jogs around my neighborhood. This is the ONLY stroller I found that met all of those criteria, and I’ve been extremely happy with it so far.It handles beautifully, collapses easily, and while it is somewhat heavy, I was able to lift it up the stairs 3 1/2 weeks after my c-section without any problems. I have not had any issues with the carseat being uncomfortable or with straps twisting. My daughter conks right out whenever we go somewhere, so I’m assuming she has no complaints either. πŸ˜€

Great for everyday runners, bad for people that don’t know how to assemble.

  86. G's mom on December 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I take my son for daily walks, weather permitting. The front wheel shakes at a fast walk/jog in the locked mode. It also shook horribly in the unlocked mode at a semi-fast pace. Baby trend customer service was horrible. A friend, who has a workshop, added some washers to stabilize the locking mechanism. Now the front wheel is fine. It doesn’t even wobble in the unlocked mode.

The handle on the car seat is hard to move. The straps get twisted easily and become uneven making it very high maintenance. I am a stay at home mom and some days I don’t leave the house so I can live with these issues. If you are on a time schedule, this would be a nuisance.

For the price, the travel system is ok. It folds and sets up well. If you are someone who walks or jogs on a regular basis and aren’t mechanically inclined, I would choose another brand.

  87. bothered on December 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Not only does the handle not come down easily, but it weighs a ton! My son is 5 months and big for his age. He is already growing out of the seat, yet the system says from 12 to 24 months. And to make things worse Baby Trend doesn’t make a step up from this seat so you have to by a whole new brand of car seat and base. It took 3 emails and 4 phone calls to finally get a response from them! When i did get one it was rude. I do NOT suggest this company at all!

  88. annoyed shopping mom on December 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I wanted this stroller so bad when I first used it I was taking my daughter on a walk outside the stroller was amazing very smooth I loved it. I am a huge mall shopper and the stroller sucks in the mall the front wheel sticks and the stroller is extremly difficult to turn. the back wheels are so big that the stroller is so hard to get in and out of the trunk. its also hard to manover through the stores this is a good outside stroller only.

  89. Normal mom on December 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

ALL the bad ratings are true #1 problem handle so hard to move from up to down position. #2 straps are ridiculous! They twist and become uneven time consuming and uncomfortable to baby. My son is 4 monts old and between 14 and 15lbs and he was a premee. It is already so difficult to buckle him in. The straps are so tight and they are adjusted as long as they can go. There is no way he will be in this seat up to 22lbs. I dont know what size to get him now?? I have one for toddler but he is still so small he wont fit and be safe! Also the jogger shakes like crazy when he was new born i took him out for the first walk and not even half way down the street the wheel started shaking like crazy and woak up my son and realy tosseled him about. He was well packed in with head cushioning but he shouldnt have to be startled awake like that, and it sertainly wasnt the only time that would happen so we mess with the locks and no fix. What a bad product dressed up like the best deal ever. Its a 2 in one monsterous mistake.

  90. momma of two on December 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I highly suggest that you take a close look at the quailty of this item. Spend a few extra bucks and get a Graco or Peg Preggo it will last you a lot longer and their customer service is far better. This item falls apart to easy, a better quality item will last a lot longer . This fell apart after our daughter and we bought a Gracco sytem for our son and love it.

  91. Mom of Talan on December 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I would only recommend buying this stroller for outside use. Overall, we haven’t had too many problems with it yet but I do not like the swivel wheel, it seems dangerous and shook my son around like crazy when I started jogging. The front wheel pretty much has to stay locked. Also, the straps keep getting twisted for some reason and we have to keep fixing them. The material that the carseat is made out of is not good for hot climates. If I had read some reviews on this product before we asked for it as a gift, I probably wouldn’t have purchased it but it does still satisfy most of our needs.

  92. Hunters Mommy on January 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We absolutely love this travel system and have none of the problems everyone else has. My boyfriend assembled it very quickly, our front wheel does not shake or wobble (although the display one in the store did my boyfriend is pretty sure it just wasn’t assembled right). Ours is really easy to collapse down, stiff at first but you have to break everything like this in. After putting it down and back up a couple times it was no problem. The handle on the carseat also folds down nicely and we’ve found the padding inside to be great. We’re really happy with this set, not sure why others have had so many problems.

  93. cher new mom on January 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We are out door people but this stroller is good in the malls to. the only complaint is the size-if you have a smaller car it is difficult to fit in. But if you can get past that the infant seat is worth the purchase alone.

  94. 'burgh mom on January 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Ok so I purchased this stroller not even reading any sort of reviews about this product. I was a lil concerned when I first took the stroller out bc the front wheel wobbled so much even when I locked it into place. I just thought that my lil one wasnt heavy enough to stabilize the front wheel. He got older and the front wheel still shakes. I had so much trouble folding the stroller up that, I now carry a can of WD40 to spray on the button that allows the stroller to fold. The last straw came just before Christmas, I was walking in […] and went to turn a corner and the front wheel locked into a sideways position causing me to almost tip the stroller with my lil one in it. Yep that was the last straw. Its going back to the store bc of the extended warranty that was purchased. After reading reviews, go with Chicco. Lil more expensive but the consumer report is great on it.

  95. Always on the go mom from MD on January 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use these reveiws all the time when I buy things so I decided to comment – I read over these reviews just recently and was really surprised by them – My son is now 16 months old and we still love this system. Yes, he did grow out of the infant seat a little sooner than we expected but it did its purpose and was fine when we used it and the stroller has been great. We go on hiking walks in the woods and on beaches and I can use just one hand on this stroller. Only complaints so far – the front wheel lock jams sometimes so it is hard to manuever in small spaces (but it is a ‘jogger’ stroller) and if you don’t fold it correctly the back part of the seat will warp a little, and putting the back part up and down is not the easiest for baby to lay down. Overall it is very light and folds compactly for its size and very durable – can’t wait to use it for baby on the way!

  96. New Mom on January 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a great travel system. We camp A LOT and it is great for going on gravel and other uneven surfaces. As far as the wobbly front wheel, it can be locked for jogging purposes. I have also used this in many malls and it pushes very easily. My husband does not feel strange pushing the travel system. The basket is a little small, but I am a mom who has her diaper bag so full nothing else could possibly fit inside.

  97. Michael's Mom on January 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband and I love this system. The car seat/carrier is so easy to install the bases and we are happy that the carrier has the triangle handle. It is nice to be able to shift the way you carry. The stroller is pretty bulky/heavy, but I think that is to be expected with a jogger. It rolls and handles very nice, although we have not used it outdoors yet.

  98. The Goth Mama on January 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

horrible i should have listen to bad reviews im stuck with a stroller i can put back down…its bulky the carrier straps suck and twist around constantly the handle is hard to get down and up and the im still mad the stroller wont go down…dont buy this at all

  99. Santi's Mom on January 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I asked for this one because the wheels are big and it would go over the snow easy. I have never been stuck in the snow and I go every were with it. It is bulky and heavy and it is hard for me to close the button I think needs to be easier to push on. This is my first winter with it and I can not imagine what it would be like with out it.

  100. Evan's Mom on January 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

All the negative comments are true, unfortunately. The handle on the car seat is extremely hard to move. I thought it would loosen with use, but it got worse. The straps on the carseat somehow get tangled at least once a week. The only positive is the stroller. It is a pretty smooth ride, however the tires are always loosing air pressure. Maybe that is why the company provides a handheld pump in the stroller basket. I’ve tried to call Baby Trend 3 times and sent 2 emails and I’m yet to hear back from them. My husband’s company offers discounts on Graco products and I’ve already ordered a car seat from them.

  101. Kristenthenurse on January 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We purchased this stroller and seat system because I can’t stand the difficult manuverability of the traditional strollers. I am NOT a runner but have been told by friends who are that the wheel does shake if not locked and even then not great for running. We have loved it for day trips, walks ect. It is bulky but not hard to figure out, it does seem to depend a lot on how it is assembled. We took the seat apart to clean several times as our sweetie was a puker, no problems at all. I loosened the seat straps to get her in and then gave the strap a tug below the button to pull them tight. I loved our time with this system, she is now in a convertable seat but I still use the stroller often. It is great “off road.” I highly recomend it to moms who are not runners but want something that does well off the sidewalk.

  102. Jackie on January 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is the best! The only complaint I would say is it is rather bulky however which travel systems arent? They are so easy to push…it requires a finger to push it that is how easy it is. I can take it anywhere and it maneuvers very easily as well. It is so easy to manuever from the other strollers out there. It reclines easily, straps easily, and has great coverage from the sun with the dual umbrella covers from both ends. My son loves this stroller and so does my mother who babysits my son all day. She takes him for long walks and cant believe how great this stroller is.

  103. christin9704 on January 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I havent had the chance to use the stroller yet, as I just had my baby on Friday. However, I have only used the car seat twice…and I HATE it aleady. The handle is very hard to move up and down without jiggling it. I feel like the quality is extremely poor compared to my last Graco travel system. Also, the base doesn’t fit well (over extends the seat) in my Jeep Liberty or Tahoe. If it doesn’t fit well in an SUV, I can imagine it won’t fit well in other vehicles. I plan on returning the system on Friday. I’m a little disapointed because there aren’t many other options for travel systems that include jogging style strollers.

  104. new mom on January 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

horrible stroller tires lose air all the time, hard to fold/open need two hands to do both. front whell doesn’t turn even when unlocked. hard to push. when using car seat in stroller my baby sits to upright leaving his head to lean forward. the car seat is good except for the straps twists to easily and its hard to buckle. the base for the car is horrible and moves all over the place it’s safer to use with the seat belt.

  105. frustrated about this product on January 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I added this item to my regristry because it looked stylish and it was much cheaper than similar travel system. My first time using this product was 2 months after my shower, when my daugther was born. The car seat hadle is very difficult to put up and down. The stroller front wheel does pivot, it’s difficult to fold and unfold, and the entire stroller shakes at a high speed. It’s an absolutely horrible product do not waste your time or money.

