We bought this stroller because of the swivel front wheel. We assembled it and found out 2 of the 3 wheels had issues; after pumping in air, the wheels had pumps on them. We have tried it on any terrain, but we are disappointed by the quality of baby trend.

  2. Utah Mom on January 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have had last year’s model (with the fixed front wheel) for about 4 months. I use it with my 2 yr old & new (now 3 month) baby. It is a wonderful stroller! Especially for the cost. It turns easily if you have even wimpy arm muscles. Even with kids 20+ pounds difference, the weight is distributed evenly. I do a lot of walking & running with the kids on all kinds of terrain (flat sidewalks, canyons, and pretty much whatever you can imagine) & never had a problem. I don’t feel the bumps & the stroller glides over much easier than my single travel system stroller ever did.
The reclining feature worked perfectly to help it accomodate my 7 lb. newborn (of course I do use it with the BundleMe to help add padding & keep him warm).
The one place for improvement would be if they could make it fold even a little slimmer. The big jogging wheels are GREAT and it folds up super easy! I have a midsize sedan & I have to take the front wheel off (which is easy to do & to reattach) to fit it in my trunk, which it then takes up the whole thing. Great for going on trails, but not made for shopping.
If you are looking for a jogger to look chic as you shop, this is NOT it. If you are truly into exercising, running etc. with your kids, this is THE best deal for the money! All the other joggers I compared – that were equal in quality (in my opinion) were the BOB and such and considerably more expen$ive. Defintely check out the older model of this stroller – I think it is on clearance on here!

I bought this stoller after my second child was born. I am not a jogger yet, but wanted something that I could take for brisk walks-light jogs. I didn’t want to spend $500 on something I wasn’t sure how often it would be used.

I think this stroller is perfect for our needs! Both my 4 month old, and 19 month old are very comfortable during our walks. I find it really helpful that one seat can recline, while the other sits up. Great so the baby can sleep, while his sister enjoys the scenery. Also, the speaker (which fits IPod and Sirius Stiletto) in the canopy is SUCH an awesome feature. My daughter dances along to the music during the whole walk. I feel like my children are secure with the 5 point harness, rather than just a lap belt.

The only complaint I have, is there is not a hand brake. But there is a wrist strap for you to wear, that is attached to the stroller, so it cannot get away from you. I think for the price, it is a steal!

I really was excited to jog with this stroller. I love how nicely it folds up. It’s not as bulky as my single jog stroller was. It glides really nice and the swivel wheel is great!! However, 2 of the wheels are defective. I have to return it today. As soon as I started to jog the whole rear axle shook and scared me and my children. It seems to be fine when walking but jogging not so good. Which doesn’t really fit the name. Thanks but no thanks baby trend.

I recently purchased this stroller for my almost 4 year old and my 9 month old. I had the Baby Trend Deluxe Sit and Stand and HATED it. It was impossible to steer b/c it was so narrow. We were going on vacation and I was fed up w/ the Deluxe Sit and Stand and on a whim bought this stroller. I was hesitant b/c it is wide, but I have to say I LOVE this stroller. My 40 lb. 4 year old loves it as well. He can get in and out on his own and can even sit on the front wheel cover and it can still be maneuvered w/o any problems. It is like pushing air. We had it through numerous airports, all over rough terrain in Central America and even folded up and put in the closet of a cruise ship room. It folds up quite small (which is huge) and opens and folds very easily. I can’t say enough good about this stroller. I even use it as a single b/c it pushes so easily. A must have for people w/ children spread out in age.

  6. Mom of 2 in Miami on January 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I just purchased this stroller and I have to say for the money it was a great investment. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and they both fit confortably in the seats. I love the fact that you can plug your ipod in the hear the music through the stroller’s speakers. This is especially nice for my kids because they love to hear music.

The stroller is VERY smooth and handles easily. I run with both kids and our dog and I am able to maneuver the stroller with no problems.

the only down side I find is that the 5 point harness is a little tight for my 3 year old (he is kind of tall) but I just pulled the straps out of the fastener and he was ok.

Great purchase and well worth the money.

My 22 month old twin boys are 30 pounds each and their regular side-by-side stroller was just too difficult to push. I tested this double jogger out in the store and fell in love with it. It is so easy to push, and turns on a dime, even with one hand. It also fits through regular doorways easily. It doesn’t fold completely flat, but I really don’t mind. I just needed a new double stroller that is easy to push my heavy twins. Highly recommend it.

  8. Brandi (mom of two) on February 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller! I have two boys, ages 3 and 1. I have a sit and stand tandem stroller also and I definitely prefer this one. I tried to walk around our neighborhood with my tandem and I about couldn’t make it so I purchased this one after seeing it in the store. The price is wonderful and the features are great. It has lots of pockets for storage. My boys didn’t want to get out of it. It rides so smoothly and pushes like a breeze. GREAT STROLLER FOR PRICE considering most people really can’t afford the pricier models!

  9. Mom of 2 on February 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We had a different double stroller in mind when we had our second baby 4 months ago but when we went to the store to look at them we were disappointed at the usual options for strollers. Then we happened to see this stroller and we immediately thought it looked great. We are not joggers, but we loved the durable look of the stroller and the easy handling it had in the store.
After having this stroller for 4 months now we are not disappointed at all! We take it to the mall, parks, everywhere and it is great! I love all the storage pockets and how easy it is to push. It cleans off easily and the seats can recline separately, which is a plus since my toddler doesn’t sleep in the stroller and my infant does.
We drive a scion xB (relatively small compared to an suv or something) and the stroller fits in the back without removing anything! The only thing I wish it had was a tray for the kids’ cups/snacks. Other than that we couldn’t be happier!

  10. Beth on February 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After spending weeks searching the Internet for a double jogging stroller, and bidding at on-line auction sites I became frustrated at the idea of finding the perfect double jogging stroller at the right price. But then around the holidays, I saw this stroller […] and was thrilled. I wanted a double jogging stroller for my 1-yr old twins (24 lbs and 22 lbs) that wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg! I use it for walking and jogging on asphalt, concrete and dirt paths and it works like a dream. I always use it on the swivel mode and have experienced NO problems whatsoever. It took only 20 minutes to assemble and it folds very easily using the quick trigger mechanism. It even locks in place when folded. It has plenty of storage space underneath, as well as a parent/cupholder tray that includes a little glove compartment (for a lack of a better phrase)that can hold a cell phone, keys, sunglasses, etc. The ratcheting canopy is great because it has a peek-a-boo window that comes with a “curtain” if the sun becomes too strong. And yes, the canopy also has an MP3 speaker. Additionally, the handlebar includes a wrist strap that is adjustable and the material on the handlebar is covered in a textured rubberized material so it will never tear and you will never lose your grip even if you are running in 98% humidity. KUDOS to Baby Trend for designing a top-notch double jogging stroller with a front swivel wheel that is affordable for working class families!!

I have a 9 mth old & a 3 yr old who love to be outside. I don’t jog but walk almost everyday. This stroller is so great! We drive to the park, go for a long walk, than go play, with all the nice storage, I can pack a huge snack for all of us! Another great thing about it (other than the price), is that if my oldest wants to walk, it doesn’t pull to one side when my son is sitting in it by himself. We just love it! very smooth ride too!

  12. Mom of 2 on February 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I just purchased this stroller a week ago and I really love it. I am not much of a jogger but I needed a double stroller for my 4 month old and 3 year old (he weighs about 34 lbs.) It was easy to put together and my 2 kids fit in it with no problem. My 3 year old has refused to sit in a stroller for over a year now but he was very excited to be able to sit “next to” his sister while we took a walk. It pushes and turns very easily and my kids love to listen to music as we walk. It was definitely a good purchase for the money!

  13. Mom of twins and toddler on March 8th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I searched long and hard for a stroller to replace my tandem infant stroller and this seemed to meet my requirements. It really was easy to put together, to maneuver and to collapse. This stroller is tons lighter than my previous, so weight was not an issue. You will need a bigger vehicle, however. Although, compared to other joggers, it folds fairly compact. I am not a jogger, just needed a stroller for my nine month old twins. The handling is great, however, this stroller does not fit through standard doors. So beware if this stroller is meant to serve as your main stroller. Luckily most establishments, where we live, have 36 inch wide doors. Baby trend put out a good product, just wish they consider narrowing the placement of the back wheels and look into the problem with the front wheel shaking occasionally for no apparent reason.

  14. mom of 3 on March 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This was the worst stroller , we had to take it back. The front wheel would shake so bad you couldn’t push the stroller. My husband checked and rechecked to make sure the wheel was put on correctly, but it still did the same thing. When we took it back to the store and exchanged it the new stroller did the same thing. Please if you want to keep you sanity, don’t get this stroller.

  15. Mother of 2 boys - 3 and 16 months on March 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller for walking along sandy roads and up hills. It distributes the weight of my two boys and is very easy to push. It is bulky so I would not recommend it for shopping, travel or crowded areas. I think the peg perego aria is good for those instances. I would 100% recommend this stroller to a friend.

  16. TIM on March 13th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My wife and I first hesitated to buy this jogging stroller when it first came out few months ago, because there was only one review and I did not know what the quality of it was do to the low price.

I had a chance to test it out at the store with my 8month and 22lb son in it. I pushed it around the store a few times and I loved the way it felt smooth in maneuvering the double jogging stroller. There are many other double jogging strollers out there but nothing felt this sturdy(does not wobble a whole lot side to side like some strollers), it is very easy to fold/open(if in need, you can take the wheels right out in a matter of a second without any tools), there are more than enough basket storage under the seat.

There are many other features that my wife and I love but it is too much to write about it. One very important thing that matters to anyone or eveyone is that does your children stay comfortable and safe in it and do they like it.

Through my personal experience with my kid, it was worth every penny purchasing this double jogging stroller from Baby Trend and I would not change a thing about it.

  17. Mom of 2 w/ 2 dogs on March 13th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I was looking for a jogger for my daughter who is 3.5 is 43 lbs and tall and for my son who is 2 months I also walk a lot and have 2 dogs we always walk with. I have had a Maclaren jogger and a Bob jogger along with Peg Perego side by side. My daughter is always to heavy to push and it is off centered. Not to mention having two dogs and it never worked out quit well. I read all of the reviews for the Expedition and found them very helpful. I received my jogger yesterday and tried it out right away. It was so easy to put together for starters.Once I filled up the tires I put my 2 month old in it and the seats recline so infants can use it. My daughter jumped in and there was ample room for her both height and width. The step thingy is wide which is really helpful. I took my 2 dogs and there was no problem trying to handle them and the stroller. Usually the stroller is too wide or too long to hand both the stoller and dogs but this seemed just right. The thing that sold me on it was how easy it was to push! I barely had to push it. You could not tell there was a 43 lb and a 12 lb on either side. The swivel is a must too! It handles so well. The canopy is nice and big and the cup holders for mom is perfect too. Not a problem yet! Easy to fold and unfold. Very solid to not flimsy at all. I would highly recomend to moms with children spaced out in age and weight and that have dogs too!

  18. Nat on March 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Searched for months for a double jogger with the swivel front wheel with a large weight limit!! Needed a double for a 55lb 4 year old and a newborn (for the many trips to Disney)! This is by far the better of all the stollers we tested – even better than the high dollar brands. Handles like a dream even with the huge difference in weight on each side. Can be pushed and turned with one hand!! Lots of headroom for taller toddlers! Can’t say enough good things about this stroller! The only problem we have had we can’t seem to be able to get an MP3 speaker from Baby Trend that acutally works!! Replaced theirs with another brand!

  19. KellyK on March 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After doing tons of research on double joggers we decided to go the more cost-effective route and get the Expedition. We own the single Expedition jogger and were pleased with it. We experienced the shaking that has been mentioned and were able to eliminate the problem by locking the front wheel. It seems that once you inflate the tires there’s a knob under the front foot plate that hits the inflated wheel when the jogger goes over bumps. However, if you lock the wheel the knob goes up to allow more room. I also emailed BabyTrend about the problem.

All in all, the jogger has been great for bumpy sidewalks and hiking paths. I like how the seats recline to accomadate my 4-month-old as well as my 2.5 year old. The sun shade is excellent as it allows you to move it to fully cover the little ones. I also like the built-in handlebar tray and cupholders.

  20. mom of 2 in 14 months on March 19th, 2008 at 12:00 am

we take it everywhere – keeps my 2 month old safe and my 16 month old contained (safe too). I wanted a side by side double since they were so close and also a jogger, but not interested in spending a fortune on other brands. then i found this with a swivel wheel – perfect! some doors are a tight squeeze, but it fits nicely through most

  21. Mom of 2 under 2 on March 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We recently purchased this stroller and couldn’t be happier. This puts our stroller total to 4! By far this one is our favorite. We have 2 Gracos, Zooper Boogie and this one. I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old.
-I can hold my coffee with one hand and turn the stroller with the other. My boys love sitting next to eachother. I really like the mesh backing on the side of the seats especially for hot summer days. The adjustable canopy is great and provides the ulimate shade. The storage pockets are big, the parent tray has two cup holders. It is super easy to fold and lays flat.
-One of my concerns was the height limit. My 2 year old is 37 inches and fits perfectly in this stroller. I have a Graco Quattro Dou front/back and swore I would never use it again. We love this stroller. For the money I would recommend it to anyone. Great Job Baby Trend!

  22. Logan and Aidan's Mom on March 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Did a lot of research on this stoller before purchasing. I love it! Moves with ease except it is kind of big for some of the doors we go through. Other than that, there is tons of storage for the kids, my keys, and other stuff that comes with kids. I would recommend this stroller to anyone who is a busy parent on the go!

  23. Sharolette on March 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I just purchased this stroller and love it!! Alot of people complain about the front wheel wobbling when there outside. First of all if you read the instructions it says to LOCK THE FRONT WHEEL BEFORE YOU GO OUTSIDE. […]

  24. Lisa mom of 2 on March 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller. This is what I have been looking for, for 3 yrs now. I had at one point a double stroller that was back to back seating, and it was so hard to push and manuver, and so I decided to just give up on that stroller. Until I seen someone with the stroller of our dreams, and we asked were and within a coule of months saving, we went to purchase this, and we are so happy with this. My children are going on 4 and 3 yrs old, and they have picked which seats they want. And the price was very reasonable also. Thank you so much for making our dream stroller. Thank you again.

  25. Twin Beans' Mom on March 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Twins are expensive and I’m a careful spender. But one of my girlfriends picked up an older, previously-loved model of this stroller (with the fixed front wheel) for us to try and after using it for an afternoon I was in love.

Even though neither one of us jogs, ever, with as much as we walk we knew a good stroller would be worth the investment and Hubby gave me carte blanche to get whatever I wanted. At first I gravitated toward the Bob, Phil & Ted’s and Baby Jogger double models but couldn’t get over feeling sick at spending the money. Then we found this one. It had all the improvements over the older model I wanted– the swivel wheel, adjustable canopy so that the sun is NEVER is the babies’ eyes, no matter what time of day we’re out (I HATED the old one- practically useless) and I was nuts for the MP3 player hookup. I haven’t regretted buying this one for an instant and the girls are super-comfy in it. It glides along like a dream and I can turn it with one finger, even with groceries in the basket underneath and the dog tied to the handle. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the color but my happiness with all the other features far outweighs this little dissatisfaction.

I would (and have) highly recommend this stroller to any mom of twins or siblings close in age. I haven’t seen anything to beat the ease of use, comfort and value for the money.

  26. Mom of 2yr old and 8 month old boys on March 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Very happy with this stroller only downside is the shakey front tire when you start walking quickly – like crossing the street when cars are waiting for me. I know the recommendation is to lock the front tire outside but what’s the point of buying a stroller with a swivel tire if it cannot go outside. That’s what makes it so easy to push! I’m surprised that fewer people didn’t write about this. It is definitely a major design flaw and SHOULD NOT work that way. It feels like the whole stroller is going to snap in half when it shakes so violently and I’m scared that my kids might get hurt somehow. I can’t believe the company knew about it (based on another review that someone wrote about contacting the company) and still made it. Everything else I love…color, storage, size of sunshade, cup holder, ease of adjust straps and price! But I think I’m gonna contact them too to see how they explain this as a reasonable “function”.

  27. The Perfect Stroller on April 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is the perfect stroller for Disneyland. My husband and I bought it for my 6 year old and my 5 year old. Very roomy One child is 40 lbs and the other is 45 lbs. Talk about a life saver the front wheel swivels which makes it very easy to manuver and plenty of storage space. My husband liked that it folded flat and that the wheels were able to detach making it a lot easier to fit in the trunk of our car. You should definatly consider this stroller if you have kids who like to walk but tire very easy.

  28. michelle mom of two small boys on April 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I use this stroller for walking. It’s easy to maneuver, and very comfortable for both children. It also fit’s in doorways easily. I can’t wait to take it to the zoo, malls etc. I love it!

  29. Amy on April 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I was excited to get the stroller. I wanted the “new upgrade” feature of the swivel wheel. The problem? You can NOT use it in swivel if you are outside AT ALL or if you are walking at a fast pace of any sort! What’s the point of a feature you can’t use? It wobbles so badly it feels like the wheel will fall off. I tried adjusting the nut and see if that would help. It didn’t. As I was testing it out I had a tool box it the seat to put some weight in it and as soon as I had any kind of momentum the tool box fell onto the pavement! For [$] the product should work correctly! To top it off there is supposed to be a button on the handle to easily switch between swivel and locked. The stroller I received didn’t even have the button on it at all!!! So, I would have to stop the stroller, go around to the front reach down under the fender and switch between locked and unlocked that way!

  30. Little D on April 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I am 4’11 and my husband is 6’2″. We use the product at the store as a display. I want to see if we like it. We took it for a stroll for half hr. It did fit through the bathroom door and the stroller did turn very smoooothly. However, there are some downfalls. My daughter is 3’2″ for 3 year old, weigh 41 lbs. She is too big for the height along with my 9 mth old, 20 lbs. My concern of the investment of how they both react with the stroller. My 1st daugther love it because she can sit next to her sister, but she squeeze all over on my 2nd baby. Of course, she cried all the way. I assumed she was uncomfortable with her sitting next to her. The recling seat is horrible. It doesn’t go all the way up as it should be. The belt is so limit. There is no foot room for oldest girl. I don’t like the color itself, but the overall is not worth my money.