  106. cedrs on January 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I purchased this product because for so long I have purchased cheap strollers to get the bargain- but this stroller is awful. I have had nothing but problems- it is hard to turn, hard to fold up, now it doesnt lock into place, and it is heavy! I have had it for less than a year but doubt I can even return it at this point.

  107. Head on January 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

you need an suv for this stroller. Its too big and the front wheel would wable so much that the whole stroller would shake even after adjusting the bolts and wheels when walking at normal pace.its also hard to use in department stores. We exchanged it.

  108. new mom on February 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Overall, this is a great travel system. The carseat and base is easy to use. The down side is that it can be hard to get the handle back. The buttons are difficult to press in and require a lot of strength. Otherwise, I have no complaints with the seat.
The stroller is great. It does take up a decent amount of space – almost my whole trunk of my small compact car. But it is super easy to fold/unfold and the car seat clicks in easily. There is good storage underneath to hold your purse or shopping bags. I haven’t tried running with it yet — too muddy and icy right now. But I find the wheels to maneuver well on sidewalks and in stores.

  109. pola on February 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller for an every day use, because comparing its price to others, it looked better and it had the jogging option that was important for my husband.Even after 9 months of use, my husband hasnt use it to run at all, I feel in some hard terrains other strollers wouldnt work as this because big bycicle type wheels it has.Never the les, Its me who has paid the price of a bulky and very heavy stroller.other bad thing is that its materials are really not good quality, even though i am veery careful with it, the little roof (the plastic part) is all ready broken, the back part of the seat , the fabric has turned apart.
The baby seat is not confortable and it makes him sweat a lot (dont know if others do too)the front wheel shakes a lot if you dont have enough weight in the front part of the stroller, (so I allway hang my purse in the front wheel), It has a difficult basket access,
I am allways dirty after I fold it to put it away. May be thats why it is not expensive o may be its is not an every day stroller.

  110. Norma on February 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this item over a year ago. My daughter is now going on 15 months. She has moved on to a bigger carseat but she used this car seat for a while. We loved it. The stroller is great for pushing her around in the snow. And now that she no longer uses the car seat we use the stroller by itself. I brough my daughter to work with me every day for 8 months. This item allowed me to do this!!! She would take naps on the thing and getting in and out in the winter (she was borned in Nov.) was a breeze. I really enjoyed this item. As far as it being bulky?? Well…its relative!! Bulky as compared to an umbrella stroller sure but as far as the systems go I checked it out in the store before I bought this one. The non-jogger ones aren’t too much smaller and I wanted the extra umph for snow days!

  111. mom of new born on February 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Two stars might be over rated.

    1) the handle bar you carry in is Very hard too move. The botton got stucked from day one.

    2) 12 months and up? my son is outgrowing the car seat before turns 6 months!
28.5 inches high and max 22 lbs. So that headline on babies’r’us must refer to the stroller alone (misleading!).

    3) His head was always wabling and dangling all over the place. The head cushin doesn’t do the job. I had to hold his fore head while driving (don’t buy if you have don’t have your right hand available for him while driving). And the seat possition seemed WAY TOO UP-RIGHT, even when the front of the base was lifted up as much as possible.

    4) In Mazda 3 it won’t fit behind the driver unless you have very short legs. Anmd also because of the above, #3, i had it installed behind the passenger seat anyways. -the handlebar needs to be down while driving – and i had to reach his head.

    5) yes the front wheel keeps lucking if you exceed regular walking pace.

    6) the seat belt keeps twisting and turning, but I think this is a common problem wih many products.

ON THE GOOD SIDE : it’s stylish and the stroller is comfortable when walking – but don’t try to speed up!

I use this product on a daily basis. Unfortunatly, all the negative comments are so true. I am european and don’t like the “typical american” travel systems. When i saw the stroller i felt in love with it, so did my husband. We definitely wasted our money. The handle on the car seat is hard to lift up and down, the stroller it self won’t lock into place sometimes which makes us look like idiots when we are about to go to the mall (for example). The wheel in the front is always shaking ….The funny thing is I was at oshkosh shopping and this pregnant lady came up to me and asked how i liked this stroller. I told her don’t waste your money. I told her all the different things that were wrong with it and another lady heard our conversasion. She said her cousin had the same stroller and the same problems. Her on the other hand , purchased the same stroller in a different color and love it ! I guess it’s just this color, im not sure. If you want to safe yourself some money dont buy this one!!

  113. real world mommy on February 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this system! I’ve read alot of the reviews on here, I don’t know what they’re talking about. I have no problem folding the stroller, moving the carseat from the car to stroller and back. The stroller is sturdy and well made in my opinion. I did have a problem with the front wheel wobbling when I tried to run with it, but then I LOCKED THE WHEEL like it says to in the instructions and had no more problems. I’ve not had any problems with the straps of the carseat twisting. The only downsides I have seen is the carrying handle is difficult to move up and down, although I have found it is much easier to push in the buttons from the backside of the carseat. Also this system is probably not going to fit into a sports/compact car, although it fits just fine in my 3-door Saturn. Do yourself a favor and test-drive it around the store, you’ll love it.

  114. New Mommy! on February 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I do not recommend this product! We put this on our registry because we wanted a jogger and did not want to have to buy two strollers. My son was born in October so we have been “trying” to use this for over 3 months now. However, we should have just paid the money for a good jogger because we are going to have to buy a new one anyway and now we have to throw this one away! WASTE OF MONEY! Unless you walk at a snails pace, the front wheel is so wobbly that it could potentially dump your child out of the stroller. We thought it was the bolts so we contacted the manufacturer and after waiting on hold for over an hour they sent us new parts. Even after replacing these parts, the stroller is still extremely wobbly! If you are looking to use this as a jogger as it was designed to be used for, think otherwise! I highly suggest just paying the money and buying something safe for your baby! The handle on the car seat is also VERY difficult to move!!!

  115. April busy working mom on the go on February 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought it in the begining of my prgency thinking it would be a nice system.I was very wrong. The car seat straps are always getting tangled up, and handle is hard to move. I also hve a hard time getting it to fit into the back of both my and my husbands car. It has to go in the back passenger side and the passenger seat has to be all the way up. leaving the passenger no leg room. Our babys head was alwasy floped over in it. and the base was loose fitting. We even whent to the fire dept. to make sure it was in the right way. The stroller front wheel is alwawys shaking and the two back weels are always leeking air. It is also hard to fold up, and lock the wheels. I called Baby Trend regarding the problems we were haveing. When it came to the straps we were told to take them out spray them with strach and iron them. Then when it came down to the stroller they sent me out new guts for the front wheel with no instructions on how to change them. As for the back wheels, they told me to take it to a bike shop and have them fix it. I have changed the guts to the wheel and still there was no change it still shakes bad. My baby is now four months old, and i am looking into buying a new stroller. When I get pregnet with the next child i will not be using this car seat again The whole thing was a waste of money.

  116. Chris on February 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The short story is that due to a bad design the wheel always shakes when walking faster than a toddler. We didn’t mind until the cable broke due to the known design flaw (red all of the posts). When we contacted Baby Trend after less than 7 months of moderate use (3 times per week) we were told the warranty was only 180 days. No big deal, I understand they have to draw a line, but here is where they drop the ball…we have to pack up our stroller and mail it to them because of a known defect that in my opinion will ultimately break every time within one year. They won’t even ship us the part we need to fix it. We are forced to pack it up and ship it to them at our cost, then pay for the repair (less than 10 minutes with part in hand). In summary, a decent stroller, but only if you want a locked front wheel in less than a year with no reasonable means of repair.

  118. Active Parents in Orange County on February 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We’ve had the stroller for 3 months now and love it. If you have a few minutes a week to take care of the stroller, then it works out great.

    – People who complain about the stroller being wobbly are probably not inflating the tires. The back tires need to be inflated at the same air pressure or else it will wobble.
    – Inflatable tires naturally lose air. Your car tires lose air. Bicycle tires lose air. And the tires on this stroller are no exception. If you are too lazy to pump the tires every week or so, then this isn’t for you.
    – If you do buy this stroller, get a bike pump if you don’t have one. This is much better than the hand pump that it comes with.
    – People who complain about not being able to jog with it need to lock the front wheel as the instructions state. MOST JOGGING STROLLERS HAVE A LOCKED WHEEL! Those that don’t are extremely expensive.

All that being said, I have one complaint in that the stroller will not fit in the trunk of one of our cars if the baby seat is in the middle of the back seat (Scion tC). We have a snap and go stroller as well, so that’s not so much of a problem.

  119. Returning it tomorrow! on February 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I didn’t want to believe the negative reviews on this travel system, so I kept it on my registry despite all the bad reactions I’d read.

I wish I had listened though, because they were all right. I have tried to take this stroller jogging several times, and each time the front wheel chatters and shakes like a bad shopping cart. The entire stroller wobbles very badly and my poor daughter gets jostled whenever this happens. Weird performance from something that’s supposedly built for jogging, right?

I have had several instances where I’ve been unable to get the stroller unlocked from its folded down position. I’ve literally had to just turn around and go home from the playground or mall because I couldn’t get the thing set up no matter how hard I tried!

Just today, I had a real problem getting it folded down. I stood out in the cold, struggling with it, and actually considered just throwing it off the roof of the parking garage. At least it would look really cool on the way down!

I’ve experienced all the problems mentioned with the car seat as well. It’s next to impossible to get a hold of customer service, naturally.

We’re getting a new stroller tomorrow. I can’t take it for one more day.

  120. Tired Mom on February 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Don’t buy this stroller. It has been nothing but problems. First the front tire broke and then the mechanism that you press to fold the stroller broke. I got the stroller at my baby shower. Unable to return back to store as they have a 90 day return policy that stinks. When I started using the stroller and it broke it was after the 90 days. Baby Trend the manufacturer is very hard to get a hold of. Not compassionate and very rude. I just wanted a refund. No they can’t do that. When I sent my stroller to them to get fixed they never fixed the tire problem and they broke the folding mechanism again. My stroller is only 6 months old and I have never used it. Don’t buy it, the price sounds good but the headache is not worth it.

  121. Liam's Mommy on February 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband and I just bought this over the Evenflo Elite system. This is much lighter and easier for me to lift than a big bulky system. It was easy to assemble and we just had it out for a stroll- we couldn’t be happier! Hopefully Liam will like it as much as we do when he comes in May!

  122. tired arms on February 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I’ve had this travel system for eleven months. I wish that I could rate this higher because for it’s basic purpose, I love the stroller, and it is so reasonable to boot! It is so maneuverable, a soft ride, and is just plain fun to drive. It takes quick turns, is very narrow compared to others, and also goes over curbs without being too topsy. I loved using the stroller as a travel system. For the price, it’s great, but I’d only recommend it to others with big warnings. Read on for my concerns. I hate the carseat. The carseat is VERY heavy, the straps are way too tight for my 20 lb. baby with a jacket on, and it seems really hard on the back (but my baby doesn’t seem to mind.) When I first bought it, the handle could not be moved down and the straps could not be pulled out to extend them. […] When I called the company, they said to use PAM on the handle and that the straps would loosen with use. Why shouldn’t the product just work to begin with? They wouldn’t exchange it. I drove around with the handle up and squashed my baby with tight straps for a few days. The handle bar was not an issue after using the PAM. The straps were fine after my husband worked on them for a couple of days, but they are now too short. I really have to tug at them, and pull them too tight against him to get him in. My baby hates getting into the carseat now. i don’t know if it is because of his age, or because of the carseat. My son has outgrowb the carseat. He is the right weight and height to move on, but we really have to move on because the straps are way too tight. I love the stroller part with the carseat as the infant seat. I haven’t had any difficulty with the front wheel at all. My tires have gotten low twice, but I’ve had it for eleven months and used it a lot. It is a bit heavy to get in the car, but not a problem. It is easy to fold and unfold. Do not use this off road or on trails. Though the air tires help to reduce some bouncing on gravel paths, to get a smooth ride over rocks or roots, you’d need shock absorbers. I’ve experienced some stressful moments watching my baby’s head bounce around. Now that my baby has grown out of the carseat, I am very nervous about using the stroller without the baby seat. The back of the stroller is adjusted by moving a gadget up a set of strings up, but the gadget doesn;t stay in place. You also attach the string on a hook, but it won’t make the back elevate straight. He is still reclined too much for his desire. He ends up pulling himself to sitting and not leaning back- not comfortable.

I think that the people who are unhappy with this product may not understand what they purchased. Most people complain about the front wheel not working properly when they jog. This really isn’t a jogger stroller. The tires are all-terrain tires. A true jogger stroller will not have a swivel front wheel, it will have a stationary front wheel. This stroller is meant to handle on and off road conditions better than a traditional stroller as it has different tires and better maneuverability. But to safely jog with a small child you really should invest in a true jogger stroller. It is a little bulky, but otherwise I have no complaints. It is still fairly new to me so it is possible that problems may arise, but so far I’m happy.

My son is only four months old and already am gonna have to spend money on another stroller. Can’t open to put the carseat in. can’t let the carseat handle down, without help from my husband. so it stays up when he’s not home. the easy part is the base, besides that It’s useless, just fancy looking but worthless for usage.if you like spending unwisely in this economy, then this your stroller

  125. Becky on February 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I wanted a stroller that I could use everywhere- jogging (burn off that baby weight!), walking in parks, visiting the mall, touring the zoo, etc…. This stroller does all that! It is really, really easy to take apart and fold up too, which was a major necessity for me as I did not want to have to struggle for an hour with putting a stroller together every time I wanted to use it! It is smaller than most strollers when you fold it up, so it takes up less space in a my vehicle. My husband loves the sleek design, and is proud to show off his son in it! This stroller was definitely worth every penny that we paid!

  126. Babymama on February 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I was leary about buying this product as the reviews are very mixed, but I decided to buy it anyways as it was the only affordable stroller that my husband and I both liked. It was easy to assemble and the stroller pushes like a disney stroller, nice and smooth. The car seat is way more padded than other travel system car seats that are in the same price range. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone that is thinking about buying it!! The only bad thing about this stoller is it is rather bulky but that is to be expected with a jogging stroller!

I love this stroller system. When we shopped around for a travel system, we definately tried to get the best we could for the cheapest amount of money. This was definately the best price for a travel system and it was a jogging stroller to boot! We take our baby everywhere so we definately needed something that could handle wear and tear and those cheap, plastic wheels on other strollers just weren’t going to cut it. Granted, there are a few things to get used to with this car seat and stroller- the handle on the car seat can be hard to move but there is a trick to doing it that once you figure out is easy as pie. You have to pinch the red sides and pull towards you and out a little before pushing it back. Don’t just try to instantly push it back, it won’t work. And folding/unfolding the stroller can be tricky too but there is a trick for that as well. Pull up when pinching the red buttons, then push forward. It’s kinda hard to explain, but I use my stroller EVERY day and have never had a problem with it folding or unfolding. And if you keep the tire pump in the netting compartment in the under basket, refilling the tires every once and a while is a breeze. I definately recommend this travel system, particularly if you want the best value for your buck.

  128. Blessed with the Best on February 28th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Very cute (we get compliments all the time…I like it because its different and love the spoked wheels. Very boyish, which is exactly what we wanted). The triangular handle is AWESOME for grabbing from any angle and hanging toys from. Its easy to adjust the height straps and my son falls asleep as soon as he starts moving in it. Love the adjustable handle on the stroller, the double cup holders (wish they were just a little wider though, to accomodate larger water bottles) and the little compartment for my keys in the front.

I do NOT like how the basket drags on the ground when the stroller’s folded. It makes it VERY difficult to move (I have to CARRY it to the car…very inconvenient where I live), and the little window on the stroller shade doesn’t say open (but it velcros shut…i guess they got it backwards…) so everytime I want to check on my son while we’re walking (with him in the carseat in the stroller) I have to hold the flap open with one hand or stop to open it. Also, it does not fit in the back of Grandma’s Prius…it’s WAY too long.

The carseat base that came with the travel system was pretty difficult to install and uninstall, but the second one that we bought separately was much easier to tighten.
The shocks in the stroller seem to work pretty well, too, we can go over all sizes of gravel and it doesn’t bother my son at all. Its also very easy to get through rougher terrain. I can fit more than I’d expected to in the basket as well (and I have NEVER travelled lightly in my life!). The child tray is nice and big too; I’ll be able to put lots of diffrent suction toys on it AND little snacks and things when my son is big enough.

The stroller straps…I definately feel like my son will be SAFE should I choose to jog when its warmer, but they are not comfortable at all!!!!!!!!!! I’ll have to get more wrap around strap cushions or something…I like my baby to be as comfortable as possible. It seems kind of cheap to not have any padding on the straps.

My biggest problems are the difficulty of moving the handle on the carseat, and the fact that it does not latch on at many stores, so I have to either carry my son or put him in the main cart basket (not fun when I’m stocking up on diapers at wal mart!!).

Overall, I feel like my son is very safe (and stylish!) in this carseat and would recommend it to someone who can’t afford a really expensive travl system, but personally I will be buying the system I’d originally intended on (I was all set to buy it, then saw a couple looking at this babytrend one, and I loved it in the store).

My wife and I run with fives times per week with this jogger unless is too much snow out. Our child is now 2 and we have had no problems with this stroller package. […] I’m 225lb my wife is 125lb she has no problem storing, packing or running with this stroller. If you need brand recognition, waste your money on the B.O.B. and get half the features. We care more about functionality and price

  130. New Parent on March 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I read the reviews on this product, and decided that if I follow the directions exactly as it said, it should be a pretty good stroller. I just bought it and took it out of the package and noticed that the material on the carseat is worn so thin that it has a hole in it and the material on the stroller is ripped. I’m not quite sure where on the stroller, I didn’t finish unpacking it. It’s going right back to the store.

  131. Jackie on March 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This system is excellent. It is very easy to open and close. I love that there are two cup holders and a storage dept. The wheels are excellent and they come off to fit in small trunks. I also love that the arm to hold the car seat is rubber….awesome I would recommend this to all.

  132. New mom on March 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

As much as I love the jogger stroller, the infant car seat handle has frustrated me to no end. I am an expecting mom and my husband and I starting familiarizing ourselves with the car seat, as suggested by many. To my surprise, I am not strong enough to push the buttons that allow the handle to move up and down. We even tried having my husband do it several times to see if that would loosen it up and it didn’t. I was so frustrated with it that I would rather have a different travel system all together.

  133. non jogging mom on March 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Carseat is fine. Stroller is not usable because the front wheel wobbles so much even when walking! you can adjust the bolt above the wheel to tighten it which i had to adjust every 15 feet on a walk. Babytrend says you must lock the front wheel and jog in a straight line and lift the front wheel to turn! not a fun walk, much less jog.

  134. Cole's mom on March 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a great buy! the stroller is light weight and skinny enough to push through small spaces. i use it at the mall and stores all the time. Its very easy to fold up. Sometimes the button you push gets a little stuck. You just have to squeeze it harder. I run downtown a lot and its great. Cole loves it. It does great with the car seat in it or out. It looks stylish too. That is a plus. i recommend this to anyone. I like the REAL wheels better than the plastic ones. We took it out to the beach one day and everyone that had children had to carry or abandon their strollers through the sandy trail. We pushed right through with no problem. You just have to remember to lock the front wheel.