  31. Nanny of three on April 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller!! Can I just say that this is the best stroller I have ever used! It is easy to fold and open. When closed it fits nicely in the trunk of my small sedan…even if I don’t take the time to remove the back tires, which by the way come off easy with the push of a button on the side of each wheel. I know alot of other people have mentioned that the front wheel shakes, but I have not had this problem at all. It is a smooth ride for my two kids. This stroller has such great features, the ratchet canopy for one, which can be positioned to block out the sun in all direction. The canopy is large, and can even be positioned right in front of the kids to block the late afternoon sun. The baskets underneath are big and it even has one small pocket with a drawstring closure in the back of each seat…those come in handy for two sets of diffrent sizes diapers!! It is easy to recline the seats or position then at odd angles of recline with the adjusting strap behind each seat, each seat reclines independently. The tires are sturdy and create a very smooth ride. This stroller works just as well for the mall as it does for the rocky and rough terrain outside. All around I could not be any happier with this stroller. The price, the quality and the design are all a great reason to purchase this stroller. You cannot beat the price. You cannot beat the great features.

  32. Heather on April 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller because of all the positive things people have said about it. I agree!! I have 2 children…one who is almost 3 and the other just 6 weeks. They both fit great in this stoller. My oldest has enough room to move around and still be comfortable. It is easy to steer and manuever. I bought the rain cover but it doesn’t fit over the handle bar because of the cup holder tray. I think they designed this to fit without the cup holders in place. Other than that…great stroller!!

  33. disappointed mom on April 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Reviewed this stroller heard about the front wheel shaking, but decided to try it anyway. Was great around the block for a week really loved it until yesterday. My sister had our one year old and three year old (both petite children) in the stroller. She jogged to get across the street. The stroller began to shake and the front wheel fell off and the stroller flipped, luckily both children where strapped in. My poor sister also fell over and looked up to see both kids hanging upside down with cars coming toward them. With supper mommy strength she got the kids and stroller to safety. But will be returning this stroller ASAP.

  34. Parent of 2 on April 8th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I tested this stroller in the store and loved it!!! I then came home and did some more research and read all the reviews. I saw that the manufacturers age and recommended ages are 12-24 months… Knowing this I then bought the stroller… We love it. The price is great, the quality is great. The front wheel does swivel a little, but it’s not horrible. My 3 year old is a little tall for it, but then again that’s why they review it for 12 – 24 months!!!

  35. Susie on April 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller was so easy to put together. My two girls (8mo and 3yrs) absolutely loved it from the get-go! It rides like a dream over our upstate terrain. I was surprised how shallow it is folded up- it takes up much less space than you’d think. I have one issue related to my own lack of muscle: it is a bit heavy and bulky for me as I have to fold it to bring it in/out of the house and go up and down about 5 steps… sometimes I’m not sure where’s the best place to grab onto to make this easier. Regardless- it’s such a great buy I don’t care!

  36. Cooped up Mom on April 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Wow – I love this stroller!

I used the stroller for the first time this morning and was nervous about the shaking problem that others have reported. I didn’t experience any shaking – the ride was very smooth! My daughter is about 38 lbs. and my son is 48 lbs. so we are right on the edge of the weight limit and it still was very easy to push and turn. I even pushed the stroller up and down several fairly steep hills and it was doable. The stroller easily navigated curbs and tight turns. I even was able to push it with only one child and it didn’t seem to pull off center. I didn’t jog with the stroller but I did walk very fast – I didn’t have the front wheel locked so it was able to swivel. It is a mystery to me what the other reviewers were experiencing with the shaking – I wonder it their strollers where defective or if Baby Trend fixed a design flaw and I lucked out and got one with the the issue fixed??

I also have the Graco Duoglider double stroller and had to discontinue using it a year ago because I just couldn’t push both kids. I spent all my time fighting to keep it steering straight and it felt SO much heavier than this new Baby Trend Expedition.

Even if I can only use this stroller for a year or so (due to the weight limit), it will be worth every penny. We are heading to Disneyland again this year and needed a double that could manouver in the crowds. Disney doesn’t rent double strollers so last year we each pushed a single stroller – that was fine until I had to take on both strollers while my husband went on a few rides.

My only complaint would be the lack of a hand brake. When I did head down a very steep hill, it was a workout to hold the stroller back – luckily it has the wrist strap for safety but it would be much easier if there was a hand brake to slow the stroller down.

I am an avid walker and I do a bit of jogging on the side and I must say this stroller is an EXCELLENT addition and works wonders for my 2 year old and infant. I have a single jog stroller (Schwinn) and I find this one easier to maneuver and easier to handle. It folds nicely to fit in the back of my PT Cruiser and I still have room to put things. The speaker plays my daughter’s music and she sings while we take our stroll. I read other reviews before purchasing the product and they were right about the front wheel shaking when you go fast. How to fix it…lock the front wheel, you no longer have the problem. I couldn’t afford the bigger and better version and for what I paid, I am extremely happy. If you are a runner I would not suggest purchasing this product due to the front wheel although with it locked in place my husband has not had problems. The downside to locking it….you don’t have the easy turning that comes with an unlocked front wheel.

I absolutely love this stroller! I researched a lot of strollers before making the decision to buy this one. I knew I wanted side by side seating and this stroller had all the right features. There is plenty of storage areas, large baskets underneath the seat, pockets on the back of each seat, the parent tray, and it even has a little elastic mesh pocket on each side beside the children where my boys keep their cups and snacks. I was really happy to see that the seats are padded and do recline separately. The buckles are much easier to use than joggers I have had in the past and secure the children better as well. As far as the front wheel shaking when jogging, the wheel is supposed to be locked for that. Having a fixed wheel while at a faster pace is a SAFETY FEATURE. If you have a swivel wheel and are jogging and hit anything such as a crack in the pavement the wrong way it is possible for the tire to turn and cause you to lose control of the stroller. I bought mine for outside functions, not to jog though. I don’t think that there are any jogging strollers that condone jogging without the wheel fixed because it is dangerous. I read a review about the front wheel coming off, that will happen if it isn’t put on properly. I had a jogger previously that I had the same problem. Sometimes the stroller would even pull to one side but in the end it was my fault because I wasn’t putting it on properly before locking it into place. Once I figured out what I was doing wrong I never had another problem. This is an excellent stroller and I LOVE it. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I wish it were another color but the benefits greatly out weigh not liking the color.

I like this better than the double stroller that I was using when the kids were small. However, it had a flat on the second outing. The wheels are not really for use off paved paths and walks. They are too flimsy and bend easily, not to mention they go flat if you hit a rock, limb or bump from an angle. It was a long walk from the furthest reaches of the park with a flat wheel and two toddlers. Go for quality and spend a bit more if you are going anywhere other than your front sidewalk. The seat adjustments are terrible, very low end technology. The cup holders fall down every time you collapse the buggy for storage. Overall, just not a good product but will get you through if you only use it for limited use. You cannot hear the MP3 player – the speaker is too small. Unstable given the single front wheel. Heavy item, could use some redesign in materials. Wheels are different sizes which is a problem with flats.

I have owned a double jogger before (by Baby Jogger), but found it hard to turn it as I had to push down with all my weight to raise the front wheel first. After selling it and finding out we were expecting a third child, I bought this double jogger because of its swivel wheel. Before my baby arrives, I have been using it to take my kids to school. They are 6 and 4 years old (I know it is not recommended for older kids). It has been a breeze to push and turn and they love it. I admit that I have experienced the shuddering problem (twice this morning) while it was on swivel. It was loud and scary for my kids. I think it is related to how fast you go and wouldn’t be a problem if I slowed down or put the wheel on lock. So I wouldn’t recommend this stroller for jogging. I also wish it had a hand brake as it is heavy to hold going downhill because my kids are older. I don’t think it will be a problem when I have a baby and a 4 year old in it though. The IPOD speaker is a plus, however, the volume isn’t very high and I can’t hear it very well while pushing, but my kids can from inside. I LOVE the sunshade because it can move forward as a whole as the sun moves and I can pass things behind it to my kids if I need to. This stroller is a great bargain for the money.

I researched for a LONG time before buying this stroller. I wanted something lighter than my Quattro Duo, and something that would push easier. I also have a Combi double and really like it, but I wanted a jogger. There are many differences between different brands and so it took me a long time to decide. What I love about this stroller -The canopy goes all the way forward and the sun is never in their eyes.It is incredibly light and easy to push (which surprisingly some joggers are not!)The MP3 hook up!The cup/snack holder for kids! The parent tray! The swivel wheel- it says to lock it when jogging, but I have never had to because I have not experienced the shaking that some people do with the front wheel. Mine seems to work fine unlocked! It jogs very smoothly. It pushes straight with one hand even with kids of very different weights (a 3 year old and 6 month old)It fits easily, and takes up less space in my trunk (Camry) than my Graco Duo.There is ONLY two things that keep me from giving it 5 stars and that is-The handlebar should be adjustable for people of different heights (my husband is 6’6″, and I am 5’5″) I would like the divider between the seats to come a little higher (my 3 year old sometimes accidently elbows my 6 month old) I have to say that I am VERY happy with this stroller and I think it has the best features available for under [$].

  42. Diane-frustrated double stroller shopper on April 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have done so much research on double strollers, and even bought (and quickly resold) a tandem stroller, but nothing was quite what I needed. This stroller is awesome! I have a 11 month old and a toddler who’s almost three, and we take this stroller everwhere. I was hesitant to buy a side by side as I thought I wouldn’t be able to fit through doorways, but I haven’t had a problem anywhere. The kids love sitting next to each other and think it’s pretty cool to be able to listen to music as they ride. The storage baskets underneath the stroller are big enough for all our stuff, and the parent cupholder and compartment are a welcome addition. This stroller allows the kids to sit up straighter than any others that I tried out, and both seats almost fully recline too, a great feature for long outings or during naptime. The ride is so smooth and the stroller is ridiculously easy to steer, it really can be steered with one hand! Folding the stroller is a breeze, and while it’s still quite large when folded, it is surprisingly light. The stroller looks great too, not a big deal, but it’s nice to be hip and trendy when you hit the zoo or the playground. Needless to say, we are VERY happy with this stroller and will use it for many years to come!

I tend to be a bit obsessive about things for my children, so when I decided that we really needed a jogging stroller I think I might have researched them all. I also refuse to pay $400+ for any stroller. This stroller had all the features I could have wanted in a jogging stroller plus some more I wouldn’t even thought of. We got it yesterday and could not be more pleased with our purchase. I set it up (easy) and couldn’t wait for the kids to wake up from their naps so we could try it out. My children are 11mo. (about 20lbs.) and 2 1/2 (33lbs. and 38in.). Both fit beautifully with room to spare. The best was being next to each other rather than one in front of the other (as with the tandem). We started on our trial walk which included uneven city side walks and a few tight corners–the stroller didn’t flinch when taking the bumps and turned on a dime. I didn’t experience any wobbling of the front wheel (I walk at about 4mph). Then we locked the wheel and hit the park trail. The stroller practically walked it self. It was so effortless- which is sad because that means I’m not burning as many calories, lol. The best feature is the canopy. It doesn’t matter where the sun is, the kids are always protected. Best investment EVER! I even tried to put it in the trunk of my car and it fit without having to remove the wheels, although I’m not sure I’d fit anything else. The little snack bags built into the side of the seat are a great solution to not having the snack tray. I really liked the extra deep drink holder for me. It holds the tall water bottle with out it falling over all the time.

I don’t normally do reviews but since when I was looking to purchase this the reviews became very important. I was a little hesitant to purchase a double stroller since I have a 7 month old and a 2 and 1/2 year that is way up on the growth charts (40+ lbs and around 40 inches) and wasn’t sure how long we would use it but I did want something I could take walks/run around the blocks and use for those outdoor trips/vacations. I tried it at the store to make sure my older son had room to spare. I read all the reviews I could and after deciding to take my chance with the shaking I purchased it online […] First attempt out started out okay and then a ton of shaking. Took a look at the front wheel and turned out I hadn’t tightened it enough and one of the retainer plates had moved out of it’s position. Once I fixed that I haven’t had a problem since! I have used it with the swivel wheel and the wheel fixed. It’s also really easy to push. For the price it’s a steal…can’t find any other double jogging strollers for under [$] with the options it has. My older son loves that he can easily adjust the canopy to keep the sun out of his eyes, that there’s a place where he can store his drink and that he can sit next to his younger brother. There’s plenty of storage and the underneath storage is divided which I like since it keeps it a little more organized. A handbrake would be nice but for the price I’m not complaining. It’s wouldn’t be my first color choice but it’s not bad. I was able to fit it in the trunk of my sedan after playing around with it but I had to do the same thing with my single graco stroller. I did have to remove the wheels but they are super easy to remove and put back in place. I will definitely recommend this to my friends!

  45. A mom who uses a stroller daily on April 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I use a stroller almost daily for walks. I love pretty much everything about the stroller except the shaky front wheel that many others have experienced. I’ll return it because of that, and I am really bummed because every other feature is great and for a reasonable price. I’ve tried adjusting the nut like the manual says to if the wheel shakes, but it didn’t fix it. Must be a defect in some strollers because from what I hear not everyone experiences it. You really shouldn’t have to lock your swivel wheel to take it outside. I like to walk around a park where there are some tight turns that this stroller just can’t make easily when the wheel is locked. But I love the canopy. Folding it is easy and surprisingly compact. It fits through doors just fine. The MP3 speaker is cool but really not as cool as you would think; it is very quiet and the sound quality isn’t great. I’m really disappointed that this stroller wasn’t all I was hoping. I’ll probably have to pay almost double to get one with all the features I want.

  46. Mommyof2boys on April 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is the 6th stroller I’ve owned and by far the best! I did experience the wheel shaking this morning but its due to people not locking the front wheel. If your exercising with it the wheel should be locked anyways; if your crossing the street and worried you might have to run or walk faster than a brisk pace lock the wheel. Its an easy fix yea you might have to take 10 extra seconds to lock and unlock it but its not a problem in the design thats why they make the locking wheel swivels weren’t made for speed. Its so much lighter than my regular double when pushing around and much easier to manuever.

  47. busymom on April 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I purchased this stroller a few weeks ago. I have used it quite a bit since. I only experienced the shaking once. It seems that the wheel was turned and as soon as it righted itself it never happened again. I tried recreating it so I knew what had caused it. I have jogged with this stroller and love it. I have a 22 month old and a four month old. I think the stroller rides so smooth. I jogged with this stroller and my infant while he was drinking a bottle. It didn’t even fall out of his mouth. I would definetly recommend this to anyone. I love the swivel wheel. I am only rating it four stars since I think it is a little bulky in the car. But overall I highly recommend it.

  48. Worse for the Wear on April 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The front wheel wobbles with the slightest speed. I was walking down a slight incline and the front wheel started wobbling, caught and the front metal bar holding the front wheel bent back, throwing the stroller forward. Luckily I didn’t fall completely on top of the stroller! The kids were straped in and received scrapes on their face as they toppled forward onto the pavement. I ended up with bruised legs as I tried to stop the stroller from flipping forward. I had previously really loved many details about this stroller, but I can’t take the chance of this happening again, my kids could have been hurt worse!

  49. Mommy of 2 on April 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I did alot of research in finding a new double stroller. I sold my tandem Eddie Bauer stroller (ugh – so heavy!) and bought this one. This stroller is soooo light, easy to push (even with a 20 lb 8 month old on one side and a 38 lb 3 year old on the other)and turns on a dime due to the swivel wheel. It folds in a snap. I have experienced the front wheel shaking when you do anything more than a fast walk. My husband says the wheel can be adjusted – just haven’t gotten around to it. The speaker is a joke – so tiny – the kids can barely hear the music let alone you! I wish it was a louder/better speaker. Overall, I love this stroller and recommend it to everyone!

  50. Jabeaner on April 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love the features on this stroller. I like that it has pockets on the back of the seats and the basket. I had a hard time deciding between this one and babytrends other jogger that has a stationary wheel. I liked that the stationary wheel has a hand break, but I also really liked that this one’s front wheel swiveled or locked in place. It all came down to the fact that this one had more things that I liked. I do wish there was a hand break, since we live in a neigborhood with lots of hills. But I guess you can’t have everything.

  51. Lynda on April 19th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Just purchased this today after extensive online research involving specs and reviews on various double strollers. We will not be “jogging”, but needed something for outside walks and traveling to the beach and Disney. Our daughters are 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 and we wanted them to be comfy. This stroller has everything and doesn’t cost a fortune. I was about to fork out $600 for a Baby Jogger, but am so glad I found this! The best thing I think, that sets this apart, is that the seat can be nearly straight up for the kids. Most joggers force the child to be reclined at an angle or fully reclined. The problem with the shaking front wheel is easily remedied by tightening the nut that holds the front wheel on. It needs to be tight but not too tight or it would prevent the swivel. I wish it came in pretty colors for girls, and I wish there was an optional tray for the kids even if it came separately. I also wish the seat backs were taller so that they’d be able to sit in it for several more years, but this is something that is hard to find and believe me I’ve looked. At least there is this strong mesh from the top of the seat up to the top of the frame that is like a hammock so that even if the child’s head extends above the seat it isn’t hanging off the back when reclined. I love the way the girls fit in it with enough room in all directions that they aren’t cramped. There is enough storage space for any reasonable person and although it doesn’t collapse down small enough to fit in the trunk of my Jaguar it serves our purposes for an outdoor stroller. I highly recommend this and I have been reading everything on every double jogger out there and comparing all the specs. I don’t think there is anything to compare with the value for money against this model. It feels very sturdy, pushes itself, steers straight with only the 3 1/2 year old on one side, collapses in a second with barely any effort, can be easily cleaned up, the canopy is separate from the frame so you can push it all the way down in front of the kids if need be, there is plenty of storage, and the tires were already inflated when we unboxed it. Too bad they didn’t include a pump! One thing I haven’t heard mentioned that may be of help to first time stroller users is that you can roll up blankets like a sausage and use them to wedge a baby in place so that you can use a jogger from day one. As long as the baby is secure and not just with the harness, but really snuggled in so they feel safe and cozy!