  135. Ty's Mom on March 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller its stylish, I love that the wheels aren’t the typical plastic wheels. I can go walking when the weather is nice, I can take it to the mall. I can go where ever I want and take my baby because of this stroller. If you follow the manual its easy to use. Everyone is right about the carseat handle tho its hard. My babysitter can’t figure it out no matter how hard she tries but my husband and I have it down you just have to squeeze and give it a lil jiggle. I am very happy with this stroller it has its qwirks but they all do don’t they? Would you rather have plastic breakable wheels and a bumpy ride for your baby? If not then get this stroller its a smoothe ride.
It would be much easier to transport if you could roll it but a basket does drag and get in your way.

  136. Doglover4life on March 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really like the Baby Trend line, especially the jogger. Unfortunately, the jogger didn’t work for us. I love the carrier and base but the jogger was difficult to open/close. The button mechanism to open/close it broke after using it for 2 months. I had to return the entire travel system even though I really liked the carrier and using it with the jogger. I ended up getting another Baby Trend (jogger and carrier) which I absolutely love. The new Baby Trend jogger is easy to maneuver and open/close. The open/close mechanism is easier as well. Also, the carrier sits a little higher in the jogger which I like. Overall, I would recommend the Baby Trend jogger and carrier. I think they’re much easier than the bulky travel systems out there.

I fell in love with this travel system when i saw it in the store. It is so cute, love the colors and we have gotten so many compliments on it. I love the stroller, however the front wheel did randomly pop off on us one day while using it. I do not like the carseat at all! The straps are constantly twisting, I don’t like how you have to over lap the pieces before buckling it in, it’s narrow on the inside not very roomy and it’s heavy. Also the handle is so hard to move it really hurts my hands. If I could go back i would have researched more systems and most likely would have bought a different one!

  138. Mikki on March 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller thinking it would be great for my daughter and i to walk and jog. I used it once and it was fine but the second time i used it the front wheel rattled so bad i could barely keep it under control and was almost hit by a car while crossing the road. i would not recomend this to anyone and it should be recalled and rechecked for any defects

I have the Baby Trend carseat only. I loved it except for one thing…the buttons were SO hard to push to move the handle!! It got so bad that I couldn’t even do it, my husband had to do it for me. I got so angry…you had to pull it just right and push the buttons so hard. I thought it was just ours, but it seems that this is a common problem. I had my father look at it (as he can fix anything). He sprayed some silicone spray (less messy than WD40) in the handle where the handle unlatches. It works perfectly now!!! It is a bit heavy, but I love the handle. It has many options of where to hold it. And the rubber grip is nice.

  141. Dad on March 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a horrible stroller. It shakes and wobbles in the front so bad, it makes it hard to control, the front wheel assembly came with the parts, making it unsafe, and when they did mail the right washers, and spacers, we used it, and the front wheel assembly came of with our daughter in the stroller. Baby Trend will not do anything about it. General Manager will not return any calls. Baby Trend is horrible, selfish, and should be stayed away from.

  142. Megg on March 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

First of all, to counter the wobbly wheel comment; there is a lock on the front wheel that you are supposed to flip when you use the stroller to jog with. It locks it in the straight position so the wheel doesn’t wobble. But the main problem I have been having is that the sun shade doesn’t move to the front. It is only attached to the back, so if you have the baby directly in the stroller and you are facing the sun, there is no way to shade the baby from the sun. It is absolutely ridiculous. Besides that, I have enjoyed the stroller. It is very good for the awful sidewalks here in NOLA.

  143. Carolyn the new mom on March 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I wish I would have known the stroller won’t fit in the trunk of a car. I drive an Nissan Altima & my husband drives an Acura TSX & the stroller won’t fit in either of our cars! Going to have to do a return tomorrow & exchange for another one.

  144. Danie on March 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I thought this looked like a great stroller. Nice wheels, all terain, etc. Bonus, it comes with a matching infant car seat!! I was so excited when I got it. We put it together, and YAY! Until I actually used it. The first time I used the stroller, the handle grip seem came undone. Then I noticed the infant seat coushin has no way of being attached to the car seat. So everytime I put my son in it, the coushin by his feet slides up under his rear end. Talk about frustrated. Especially trying to be efficient taking car of other children. Then I was just walking to the store to get fresh air!!!! Then BAM!! The front wheel falls off. I guess it has happened to my husband as well. No matter HOW tight it’s tightened. I just wish I had went with a different item.

We purchased this stoller in March for our second baby who is due in a few months and I love everything about this stroller and car seat! I havent had any issues with the car seat handle sticking (although the one on display we tried did stick a little.) We had our 3 yr old with us when we tried the stroller so we put him in it and pushed it around the store, and it went great ( its also great outside in the dirt i took my son for a walk in it) the front wheel did wobble a little but it says in the directions when you are putting it together there is a bolt right above the front tire that you can adjust to stop the wobbling. It is bulky and heavy but i have yet to see or use a jogging stroller that isnt, and we have a van so it not fitting in the trunk isnt an issue for us.

  147. Jaime on April 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

To summarize everything that I will say below: We have had such an awful experience with this stroller and with Baby Trend that we will very specifically and vocally boycott any of their products from now on. Unless you are looking for something to regret and/ or an unnecessary problem to have to deal with while also caring for an infant, buy a different product.

We have been using this car-seat/ stroller combo for 11 months (the stroller 3-4 times per week for walking/ jogging). There are things about it that aren’t that bad or are even nice, but the bad things about the stroller are so severe as to make any positive feature irrelevant.

Car Seat: Handle is very hard to move because ‘buttons’ that disengage the locks are difficult to press hard enough and must be pressed in perfect coordination.

Stroller: As is mentioned repeatedly in reviews, the front wheel wobbles, ultimately leading to the breaking of the cable that triggers the lock/ swivel mechanism (so that you’re left with only a locked, wobbly wheel). Next, the folding mechanism starts to break down, so that when you’re using the stroller, it wobbles up and down around the fold point, feeling like the whole thing is going to collapse and making it difficult to push. None of this can be fixed because of the ridiculously cheap construction (the entire stroller is held together with rivets, so once it breaks, it’s broken for good)–you can’t take anything apart to repair it, and you can’t tighten anything.

After only 11 months of moderate use, I can now not use the stroller anymore and am shopping for one that is not garbage.

Customer Service: Baby Trend’s customer service is profoundly awful, probably the worst I’ve yet experienced. Read the many other reviews for detailed descriptions, as I can’t comment further on the subject without saying something nasty.

In conclusion: seriously–don’t buy this (or anything else from Baby Trend).

  148. mom of 1 on April 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I like it but there are a few downfalls. The wheel does wobble, the handle is hard to put up and down on the car seat, and I am finding now that where the green decorative line thing on the car seat and on the stroller that leaves an indent around her head. Who ever designed that did not think that thoroughly.

  149. New mom on April 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Other reviewers are correct when they say the handle on the car seat doesn’t move well. It takes perfect timing of both buttons to move it. Our stroller doesn’t have a problem with the wheel but it doesn’t fold correctly. We carry a screw driver with us to get it to unfold. Called Baby Trend and they recommended greasing the car seat handle where the buttons are. I will say that if you are purchasing a new one 2009 I think they fixed some of the problems. My husband and I went back to Babies R Us and noticed the floor model worked much better than ours. Ours is 2008. Good luck!

    Stroller is difficult to use!!

  151. Practical Parent on April 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Love, love, love this travel system. We are an active family and baby comes everywhere with us. The stroller is great-it zips over all types of terrain effortlessly. The carrier itself is sturdy and clicks into place (either in the stroller or into the car seat base) quite easily. The carrier also has a triangular shaped handle which makes carrying it a breeze. The ONLY negative thing that I have to say about this product is that the handle on the carrier base is not very easy to adjust. There are two buttons on the sides that need to be simultaneously squeezed when you want to adjust the position of the handle, these buttons are VERY hard to push in making adjusting the handle a struggle. Other than that, I’d say buy this product.

  152. Brand New Mommy on April 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Like most mothers or mothers-to-be, I read the reviews to make sure I was buying the “right” stroller. I’ve seen many mothers with this stroller out and about and asked each one their opinion about it. I have yet to hear a negative report other than reading reviews on babiesrus. After putting together the stroller and using it myself I have come to make my own wonderful opinion of this stroller. The wheel does not wobble because I adjusted the bolt under the black plastic foot-rest…. It says to do this in the instructions as well. My significant other and I had no trouble with folding and unfolding the stroller. And also the car seat handle gave us no problem at all. We simply followed the instructions and pushed both buttons and the handle released and we were able to maneuver it. The only thing I do not like is the fact that it is a little difficult fitting it into my Nissan Altima trunk. I would definitely recommend this stroller to a friend and I would most certainly buy it again.

  153. First time mommy on April 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is big and bulky, we have to take off the front wheel to just get it into the back of our car. It is difficult to turn and maneuver. When I see other people with the stroller, and ask them if they like it they have the same complains. I am looking into purchasing a different on and I have only had it for 4 months.

  154. Blakes mommy on April 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband and I use this product every time we go anywhere. It is so easy to fold and unfold the stroller. We have to take the 2 back wheels off to fit the whole thing in the trunk of our Mercury Mystique. The infant carrier is great as well. Our son loves it. Sometimes the button on the right side of the handle is hard to move, but we put a little WD-40 and it works perfectly! This is the absolute best travel system I have ever seen and used!!

  155. new mom on April 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I like the stroller overall, its very nice and functional, the only problems with it is that the arm on the car seat is very hard to put up and down, my husband always has to do it I can never move it, it takes a lot of strength. also its usually pretty easy to push and turn but sometimes it has a mind of its own and will stop when im trying to turn, and the front wheel will lock up.

  156. Ly-Ly on April 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this because we wanted something that would last us a long time. The stroller is sturdy, and great on trails. The front wheel does get stuck once in awhile. Our biggest grief with the stroller is that it is very bulky. It does not fit in ALOT of car trunks. I would make sure it fits in your trunk before buying! Also I wish the little view pocket on the top could stay back.. maybe with some velcro and the brake was easier to undo with your foot.

  157. Kristy on April 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I agree with the other bad reviews. The handle on the carseat are impossible to put down on the first try. The front wheel has a complete mind of it’s own. I hate folding it…always takes more than one try. And it’s takes up what seems like the whole back of my Explorer. Would not recommend to a friend and would not purchanse a baby trend product again.

  158. Maddie's Mom on April 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

The front wheel has always shook, even after my auto mechanic took a shot at getting it on right. The cover to the car seat won’t stay on. Stroller takes up the entire back area of my mid size SUV. It isn’t very plush looking like other seats on the market either. It does fold easily, but doesn’t get very compact. The handle of the infant seat really won’t go down and if you leave it up you can’t see the baby in the car mirror. You have to squeeze the two handles at exactly the same time and just right to make it work. THE LAST STRAW was tonight when I figured out that if I put my hand between the straps on my daughter’s chest and the baby herself after tightening it and exerted a small amount of pressure, it loosened. I kept wondering if my husband was losening those straps and he denied it…guess he wasn’t kidding! If we were in an accident she would go flying!

  159. Filli's Mom on April 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this because my cousin suggested an all terrain stroller. I’m glad I did. It is fabulous! It isn’t any heaver than any of the rest of them that I could tell. It is a bit difficult getting the carrier handle down, however, if you are willing to take the time to WD40 it works fine. My daughter LOVES this car seat. We got it when she was born and she still uses it now at 6 months. She is almost out of it, but we will use it for the next one too.

  160. NENA on April 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I got this for my friend who just had her first baby, and I was ultimately impressed. We put it together in 20 minutes and I was happy to see it was light and easy to maneuver. The only issue was that the buttons were a bit hard, but other than that it’s a great stroller.

Good product for outside activities and a safe ride for our new little one.

  162. Tyler's Mom on April 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I was drawn to this jogger because it had the carrier – I wanted to be able to go walking/jogging ASAP after my son was born so I could get rid of the excess baby weight. I also recently used it without the carrier (son is almost 1 and doesn’t need to be in carrier for stroller anymore) for a 5 mile walk.
The front wheel gets snagged/stuck and the entire stroller convulses so you have to slow/stop until it recovers. I’m amazed at people who say they take it on trails because I have been on roads with a tiny bit of rough/uneven pavement and it starts to shake! Once it starts, it seems to continue again & again (walked for 30 minutes with no problems, and then it started & kept shaking every 5-10 minutes for the next 30 minutes).
I would look into spending the extra money on a better jogger. And, you really don’t need the jogger with the car carrier – it was rare that I actually used it in the 1st 6 months, and after that you can use a regular stroller.

  163. always on the go mom on April 28th, 2009 at 12:00 am

this stroller does an ok job overall, its not great by any means, but if your budget isn’t huge it’ll get the job done. one of the reasons we bought it was because our graco car seat fit into it, we only used the one it came with as our extra car seat for the pickup. we have had alot of the same problems others have written about, if you are a serious jogger this probably is not the stroller for you. for us on the ranch, in town, going to work, for the daycare, this stroller has worked very well. i don’t think it was made to take a beating (no matter what is claimed) there are some things that need improvements, as with any product. if you really want to buy this stroller either because it fits your budget or you just like the looks of it, then spend the extra $ for a warrenty and then IF something happens your covered. we don’t have pros or cons for the stroller, its done the job we required it to do for the price we paid.

  164. Outdoorsy Momma on April 28th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I got this stroller/carseat combo because it was all-terrian…however I’m not a fan. The stroller is just ok, the front wheel has a mind of its own, the tires always are low and it is VERY bulky to try to haul with you…and thats the good news.

The carseat on the other hand is worthless. Who ever built the “puzzle piece” buckle must not have children. It is quite the task to buckle my son into the carseat when he’s still let alone moving. Also, the the padding doesn’t stay in place, the handle is hard to use and my seven month old is already out growing this seat.

We are stuck with this product because we can’t afford a new one right now, but I hope others make a better choice then we did.

  165. Mom on April 28th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Great product. I love it! I haven’t had wheel problems, and it fits fine in our trunk and our car isn’t huge and we still have room for groceries. The handle on the car seat is a little tough, but just give it a little wiggle and it’s fine. It’s just as heavy as the other strollers out there so I don’t know why others are complaining. I am very happy with this product.

I really love this stroller. I did have one situation where the front wheel was shaky but it was because I had too much air in the tire. AFter I let some air out I had no problems. I have mostly used this for roller blading with my son. My husband also loves this stroller to take off of the paved trails at the park. He calls it his off roading stroller.

  167. Carmen's mom on April 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This it the only stroller/jogger I had for my daughter, so it was our everyday stroller. It did it’s job. Even though it was big, & heavy. Just a couple days ago I took it out of my car & I couldn’t fold it up. Somehow it broke, I guess I folded to up & down too much. Odd for a stroller!! It lasted for almost 16 months!!
Time to buy a stroller not a jogger!!

  168. ballpark mom on April 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love the stroller, I got it as a gift with my third son. We are a family on the go. We have drove it over all terrains and have not gotten stuck yet. (even sand) I wanted a jogger because of the big tires, I have seen people carrying their children in their stroller that is not for me. The only draw back to this one is the real estate it takes up in the back of the van, but totally worth it.

  169. Silas'Mommy on April 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband and I love this stroller. We tested out a ton of travel systems and liked this one the best. We dont have the wheel problem that others have talked about. Also it fits fine in our trunk and we dont have a huge trunk. Its a really smooth ride and we would buy it again in a heart beat.

  170. Busy mom of 3 on April 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Even though this stroller looks comfortable, stylish and easy to use, trust me, its NOT! I used it for the first time yesterday and struggled just closing it to get into the car and opening it once I got to my destination. It’s akward, heavy, and just NOT practical!

  171. Kylees mama on May 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I hated this carseat. The handle would never go down with out alot of force. I am not a weak woman but struggled and would get so mad and frustrated with the handle.
The stroller tire wobbles and shakes when not even walking that fast. It is not very compact.
By the time my daughter was 4 months she sat in the stroller with out the carseat so the whole system thing really didnt matter. Would totally by system! Also she is now 14 months and the front tray on the stoller is to high. My husband took the front tray off when she was 6 months old and we still can not put it back because it is mouth level. I would not reccommend this to anyone!

  172. Andi on May 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

This works well for me and my daughter. I utilized both the car seat and the stroller right away. Our daughter came home from the hospital in the car seat and I used the stroller with the car seat the following week to go for a walk.

The handle on the car seat can take a little muscle and patience to adjust, but that is the only thing that I have an issue with.

  173. working mom on May 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

this travel system has a smooth ride when the front wheel doesn’t have a mind of its own! The seat cover doesn’t stay on all the time and the handles are hard to put up/down. It is bulky and a little heavier than your regular stroller but I prefer the rubber wheels over the plastic ones it gives it a smoother ride! It’s easy to open and close the carriage no problems there! It does take up alot of room in my crossover suv. I love to bring my 2 month old daughter for walks so I deal with the small issues to have a much better ride for my little one!

  174. First time parents on May 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We are first time parents that thought we made a good choice on a travel system. Very disappointing! To start the carseat is hard, pretty much no cushion, you can feel the cold air come in from the back where the straps go thru, the straps twist, the buckles are hard to use. The handle will not release without a fight, and when it is in the upright position it wiggles. The infant head support leaves a lot to be desired. Over all, I don’t think it is the best carseat a parent could buy for that price range. Now onto the stroller. The stroller is a bit more appealing, but has its share of troubles. It is hard to put together, the tires don’t hold air the best. When stopping and trying to push pull the stroller to keep baby in motion, the front wheel will twist and can cause the stroller to tip. We have not used it for the jogging side as of yet due to weather. Hopefully all goes well. My main complaint is with the way the stroller is constructed. The canvas used and the stitching are not at all good. We have only used it a handful of times with no car travel, and the thing is already ripped. We take pride in our things and are not rough on them so there is no need for it to be ripping after only a few uses. This leaves a bad taste in our mouths. If you do decide to get this product good luck, I hope you have better luck than us. All in all it looks nice but won’t hold up to some of the other travel systems on the market.

  175. Kate on May 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really don’t understand the negative comments about this system. We had no trouble at all adjusting the handle on the car seat or removing it. We didn’t have any trouble folding the stroller, adjusting straps… everything works great! Regarding the size… I’m not sure if people realize this, but the wheels are quick release, and it does make a difference in reducing its size. It takes like, two seconds to get the wheels off and back on again. We do have a small SUV, but we have other things in the trunk area too and it fits fine. I highly recommend this travel system! I particularly like the fact that the handle to push it is adjustable, which is especially important when jogging to prevent injuries to wrists and arms from improper positioning.

  176. New parents in SB on May 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

While the price point is good, its not worth the two major design/production flaws. The carrying handle that is supposed to move out of your way with an easy compression of two buttons on either side doesn’t. The buttons are a bear to push, so the handle doesn’t move. We have tried everything recommended with no luck. As for the stroller, the front wheel in the unlocked position wobbles like the wheel is going to fall off. It’s fine in the locked position, but that makes maneuverability limited. I again have tried all the trouble shooting suggested with no success. I even took it to a bike shop and their opinion was poor design and execution.

As for Baby Trends customer service, well it’s almost non-existent. Endless time spent in they’re voice prompt system, often never able to speak to anyone, or even leave a message. When I did leave a message and even an e-mail through their system, neither one received a reply. If our use of this wasn’t going to be so short lived I would send the whole thing back.