  52. mom of two on April 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I did a ton of research on double jogging strollers and found that for me, this one was the best on the market and is worth every penny. I had a tandem stroller and it was miserable to push with my older son in it. I knew that I wanted a jogger with a swivel wheel because I enjoy going for walks outside in nice weather and walking in the mall in winter. I have a 2 year old (23 lbs) and a 5 year old (35 lbs), and I can barely tell that I am pushing 60 pounds plus the weight of the stroller. I love the ratcheting canopy, all the little mesh pockets, the parent cup holder, the swivel wheel, the easily adjustable seats, the wrist strap, the netting on the back of the seats, how easy it is to fold, and how extremely lightweight that it is. I never have a problem steering this stroller, it turns on a dime. And if I am going on bumpy terrain then I just lock the front wheel, and there has never been any shaking. The only slight annoyance I can say is that my husband nags me too much for his chance to push it. lol. Thank you baby trend for making this great product at such a reasonable price!

  53. Erin on April 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have a single baby trend and when I quit work I needed to get the double one. I read many reviews and settled on this one. […] I use it for walking a running. When I run I just lock the front wheel. and it is great. My kids love it too.

  54. mommy of twins on April 23rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I needed a jogging stroller, I didnt want to spend a lot of money but I also wanted quality! I got it with this one. Its easy to set up, fold out and fold up. The best thing about it is its easy to push and the swivel tire is great. Its almost like your not pushing much. I have a regular stroller and I started using this one for everyday use. You can use this until each child is 50 Ibs. Great stroller!!!!!!!!!!!!

  55. 2under2 on April 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller is pretty much faultless, in my opinion. It rides so smooth, and holds my 21 month old and 5 month old in, very safely. The sun visor can be adjusted to move from the top of their heads, down to their feet. I love that because my kids hate when the sun gets in their eyes. So easy to push and turn, and you can lock the wheel if you want to run, and then unlock the wheel when walking. The best of both worlds. Great for outside, boardwalks, etc. Not as great for small stores at the mall, but whatever, it’s a jogging stroller. and the best part – it’s inexpensive. You do not need to waste your money on another brand. This is awesome.

  56. Boys' Mom on April 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I researched many double jogging strollers after I could no longer push my two boys, two-and-a-half and one, around the neighborhood in our tandem. I took them to the store to try the Expedition, not really expecting to like it, since it was so reasonably priced! They loved it, I loved it, we bought it. Here’s what I like:

1.)The seats can be adjusted to sit very upright, not something I heard much when researching other strollers, but a must for my curious boys.
2.)The canopy is large and can be moved fully up and down while extended to shield the boys from sun and wind any time of day.
3.)The front wheel swivels, but can also be locked. I have only had a few incidents with shaky swiveling while going over uneven ground and increasing speed suddenly. (I walk fast and go up and down over various curbs and hills and have had only 3 occurences of this.)
4.)It fits through my front door (though not in my gym’s door) and handles SO well, light and easy to push; love the parent tray and cupholders.

    I only have one complaint:
1.)While the seats can be adjusted to a very upright position, they do not adjust evenly from side to side. This means the children sort of lean into each other. The outside edge of their seats are fully upright, but the inside edge of their seats don’t adjust quite as high. It is very slight and my toddler hasn’t noticed, but the baby is initially irritated by it until we really get going, then he forgets about it.

So far I haven’t figured out a way to overcome this design flaw. It has to do with how the seats are attached to the outside of the frame and not as supported on the inside and how the strap and buckle you use to adjust the seat backs are positioned. If not for this flaw, I would have given this stroller 5 stars.

One other note: we purchased it at the store and the box was sealed (it was new), but the instruction manual and all 8 screws (for the parent tray and the fender) were missing. I downloaded the manual from the Baby Trend website, though my husband had already assembled it without it, and called the company for the screws. They sent them promptly, problem solved. Also, FYI, the manual says the tires are shipped un-inflated, but mine were already inflated and the rep on the phone said that indeed all the tires are now shipped inflated.

  58. cushy on April 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I absolutely love this stroller. I can’t understand why it’s not more popular. I have a very tall and heavy 2 year old and a three month old, and both are very comfortable in it. The stroller practically pushes itself- it is so easy to manuever. It turns easily even in tight spaces and fits through most doors without a problem. It has tons of storage which I love because I often often walk to the grocery store with it. I tried a lot of the more expensive double strollers, and I liked this one best because of the storage, and the fact that you really can shop or jog with it, since the wheel can swivel or be fixed and it has large rear wheels. It’s also pretty lightweight for a double jogger, folds easily, and doesn’t take up much room when folded. I personally haven’t had any problem with the front wheel wobbling, but it states very clearly in the manual that if that happens, there it a nut you can adjust by the front wheel.

The only reason why I didn’t give five stars is because if it had an adjustable handlebar it would be absolutely perfect, although that’s more just for running. The standard height is fine for me and my husband (we’re 5’8″ and 6’2″).

  59. shelle on May 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I am a mother of three children, 6 months, 2 1/2, and 5. I was looking for a stroller that I could use mostly outside. All 3 of my children fit comfortably in this stroller. It fits in the back of my minivan (is a little bulky). It is tricky to get through doors, though (wide). Overall, I love this stroller and it is a great price.

  60. mother of 2 on May 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this since it was reasonably priced and fit both my 4 and 2 year old great. it has a double cup holder with a nice section for keys and phone. HOwever, we used it a few times and each time the front wheel wobbled worse and worse. It got so bad that when I took it back to the store on the smooth surface of the floor, it continued to wobble. It is super big and wont fit through doorways, which was not a big deal to me, since it was for outside usage, but it wouldn’t fit in the trunk of maxima and barely fit in the back of a yukon only if the back seats were taken out completely. Note to the manufacturer…you have a great stroller here, just fix the wobbly wheel!

  61. Twins on board on May 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

There is no central support system that runs between the seats. Basically, the two seats are one big piece of fabric. After 2 months (I have twin boys who weigh 21 and 23 pounds) the seats sagged so much to the center of the stroller that the boys were uncomfortable and cranky because they had no personal space (their sitting position must have been terrible for their backs). Do not buy this stroller. Further, the front wheel “shimmied” so much whether tightened or loosened that I constantly had to stop to let the wheel go back to the correct position. Cut corners on something else. Spend the money and buy a good stroller just like you do car seats and matresses. I was lucky enough to get a manager to allow me to return this after 2 months without the box and against policy. Don’t risk it.

  62. mom of 3 on May 8th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love everything about this stroller… except one very IMPORTANT part. The front wheel wobbles like crazy… and I’m not talking about while running, I’m talking about it wobbling like crazy, where I have to actually stop the stroller completely while strolling along on the sidewalk. When I first purchased it two weeks ago it did it off and on, but now it does it all the time, unless of course the wheel is locked… but that’s not why I bought this jogger. I bought it to have the option of swivel and locked. I plan on bringing it back to the store and hopefully purchasing a new one. Maybe it’s just this one that’s defective. I don’t know. I will give it one more shot, after that I will be on the hunt for another double jogger. Too bad BOB’s aren’t a little cheaper. They are the BEST!!!

  63. MrsMomB on May 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We have a 9 month old and a 2-1/2 year old that ride very comfortably together. It also rides right thru grass and bumpy walkways with the greatest of ease! (We also have a 5 year old that sometime squeezes on the foot rest and rides too)! It is SO easy to push… it cuts right thru any terrain! I would trade this stroller for a traditional bulky double stroller ANYDAY! For the amount of time we are going to use this, long or shortterm it is worth every penny. My only wish is that the seats sat more upright. Folds up nice in our Grand Caravan. LOVE IT!!!

  64. Critical Daddy on May 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I’ll start by saying “TIGHTEN THE NUT ON THE FRONT WHEEL!!!” Why people don’t read directions is beyond me. If they would, then they would not be having issues with the front wheel wobble. Things loosen up during shipping! Anyway, now to the review. I am very critical about everything and do tons of research before I buy anything. This stroller is one of the best rated on Consumer Reports so it was one I looked at and tried in the store from the beginning. It definately competes with joggers that cost twice as much or more. Quality for the price is excellent. I would venture to say this jogger can handle kids above the specified age/weight limits but please use your common sense. For those of us that deal with hills, a brake would be nice! but I guess you can’t have everything. MP3 speaker is cheap and not loud enough. All in all you can’t beat what this stroller offers and how it performs for the price. I’ll say it once more for those that missed it the first time. TIGHTEN THE NUT ON THE FRONT WHEEL LIKE THE MANUAL TELLS YOU TO DO SO YOU DONT HAVE THE FRONT WHEEL WOBBLE!!!

  65. Mom of 2 BIG boys on May 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is an incredible stroller. We bought this to take to Disneyworld. We were afraid because of the size and weight of it that it would be more of a pain, but it was awesome. I have two kids 5 and 21 months. The oldest is very tall for his age, so the jeep double umbrella just wasn’t at all comfortable. Bought this-went walking with it a few times before we left and it did shake at high speeds. Husband readjusted and it was perfect! Easy to push, the kids were very comfortable. Open up the tray on top and you can put two extra drinks or snacks. They actually slept in it thru dinner one night which was very nice for us!! It was heavy to load on and off the Disney transportation, but the pros FAR outweighed any cons!!!

  66. his mama on May 13th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have had this stroller for about 3 months and I love it!!! It was easy to assemble and very sturdy. I love the adjustable canopy as do the kids to keep the sun out of their eyes. I love the locking swivel wheel…when running you do have to have the wheel locked or the stroller is all over the place but when you are just walking it is so nice to have the swivel wheel option as it does make it easier to maneuver, overall it is an incredibly smooth ride and my kids never complain about having to go for a jog. The MP3 player is more for the kids then you as it is hard to hear when you are running but the kids like it and complain when I don’t have the music playing. There is pretty much nothing I don’t like about this stroller! It is large even when collapsed so a small vehicle would not work well with this type of stroller but it is a DOUBLE stroller so that is what I would expect. I highly recommend this stroller!!!

The two things I like best about this stroller is that it’s lightweight, and it fits through regular doors. My kids love riding in it, and it is so easy to run with, or even take a walk with. Even though it’s big, it doesn’t seem bulky like other double strollers feel.
I’m not too sure if I like the parent tray unclippig when I fold it. It seems to me like it would get worn down faster. But I guess I will just deal with it.

This is the perfect double stroller. I am not a jogger and I love this stroller! It’s easy to push and stear. Has cup holders and a snack tray on top. Baskets are big enough that I can fit my full size diaper bag underneath one seat and still have a basket left ver for toys blankets etc. It fits no problem in the trunk of my blazer and is easy to fold. It’s not very heavy either weights about the same as graco or combi. I tested out dozens of strollers before purchasing this one. And this one is by far the best!! It’s cheeper then the more expensieve and It comfortably holds my one year old and my 4 year old no problem. I would totaly recomed this stroller to anyone. The front wheen can lock if you jog or if you don’t jog (like me) it’s just a fantastic double stroller, fits down store isles no problem. Also the seats lie flat so I am planning on letting our new baby ride in it in october, just adding a head support. It has a fantastic 5 point harnes that dosn’t pinch and is easy to snap. It can be pushed on grass, gravel, or a sidewalk or pavement. I find that it handles all terain well. We take it to the zoo, beach, park, and stores! I just love this stroller!

We wanted a double stroller for our 4.5 yr old and 6 mth old. Would have been perfect if not for
    1) Front wheel swivel became lose and needed tightening several times. At store they said it is a common problem.
    2) Craftsmanship of seats not done well. They slated inwards so both kids always ended up ontop of each other.

Maybe mine was just defective, if not for these problems would have been perfect.

I have only had this stroller a week, but I already love it. It is so easy to push with 25 pound twins. It is so much easier to push on long walks than my combi double. My girls love riding in it and have plenty of room. I would buy this stroller again.

  71. Mom of 3 on May 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My husband got me this stroller last night I was really excited to try it out and go jogging. Well it is a wonderful stroller if you want to just walk but as soon as you try to go faster like jog or try to run the whole stroller shakes and whobbles so bad you cant even bear it. I called the store and they said make sure the swivel wheel is tight so we tightend the wheel and still the thing just shakes. But thats not it though if your kids fall a sleep while riding, the seats do not lay flat or even they tilt to the side. The kids heads are hit together. The only good thing I thought was the cupholders and the big closed compartment. but it is not worth the money. I hope you have a truck your going to need it to take this anywhere.

I searched for a long time for a double jogging stroller and refused to pay the OUTRAGEOUS prices that most are selling for! I found this one and was a little worried because the price was SOO REASONABLE, but my husband and I gave it a try and WE LOVE IT!! It is a great walking stroller. We take the kids on long walks and have never had a problem with it. My 3 year old and 6 month old LOVE IT!

i looked for a double jogger for months and when i found the babytrend expedition there has been only one problem… trying to find it in stock or available online! we’ve had our for a few weeks now and my kids love it. it is so easy to push, feels light as a feather, much much lighter than my duoglider or any others we tried. we haven’t had a shaky wheel,my oldest even occasionally sits of the front footrest, since all 3 kids don’t add up to 100 lbs! the seat do slant a bit but their heads aren’t on top of eachother, mind they a 4, 3, & 8month old. as far as pricewise, fantastic! we are really pleased with ours… i think the negative reviews were looking for a car, not a stroller!!!

  74. madmom on June 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I wanted this stroller so bad forever however I got it loved it then our third trip using it the shaking started my husband checked it out and nothing was wrong that her could find. It’s going back.

  75. Mom of Two in KC on June 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I thought I would love this stroller since it was so reasonably priced and had most of the options I was looking for. However, when I started using the stroller on a regular basis, I noticed that the front wheel would shake vigorously. After this happened several times (once when I was just walking in the mall), I decided to return it for a refund and find another suitable double jogging stroller.

  76. MOM OF TWO on June 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I almost didn’t buy this stroller after seeing some of the comments…But I am SO GLAD I DID!! It was great for the money. I have a 4 year old and a 4 month old. I can recline my baby all the way back and my oldest son sits up. I don’t really jog..just walk but if I wanted to jog it would be perfect. I saw some of the comments about the wheel and how it wobbles. I didnt’ have that issue at all! My thinking is those of you who had trouble with that part….um….maybe your husband didn’t put it together right. The front wheel locks if you want to really run! And the back wheels do as well, they are very easily locked and unlocked with your foot. It is a bigger stroller…but lets be realistic it IS a DOUBLE stroller. It is not going to fold up and fit in your pocket. But as long as you have a reasonable size trunk you will be fine. The seats do tend to bring the kids together in the center so I would maybe not recommend it for two infants but…I don’t think their heads would “bang” together. But they would probably touch.

  77. Baby Gear Expert Mom of 2 on June 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is the best stroller on the market for parents with multiples. I’ve had mine for probably 4 months now and I love it. We just took it to Disneyland, and the beach and it pushed like a charm up and down the boardwalk, through the sand and crowds. I walk 4 miles a day and have never had an issue with shaking. My stroller did come missing screws but Baby Trend had them overnighted to me at no cost.I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old and they love going for rides. It’s super smooth and I can push it with just a finger. It turns on a dime. Though it does not have a child tray, it does have pockets on the inside next to each seat for a snack cup or sippy cup. I also LOVE the size of the canopy. No matter where the sun is and which way we’re facing. I can always adjust the canopy to where my kids have very little or no sun on them.Overall it’s amazing. I wouldn’t recommend anything else. The ONLY reason I did not give it 5 stars is because[…]nothing is perfect.

  78. frustrated walker on June 13th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I very happily purchased this back in January. I found it easy to set up, comfortable for the kids (ages 2 & 4) and very maneuverable. Then had to exchange it for another in march when the frame started sporadically shaking for no apparent reason. Now my replacement is having problems. The front wheel is not swiveling correctly – just locking up at odd directions and not turning or going straight as I try to steer. When the kids are out and I turn the stroller over the wheel seems to move freely. So again, I don’t know what the problem is. I used my single baby trend stroller happily without problems for 3 years so my experiences with this one have been surprising and very frustrating. I’m not sure what I’m going to do now…

  79. Heidi on June 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We bought a Baby Trend Single Jogging Stroller with our first child and absolutley loved it. Only recently has the front wheel begun to shake. Now that we have baby #2 we were excited and decided to purchase the double stroller. This past weekend we took it to Sea World. It shook the entire day! It didn’t matter whether we were walking, jogging, turning, had kids in it, or kids out. If the wheel didn’t shake it would be the best jogging stroller. After reading other reviews I think this is a problem with most all of them. Unfortunatley we will be returning this and hopefully will be able to fix our single stroller!

  80. Conceicao Mom on June 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

With a two year old and a 10 month old this stroller is perfect for the both of them. They love sitting side by side. This stroller is easy to colapse and fits nicely into the back of my car. Can’t go to fast with the swivel wheel unlocked or else it starts to shake. I’ve used it walking/jogging for the past 5 months and still performs like it brand new. I would definetley recommend this to other people.

  81. Mopsey on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

The Baby Trend double jogger (Expedition) has many great features! I searched long and hard for and double stroller that had this many features and still did not break the bank!
    Great price!
nice parent Tray (not a bag attached to the handle like other bouble joggers)
Great storage underneath and behind seats!
    easy to colapse
BEST FEATURE: AWESOME canopy that tilts all the way forward (much like an infant carseat)
really smooth to push (at the beginning)
    seats don’t have sloppy padding
seat belts adjust to use as a 5 point or three point harness
Love the MP3 speaker on the canopy

    No child tray
have to press hard on break to actually get it in place
Front wheel does shake if you are going fast and don’t have the front wheel locked.
Front wheel began to stiffen up about 2 months after purchase
seat backs tend to tilt in toward eachother.
when you collapse the stroller you have to be careful not to scratch up the foot rest(would be better if it were rubber)
Parent tray pops off the handle when folded (a pain)
Older kids feet dangle off the side as the foot rest is a triangle (child did not complain but didn’t look comfy)

I did return this item after 2 months, because the front wheel was beginning to stick too much – defeated the purpose of being able to manover it with one hand. Baby Trend was very kind about the return and full refund! They even set up return shipping! Great customer service!

  82. Twins Mom on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I searched high and low and read every review possible before I bought this stroller for my twins and I love this stroller! My boys are 7 months old (16 lbs) and they love riding in it. We’ve had the stroller for 3 months now and use it to walk and run 4-5 times a week. The best feature is the canopy. It can be moved to any position so the sun never gets in their eyes. I also love all of the storage compartments and the parents tray. The stoller rides very smoothly and does great walking or at a run. My sister has the same stroller for her 2 year old and 3 month old and loves it too. Our only complaint is that the kids tend to lean in towards each other a little bit. But after a lot of reasearch all double joggers tend to do this! I would highly recommend this stroller for anyone and you can’t beat the price!

  83. Betsy at the beach on June 24th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller to use primarily at the beach. I had such a hard time getting an infant, toddler and all of our stuff on and off the Jersey shore by myself. Because my toddler is almost 4, I didn’t want to do a double. He rarely uses a stroller anymore. But this was the PERFECT solution because I can strap my infant on one side, recline the other seat and put my large beach bag there. So definitely get the double if you need storage space! I hang my umbrella over the handlebar and put my chair on top of the canopy. And off I go by myself with kids AND gear easily taken care of! Normally I would have needed two adults to haul all of this with kids!

    The positives are:
It is extremely easy to push and pull through sand and up and down steps or the boardwalk. The swivel wheel is a HUGE improvement over the older model (I use to own the Expedition single jogger). I have put both children in this stroller to walk up and down the beach when they need a rest from the sun and it pushes very smoothly and easily. It has excellent sun protection with the huge tilt-able canopy. The seats incline much higher than the older model. My toddler is 38 inches tall and weighs 38 pounds. He fits very comfortably in the second seat and has plenty of head room for growing! There is also plenty of leg and feet space with room to grow. The foot rest is very large and sturdy. The mesh pockets on the inside of each seat are perfect for sippy cups or snacks since there is not a lap tray. I am very tall and I find that my feet never bump or hit the back of this stroller as I push. I own another stroller for inside purposes and although it is luxurious, it is too short for me and not comfortable to push. I never have to hunch my back or get sore when pushing this jogger! It’s ultra comfy for my husband as well. One last thing, the cup holders are deep enough to hold drinks in place, unlike the older model. There is also an excellent storage compartment that can be used for food, junk, or more drinks! It’s awesome and works very well.

The only negatives I can find with this stroller are the following:
The storage capacity underneath is not great, but manageable with a small bag or misc. items. The speaker for the ipod connection is absolutely worthless. I did not buy this stroller for that perk, but I definitely wouldn’t buy this stroller because of that! Even with the volume turned up to the highest level, my son can barely make out the sounds of the music, yet alone the song. This feature is a good idea, however, and Baby Trend should work on improving this! It does take up a good bit of space in our trunk. We drive a Sienna van and it takes up most of the back space when our seats are up. It does NOT fit into the trunk of our Corolla, so this won’t work if you only have a small car. It is heavy to lift and bulky, but oh so worth it once you know how easily it maneuvers!

Overall, this is the BEST double stroller for outside or active use that is on the market right now. It does everything that the more expensive models do. I researched and tried them all. The price is very affordable, especially if you can use a BRU coupon! Most stores carry this model, so I definitely recommend trying it out in person! Now that I have it, I use it everywhere and plan on retiring my older, more plush stroller. This is so practical and fun to use, why not?!

I was so excited when I purchased this stroller. I bought it so I could take all of my boys to the park and would be able to navigate the trails with ease. Much to my disappointment we never made it to the park. When I had my boys out for an evening walk the front swivel wheel began to shake uncontrollably. I checked the wheel to make sure it was secured properly, which it was, three separate times. […]

  85. Mommy of 2 on June 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have a 2 year old and 10 month old so it stays pretty busy. I walk in my neighborhood almost everyday and needed a stroller that I can take both my kids in. So I was so excited to get this stroller. I pushed it in the store and it was so light, loved it. It wasn’t hard putting together, but I was surprised that it was kind of difficult to steer with both kids sitting in it. I know its an extra 50 lbs but I expected it to steer easier with a swivel wheel. My 10 month old hates the top straps, so we just buckle around her waist. They do sit on top of one another but its cute and easier to share. My front wheel doesn’t shake, so I guess I lucked out. I’m glad I bought this stroller I just wish it was a little bit easier to steer. The MP3 speaker doesnt work on my stroller, it plays the music but not loud enough for anyone to hear.

I bought this stroller after my friend bought it last week and she DID NOT experience the Vibrating Front Wheel. So I gave it a shot, but my wheel started to vibrate violently during my first walk. I was not even walking fast. Then once it happened it kept happening even after just 3 or 4 steps. I asked my husband to look at the nut under the foot rest. He decided to unscrew the whole piece off to see what was wrong, since at this point I was about to take it apart and take it back to the store. He said the bearing ball piece seemed to be upside down. He said it was vibrating and shaking because the side with the lip should not be facing down, but up. This was causing an uneven surface and so causing it to shake. Well, it worked!!!! We decided to take it for a long walk and we took turns speeding up a little (before it shook every time we did this) and NOTHING, it was smooth. I was so excited since I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on ANOTHER stroller. Also my tall 3 year old daughter was comfortable and 8 month old son appeared comfortable. I just wish it had a hand brake but I’ve read that none of the front swivel wheel joggers have them. I do wish it had a grip bar and rain cover.
I gave it 2 Stars because of the unnecessary frustration and disappointment I felt initially because Baby Trend assembled it incorrectly. Whoever is the worker at Baby Trend whose job it is to drop this piece into the stroller NEEDS TO WAKE UP or even better should be FIRED. I believe this is Baby Trend’s fault for not having a better Quality Controller. So the few people who actually got a stroller that never shook (like my friend) had that piece properly installed, but it seems to me that the guy/girl works overtime and is screwing up the majority of the strollers! Now it’s great. Like it should work. I know people feel that you get what you pay for…but I did pay for the stroller to at least roll forward without vibrating. Even the cheapest strollers out there don’t shake and vibrate.
I recommend this stroller now that mine is working as it should.

I bought this stroller about a month ago and I use it nearly every day. I LOVE this stroller!! I have a two year old and a six month old and they both fit comfortably. My baby can nap while we’re out and about and my toddler can still sit up comfortably. I was a little worried when I read the reviews about the shaking wheels, but I’ve had no problems. I take it running, to the store, to the pool. It goes everywhere with us. I also like how it folds up and is easy to carry once folded. Fits perfect in my compact cars trunk. Over all I would recomend this stroller to any one who has two children.

UPDATE:Well, my first review (just a couple of days ago) of the product was positive, so I wanted to update what was going on….I said my husband fixed the wheel, it still doesn’t vibrate at all–BUT it just no longer swivels. The stroller only pulls to the right and in a circle, it won’t go straight. This happened to me going to the supermarket, so I had to push the stroller in a pop-a-wheelie to get through the store and back home. What a nightmare. Even with the wheel locked, it wasn’t working properly. I bought it on July 1st and returned it July 5th. So we just returned it this morning […]and we ordered a schwinn free wheeler Aluminum stroller from a […] Save yourself a headache and opt for a better stroller. I recently purchased this stroller after hating to push the heavy maclaren double stroller– i was looking for a smooth ride and soo far this stroller seems to ride smoothly..i have an almost 3 year old and a 15 month old and they were getting to heavy to push in the double maclaren stroller– i also have the caboose front and back by joovy –which gets a little heavy but did the job until now–(i like having them side-by-side) this seems like a comfortable ride for them both and easy for me to push! i like the drink tray–i did not give it 5 stars because im a little nervous about the front wheel–my husband was pushing it the other nite and the front wheel lost control and vibrtated when he started to run–i’m hoping that does not happen again because my friend’s front wheel completely lost control and she ended up returning it–all in all so far so good!

It folds up easy but is a little heavy. Like every other jogger out there. Its preety big when it fold up but as long as you have a van then your fine.I bought a headrest for my newborn and she loves it .

I was a little nervous about buying this stroller after reading some of the reviews, but after test driving it and inspecting it many times at Babies R Us, I still felt it was the stroller for me. I bought it before our Disney vacation and it was fabulous!
I have 3 girls, ages 7yrs, 3 1/2yrs and 17 months. We put this stroller to the test! It went through airports, off and on transport trains, in and out of the trunk of our rental car and was in use from sun-up to sun-down for 4 days at Disney and 4 more days at Ormond Beach. Not only did it comfortably accommodate my youngest two daughters, but there were numerous times my 7yo would sit on the front fender when she got tired of walking. Of course I don’t recommend doing this regularly, but I was impressed that it safely handled a 105 pound combined load of my 3 girls!
Yes, we did have a few BRIEF moments of wheel wobbling, but this only occurred when the weight distribution was significantly imbalanced, we took off too fast, or were on a bumpy, irregular surface. Whenever this happened, which was probably 3 or 4 times total, I simply lifted the front wheel slightly for just a second by doing a tiny “wheelie” and that stopped the wobble immediately. I would not let this deter you from purchasing this product!
Oh, and it steers like a dream!
I didn’t give it 5 stars because there’s always room for improvement on any product. My only complaints, though minor, were the parent try popping off the handle every time the stroller is folded, the wheel base is a little too wide for some doorways ( but it IS a double, so what do you expect), and that occasional wobble.

  92. Alexis on July 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller yesterday, and I am also experiencing the front wheel shaking uncontrollably. After reading more reviews of this stroller, I think that I am going to take it back and order an InStep jogger online.
    Thanks for all the reviews!

his is a great stroller for the price. We have taken it EVERYWHERE!!! We bought it a month ago and have used it almost everyday. My kids love it too. They are 20 months and 3 years old. It turns easily and folds easily. These were the prblems I had with my other double stroller. I think it is great. One note- it won’t fit through doorways. The wheels are too wide. But I expected this since it is a jogging stroller. We only had one problem – the speaker for a MP3 player doen’t work, I have to call the company about it.

I bought this stroller for my 4yr old and my 4 week old newborn. I bought a snuzzler for the baby..and he loves riding in this stroller! I think the stroller is great for the price. I however have a little difficulty when steering on a turn with the front wheel. I think they could fine tune that. However, other than that…I have been stopped several times and asked about the stroller. I have taken it several places, and I have yet to run into my wheel vibrating. It steers fine, and its a smooth ride overall.
I would def recommend this to my friends.

  95. chicago_momma on July 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We were actually shopping for another style when we found this stroller at a BRU store. I wasn’t too sure about the color (I am vain, I know!) but am so thankful for this stroller, I would buy it again in ANY color! The price was excellent – most models we were looking at were in excess of $250.00. This stroller has already withstood some rugged treatment from my family and appears sturdy and fairly durable. While we don’t jog with it, it transports my children (2 and a half and 6 months) to and from daycare twice a day, at one mile each time. My kids are both large for their age, and the stroller transports them both comfortably and practically. The storage basket underneath is not huge, but definitely big enough to fit essentials. One of the best features is the canopy – while short (does not always provide shade) it is movable, so we are able to manipulate it as the sun covers the kids. This is a really handy feature when walking because it keeps the kids comfortable. The ride is smooth – in fact, it is part of our son’s “night time” routine before bed. I also like the folding feature as the stroller folds front front to back, which makes it flatter for storage in the garage. The stroller is a little bulky (will not fit through a single door, but fits through double doors easily) but this is reasonable considering it is a dual stroller. I am thrilled with this purchase and wouldn’t change a thing (even the color!)

  96. twin boys on board on July 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Great value! I have used this every morning for a 1-1.5 hour walk (not a jog – : )

This is a great deal for the money. You do not need the big bucks variety. We have no issues with wheel wobble. My husband said that if there is wobble you have set it up wrong and need to adjust per the manual. We leave the swivel wheel loose all the time. Great on curbs and fits in our Ford Escape. Easy to fold. We do not use the speakers (very silly thing that they focused on.) We go to the supermarket in it and I can fit a gallon of milk below and 2-3 bags. The cup holder and pockets are great… plus there are net storage pockets in their seats. We love it!

My suggestions for improvement …1) the sun shade really could be double the size… I closepinned two beach thin beach towels to the front and back of it and adjust them as I walk. 2) the straps do not adjust quickly. But that is no biggie as you adjust only once in a while.

  97. Momma of Quads on July 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have 7 month old quadruplets; Crimson, Vermillion, Sterling, and Greyson and I bought 2 of these. Every morning before my husband heads off to work we go jogging at a near by resovoir. Our strollers are okay. I have two diaper bags and we put one in each basket but the bags fall out alot and they are not that big and are weighted. Also occasionally the wheels get caught on something and squeak. I just got these last month when my husband started running with me ( i used to leave the babies home with my hubby) and it is falling apart. We took off the wheels and the squeaking stopped for a week, then the speakers on one of the strollers broke, and then the seam on one seat on both strollers started to tear. I still have them but I recently bought two BOB jogging strollers and they’re GREAT! a little heavy also. Pretty smooth ride though. okay stroller FOR THE PRICE. get something else that is guaranteed to last.

i bought this after my COMBI double’s wheel broke off on an uneven sidewalk. this stroller is great for bumpy roads, sidewalk, grass, sand, etc. my kids (41/2 and 2) fit great. the front wheel shakes if i only have 1 kid in it- maybe bc the balance is off. it is very heavy, and doesnt fold up well. it takes up half of my minivan trunk. performance wise- its good.

I love this jogger because I can get up and down my very rocky drive way with only a small problem and that is fixed by not filling the wheels to the 40psi it calls for.I wog(walk and run)12 1/2 miles a week. The only problem I have incountered with this jogger is a bubble in one of the back wheels and being a non expert I called the company and told them my problem, the person I talked to was sweet and sent me a new wheel assembly and let me now not to use an aircompresser on the wheels.(she could have told me they couldn’t do anything about it because it was my falt).Other then that I have not had a problem with it.I do wish they would include the weather covers with the jogger.

I actually bought this for my 2 Little Dogs, although during the first 2 years of my daughters life I was “All the Envy” in my Mommy Out group…The first Mom to be Blessed with one of these New Joggers. Living 5 blocks from the Oceanfront, it would seem crazy driving and paying for parking when i could walk! My daughter would fall asleep during our walks home, the “slouchy” single seat just sucked her little body down into the most comfortable nap position, a Dream! Now this Double works great for my 2 little bratz! I get so much distance now, they never wld have made it before I’d end up holding them both, all of the way home & my arms wld be Screaming!!…8 to 9 miles, AHHH. This stroller has saved me MUCH PAIN! I do think that the wheels cld hav been “beefed up” a little more, something fat, wide, more “grab” power for those ruff trails or the softer sand. I’ve noticed the 2 back seem to angle inward, the higher angle wins the “pull” toward that side. I’ve got a tug of war with the direction the entire trip, I’m looking at repairing myself. Otherwise, I’m happy! OH, havent figured oput how to fold it yet, HELP!

I bought this stroller yesturday, I have an INSTEP jogger with the fixed front wheel and my kids and i both hated it. They were uncomfortable, and I couldn’t push it no matter what the surface was. We picked out this one and fell in love. It’s a little bulky, but I have an suv, so i’m not bothered by the size.

  102. Mom-on-the-go on July 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

    Good stuff:
    competitive price
    easy assembly
    decent storage available

    Improvement areas:
sun shade is way too small
vents above kids’ heads need a some type of shade too – sun can reach them through the vent in certain situations
adjustable straps could be easier to maneuver
swivel wheel doesn’t always swivel when you need it to do so

I’m using it with an infant and toddler – it seems to handle the weight difference well, but the sun is a big issue for me.

  103. Losing Wieght in OKC on July 31st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I got this stroller after extensive research and trying out every single double stroller I could get my hands on. Being on a tight budget, this fit my needs perfectly. It handles well, holds a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old balanced, the wheel does jiggle when I get really speedwalking, but then once I fix position it, no problem. The sunshade works well for me, great pocket space, nice cupholders, fits in the back of the Honda civic (as long as nothing else is going in there). We mainly use it for daily speedwalks with the dog in the nieghborhood and for outdoor activities/festivals. And yes, the little speaker really is a joke, it doesn’t fit through most doors, and the seats do slouch into one another (but the kids don’t seem to mind). I also do not believe it was intended for marathon training mommies. But for a durable, safe, well handling, storage-loaded double sports stroller at a great price, I’ll take it!

  104. Mom of 2 girls on August 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I really wanted a double jogging stroller for my 2 girls (3 1/2 and 3 months) but did not want to fork over a lot of money (because my older one will outgrow it soon) so I read the reviews on this one and decided to give it a try. I bought a snuzzler for the baby and reclined the seat all the way….set out for a walk only and it pushed like a dream – love that the front wheel swivels. Decided to give jogging a try (locked the wheel very easily) and the baby fell asleep! She was well supported in the snuzzler and her head did not move an inch! I just took it slow over any bumps and got a great workout. It is a bit large even when folded but if you have a garage or shed to store it in, you’ll be fine. The wheel did not wobble and there was no vibration either. I only gave it four stars because I have only used it once so far…

  105. DoubleH on August 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I researched strollers for probably over a year while I was pregnant. I have a 2 1/2 yr old and now 51/2 mth old. I bought this stroller after I tested it in the store. It was GREAT in the store..easy to turn with the swivel wheel etc.
Right off the bat when we started using it we had problems with the front wheel turning properly. It would not turn or it would stick in one postion and turn in circles only. Now after only 4 mths of using this thing the front wheel is completely broken. This stroller is a piece of junk – I do NOT reccommend saving a buck – unfortunately you pay for what you get. We just went out and bought a new one. So we have wasted over $400.00 on strollers in just 4 mths ! It was also very hard to store our diaper bag in the bottom. The only pro is the cupholders! Its also VERY hard for me to lift into my jeep…Heavy. AHHH I hate this stroller !