Also note, that even though the car seat is one of the top-rated for crash safety, B.O.B doesn’t make a converter for it.

  177. Selma on May 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I fell in love with this stroller the moment I saw it. I felt that it looked user friendly, safe and stylish for my little guy. Assembly was easy (my husband who is pretty handy assembled it fairly quick). Few things about this travel system that I found challenging:
Car Seat: Handle of the car seat was not very user friendly. I found it quite hard to adjust from top to bottom positions. It definitely takes a muscle to adjust it.
Stroller Appearance: We found a hole a size of a quarter on the mesh part of the basket located underneath the seat. It really didn’t bother me too much so we decided to keep it vs. requesting a replacement.
Stroller front wheel: First time I took it out for a walk the wheel became very loose after about 30 minutes of walking. It was extremely uncomfortable for me to push it as the whole stroller was shaking uncontrollably. My little guy “LOVED IT” – he was sound asleep. My husband took a look at the wheel and read assembly instructions again which were not very clear. We contacted one of our friends who also owns the exact same travel system and he explained that there was a screw behind the plastic part located above the wheel which required tightening (I found it extremely confusing). They experienced the same issue. It took few minutes for my husband to tighten it appropriately and we have not experienced this issue again.
Overall, I really enjoy this travel system. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.
PS. Stroller is a bit heavy so lift it a few times prior to purchasing it to see if you find it comfortable to lift in and out of your vehicle. I think it weights about 27 lbs. Good Luck.

  178. Liam's Mom on May 19th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use the car seat everyday, of course. The stroller is truly convenient and I don’t have to worry about two front tires going in opposite directions. I have difficulty with the car seat handle because it tends to stick. I have to pull it forward, push in the buttons and then push the handle back. It only proves to be a hassle if the baby is screaming. My only major concern is that I have only had the system since December and one of the tires on the stroller has gone flat because the inner tube ripped. Otherwise, I love the system.

  179. I Feel Scammed on May 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We have had just a terrible time since we started using this stroller.

It has two huge design flaws:
    1) The handle is extremely difficult to get down. You have to wiggle and squeeze and re-squeeze the buttons and finally, you might get it down.
    2) The second big design flaw is that the front wheel wobbles like crazy when not locked. I actually had to put my son on the back two wheels at the end of my 30 minute shopping trip to get him back to the car. It can be fixed if you tighten a screw, but I shouldn’t have to bring a wrench with me everywhere I go or disassemble and reassemble the product out in public.

  180. First time Mom on May 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought the travel system and ever since then, I have had problems with it. The handle on the carseat is so hard to get down, even my husband has a hard time with it. And the handle design does not make it any easier to carry, it makes it harder.

As for the Stroller, we took it for a walk around the block and about every 30 sec. the front wheel would just lock on us. With thought maybe it was just a one time thing. Then we took it to the zoo and kept doing the same thing. My husband tried to loosen the wheel, (thought maybe was to tight), and the front wheel feel off. The whole time we where at the zoo, we were messing with the stroller.

This may look like a good deal, but don’t waste your money. It is worth it the buy something maybe for a little more.

  181. Jacks mom on May 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I never write reviews but my advice is NOT to buy this thing. The front wheel wobbles when you walk and if you lock the wheel you have to lift the stroller to turn corrners. The thing doesnt fold-up either. The infant carrier is fine.

  182. coltsmommy on May 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

i bought this stroller/car seat combo because i wanted the jogger stroller. at the time, only 8 months ago, there really was not many options. the stroller by itself is ok. the front wheel shakes alot for no reason and we have had to fill up the tires with air on more than one ocassion which makes it a bit of a pain. the car seat i thought would be great. but my son seems to be uncomfortable in it. it really doesnt have much padding or head support. we have the latch system in our car and with the car seat latched in it still seems to be loose. i have tightened it as much as i can and it still seems a little too loose. but we have had it checked out and it passed the test. all in all its ok but im planning on buying something better when the next baby comes along.

  183. mom on May 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I hate the car seat and the stroller. The handle on the car seat is extremely hard to get to go down. I have given up on even tryin and I leave the handle up all the time. The wheel on the front end of the stroller pulls and is all over the place. I would not recommend this stroller to anyone.

  184. karen on May 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller because like all moms i wanted to jog. I only bought it 4 months ago and the front wheel is broken!!! This is the worst stroller i have ever had and i would never buy this or recommend it to anyone.

  185. Jume Mommy on May 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Great System for anyone that does a lot of walking on uneven terrain. Much better than any plastic wheeled stroller. The three wheel option is great for everyday use as well as outdoor uses. Folded up it’s a bit bigger than others but it easy to fold and unfold. Great carseat too.

  186. 2nd time mom on May 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

THe stroller and the car seat have their problems! The car seat would be fine if you could put the handle up and down. It takes all my strength in my hands to push the buttons in and be able to more it up and down. THe Stroller would be fine if the front wheel worked. I have used this only a couple times and my husband has to tighten the fron wheel before I use it every time. Then half way through my walk it will come loose again. THe wheel vibrates back and forth so bad that the baby inside it gets shoved around. I would not recommend this to anyone! THere are much better products out there.

  187. tutumommy on June 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We registered for this with our first baby without doing a lot of research. We liked that it had the swivel lock wheel and could be used as a jogger or as a regular stroller so we would only need the 1. But in practice, it was very bulky when folded. With the infant seat in it, it seems very unstable. It can tip easily if on a hill. The carseat is fine, but not as comfy looking as some of the others. The stroller is probably fine for toddlers but I got rid of mine and bought a chicco which I really liked.

  188. Mom on June 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Do not buy this product. The infant carrier handle is so hard to get up and down, I can barely do it and I end up leaving it up. It is awful on the hands. I bought this product after only a few reviews were out, I see there are more now and the bad reviews are right. I have not had tire trouble with it being lose, but they did both in the back lose air after one 2 mile walk.
The basket is hard to get to, it barely fits in the back of my SUV and it’s heavy to lift. I wish I could return this awful product, the infant car seat handle is the worst part for me.

  189. CoastieWife on June 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have some problems with the stroller. The handle on the carseat jams up, it was okay at first but now it’s impossible to get down. It’s very heavy. The actual stroller isn’t very comfortable, the straps are very thin making them uncomfortable. I’m going to find some kind of strap padding for all three straps, both shoulders and crotch. It’s also very bulky and barely fits in some trunks. Besides that I do like it, I’ve taken it on every kind of terrain including the beach. It folds up very well too. It’s not bad though. Oh and my son is a preemie and the carseat fit him great it was actually too tight on the smallest setting and he came home around 4.5 lbs.

  193. MommyVargas on June 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I would definitely buy this stroller again. We only use it as a jogger which is good because it is pretty heavy and hard to put in the trunk. But other than that I have a pretty easy time taking it on walks or runs; and my son seems to like it. Great shocks!

  194. Jogging mom on June 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This travel system/jogger wouldn’t be bad if the front wheel didn’t shake. It is awful you have to lock the front wheel in place so that the baby doesn’t shake and sometimes the wheel spasms so bad that I have to stop walking and straighten it out, that is the worst part of the jogger.
I don’t think it is to heavy I have small suv and it fits fine in the back. The car seat handle can be a little hard at times but nothing to bad.

  195. curly momma on June 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this travel system because I liked the idea of the jogging stroller. I can take it on any terrain and haven’t had a problem. The handle on the car seat is a little difficult to get used to and sometimes it can be a pain but I am getting used to it. You kinda have to pull and press the buttons and then it moves. My 3 month old daughter loves the seat. I like how easily it clicks in and it fits into any high chair(without having to flip it upside down which scares me) and it fits into many shopping carts. I think it is a great buy!

  196. new mom again on June 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I purchased this same travel system, just in a different color in October 2007. I love, love, love everything about this carseat, especially:

The triangle shaped handle that made it much easier to carry than traditional carseats.
The carseat base was very easy to install and stayed secure the whole year I used it.
The seat was easy to remove from the base.
The knob on the back of the carseat used to adjust the straps was so convenient and easy to use.
I used a carseat pad in the beginning as my son weighed just under 7 pounds. He weiged 22 pounds at a year at still fit nicely in the seat.
I used the carseat with the Baby Trend Snap and Go frame and love that as well.

I didn’t use the stroller until my son was almost a year. I’ve used it for about 8 months now and love the parent tray and the decent sized basket. It’s also easy to maneuver. It’s sturdy, but not too heavy. I have had trouble with one wheel staying inflated and the seat now seems to be broken at the top part where you pull the nylon string to adjust it. I am constantly pulling it to keep my son in the upright position and the seat also seems to have sunk with his weight (26 pounds). Separately I would give the carseat 5 stars and the stroller 3. It’s been functional but I am looking for another stroller with a better seat. I would still recommend it to another as it is a quality stroller system.

  197. Nanny on June 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The car seat handle is awful. Mine didn’t even start off working right. The stroller is ok, but it’s got it’s problems too. It’s still pretty big even when collapsed, and it just barley fits in my trunk, and my trunk is tall. The straps are also thin and flimsy, especially compared to the car seat straps.

  198. Jill on June 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My daughter is now 3 weeks old and I’ve used the stroller with the infant seat as well as used the infant seat in the car. Overall, I like the practicality of the travel system. The seat snaps into the stroller very easily and also works very well with the car seat base. The stroller provides a very smooth ride too and is very comfortable for both my husband (6 feet) and me (5 feet)to push.

Things that aren’t so great about it:
    1. The front wheel sometimes has a mind of its own, especially when trying to pull the stroller in reverse. I sometimes have to stop and straighten it out.