  106. Will & Bailey's Mom on August 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I loved this stroller at first. My twins are four months now. They’re only 14 and 12 pounds and already the middle of the stroller is starting to sag and the babies heads lean in to the center. There is no bar in the center so it’s just fabric bolted to the bar at the top and bottom. I can only imagine how stretched out it will be once they’re 15+ pounds. I hope I can return it for being defective. Also, the MP3 speaker thing is pointless – it doesn’t get loud enough for anyone to hear it…babies or mom!

  107. Father of twins on August 11th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My twins are 15 months old and were kicking each other in the tandem stroller we had, so we opted for this side-by-side jogger. While walking straight, it’s great, but the front wheel wobbles and often won’t turn at all, causing much frustation. I contacted the manufacturer and after making all the adjustments they recommended, it still won’t turn when it is supposed to, and still wobbles. They say it is ‘my fault’ because i have the nut above the wheel turned too tight. I turned it back and forth as they suggested with no results. Don’t expect help from the manufacturer. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer, the straps could be easier to maneuver…

  108. mom of three on August 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Great stroller not perfect but for the price wonderful. the seats sit upright lots of storage with small pocket in each seat and larger pocket behind each seat. The basket underneath is smaller and hard to reach but works ok. The moving canopy is wonderful the canopy could be bigger though. Stroller does not wobble at all and I put it together which means it was easy : ) So easy to push I have the quattro tour double stroller which is a wonderful stroller but so hard to push. When this stroller folds it is wide but what do you expect. It is not any fatter or heavier than the quattro tour we have. Over I am soooo happy with this troller.

  109. Mom of 2 on August 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My husband and I got this stroller since it is one of the few with a swivel wheel. When you go to fast, if th wheel is unlocked, it will start to shake, but we’ve had great luck with this stroller. We’ve had it since February 2008 and it has worked for our two kids ever since. They were 4 months and 17 month when we got it, and still use it all the time at 10 and 23 months. The only problem we’ve had is the speaker broke. I couldn’t hear the music, but we put kids music on for them and they loved it. If you have a small trunk, it won’t work for you. It fits in hte trunk of our Sebring, but only with nothing else in there. Not good for mall shopping because it doesn’t fit down aisles, but we took it to Chicago and it was great walking down Michigan Ave.

  110. HaleyJo on August 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have a 3.5 yr old and a 1.5 yr old and they both fit in this just fine. They love it in fact. I use this solely for jogging/running. I have never had a problem with my wheel locking or not turning, and I run with mine. My MP3 thing didn’t really work as well as I wanted it too but for the price, this stroller rocks!! It fits through doors too!! Which is a plus! Also, for the person who said they couldn’t lift theirs, I would hate to see what she would do when her kids get a little bigger. The stroller isn’t that heavy at all. Anyways, I love my stroller so much and was always talking about it that my friend when out and bought the SAME one. We run together in the mornings now. Buy the stroller! It’s awesome!! (Now if you have the money for the BOB or other strollers that cost over $500 then you might be getting a better stroller, BUT for this one being under [$], its AWESOME! It does everything a JOGGING stroller is supposed to!)

  111. Kim, mom of 2 on August 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My husband and I bought this stroller for our 3 year old and 8 month old. We were going on vacation and wanted something for the 3 year old in case she got tired and wanted to rest. Well, it came in handy. She loved the stroller and loved sitting next to her little brother and being able to see him.
The stroller was very easy to put together. It is a little bulky and would be very hard to fit in most trunks, but we have an SUV and it fit perfect with plenty of room to spare.
I would definately recommend this stroller to all my friends!

  112. LK IN PA on August 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I researched and read all the reviews for this stroller before purchasing it, and it seemed to have everything I was looking for in a jog stroller, plus you could not beat the price since most other comparable strollers are much more expensive, but honestly you DO get what you pay for. At first the stroller was great, loved everything about it although it was tough to fold it and load into the car, but I could overlook this aspect, however after a few months of use the front wheel began to shimmy, we adjusted the hardware (per the manuals instruction) and the shimmy returned a week later….then I locked the front wheel, which defeated the purpose of having a rotating wheel, this was actually working since the wheel was no longer causing serious vibration, then last night the front wheel FELL OFF during a walk with my 2 babies, I attempted to fix the stroller myself but the wheel just wouldn’t stay on, very distressing to say the least. […]

  113. Tennis mom on August 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller. I use it every day with my 3 yo and 8 mo old boys. They both are comfortable and love sitting next to each other. The sun shade is great and blocks the sun at all angles. It turns on a dime. Soo easy to push. There is a good amount of storage. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t have a break but for me that isn’t a big deal and we even live in a very hilly area. I have not had any problems with the front wheel shaking. I use is mostly for brisk walks but have even jogged with it and the wheel didn’t shake at all. I was nervous about this since many people complained about it but I took a chance and am so glad I did. This is a fantastic buy. I paid [$] and you can’t beat that price for a double jogger.

  114. RandGsMommy on August 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I had a bulky stroller where one child sat in front of the other and I couldn’t stand it anymore. I had been looking for a jogging stroller but found a lot of them were too wide, or had a fixed wheel. When we found this one at such a great price we decided to get it. We put it together and took it out that night. I couldn’t believe the difference in the 2 strollers! It was like night and day. This stroller is very lightweight and easy to push. My kids love being side by side. (The one in the back never got to see where we were going.) And it’s narrow enough to take into stores without feeling like you are taking up a whole isle!

I was concerned because a lot of the ones we had looked at had weight limits of 30 lbs per seat and such. But this one holds up to 50 lbs per seat. My children are 28 months and 10 months and it holds them perfectly fine. And both seats adjust to each child’s preference. I couldn’t be happier with this stroller!

  115. famof4 on September 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I was using a double stroller that was front to back, it got heavy and my children were out-growing it (they’re 3 and 1). After shopping around we decdied on this stroller, and for the price you can’t beat it!! It’s awesome, easy to turn and very lightweight. PERFECT!! Plus it’s super easy to fold up which is always a BIG plus for me…I’m so short!

  116. StlStrollermom on September 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I use this stroller everyday with my 2 yr old and my 4 month old. Walks, running, shopping and in my StrollerFit class. If you are outside and walking at a fast pace or jogging you really need to lock the front wheel which I believe is what the directions recommend anyway. It’s very lightweight and folds up easily and I can lift it into my minivan with no problem. No need to disassemble any parts as with some other strollers. The MP3 speaker works better with my nicer MP3 player. If your little ones start to lean toward the middle all you have to do is adjust the back of the seat. Takes a second to do. I’ve also used it with just my two year old in it and there is no problem with the stroller pulling to one side because of the weight difference.
Overall great product and I would recommend to anyone.

  117. unhappy mom on September 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We bought this stroller and took it to SeaWorld. The front wheel kept getting stuck and doesn’t swivel correctly making it a fight to push. We had it unlocked and checked tire pressure ect. Everything else about the stroller was nice, cup holders, storage, looks. But what good is a stroller that is terrible to push? We returned it, hang on to your receipt if you buy this stroller!

  118. Mom of girls on September 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is NOT the stroller for you if you are even somewhat serious about an excercise routine. I used this stroller for running and walking just about every day this summer. It lasted us less than one year before the front wheel broke off. Let me tell you, it’s not a pleasant experience being a mile from home with two toddlers and no stroller.

  119. Mom of 3 on September 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this jogger 3 days ago and have used it twice. I really like the features it has including: the swivel wheel, the parent tray, the movable sunshade to name a few. However upon returning home from our walk today I noticed that the jogger has a small hole on both sides where the strap that adjusts the seats connects to the seat fabric. I am going to return it and hope that it was just a defect on the manufacturing end. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced anything similar?

  120. KC on September 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Very nice! It’s very smooth and easy to push. It has adjustable seats which is great since I have a newborn and a two year old. This is the only double stroller I have, so I use it everywhere. Negatives: it’s not compact when folded and you must squeeze through doors slowly. But it fits through standard doors.

    I recommend it highly!

  121. momma of 5 on September 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Great product for the price! I walk/jog with it over somewhat even ground. (use the wheel lock if you plan to go fast. It will wobble if you don’t.) It doesn’t stray off course like my fixed wheel jogger did. The adjustable canopy is great! The speaker never worked properly and the wheel came off once at the zoo but just wasn’t put on tight enough.

  122. NurseAndMommyOf2 on September 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have actually owned 3 of this stroller, the first 2 were returned for reasons mentioned in other posts- HOWEVER, with my 3rd, I didn’t let my husband assemble it- I did. I noticed that the little hooks on the front wheel need to go into the holes on the frame. IF they aren’t in the holes-the front wheel will shake. You get everything you need in a double stroller (unless you want a tray, though this stroller has pockets on the inner side of each seat for babies snacks, sippy cups etc.) I jog with mine every night, usually atleast 2 miles. I considered getting a B.O.B Duallie Revolution but I couldn’t see spending $600 on something that my daughter would rarely use for another year (she’s almost 3). Overall, I love this stroller. It’s everything you need, fits through door ways, has parent trays, child storage, amd best of all- is under [$]

This is like pushing a really bad grocery cart. I have read the reviews (mostly negative) and thought I would see for myself. I really wanted to like this stroller. I like the colors and the price and really wanted to come home with it! I went to Babies R Us to test drive the stroller myself to see if all these bad reviews were really right….and unfortunatly they were. Just going through the store on a super smooth floor and walking at a fast pace (7 months pregnant), the front wheel jiggled like crazy, making the stroller steer where ever it wanted. Also, the front wheel would get hung up sideways when going around corners in the aisles, making the stroller just skid for a while before the wheel swiveled back around. I can’t imagine pushing it with the 100 lb weight limit on rough terrain. It took me about 2 minutes to know that I did not want to waste my money on this. What really sucks is this is the only double jogger they carry in the store.

  126. jogging mom on October 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We are expecting and have a toddler so we were looking for a double jogging stroller. we got this one and love it. we will probably use this as our everyday stroller too. it has many places to hold things. 2 pockets on back of each seat and a basket on bottom. and the front wheel that everyone is talking about has a thing that you push down to keep it from swiveling. if they had read the directions then they would know that. it is very easy to put together. i lovve it and so does my son adn my dog. haha. hope this may help with others who are looking into buying this item.

  127. Party of 4 on October 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We decided on buying this stroller because of the swivel front wheel. This combined with the large jogger tires meant to us we would no longer get stuck in cracks in the road. Initially, the front wheel would get stuck and not swivel. The stroller was very hard to steer. We used it for a whole day on our trip and the front wheel loosened up beautifully. Since that day we have not encountered any further troubles. The front wheel simply needed to be broken in.

  128. mom of twin boys on October 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

My sister bought this stroller for me because my boys are getting too big for their DuoGlider. I use it at least once a week to walk approximately a mile on a gravel road. We had a little issue with the front wheel wanting to wiggle, but my husband locked it in place and it’s worked fine. We also took it to the state fair and it was so easy to push. The storage compartment is adequate (although it looks small). Overall, I’m very pleased with this stroller.

  129. Mom of two on October 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have a three year old and a two month old and wanted a double stroller that would be easy to push and hold up to all the walking and outside activities we do. Our plan has always been for this to be primarily an outside stroller, so the size and portability was not a major concern. This stroller meets our needs, though I do think it could stand to be redesigned. I have had trouble with the front wheel shaking, but was able to fix it by letting some of the air out of the front tire. From what I can tell, because most of the weight is situated above the back wheels, if you hit uneven ground, it causes the front wheel to start rocking back and forth since there’s not much weight pushing down on it. Making it ride a little flat prevents the problem, though, with all the other complaints, I’d think the proper solution would be for the manufacturer to redesign in an effort to prevent the problem all together. Aside from the wheel issue, I like this stroller. I have discovered that it doesn’t fit through most doorways, including those at department stores, but I have a single stroller for trips to the mall, so that’s not a huge problem. Like I said, this stroller is mainly for walks, trips to the zoo, etc…It steers very easily. I’m amazed that with the weight difference between my two kids, it never pulls to the side. Both my three-year-old and two-month old seem very comfortable in it. I love how the canopy can be adjusted to any position. The IPOD dock was a selling feature for me, but turned out to be a disappointment. The “speaker” can hardly be called that. It could barely be heard and quit working after several uses. We’re surviving just fine without it, though. Love the parent tray and storage baskets, and the color scheme. For the price, it has more than enough bells and whistles to make for a comforable outing for us all. My mom even bought one for walks at her house. If you need and expect a high-end stroller or one with a lot of accessories, this is not the stroller for you.

We are short on cash and really needed this stroller so we had no choice but to simply buy the cheapest jogger in the store.

Boy are we glad we did. I can’t imagine what else this stroller could do to make us happy. Here are a few of the things we liked about it.

    1. swivel wheel can lock or swivel and is fully adjustable as far as tension and so forth

    2. Although baskets look small this stroller actually will hold a lot. Esspecially if you use the stroller hooks. You can also get into the baskets from the sides as well as the back so if the babies are sleeping you don’t have to sit them up to get into the basket.

    3. MP3 speakers!!!!!!

    4. step over wheel makes if very easy for my 2 year old daughter to get in and out herself.

    5. Pushes like its running on liquid barrings o something.

    6. Sun visor if fully adjustable so you can truely block sun. You will not need a sun shade extendor.

    7. It doesn’t take up any more room in the trunk than out single stroller. It also doesn’t weigh anymore than our graco single does.

People complained about the front wheel… we had no trouble with it at all on pavement, sand, dirt, grass… handled great all the way around.

  132. Rina on October 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am

As a Personal Trainer, avid runner, and walking being my primary mode of transpertation by choice. I had done my reserch. I took the cheapest stoller I could get four years ago when I had my first child. Two children later I was much more in tune to the nessesitys for a jogging stoller. The Baby Trend Double Jogger with swival wheel hit all of the most important attributes, locking front swival wheel. Great for taking my four year old to school. My two year old and six month old go in the seats, my four year old sits on the front platform, when I get to the top of the hill and have to turn I dont have to worry about doing a push-up and accidentally throwing him off. I simply flip a swich and can take my five mile run without any delays. Plenty of storage for snacks, toys and grocerys. The top carrier to keep my ID, money and IPod handy. With the rain gaurd and UVA/UVB gard, plus the tripple racheting canopy my kids are more than protected to the unpredictable weather on this topical island. I went through every hoop to get this stoller. […] Let me tell you, I was estatic to find out how worth it. It has been wonderful! I had a front swival wheel shake at first but the instruction manual tells you how to fix it and it is very easy. I tightened one bolt and havnt had problems since. I’ve had the stoller a total of five months now and everyday wonder how I ever settled for less. I looked and looked and not only is this stoller the cheapest one I could find that had the attributes I needed, and its the only one that had everything I needed standard. […]. To anyone considering getting this stoller, It is well worth the wait, perfect for the arround the block walker or marathon runner.

I use this product for just about everything… I’ve had it for nearly a month and if I get one of the kids out or if I’m pushing it b/c the kids now want to walk, it is very wobbley. Shakes badly. Sometimes it even shakes if both kids are in it. It’s a very big annoyance! I would probley not recommend it. It looks nice and its good for two kids, but it just shakes (bad) entirely too much. The good things about it: it has a hook up for your ipod… but you can hardly hear it.! Not even worth attaching your ipod to πŸ™ It is pretty light weight, and easy to stow. That’s about it. sorry…

I like it alot….it is true what they say about the wheel shaking, but if you read the directions and loosen the bolt they say to it won’t do it anymore! both babies LOVE it…the only thing is sometimes there in there seats and the seats dive in on the side that goes to the middle on both seats…you just have to mess with it to fix it….for the price…it is amazing! if i had to i would get again!

  136. Mommy of 2 on November 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This jogger is awful. I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old and this thing was a nightmare. First off, please be advised that there is no divider bar or anything, so basically it is one big seat with a flap down the middle to look like 2 seats. My children sank towards the middle and were sitting leaned into eachother. It has nothing to do with the weight difference. This would happen no matter what size they were. Its not good for the kids backs and they cant say much so its up to us as parents to look out for these kinds of things. There are other reviews on this thing that state the same thing. There is a double mini baby jogger/stroller out now that is the same color as this, although it does come in red/black as well, and that is what I am getting. It is almost four hundred dollars, but its worth it and you wont have to deal with a piece of garbage like this. Do your kids a favor and go with the other one. Just look under joggers in the category box at this site and you will find it. […]Don’t always go with the good reviews on these things. Definitely consider the bad ones because if someone cares so much as to warn other parents out there, then its worth considering. All you have to do is go to a Babies R Us store and look at this thing yourself. I hope I am sparing someone the hassle I went through with this. It was not fun. Not to mention its enormous. Will not fit in a compact size car’s trunk. I didn’t even want to give this one star, but it wouldnt let me submit this review without some sort of star rating. I give it NO STARS. If anything, it owes me stars.

  138. Kevin on November 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Bought this stroller and returned it the next day. It advertises a “swivel” wheel all over the box. I thought it would be great, but the booklet tells you that you can’t jog with the wheel in “swivel” mode – ridiculous! Great price, but falsley advertised – not for someone who is actually going to jog with this stroller.