    2. I wish the infant carrier attached to the stroller in a more reclined position. My baby is sitting almost upright when I attach the carrier and since she is very small, her head flops to either side, even with the head pad. I have to roll up a receiving blanket to give her added support, but the position is still not ideal.

  199. Maxwell and Hannahs mom on June 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

It’s great for jogging and uneven sidewalks.Folds up and down easily. The baby falls asleep every time in car seat, whether in stroller or car. Good cup holders(2)and covered pocket for cell phone and keys on handlebar.
But, it doesn’t fit in the trunk, the front tire doesn’t want to turn sometimes, the basket isn’t very big and the car seat is really heavy with baby in it. Overall, it’s best in it’s price range.

  200. Rach on June 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love the baby trend travel system. My son is 12 1/2 weeks & is almost ready to be moved up to the next notch on the car seat. Words of advice: baby is at a good age to pick him up and carry him where you go because he is heavier now. We find that nice because of spending time with him. Not unless, you just need the stroller.

If you want a good price and an overall good quality, this is nice to have. I knew the stroller would be heavy and I knew the stroller wouldn’t fit in my back seat (sportrac ’07) All you have to do is look at the measurements before purchasing this product.

The only thing I would say that is aggrivating: this stroller is under the “jogging” feild but I can’t even get into high speeds of walking without the front tire shaking horribly. I am going to call and see what the manufacturer will do about this. If nothing, we will keep tightening the chrome lever on the front tire. No biggy. Just have to go fast walking or jogging without him. πŸ˜‰

Easy to use, very handy for going on walks. Folds up/down nicely for quick access in and out of car.

    Would purchase for another grandbaby.

I read the reveiws for this product over and over, I finally went to the store to check it out for myself because there was such a mix. I can see what the people are talking about with the handle sticking (this happen on the display at the store) and not folding AS easy as it should. However I bought it anyways. I Have not had any problems with the handle or folding. I LOVE the stroller and I LOVE the carseat. It is a little heavier then most carseats but nothing major. Also I read a reveiw on the space it takes up in the trunks of their cars. I have to say I have a 2009 Nissan Altima and it fits just fine in my trunk with some room to spare. Not to go shopping all day but enough room. I would recommend this stroller to everyone who plans on useing the stroller offen and for a while.

  204. Carlton's Mom on June 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I wanted a “jogging” stroller because I do a lot of walking and didn’t want two stroller, travel systems in the house. So no matter what, I was going to be buying a jogger stroller and there are not many too choose from. I had read the comments about how much room it takes up in the trunk and bought it any way thinking my 99 Chevy Malibu could handle it. It’s a large sedan. BUT it’s a very tight fit to get it in and out of the opening of the trunk. I really have to angle the stoller to get the big front wheel inside the trunk. But I knew what I was getting in for when I purchased it. As for grocery shopping with that thing in the truck, I can only get a couple of plastic bags around the sides of it in the trunk, the rest of the groceries have to go in the back seat. Kind of a bummer. I think it’s a good stroller. It took a long time to figure out that there is a safety lock on the thing when it’s closed to prevent it from accidently opening. That was not included in the instructions on “how to open stroller.” It was located in the manual elsewhere which I thought lame. But once my husband showed me that “trick”, I could get the hang of opening it up pretty easily.

We bought this for the birth of our son due August 2, 2009. We are very pleased with the quality of the product thus far. We have not used it yet but like the fact that is has jogging stroller vs. a traditional stroller as we are active parents πŸ™‚ We are excited to see how it performs!!

  206. Crystal on June 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

first of all the car seat is really heavy heavier than others, the handle bar gets stuck so you cant easily pull back and forth, and the front tire wiggles plus its incovinient to pump air all the time in the tires!

Ok this is my third child and i wanted to get a jogging stroller so my fiance and I decided to go into look at this one a little closer. When we got there we did notice that when even walking on a regular floor with the front wheel unlocked it has a very bad wobble.Other than that i beleve it would be a great stroller

  208. on the go! on July 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

    – car seat handle is hard to move – it takes two/three good hard squeezes before the buttons move in otder to move the handle out of the way
    – Front Wheel has a mind of it’s own 1/2 of the time
    – Very heavy
    – Difficult Basket Access
    – Rides great on gravel (which is why we bought a jogging stroller)

  209. Mom of 3 on July 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Top five worst things about this stroller
    5. It doesn’t steer well AT ALL…especially on carpet.
    4. The wheel locks are a pain in the rear to unlock.
    3. The entire handle is broken. All the plastic parts came off. I have to say it makes it slightly easier to open (because truly it is very difficult).
    2. It tips over easily. Really, the stroller tipped over once. Thank GOD my baby was strapped in the carrier. Even without the carrier in it, still tips over way too easily. This alone is a great reason not to purchase this piece of junk but I thought I would add some of the other reasons.
    1. The company doesn’t even respond to email complaints.

I received this jogger as a gift for my shower. I loved the look of it, and initially loved the way it turned so easily. When I tried the jogger with my daughter in it for the first time at the mall, the front wheel jiggled so badly that the baby was vibrating in the stroller. It scared her so bad that she began crying. The only way to stop the wheel from wiggling was to lock the front wheel, but then you can’t turn the stroller. You have to actually balance on the back wheels in order to make a turn. What if you were jogging on a track with turns? The only way you can run with the stroller is to lock the front wheel and kog on a straight way. Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of ease of use? I don’t know many mile long straightaways to jog on in my area. In my opinion, if you wanted to just look at teh stroller you would be fine, but if you had to actually use it, it is terrible. I called Baby Trend and they told me the product was taken out of production and can no longer be purchased. Why then is it still on Babies r Us’s registry so that it could be purchased?
TERRIBLE PRODUCT with terrible customer service!

  213. Rich on July 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Our baby loves to jog in it and we even use it as a regular stroller in stores and out for walks because the Evenflo one we had was brutal to carry and just cheap. The handle is odd, but it isn’t bad (not great though).

Great if you want to job with a baby between 3-7 months because with other jogging strollers you can’t use them until the baby is older (baby front facing).

  214. TeacherMom on July 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We love this travel system. I registered for it and received it as a shower gift. My favorite thing about it is the handle on the carrier. The triangle shape makes it very easy to carry. We haven’t had any trouble out of ours. In the previous review it was commented that the front wheel was jiggly. Ours was like that when we first got it out of the box, but my husband put more air in the tire and tightened the screws a little and it doesn’t wobble anymore. The only thing I have to say negative is that the basket at the bottom doesn’t really hold very much. The diaper bag takes up the whole thing. I had a very big baby so now at 3 months old he weighs 16 pounds and we are already starting the search for a convertible car seat. So if there is a chance you’ll have a big baby or already do, be warned that they may not last long in the carrier. Otherwise, we are glad we chose this travel system.

I was so happy to get this stroller for my baby shower! I guess I should have read reviews on it first. The front wheel does not turn very easily. I can barley walk with it let alone be able to run. The front wheel will catch alot and jerk real hard in the middle of walking. I think it almost gave my baby wip lash! I’m defiently taking it back, it’s like driving a car with no power steering fluid. Please don’t waste your money. Also the car seat that sits in it, sits too upright for a newborn. I wish it would lean back a little.

I agree with most reviews that the handle on the car seat is extremely difficult to get to release. I put some WD-40 in the hinges and it works much better now! The front swivel tire is wobbly but once you get walking it’s not too bad. My son is 3-months and I’m interested to see how it does once he’s not in the car seat and just in the proper stroller. We love love love the base and car seat combo. Overall – I think it’s a good one…

I decided to go to the store to test out this item before I purchased it (due to the iffy reviews), and I was really glad I did. I could not get the handle on the car seat to adjust to save my life…my husband was able to, but you would need really strong hands to get it to work. After several attempts, I finally asked the man who worked there if I was doing something wrong. He said, no this one is just really hard to move. He also told me that the stroller was difficult to fold. Instead he suggested buying the Baby Trend Jogger – Jet and the Baby Trend – Jet car seat. It ended up costing about $30 more because the stroller and car seat have to be purchased seperately, but the handle on the car seat worked much better. The stroller also folded easier and you are able to change the front wheel from swivel to stationary remotely (a feature that does not exist on the travel system models).

we purchased our travel system from Babies R Us in a nearby town (Fairview Heights, IL). i originally purchased a convertible car seat by Bauer that cost only $10 less than this entire travel system; however, after further consideration, having an infant carrier was a more attractive arrangement, so i returned to shop infant car seats. i was pleased to find this travel system at around the [$] price range, comparable to the price of JUST a car seat. i took the system off the slightly-off-ground display and pushed it around the store a bit until i was satisfied with it enough to head to the counter to that baby is born, we LOVE the carrier! i do think the handle was a bit stiff at first, but i like that its extra secure and even my 7 year old can let it down. my baby’s weight upon leaving the hospital was 6lb12oz and he fit PERFECTLY into the headrest and lock system. the strap adjustment is conveniently located in the very front of the carrier, allowing us to adjust it within seconds (unlike Bauer that needed to be flipped over, threaded, flipped back, etc). it fits my little guy as if he was a fighter pilot, strapped and ready for battle! i was pleased at how secure yet comfortable he was in it. we also love that the base straps in easily into the hinges of our backseat without a problem. we can easily snap the seat in, listen for the click, and go. no extra seatbelts needed. there is a red bar in the front that helps you to easily lift the seat naturally when pressing it upward. i admit, i read the instructions, so if you dont want to take the 5 minutes it’ll take to do so, you will find it frustrating trying to operate some of the functions. hubby and i assembled the stroller with ease. no tools, other than a phillip screw driver needed. we loved how easily the carrier snapped into the stroller, and released. again, we had to read the book to know how to do these things. since baby is still under a week old, i admit, we havent tried jogging with the stroller just yet, so i cannot comment on that experience. however, i will agree with those who have said the folding process is confusing. my hubby eventually figured it out, but even with the book, i was lost. also, when folded, it is still a bit bulky. but, what travel system (especially at this price!) isnt? otherwise, it is very stylish, mod, and convenient for us. we would recommend it to others.