  139. Mom 2 twin boys on November 8th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This double jogging stroller is one of the least expensive you can find, if not thee least expensive. So if you are on a tight budget, this stroller is an excellent value. I think you can get an In Step double for the same price, but it does not have 2 things that I like that this Baby Trend does. It has the ratcheting hood, very useful here to keep the hot desert sun out of the baby’s face. Also it has a very nice size parent tray, very handy to have for 2 drinks, keys, wallet, iPod, etc. Under storage is a good size and I can access it easily from the side when the seats are reclined. The pockets behind the seats hold a lot too. My boys lean into each other when seated but they don’t seem to mind. It doesn’t look comfy to me, but they quickly fall asleep so I guess they are comfy enough. Hopefully the seat doesn’t sag more as they get heavier. They are about 20 and 21 lbs. They may not be happy about it when they are older though, they are only 14 months now. The mp3 speaker is not even worth mentioning. Fortunately my iPhone has it’s own speaker and I just tuck it into the pocket in the hood and my boys can listen to their favorite tunes as we stroll.Pushing and steering are light and easy most of the time. However I have already had issues with the front swivel wheel in the one week that I have used this. First it would get stuck in the left turn position. I had my husband put a little WD40 to help lubricate the swivel and that did help. But then it slipped a little too easy and would pull to the left. Perhaps the wheel brace became bent when it got stuck and I tried to push and pull the stroller. Upon close look at the front swivel in the locked position, it does look like the wheel and it’s frame are leaning as opposed to straight from top to bottom. I also checked the nut under the foot plate and it is firm. The wheel tension is properly installed per the directions. Unfortunately it does still occasionally get stuck in the turn position and I have to lift the front end and try to wiggle it loose. I don’t want to shove it out of it’s stuck position for fear of bending the wheel frame even more. Over all it still is fairly easy to maneuver seems to run fine. Although I have not tested it at a fast speed. I would definitely make sure to lock the swivel wheel when jogging, walking fast or walking on uneven ground to keep the stroller stable. I am annoyed with the wheel problems, but my hubby does not see it as a big deal (yet). We could exchange it for another, but we are not sure we’d get a stroller with a better wheel. It could end up the same way. Especially since so many others have had the similar issues. I wonder if I could take this thing to a bike mechanic and have them fix the wheel problems (hmmm). I am also considering a Tike Tech Trax360 Double instead, but am not totally sold on that either. I would love a BOB, but it’s way to expensive for my blood. Do I really need a 5 year stroller anyway? A few years from now my kids may only want to ride in a wagon or walk. This is fine as a 2 year stroller and is priced accordingly so. I think I’ll give this stroller another week and see if it gets any worse before I decide if I want to exchange it or get something different. If we do keep this stroller, I probably will be giving Baby Trend customer service a call. I would recommend this stroller if on a budget. I would also say, if you want something better or if you are a serious jogger, be prepared to pay twice as much money or more.

I have had the stroller for less than 24 hours and I already have to return it. The wheels are a disaster! Even after giving them air twice, they are still flat, the front “swivel” wheel is a disaster, and the back wheel blew out already. What a tremendous waste of my time!

I love this stroller. After struggling for a year with the Graco Duo Glider I am in heaven. This stroller is wonderful you can steer it with one hand. Which is so important in the middle of a melt down. I have a three year old and a one year old. They fit great in it. They stay in their seats and don’t fall towards the middle. We have gone on so many more adventures because of this stroller. I didn’t realize how much I disliked my other stroller until I bought this one. I let my sister use is she is a nanny and she said it’s one of the best she’s ever used. She’s seen them all believe me. It is a little hard to get thru some doorways but it’s a minor inconvenience.

I bought this stroller 4 months ago and am looking for a new one already. I previously had a Baby Trend double jogging stroller without the swivel front wheel and thought this new version would solve my problems. I was wrong! I do love the parent tray, which is a rare find, and hard plastic foot rest is far better than the rubber ones from umbrella strollers, and the swivel wheel is great, in theory. The stroller is wider than most, and the front wheel does shake, especially when there isn’t enough weight. I had tightened the bolt for the front wheel, which did stop the shaking, but then it was a struggle to get it to turn. When I found a happy medium tension, it was only a week before it was shaking again because it loosened up on its own. It is very bulky, putting it in the back of my van is very difficult, when I open the rear hatch, I have to catch it before it crashes to the ground! I also had to replace 2 of the three tire tubes after puchasing because they had holes in them. I had it serviced at a bike shop to try to fix the shaking, but no luck. The price is so tempting, but I guess you really do get what you pay for!

Love this item and would definitely reccommed it for any parent of two. My oldest is 3 (and very tall for his age) and my youngest is 6 months. I’ve been using it almost everyday for the past two months and don’t have a single complaint. They both fit great in the stroller, and seem comfortable. I don’t use the front swivel wheel – I keep it in lock postion because it maneuvers better. The speaker isn’t that loud, but honestly, that’s not the main reason I bought the jogger. Overall, great price and great buy!

This stroller covers all the bases for my 2 kids, ages 32 months and 6 months. I walk 2 miles daily for cardio, on a paved bikepath and with the wheel locked, it performs without problems. (I had the one-seat version first and it is still in great shape after more than 2 years). For strolling to the park, around town or through stores, the swivel wheel sometimes sticks but can be fixed just by pulling the wheel forward about 1/4 rotation. It then manuvers well even with one hand. It is a cinch to fold, lock in the closed position and pop into my Nissan Murano. The kids don’t have tons of move-around room, but my tall older child has ample head and foot support. Though I do notice that the seats slant slightly towards the middle. The cupholders and storage baskets cary plents. And it easily fits through entry doors. If I was going off-road or logging many running miles, I may have chosen a higher-end performance jogger. But for the price point and versatility, you can’t beat it.

  145. Mommy on November 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I’ve read a lot of reviews about this stroller being too wide, but despite researching, including the Baby Trend website, I could find no actual dimensions. So, I took it upon myself to measure the stroller at the store and it is approx. 33″ wide – too wide for standard doors. Also, the floor model was broken. The canopy had snapped. If it can’t survive being a floor model, how is this stroller going to survive years of multi-child abuse? I guess, like others have said, you get what you pay for.

  146. Beans'Mom on November 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

i really wanted to love this stroller. compared to the fixed-wheel double jogger i had before, this is 100% better but it had a couple of issues that were real deal-breakers. the mp3 player was great, as was the ratcheting canopy and it was light as a feather and very easy to steer. the problem was that my twins generally slumped together unless fully reclined because there’s no separation between the seats when upright. the wobble really got to me after a while because although it wasn’t bad in the beginning, after the first two months it did it ALL THE TIME at a moderately brisk walk. even my engineer husband couldn’t fix it, and the stroller isn’t really a long-term, grow-with-your-child kind of deal. at 13 months, my 20-pound twins were already straining the seats. and although it’s supposed to fit through standard doorways, the wheels were a tight fit everywhere and a no-go in some situations.this would be a great stroller for Grandma’s house or for lighter, occasional use for littler kids. i finally picked up a used mountain buggy that weighs about 30 pounds but keeps my girls from pulling out each others’ hair and stealing each others’ binkies, fits EVERYWHERE, never wobbles EVER and it’s so much better than this guy– even without the music. if you’re not planning on using it for more than a year, go for this one. otherwise, spend this much plus some to get something you won’t eventually hate and sell on […].

  147. Mommy of 2, nanny of 1 on November 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

In the store, this jogger seemed great, but it is hard to get in and out of doors because of the size, it doesn’t manuver all that easily and it’s extremely heavy and bulky. We were not impressed with the umbrella on top, and with two kids, the umbrella can only be placed one way. Meaning… if one child is sleeping, you can’t cover just them without covering the other child. There is little storage room for diaper bags and such, and no cup holders or trays for the kids. It says you can hook up an MP3, but we had a hard time getting it to work, and gave up, never using the feature.

  148. Dad extraordinare on December 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Pretty darn satisfied with this. As others have said the two seats slope towards each other, but not a big deal. Very worth the money spent. Would buy again.

  149. Walking mom of 2 on December 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

The stroller is very easy to manuver though it is a little wide. Even with my 3 year old one one side I had and easy time pushing and steering. The feature I was most excited about did dissapoint, the MP3 speaker hardly works. If you were outside walking you couldnt hear it over your own footsteps:( Other than that I am happy with the stroller.

  150. peggy on December 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is our second Baby Trend Expedition stroller. The first one lasted through 8 years and 4 kids and lots of trail running. The newer version is a lot more stylish looking, easier to push, and we enjoy the swivel wheel, but having no hand break is a problem. Also, the mp3 speaker doesn’t work — you can barely hear it even when your ear is pressed up against the side of the stroller. But our biggest complaint is the cheap inner tubes in the tires. We have had the stroller 3 months and have already had 5 flats!

  151. abby on December 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Overall, I like this stroller a lot. I use it for a 31/2 year old (very tall boy) and a 10 month old. It is easy to push/steer and folds up easily. But, I have had it roll very easily. Always use the break even if you think you’re on a flat surface!

  152. Kevin ther Regular Runner on December 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This has been an awesome stroller. Can’t beat it for the money!!! I run every other day with my 20-month old on uneven sidwalks and haven’t had any problems. I have a bicycle computer on it and have put almost 200 miles on it so far! My wife uses the stroller to go to her Stroller fit class with our two daughters (20 and 3 months). It has worked great for trips to the zoo, festivals, pumpkin patching, and shopping at the mall as well. This stroller has been through just about everything with us. It fits through most doors, and folds small enough to fit in the trunk of our Pontiac G6. I have tightened the wheel once, but considering how hard we’ve been on it, I’m very impressed with this stroller.

  153. A very unhappy mom! on December 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller is HORRIBLE! We purchased it after my second son was born and immediately returned it after taking it out for one walk! It says each seat holds 50lbs, well my older son is 30lbs and my 3mth old is 16lbs and when they sit in it they both sink into the middle! The baby wouldnt sit in it bc he kept slumping over to the side! I guess thats what you get for that kind of money. We have since purchased another stroller that we are very happy with, but I just didnt want anyone else to waste their time…or money on this stroller!

  154. Busy Grandma on December 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Purchasers are going to have better luck with this stroller if they really understand what to expect from a jogging stroller. Because there is only one front wheel, the weight must be balanced in both seats. I bought this to use with twins, which is ideal. Putting a 3-year-old in one seat and an infant in the other, for example, just wont’ work safely. For that you need a jogging stroller that has two sets of wheels in front. Additionally, while I find this stroller somewhat awkward to fold, it is NOT HEAVY. Compared to other double strollers that I have seen, it is significantly lighter. Also, because it is designed for jogging, don’t expect it to carry large diaper bags or have cup holders—not designed for that! It does have two storage baskets and two expandable pockets, which are quite good. My complaint with this stroller is that the front wheel does not turn smoothly (perhaps just a defect with my individual unit). I really need a stroller that I can take easily in and out of my SUV, and this isn’t good for that. I’m going to return this stroller and look at the Baby Jogger City Mini. I think this is a good price, but I would probably only recommend this stroller for use with young twins, and primarily for walking or jogging and not general “in and out of the car” use.

  155. twingirlsunder2 on December 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I Love it. It glides so easy, my other stroller I had was awful it was so hard to push and turn. My girls loved being able to climb in the stroller by themself. I haven’t tested the speakers out, but thats not important to me. I wanted something that was easy to get in and out of my two-door hatchback and we push with ease (I’m generally out by myself) I was debating between this one and another one, but got this because the basket space was slighty bigger and also had cup-holders for parents.

  156. Mom of 2 on January 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller right after my 2nd son was born…so 10 months ago. It was great at first. My 3 year old and then newborn fit in it great. I had a hard time getting through standard doors. When I took it to Disney, I couldn’t get it through the gate at the Magic Kingdom. Very embarrasing! I wish it had a bigger basket underneath but I got used to it. I didn’t start having problems with it until recently when the front tire wouldn’t turn. My husband took it apart and found the ball bearing was broke. Another downfall is that you can’t machine wash the fabric. Mine got so dirty from my boys juice and whatever else they ate. The back boards don’t come out to wash. I figured they would have to be plastic since they couldn’t be removed. I tried to was it anyway and they broke in half. Needless to say, I bought a new jogger (Instep Safari) and I hope it is better than this one!

I needed a double stroller for a preschooler and a baby to ride in while I walked off the baby weight. This one does the trick. I love how easy it is to steer, the parent tray is a plus, Great storage on the bottom.
I mostly use it for walking around the neighborhood (5 miles a day), trips to the zoo, and it was great at Disney. I don’t think this is ment for real running.
It is easy to fold up and put in the trunk, It is big and bulky, but what do you expect from a jogging stroller. If you want small get an umbrella stroller.
    Great value for the money.

  158. mom of three under three on January 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller handles like a dream. It took me under 10 minutes to assemble when I got it home. I have the same brand in a single stroller and I couldn’t be happier. It folds down compact and I can fit it in my Honda Pilot with the single stroller and my three kids. (two years old and 6 month old twins.) I can already tell I will not need to ever buy another stroller. The only down side I can see with this stroller is that it will be pretty useless at the mall. It is just too wide to fit down certain store isles. I would rather have this downside than the previous inline stroller I had, where the twins were already cramped and who ever sat behind, would kick the one in front.

WE bought this product in the stere. We had just been to REI and saw and touched the bob revolution dual rider stroller and… it’s Awesome!! But if you can’t afford the average [$] retail price you will have to find a happy medium. This is it. It’s more along the lines of an all terrain/shopping stroller. We aren’t really that interested in jogging with it. After much deliberation around what to do in our very deep snowy weather for me to run errands conveniently we decided this was our best option. It is really a great color. It’s super convenient as far as parents who want a beverage and a place to put a ready-to-eat snack and go shopping. It fits fine anywhere there is a wheelchair friendly environment. The wheels remove so easily, it’s easily assembled and I can lift it in and out of my van without a problem. The kids are so comfortable (3 and 1 year olds) that they like to set it up and watch movies in it. As always the shade could offer more coverage; but it shouldn’t overlooked that it doesn’t attach permanently to the base of the stroller so you can tip the visor to be directly in front of them if the sun is there. We are taking this to Disney World (renting a car). At the airport we plan to take it to the gate. They love being together and the ride is nice.

Stroller works well over rough terrain, on the beach, just about anywhere.
It holds my 3 year old, 2 year old and sometimes when my 5 year old gets tired he sits in the middle. It works great.

I did have a problem with the front wheel when I first got it, but once I lubed the front bearings it was fine.

  161. Massage Mama on February 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Great for walking off the baby weight. Needed a stroller that would fit a 3 1/2 yr old and a new baby coming in March. I was concerned about the weight difference in the kids and how safe it would be so I put my 3 yr old in one seat and her baby doll in the other seat and took it for a test spin around the streets in my neighborhood. I find this stroller rides like a dream; you barely have to push it and it goes and turns smoothly. I never felt like it would tip or roll over and I purposely messed with it to see. Even though it is bulky it is really easy to fold down and back up and fits in the back of my smaller model Trailblazer. I don’t see it being practical for in and out of the trunk throughout the day (it is bulky) or for shopping as it is a wide stroller, except maybe at the mall. But for use around the neighborhood to walk or jog it is great. I plan to take it camping and see how it does on unpaved dirt roads around the campsite. Also love the dual drink/bottle holders and compartment to put keys, or a small diaper and a few wipes, your shades, whatever.

I go on walks every day & have enjoyed this stroller. I know it’s not top of the line but I think it’s a good value for the price. I haven’t had any problems with the wheels. I will say that the whole MP3 speaker thing is a joke. You can’t hear out of it. But I love the parent tray with 2 cup holders & another compartments & it is a smooth ride.

  163. Mom of 2 under 2 on March 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller had the potential to be great. It looked nice, had the kids sitting next to each other and it was a nice looking jogger. However, with more use, it was awful. The worst part was the front wheel. It doesn’t swivel at all and it makes turning so hard. I have read multiple reviews of this stroller and have heard this complaint many times. The seats are OK, but they are a little crooked when you try and put them up and down. I had to go buy a different stroller.

  164. Melanie, mommy of 2, last on the way on March 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use the stroller for my 19 mo. old son and 7 mo. old daughter. I love the 5 point harness and the storage underneath and pockets behind the seats. The fact that each seat reclines individually is great too! I also love the front swivel wheel. Much easier to turn than regular strollers. However, I do wish that the harnesses adjusted.

  165. momma613 on March 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Hubby and I bought this as an impulse purchase one evening. We thought it was cute and it worked well in the store. When we got it home, I read some reviews and made him keep the box! A few days and a lot of use later, the box was out the door. I have had no issues with this stroller at all. It turns on a dime. I suspect that those complaining it doesn’t swivel well simply have it put together incorrectly. You can set it so it does not swivel, if you so want. It’s all in the instructions. πŸ˜‰ Nice smooth ride and the kiddos love it! Zero issues with getting this in and out of standard doors. We love it for the mall with all the storage underneath. We had no issues with the two of them leaning or falling on each other while sleeping. They have slept in it three times now and there’s 2 years between them. It’s perfectly fine for two different sized children. We don’t feel the need for the music so I can’t comment on that. It seemed loud enough for the boys the one time we played with it though. It is big and a little heavy for me, but that would be true with any double jogger. Overall awesome stroller!

  166. Mom of 2 girls on March 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

After having my 2nd baby, I no longer was able to use our Bugaboo Chameleon. With a very active 2 year old and now 5 month old, I needed a double stroller so I could try and walk off some extra baby weight. I looked at the reviews online and decided to go with something economical yet sturdy and I am glad I chose this one! It was extremely easy to assemble, and collapses easily for storage. The ride is very smooth and I love the cup holders/compartment tray and extra storage below. I have had no problems with the wheels and it handles so well (better than my bugaboo. This is a great buy!!!

  167. Disappointed! on March 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought and returned 4 of these strollers within 1 month. Why was I so crazy? I really wanted this stroller. I thought it was perfect for my needs. After weeks of internet searches, comparing strollers, and reading reviews, I went to the store 4 times in 2 weeks to test drive their floor model. I brought my 2yr old and 5 month old to test it out too. I loved how easy it was to push and steer it. It was a dream. I love the ratcheting canopy, the parent tray, the storage, individually reclining seats, etc. I just loved it. So, I bought one. After I put it together and was pushing it around my home, I noticed the wheel did not turn well at all. It was NOT locked, I checked. It would just skid sideways and not turn. This was a deal breaker. I already had a stroller that was difficult to steer. So, I exchanged it. The second stroller turned well and seemed wonderful. We took it to the mall for a test drive and when I went to put it in the car, I noticed that the trigger on the left side to collapse the stroller wouldn’t pull. Then, I realized that it was because it was never locked! It was broken straight out of the box! So, I returned it. At this point, I took a moment and called the manufacturer. I told them about my difficulties with their strollers and that I was actually considering getting a third one. I wanted some kind of reassurance of good customer service in the event that I got a stroller that wasn’t broken before I got to use it. What if something breaks after 3 mos? After 15 min of going through a looped recorded message, a rep finally answered the phone. The rep told me that these things happen and that there is a 6 mos warranty. They would send out a prepaid shipping label and have the stroller back to me in about 2 weeks. She had a very matter of fact tone. Just from that conversation, I got the impression that my business didn’t matter. I didn’t trust that I would be helped if I needed it. With that said, yes, I did go on to buy it again. I really wanted this stroller. I decided to change vendors and ordered 2 online through a major retailer […] I ordered 2 because I was no longer confident that I would get a stroller that wasn’t defective. Yes, I did still want this stroller. […] I was very excited. Unfortunately, my excitement was shortlived when I pulled them out of the box. Zip ties had been already cut off of them and thrown in the box, the tires were covered in a sticky grease, and the paint was all chipped away where the swivel wheel attaches… on BOTH strollers. I was going to overlook the fact that I was obviously getting someones returns. We took one to the mall for a test drive. It was great… until we left. As I stepped off of the sidewalk onto the parking lot, it began to violently shake. It shook so strongly that, if I had been actually jogging, it surely would have flipped upside down and my girls’ faces would have hit the pavement. Most of these defects were more irritating than anything but the shaking and broken latch put my children at risk. So, 4 strollers later, I’m done. I wish this stroller wasn’t such a poorly made piece of garbage. I would not recommend anyone buy this stroller. I saw similar reviews but took a chance… I took 4 chances. Don’t waste your time, gas, and money in shipping. Spend a little more and get a product you can trust.

  168. MomOf3yrand18mos on March 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We use this stroller for neighborhood walks, the zoo, museum and even in the mall though it is a bit wide for indoor. I love this stroller. It does have a downside- the seats do cause them to lean to the middle when sitting at the steepest upright position because of a poorly constructed adjustment strap, but other than that I have no complaints. It turns with one finger and is very sturdy. It is like a traveling kid center- they can eat in it, nap in it, ride happily, etc.. the mp3 player isn’t loud enough but the kids love to have their songs playing on it too. Great storage and cup holder for adults. I don’t jog with it so can’t comment there but highly recommend it for all day outdoor outings etc.
    Would buy it again.

  169. iluvbeingmama on March 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is the stroller I originally picked out but hesitated on ordering it. I wish I hadn’t ordered it now. The front wheel assembly is terrible. It vibrated terribly when I was walking with it, even at a snails pace. My husband who is very handy could not find a way to make it stop doing that other than locking the wheel and then you can barely turn the darn thing at slow speeds.

The MP3 speaker is a joke, it crackled and popped when we tried to use it. Iwasn’t blasting the music, it just was a low quality speaker that was hot glued to the wiring for the mp3 connection.

Another thing I didn’t like was my daughter leaned toward the midddle, she is 2 and weighs 32 lbs. she kept leaning her elbow onto the baby to try and sit upright. She was also uncomfortable, the backs don’t go up all the way like reg stroller and she was holding her head up to look around, not relaxing.

We are now looking again for another double. I don’t think the perfect, affordable double stroller exists.

Contacted tru and they are taking back stroller with full refund, good company.

It did have it’s good points
    1. Lightweight, easy to lift
    2. Easy to fold and unfold
    3. Very easy to put together

I had researched every stroller out there. I decided that I could afford either this stroller or the safari by instep. I tried both and they are practically identical. So I opted to save the money and bought this one. So far so good. I had trouble with the front swivel wheel, but I took it off and installed it again and now I don’t have any issues with it. The seats are on the cheap side but they do their job. The basket underneath is kind of a joke, it’s small and hard to get to, but I make do. The height of the stroller is perfect, I’m 5’7. Turns great, easy to push even with bigger children. Folds well. Shade works moderately well. Good parent tray. the safety straps are made for smaller children, my 2 year old is pushing the length on them, but he’s tall. Hope this helps others trying to make a decision.

  171. Momma of twins and singles on March 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use this stroller just about every other day and I love it. The swivel wheel is awesome. I love the sturdy parent tray and it collapses so easy. I had a Instep before this and it was awful. For the money this is a great stroller. I would and have recomended this to others. Too many people don’t like the speaker I figure it is more for the kids than me and I just wish it had a cup holder for the kids. Then again the doubles that do have them are either front/back tandem strollers or super expensive.

  172. Mother of Twins on March 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stoller about 6 months ago and love it. I have a previous double jogging stroller that didn’t turn well and was so surprised by the difference of having one that that works well. I run at least twice a week with my 2 year old twins. Like other reviews, the MP3 hookup is a joke. I have not had any problems with the tires locking or unlocking or holding air. I have refilled the tires once since I bought it, but the last stroller was refilled 3 times in the same time frame. This is the cheapest double stroller on the market with a pivoting wheel, I wonder if some of the issues with wheel locking and maintaining air is putting it together. I did read a comment about the front tire shaking uncontrollably. I have experienced that when going too fast with the front wheel not locked into position. If you are a frequent runner, you will find that with any stroller that the front wheel doesn’t lock and you are going too fast (running or walking). I find the stoller easy to fold up and is lighter than my back-to-back double stroller. It is more bulky and heavier than a single stroller, but no more so than any other double stroller that I’ve had (jogging and non-jogging). I now use this stroller exclusively for all of my needs, running, walking and shopping. I have been very pleased with its performance and quality for the price. I also have not had an issue with the center support, whereas I did have that issue with the last jogger. It needs to be tightened and put into place when the children are not sitting in it to get a tight fit.

I took my two boys jogging on base and it flies, I love it and the boys enjoy the ride as well. The little compartments below are perfect for carrying diapers and wipes, my purse and some coloring activites for when we stopped at the park.
I also brought lunch and snacks, drinking cups and my cell phone fits on the top compartment along with me house keys. I can hook up my MP3 player and we all listened to music while I jogged. THanks so much for great quality.

We are very happy with the purchase of this stroller. We bought it specifically for Disneyland for our 4 year old and 4 month old. Despite the size difference between the two of them it worked great. Our son is 40lb and our daughter is 16lb. We had a lot of people comment on how nice it would have been for them too have had one of their own. Great deal

I hate this stroller. If you are using it for running and walks only it’s great. If you plan on going anywhere with it you can’t fit in the doorway. The back of the stroller is so large you can’t take it anywhere but the outdoors and […]. It’s larger than a wheel chair.

  176. Mom of 2 on April 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

We didn’t want to spend a fortune on a stroller for our 2 1/2 year old and 8 month old so after a week of online research and pushing strollers around I decided on this one. So glad I did! My husband is 6’3″ and I am 5’4″ and we both enjoy pushing this around. It doesn’t bother either of our backs. I have only jogged with it once. I use it a couple of times a week in our neighborhood and have taken it to the zoo. We usually do 2-3 miles at a time and the kids are comfortable. Sun shade is not great though. We haven’t had any problems with the wheels. The foot rest was cracked when we took it out of the box but I called Baby Trend and they had a new one on my doorstep in 5 days. I would recommend this!

This is a WONDERFUL stroller…I initially bought it because I am training for a marathon and thought I would keep my double inline for store runs and the mall, etc. but this stroller works so well I am tempted to sell my other because I can’t imagine pushing that heavy and akward inline after using this! It fits in MOST doorways and tuns so easy! I can even take it in the bathroom stalls when my two year old has to go! The only thing I would like for it to have in a bar in front of the kids…and I wish it was carseat adaptable if we have another baby.

  178. Colleen on April 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Front wheel worked for about a month and then the whole thing would shake. You have to keep the wheel locked at all times and then you can’t turn it. Just bought a BOB stroller because this one was Cheap and Cheaply made! Only buy it if you aren’t going to use it a lot.

  179. mom of two on April 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

    love everything about it.
except… it doesnt mention that it is not able to fit through a standard door. yes, it is wider than a wheelchair, and will not fit through the door of many places, including my local postoffice and bank. so forget doing errands while out with this stroller. also, the seperate reclining seats are as they stated, you can have one laying down, both laying down, or both sitting up. however, to make this happen, it is a strap with a clasp and you have to get down there and actually adjust the strap in the clasp. like a seatbelt clasp. would have preferred a lever.
other than that… love it love it. and the kids love it love it.

  180. Mom to 2 crazy kids on April 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this to start jogging and possible train for a marathon. It is lightweight and I was excited about the MP3 Player. Even with the wheel locked it started shaking if I did more than a brisk walk or a very slow jog. If you are using for just strolling in the park it is great and maneuvers very smoothly. Folds very easily and I loved the colors. Just really not the stroller for serious joggers/runners.

  181. Mom of Toddlers on April 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I checked out several double jogging strollers, and this was my favorite for two reasons:
    1) the sun shade can pivet all the way down infront on the occupants. I frequently walk direclty into the sun in the evenings and this was a wonderful feature for my kids.
    2) the storage underneath does not have the a bar running across it like many other stroller do. The storage is devided, but only by flexible cloth, so you can still scrunch just about anything you need in there.

I love the swivel wheel; you can turn this stoller on a dime. Great for the farmers market. The front wheel does wobble a bit if you are walking fast and it is not locked in, but it is easy enough to lock it in and avoid that problem.

My 18 mo and 3 yr old fit into it great. Both love going for walks and this makes it so much easier. We take this stoller off-road all the time and the large wheels are great on dirt trails. The manufacterers should call these “All-Terrain Strollers” instead of “Jogging Strollers”.

  182. mommy of 2 on April 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this stroller for my 3 yr. old and 1 year old. It looks good and I love all the features, except if you even try to do a brisk walk (not even jogging) the front wheel starts to wobble so bad that the stroller will almost turn over. And to try and jog….completely out of the’ll shake so bad that you just have to completely stop before the children are hurt. We wasted a lot of money on this and are trying to figure out what to buy next. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING unless you’re just going to push it around your driveway!

  183. Mom of 2 under 3 in TX on April 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

After searching Craigslist for a while and not finding what I wanted I finally bought a new double jogging stroller, but it also happened to be the cheapest double jogging stroller I could find brand new too, under $200! I was a little nervous that it would be a disappointment since it was the cheapest in the world of double jogging strollers, kind of like “you get what you pay for” type of worry. But I feel like I hit the jackpot instead!

It’s the Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogging Stroller w/a lockable swivel front wheel and I LOVE it!! I just used it today for the first time and was so excited. It rides smoothly, easy to steer, both seats recline independantly of each other and they have a mesh pocket for each child for drink or snacks w/in their reach, lots of storage! A pocket in the back of each seat, a basket below and a parent tray w/a lid and 2 drink holders. It also has a built in canopy speaker for use w/MP3 player but I love how the canopy will tilt forward and back so that you can be sure to be able to block the sun from baby’s eyes no matter what. There is also a little “sun roof” in the canopy so you can see your babies while you’re strolling/running. It was also very easy to put together; I did it myself in less then 20min.

  184. MomofaToddler&NB on April 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I searched the internet for reviews on double strollers, and finally decided I would be getting a side by side (or twin) not a front an back double stroller. I researched every brand, every price, comfort, wieght, manueverability…and this by FAR is the best choice for what WE needed. The price is exceptionally reasonable for a double stroller AND for a double JOGGING stroller its absolutely THE BEST!

Those who say the front wheels wobbles may not have it locked properly. I read the reviews and made sure my husband was aware of this “potential problem” while he took it running, but we have yet to have problems. I love that the front wheel swivels, and that both seats recline individually. The straps to recline the seats take a little extra time but it is not a chore at all. My 2 year old and infant are both comfortable and content, and I can have them both at ears range…which is why I chose NOT to get a front and back double stroller.

The canopy is another plus, it folds all the way down for the best sun coverage. Most jogging strollers or double stroller for that matter do not have that option and the sunshade just becomes a nuisance. I also like the 5-point harness, this allows me as a paranoid mom to feel comfortable about having my little one safely strapped in.

The back wheels come off easily and in seconds to make the fold up even more compact, and makes fitting it in the back of our Xterra breeze! I was very content with the space under and loved that each child seat has a back pocket to keep their toys, cups, snacks, diapers, wipes etc. Not to mention it comes with TWO parent cup holders and a storage compartment, major PLUS for us since most double strollers offered NO cup holders for parents or child.

The ONLY complaint I have is it is quite difficult to fit in a store or through the mall, but this is true of most side by side strollers. That being said, I wouldnt pay the same amount just to have a smaller stroller. My kids are comfortable, Im comfortable, and we have plenty of storage space! GREAT BUY!

  185. momx4 on April 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller when we got our twins. I love it. The front wheel did wobble a bit, but my hubbie tightened it and it is great. I walk and jog on dirt and street. It is a bit wide, but we make do. I love that I can put my kids’ ipod with kids songs on for them and listen to my own while walking. It manuevers very easily. I can take it anywhere on the ranch and not worry about getting stuck. We are buying a second one because my first is so beat up. (I’m hard on my strollers – they get tossed in and out of truck beds frequently.) It cleans up nicely when you take the time to do so! πŸ™‚

I have a 20 month old and a 3 month old so I need a decent double stroller. I looked at a few other brands but most were either WAY out of my price range or poorly built. We were at the store looking at another brand, decided not to get it and were about to leave when I spotted this one. We got it down, and I wheeled it all over the store. I opened and closed it several times. I loved how easy it was to push. It was a little hard to get use to taking it down and up, but i quickly got the hang of it. The ONLY compliant I have so far is that it’s heavy for me. I’m 4 foot 10. I can lift it in and out of the car but it’s not the easiest. Overall I love the look, the price and the ease. Both my kids had no problem in it. The Ipod or Mp3 player feature is [*] really, but the pocket is useful.

We love this stroller! This is our 3rd double stroller. 1st we had a jeep tandem which we hated it was terrible to steer. Then we got a jeep double umbrella stroller. We loved that one expecially with the &80 price tag. We’ve had it a year and a half and it’s pretty wore out. We’ve tried out lots & lots of strollers and this one pushed so effortlessly. Our kids are about 20 lbs & 30 lbs. And with the umbrella stroller it was getting harder to push but this new one is a breeze!! It doesn’t fold up very small so if you have a small vehicle that could be a problem. But other wise this is a fabulous stroller at a great price!!

  188. 4 n 4 reproductions on April 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My kids are 3, 5, 1 and 1. We purchased the stroller to take to Mardi Gras.

Bad News: The seat tore after the 1st week(I believe my older two tore it getting in and out of it). The canopy bar broke soon after that(this came from putting it in the trunk of our van too roughly).

Good News: None of the bad news has affected the overall operation of the stroller. The tear is not very noticeable and the canopy still works fine.
The stroller is easy to push and turn. It collapses easily. It fits in the Odessey trunk even with bunches of other stuff in there with it. The twins have no problem falling to sleep in it. There is no dividinvg bar between the seats but they don’t seem to mind at all. The seats don’t sit straight up but again they don’t seem to mind. My 3 year old can fit if one of the twins wants to walk. The storage at the bottom is large. I don’t use the MP3 player. The drink tray could fit better but there is plenty of storage for keys and phones and stuff on the canopy. It fits through most doors with some effort.

Overall I enjoy it. My husband thought it was too expensive but he likes to buy used items AND he only paid for it he doesn’t actually use it.

I am training for a race, and because I am a SAHM, I have to train with my children. The children are 4 and 5, and I wanted something that would hold both of them comfortably, and that I was still able to easily maneuver.

I look at a $600 stroller, and was having a hard time parting with that much money. I decided to look at Babies R Us, just in case they had something better. I was thrilled to find this stroller. The quality isn’t much different than the $600.

The only, mild, complaint is that the iPod speaker stopped working. Only because I have to store the stroller outside, and it probably got wet. Still a bummer though.

  190. Mom of almost 4 yr old and a 20 month on May 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I will only be using this for walking since I don’t run…I love it. It’s very smooth and turns so easily. I’m able to walk my dog and push the kiddos at the same time. I love that there are speakers for my ipod. There’s tons of room for storage. I wish I would have gotten this a long time ago!!! This may not be top of the line, but it’s perfect for us. Spending tons of $ on something I’m only going to use for 2 or 3 years is ridiculous! No complaints.

  191. Mom of 4 month and 2&1/2 Year old on May 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I used it for a 5K Walk this weekend and It made my trip amazing. My 2 year old loves it too- he refuses to sit in any other stoller we have owned. I love the swivel wheel. Great storage. The key and drink compartment for the adult is awesome too. It doesn’t fit easily in doorways but I did maneuver the mall (once so far) and that wasn’t bad. The only negative I really had was the width of the awning- sturdy and easy to position, but could be a few inches wider. Used a seat cushion for the 4 month old and it was perfect. GREAT PURCHASE!

  192. Munch on May 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really like this stroller. I read every review on every stroller out there. I was actually going to buy another stroller until the lst minute when I saw this one. I was hesitant at first because of the price point, I thought it may not be as good as some of the others out there. But I was pleasantly surprised. I have 5 month old twins, and we have a very active outdooor lifestyle. This stroller goes through dirt and rocks with ease! It is very easy to handle and is a cinch to fold up! The awning is great it pivots wherever you need it, and even at 5 months my babies rode in it very comfortably! I also have a 3 year old that rides on the front wheel well. It works great, because he still gets tired sometimes, and he can ride on the front, and you don’t even know he is there! Great stroller, Especially for the price point!