After reading the reviews everyone has said I should really hate this travel system. But I don’t, I personally love it. I have experienced the wheel vibrating a couple times but not like everyone is saying. Yes the handle of the car seat does stick a little sometimes but overall it’s an awesome stroller. My baby was a big boy so he grew out of the actually car seat fast but unless you know your child will be that big it would be fine for an average baby. I wouldn’t trade the stroller in for anything. my son loves it too, he’s 5 months old and it helps him sit up with the 5 point harness, which I love and he loves to be able to see everything around him. I thought it was worth the money.

  221. disappointed customer on July 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The center of mass is wrong with the stroller and causes the front wheel to wobble and shake my babies head back and forth. This happens at a slow walk when turning and at a faster walk going straight. When the front wheel is locked in position for running it can not shake my babies head but who wants to walk around with a stroller that can’t turn? I don’t understand how this product made it into stores. Bad design and test engineers!

  222. pisco on July 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

there is nothing wrong with this travel system if the front wheel wont turn freely its too tight read the instructions
don’t put wd40 on the handle “hinges” as they are made of plastic and wd40 is a solvent which can dammage weaken plastic if you feel the need use silicone lube spray from the hardware store
how bout you just squeeze the red releases before you try to pull on the handle some common sence goes along way just because this system isn’t idiot proof dosn’t mean it isn’t quality
it is twice as strong as the next brand in price range and more features than most more expensive models we love ours *****

  223. mom of 2 on July 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I purchased this stroller because the thought of it being a “jogging stroller” appealed to me being home with the baby and wanting to go on walks for the summer. As far as walking outdoors with the stroller it is GREAT! there is nothing that it cannot navigate! Everywhere else however it sucks. It is very big and bulky, has trouble manuvering through small spaces, not easy at all to fold/unfold, takes up way too much room in the trunk and as far as the carseat itself, the straps are constantly getting twisted by themselves. I would not reccommend this stroller at all. The only person I would reccommend this stroller for would be for a “jogger” who drives a Lincoln Navigator or a tahoe or some other annoyingly large SUV with tons of trunk room.

  225. bkj on July 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have the stride model which is a step down from expedition but so far I have not had any problems other have. The car seat was easy to install with the latch system and is easy to get in out of the base. It does seem a little heavy but I have not compared it to others. I have not had any issues with moving the handle. The stroller rolls like it is on glass. Very very smooth ride on the street. I have not been jogging yet just have a 1 month old. I do use the kiddopotamus snuzzler thing to help keep her nice and snug and she always falls asleep when we go out and stroll or drive in the car. So far no issues at all to complain about.

  226. Liz on July 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

The car seat carrier bar is difficult to bring forward and down, and really hurts my fingers. The straps also get twisted which is dangerous for my child. Finally, the front wheel of the running stroller wobbles so much that it almost seems like the wheel is going to fall off. I returned the stroller once and got a new one, but the same issue happened the second time. I would NOT recommend this stroller system.

  227. Sandy, happy Nana on July 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Like the storage and the turning capability of this stroller – better than the four wheel models available when my children were small. Like the removable car seat as well – also something not available back in the sixtys.

  228. 1st time mom on July 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I would definitely recommend this system!! We have a 3 month old and absolutely LOVE this system. We almost got the Chicco system but decided on an “all terrain” tire instead–and boy am I happy we did! The stroller moves very easily, is easy to fold up and set up! Our son loves it! I have heard lots of complaints about the Chicco systems because you can’t remove the shoulder guards so kids don’t fit after a while–its also heavy from what I hear. I have recommended this stroller to lots of moms!

  229. mommy of one on July 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller/travel system. My husband is much taller than me, so we had to find a stroll which worked for both of us and this one fit the bill. It’s so easy to fold, use and turn/go anywhere. The one and only downside, is that it’s not lightweight, but we knew that going into it.

  230. JoggingMom on July 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is the perfect combination of function and features. As an active mom I really use my stroller a lot and it has held up to all of my abuse. I highly reccomend it.

  231. 4boys'daddy on July 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

3 reasons why I said NO.
1)Carrying handle is very tricky to fold down.
2)The wheel wouldn’t turn from one direction to the other (sticks) crashed into the aisle 2 times.
    3)Couldn’t get it to fold.
SCENARIO: Imagine getting this thing out of your car and fidgeting with this thing while your baby is screaming to the top of his/her lungs. These things are supposed to be convenient- not another obstacle.
Oh, and the guy who said we are IDIOTS because we have trouble with this stroller- is probably the guy who lost his receipt for a refund!

  232. New Mom on July 31st, 2009 at 12:00 am

Smooth riding stroller, seat is comfortable, handle on seat is easy to hold. Stroller is rather heavy which makes transporting it difficult. Buttons to move handle on seat are a little tricky at first but get easier. The only thing that I really dislike about the system is that the buckles on the leg straps of the harness are very awkward to engage- it seems like you need three hands to do it- and the only logical place for your thumb to go when engaging it is right on the release button. You do get used to it though and I would not let that deter me from buying it. Also, the cup holders could be bigger.

  233. Mama de David on August 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I absolutely LOVE this stroller! I’m 5’1″ and I find that it actually isn’t very heavy. Folding is NOT tricky at all, and getting it in and out of my car’s trunk is a breeze. If someone as petite as I could handle this stroller anyone can! :o) I love that it has a speaker adapter for listening to my IPOD!!! That is too cool! The baby loves it also. The ride is soooooo smooth… I could push the stroller with my pinky. I love the that it has actual tires, not those cheapy plastic wheels. It also comes with a pedometer AND an air pump for the tires. The ONLY thing I dont like, is that it DOESN’T come with a plastic cover for the rain… but I still LOVE it!

  234. open to everything on August 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Picked this system because a friend had the older model and loves it….major complaint is the “swivel” wheel. Upon opening, the clip that unlocks it was broken (small plastic piece), and the directions were not the ones that went with our stroller. Upon returning it we were told this is very common.

  235. sm1055 on August 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller sucks! We were excited about our first 3wheel stroller because they were not around when our first one was born. The car seat handle is extremely hard to put up and down and the straps get twisted. It is very bulky! The front wheel started to shake when walking from the first time we used it. If you lock the front wheel you can’t turn. Now, in the unlocked position the front wheel will only turn to the left and not the right. We have tried to fix it several times and have given up hope. We are now going to buy a new stroller because it is such a pain to take anywhere.

  236. First Time Mom on August 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The stroller is absolutely wonderful. Handles great, with a smooth ride. I have several family members who had purchased other travel systems with the smaller wheels, and they had many complaints of how bumpy the ride was. We live in a subdivision and walk daily on the sidewalks and road with no bumps. We have no complaints when it comes to this stroller or car seat. Folds up easy, and is also very easy to open. Also very high safety ratings.

  237. Mother to a 9 month old on August 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

    The car seat:
Heavy, seat cover does not stay on well, handle is very hard to hold.

Wheels hoped off the ground, HUGE stroller (not practical), flimsy tray, hard to open and close it always got stuck.

  238. Outdoors Mom on August 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Comments-Stroller was easy to assemble, somewhat sturdy.
The cargo basket is great, durable fabric & roomy, however this stroller is far from a jogger stroller. I’ve tried to jog, and the moment you pick up some speed other than walking, this stroller shakes so bad that it feels as if is about to eject my child out of it. This is not a safe product. If you like the look of it and you are not a jogger, buy this product. Otherwise look at other brands that may offer a safer and more usefull product. Far from what it should be!!!!!!!!!

I liked it because the expectant mother liked it.

  240. Megan on August 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have not experienced any problems or regret and we’ve been using this for over 6 months. I wanted something that was gender neutral, something that my husband would use and not feel embarassed pushing, and would be tough enough for our active lifestyle. At first I was a little hessitent to purchase this after reading the reviews of how heavy the seat was and about how the front wheel would shake when you walked. Then I looked into the safety ratings and figured my baby was worth it.The triangle designed handle makes it easy to carry, switch grasps and is also wide enough to slip under your forearm comfortably for those long distance treks. Any carrier with a 15-20 lbs baby in it is going to be heavy! As for the front wheel on the stroller, it only shakes if you walk fast or run. There is a red lever that you lock into place (takes longer to bend over than it does to lock) that you use for fast walks or running to avoid that shaking. We have a lot of cracks and uneven sidewalks in our neighborhood and the four wheeled plastic strollers hit them and stop, with this stroller we jump right over them! It’s great for “off-roading” too! This thing can turn on a dime and it “stands” when closed! The rear wheels can come off and the handle folds down to help make it more compact.I LOVE this system! I would suggest going to a store and push around all of the models that you are interested in. […] Also, look at the car seat that comes with the system, some are different than the one that you can purchase seperatley. Include your significant other and caregivers, they have to use it too!

  241. MomOLicous on August 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I’ve never really used a stroller before… but if you want your newborn to experience theme park rides, then go for a stroll in this stroller!! IT SUCKS!!! I’ve tightened the front wheel 4 times but the last time I striped the bolt treads. Its horrible… I just wish I knew before I wasted the money.

  242. vernette the active mom on August 19th, 2009 at 12:00 am

  244. Mom on the run on August 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I live on a back country road and this stroller handles the roads so well!! I also wanted a stroller I could start running with as soon as possible and this stroller is perfect. I didn’t have to wait for my baby to be 6 months before I could use a jogging stroller, because with this stroller his car seat clicks right in. I do have to have this stroller is also very easy to use in tight places like shopping, it can turn on a dime. This is the only stroller I own. The only complaint I have is the handle on the car seat sticks a lot, it doesn’t move as smooth as I would like.