  193. Mom of Twins on May 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have 9 month old twin boys and was looking for a good stroller that was easy to use. I had a different double stroller and didn’t really enjoy it. My husband bought me this for Mother’s day and I LOVE IT. It was easy to assemble and it is so nice to push. I feel like it moves itself. I haven’t tried jogging with it but I do know that it has a nut that you can tighten if they front wheel shakes when you are jogging.

  194. Hickorydickory on May 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this last week and I really love it. I often walk w/ just one child and it doesn’t pull w/ only one seat taken. I have two (7 & 15 mo) and it works fabulously w/ the 20+ lb weight difference of the kids too. Wheels are fine and frame is very sturdy.

  195. Grandma on May 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use it for afternoon walks when I babysit. Don’t buy it for the Mp3 speacker because that don’t work. I have tried 2 speakers now and both of them are just static. It does push nice but the front wheel does work itself loose and then wobbles until it is tightened. It has a nice canopy on it which you can adjust for wind and sun. It is for outside use only because it is to wide to fit threw a doorway. Depending what your use is reseach it very well.

  196. Twins Mom/Runner on May 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I purchased this stroller a year ago and rated it then. I am updating my comments and rating after using it for a year. I go running with my 18 month old twins 4-5 times a week going about 3-4 miles a time. The boys weigh 23 pounds each now and they still fit great into the stroller. The stroller has held up extremely well and we love using it. The ride is nice and smooth and it handles very well (I don’t use the swivel when running). I love that the canopy is not attached, so I never worry about the sun being in their eyes. There is plenty of storage under and behind the seats to carry whatever you need. My only complaint is that they tend to lean into each other slightly, but I’ve found this with almost all double joggers. I would highly recommend this stroller to anyone looking for a great stroller at a great price!

  197. Active Mom of 2 on May 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Works fine for two different size children. I have a 3 year old and a 9 month old. I am a runner and find it frequently difficult to steer when I’m running. Walking is great, but running doesn’t work as well.

  198. mommy of 3 on May 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really love this stroller I have had it for about 2 months and it’s been awesome!! I only had one problem with it when I went to go jogging for the first time the stroller starting shaking out of control I called the customer service line and they explained to me that you have to lock the swivel wheel when jogging and it works fine now so when I go walking I have the swivel wheel and when I jog I lock it!! they really should put that in the product book though =)

  199. michelle on May 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I used the single jogger to train for a half marathon, so when i was shopping for a double, i immediately went with this one.

The front swivel wheel is useless unless you leave it locked. In the swivel position it wobbles terribly because of poor design. If you’re walking it’s OK, but any speed or pebbles in the way and you’re in trouble. It wobbls so badly, my 3 year old drops her snacks and my 6 month old cries. My husband and I ran a 5k with it and he ended up pushing the second half with the front wheel off the ground.

If you EVER run with only one hand, you need to push in the middle of the handle bars, but unless you remove the cup holder, the middle is unavailable. The cup holder should have 2 connections to the handle bars so that pushing in the middle is an option. the design assumes you’ll always be pushing with 2 hands.

The mp3 player lasted about 4 runs and 1 car trip. After that, it fell apart.

I will probably be shopping for another stroller soon.

  200. biresfamily on May 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have twin boys. The stroller is bulky, the MP3 player doesn’t work, the stoller does not fit through doorways! Not a good bang for the buck.

  201. KAB mom of 3 on May 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Just picked up this stroller today and the reviews about the shaky front wheel are right. Do not get this stroller if you plan on doing more than walking at a pretty slow pace. It’s impossible to control when running because of the wheel shaking like crazy but it handles great just walking along, which is what I got it for. I have 3 kids all two years apart and it doesn’t seem unbalanced with the different sizes. They have all tried it today and don’t want to get out of it they enjoy the ride so much. It looks nice and the moving canopy is adequate, although I also purchased an additional sunshade to give more shade.

I had wanted a double jogging stroller and had search for one for some time. When I came across this one, I was so excited (believe it or not), because of the cup holders. I am so happy with this stroller and the kids love it as well. I love how one child can have the seat reclined and the other can be sitting straight up. It is not heavy at all and folds up so easily to fit in the car. I am so excited to get more use out of it. So happy!!! Best stroller and paid a great price as well!!!

  203. J&P's Mom on May 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I was using this for my boys, ages 4 years and 6 months. I am not a runner/jogger, but intended to use this for walking. Not casual walking, more for power walking. I was excited to use this for the swivel wheel b/c besides turning corners, I was looking forward to using it as my main stroller to take in the mall, etc. The swivel wheel on the front of the stroller is AWFUL! I went up and down my street one time and the stroller shook almost uncontrollably. I had my husband go back to double check that he put it together correctly (of course, I thought it would be his fault πŸ˜‰ ) and that everything was tightened, but this stroller is just not meant to have a swivel front wheel. When the wheel is locked, it works beautifully! One other thing is that it doesn’t really have a very large sun shade. It was really short. My sister-in-law has a Baby Trend single jogger and really loves it, so I thought this one would be just as great!

On the positive side, it has a great color scheme and the seat fit my 40lb. 4 year old very comfortably.

  204. walking mom on May 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

so easy to assemble i did it myself in under twenty minutes and i’m not mechanically inclined. i walk every day with my boys . my two year old is tall yet he is so comfortable that he always falls asleep. it steers beautifully,is lightweight and fits easily in the back of my jeep.the only problem would be the front wheel wobbles sometimes. i knew this before purchasing the stroller but bought it anyway since i don’t jog. it doesen’t bother me at all and if you jog or run you should lock the front wheel anyway.

My husband & I researched extensively to find the right stroller for us. We previously owned a single “baby trend” jogger and LOVED it. We wanted a nice, safe stroller…but werent willing to pay $400 for one.
We are so pleased with our purchase. I take my 18 month & 2 month old walking & jogging in it…they love it. I would definitely purchase this again!

  206. mom2carson&conner on May 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I never write reviews on items, but I have found that as a first time mom, and a mother of twins, there isn’t a lot of useful information out there for decision-making. I just wanted to give my feedback on this stroller. It is well-made, easy to steer, and has a little bonus – a mp3 speaker that you can plug your ipod into that streams into the stroller area for the kids.
The stroller does not come with head support for younger children, but I simply used my carrier head supports. The recline is nice and the snaps and belts are user friendly. This stroller was recommended to me and I too would recommend it to other mothers of multiples!

  207. jedynka on May 31st, 2009 at 12:00 am

the stroller is great for power walking but if you are looking for something with a good speaker system…this is not the stroller for you! We like to listen to music while we go for our walks and i had a single jogging stroller before this one (when we had one child) and that stroller had an awesome speaker system. The mp3 player never even worked on this one…the speaker (which was the size of a quarter) was one of the most pathetic things i have ever seen. I don’t know how they could even try to sell such a thing that doesn’t even work. Also, the stroller doesn’t have brakes on it like our single stroller did. We go roller blading by the beach a lot and the brakes come it handy down there.

  208. CityMamma on May 31st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I was really excited about this stroller. It had ALL the features I was looking for, however I read a review that said it wobbled horribly and thought it was an unfortunate thing for that person. Not so. We didn’t even get out of our driveway before the stroller was shaking out of controll. We tried to tighten the front wheel as the directions stated, but it didn’t help anything. I guess it’s worth spending a little more money for something that actually works.

  209. mom of two on May 31st, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a great double stroller. We have an almost 5 year old and a six month old. They both love riding together. The stroller turns well and feels very sturdy. My only complaint is that the stroller shakes if your speed is too high when the front wheel is in the swivel position. It’s easy to fix — just put the wheel in the fixed position and everything is perfect. The label does advise to put the wheel in the fixed position if you are jogging. I was just surprised that the stroller was shaky at slower than expected walking speeds. I would, however, highly recommend this stroller, especially given the pricepoint.

  210. Momof2Girls on May 31st, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller seemed like the perfect jogger for me. I have 2 girls who are 18 months apart. the front wheel on this stroller is HORRID. I could never jog with it since even walking causes the front wheel to shake uncontrollably, which causes the whole stroller to shake. My husband has tried different things to get it to stop but nothing works. Waste of [$]

  211. Mom of two toddlers on June 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have had this double stroller for a month now, and have absolutely loved it!! I use it only for walks and for running almost everyday, and the kids are so comfortable in it as well. I didn’t want to spend a fortune for a stroller, and I think this stroller is well worth the money. I do wish it had a hand brake for running downhill, but it doesn’t bother me that much, I still love it!!

  212. laurag on June 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

Bought this stroller in Aug ’08, it broke in Sept ’08,(swivel wheel broke)- still yet to get it fixed. Baby Trend customer service is marginal at best. Now it’s June ’09 and I still am waiting for their reply as to what to do with my broken wheel. My kids will be too big to use this stroller by the time it gets fixed. Very unhappy with this stroller!

  213. Mommy of 2 on June 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I had to get a stroller for my 4 year old who still loves the stroller and my 20 month old. I had the double sit and stand but it was too much weight to push around with them. This is perfect! Stroller fits through doors, easy to push and lift and great! LOVE that I can put on kids songs on the IPOD and play them while we walk.

  214. Mom2two on June 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We didn’t have a lot of money for a great stroller, but our MacLaren had finally had it and I thought it would be fun to have the option to jog with the boys. We tried this one out as a rental on a family vacation, and were really pleased with the weight, size, and adjustable canopy.

BUT, the wobbly wheel is truly awful. I adjusted it as per the instructions, and it was good for two days, but we’re back to wobbling uncontrollably every time we go over a bump. We have to come to a complete stop to get it to straighten out, which is kind of a pain when you’re stopping five times in the space of 200 feet.

Can it be that hard or that expensive to come up with a design solution to this problem, people?

  215. Mel on June 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I purchased this stroller after searching online and after testing one in the store. I loved all that it offered, especially for the price. The parent tray is great and the bottom storage basket is quite roomy. My children seem comfortable and my 4 year old says she likes riding in it. We used it on a trip to Disney shortly after we purchased and were very pleased but within a few months things changed. We noticed that when walking the front swivel wheel would start to wobble from side to side and this in turn made the whole stroller shake rather violently. During one walk it started to shake so badly that one of the prongs on the fork plate actually broke off. We called customer service and ordered a new fork plate and a wheel just in case there had been a wheel problem causing the wobbling. After replacing both we saw no improvement. Next we replaced the ball bearings in the front wheel housing because one of them appeared to be faulty. That helped for about 10 minutes and the same wobbling was back. On an outing last week the vibration was so bad that the front fork plate actually fell off. We have now replaced every part of the front swivel wheel assembly to include lock nut and washers and the problem has not been corrected. After my last call to Baby Trend customer service their representative emailed me a list of troubleshooting and tips for the front wheel. I am once again searching online for another double jogger. It is unfortunate because if Baby Trend could find a way to correct this design flaw they would have a great and economical product.

We bought this for both jogging and as a replacement to the tandem double stroller we’ve been using. This stroller is GREAT! It collapses better than our previous stroller. The swivel wheel is great too. We’ve had zero problems with it shaking. (You have to tighten it in two places if it is too loose! And LOCK it for jogging!) They are so easy to push now! Much better than the tandem. I really appreciate the hard plastic cup holders and cubby bin for keys/cell phone – Did NOT find that on any of the other joggers. The storage is amazing – a place inside the seats for the kids, behind the seats and under the seats – GREAT! My kids (a one year old and a three year old) love riding in it and as parents we love it.

I just purchased this stroller and took it out for the first time this morning. And yes i used it for jogging. It was great, i locked the wheel and it was extremely stable. No shaking at all. My 1 year old daughter was very comfortable in it. And she is a baby that ALWAYS cries when put in a stroller, so for me that says a lot. The detached canopy was great! It allowed me to block the sun from her eyes no matter which way we were going. I will also be putting a 3 year old in it with her.
The only thing that i am not a fan of is the M-P3 player speaker in the canopy. It is pretty cheeky. But other that that great stroller.

My husband and I both use this stroller to run with our 10 month old and 2 year old. They both weigh about the same and we are both really surprised and delighted at how well this jogger handles long runs. You have to lock the wheel for running or fast walking. The only problem I have ever had with the wheel is when I forgot to lock the wheel for a run. Once locked it was fine. This joggers is a pleasure to push and has tons of room for the boys and for stowing stuff. It folds and unfolds very easily. Each seat is able to recline or be upright independent of one another. A lot of joggers out there do not do this. The price was also right.
We would highly recommend this stroller to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive jogger.

  221. twolittleones on June 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use my jogger constantly and love it. It is a very smooth ride and had held up well for us. Biggest complaint…it’s so wide that it can be a pain to go through doors. Of course…all the side-by-side double strollers are wide. I have recommended this stroller to many friends. A great stroller for a great price.
In the 18 months we have had it, I’ve only had to tighten up the front wheel once when it got a little loose/wobbly on me. No big deal. I did it by myself in less than 10 minutes.

  222. My 2 Girls on June 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Upon researching many double joggers, this one really caught my eye due to the many features it had that I needed (storage basket/cupholder/teather strap/adjustable seating/adjustable sunshade). But after reading numerous bad reviews, I almost didn’t purchase it. SO GLAD I DID! This stroller is fantastic. Sporty looking, smooth ride (for those saying it wasn’t and that the front wheel wobbled greatly while jogging need to do more research! ANY jogging stroller will do that when it is pushed at higher speeds when the front wheel isn’t locked!!!!)

For the value of this stroller it is great! I would never think of spending more money on another only to get the same features. Buy this stroller!!!!!

My two girls (ages 3yrs and 1 yr) love it and so do I!

  223. me on June 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I LOVE this stroller! The only problem is the stinkin’ wheel! I don’t understand why all of a sudden, the thing starts shaking violently. Next thing I know,I’m with two tired toddlers, and NO WHEEL. I don’t know what the problem is, but apparently it happens quit often. I think that if there are enough complaints, they should replace the faulty parts for free!

  224. texas mommy of two on June 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I walk everyday w/my babies.they love my baby boy falls asleep every time and my toddler can’t wait to go for walks. It’s a little wide but that is not to bad.

  225. Kaleen on June 19th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought ours last summer and paid about $100 more than what it costs now. The front swivel wheel is sometimes annoying. It can turn the wrong way and make stirring difficult. Also the tires can go flat fairly easily. I carry a hand pump with us. Usually after sitting in the car the tires are low.
    Those are the negatives.

The positives are the storage! There are two compartments under the seats and two behind them as well. Plus two cup holders and a compartment at the handle bar. The hood is great sun protection, and is strong enough to hold my purse. There is a mesh pocket by each seat that can hold a bottle or binkie. I have looked at a few twin strollers, and I think it is the lightest double stroller that has storage. It is very easy to close. You can pop off a wheel if the stroller is too big for a door. (I would not advise this if you do not have someone to help hold the stroller.)

    The seats RECLINE!!!

I have 16 month twin girls, and overall we like our stroller. Sometimes it annoys me, but all the twin strollers have pros and cons.

  226. mom of 2 toddlers on June 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

i purchased this so i can work out with my mommy/child workout class) and it is PERFECT! my front back stroller wasnt cutting it, kids getting heavy i thought a wheel would pop off. my children are 4 and 2.5. they LOVE the stroller! I love how EASY it is to manuver and how easy to put in and out of my car. wish i made this purchase last year.

  227. Mom of 2 on June 22nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a great stroller for the price. Con: front wheel can come loose and wobble. We have had to tighten it quite a few times and this seems to be a common complaint.
It has lots of nice compartments and cup holders. We do not use this for jogging…not sure how it would hold up to that. VERY easy to fold up and lift into a car. Not heavy at all.

  228. Lisa K on June 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We had a horrible experience with this stroller. It DOES NOT fit through doorways. The front wheel rattled when you moved at more than a walking pace. Returned it so I could get something different.

  229. Mommy too 2 girls on June 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use this stroller to take daily walks with my two kids ages 2 and 3 months. I had the single version of this stroller for my first and loved it so I was excited to find a double right in my price range. I put a little snap in body support on one side for my 3 month old and she doesn’t move around at all, she loves it and usually falls asleep in the stroller. I don’t do a lot of jogging but I have snapped the swivel wheel down a few times and jogged with it and it is not bumpy at all, of course it’s impossible to turn when the wheel is locked so I have to do my jogging on a straight path. It is fairly small too and works great for trips to the mall and the zoo as well. The only complaint is that it is a bit heavy but I think that is to be expected from any double stroller.

  230. Momma of two girls! on July 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have a 4 year old and 2 year old. I have bought several strollers. Graco double stroller, Baby Trend sit and stand, now this one. I have to say this is the best yet. I love that this stroller doesn’t have the little plastic wheels. I can push my girls with ease for hours! Seriously. I would find myself pushing up hills and being outta breath by the time I reach the top…not with this one! I don’t understand why people have given this bad reviews. I just had to have it for the cup holders and the swivel wheel. I do wish there were more cup holders but we are happy and making it with this! I would definally buy it again!

  232. 4DGs on July 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

A friend let me borrow hers with my 2 children (ages 1 and 4) and I had to buy one for myself! I am a walker and this stroller moves like a breeze over paved terrain. You must lock the front wheel if you walk at a swift pace like I do or the front wheel will shake. I was only disappointed by the parent tray popping off when I folded it down-one of the screws broke through the plastic but the tray still snaps on. Otherwise, smooth ride, easy folding action, wheels pop off for storage very easily.

  233. a on July 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I LOVE this stroller. I researched a lot before making this purchase. I had lots of wants in a stroller and not much $$ to spend. This stroller is exactly what I was looking for.

Comfort:I have a tall 2 year old and a 3 month old. They both fit very comfortably. The seats can recline or sit up to suit each child. My older daughter’s weight does make her lean some toward the middle. Nothing much and she hasn’t complained. This is also something I read about in reviews of all kinds of double joggers, even the really expensive ones. I am tall (5’10”) and my husband is 6’1″. We really wanted a stroller that we could walk with comfortably, not bent over or kicking the back. This one fits that bill! We both can walk with it comfortably.
Ease of Use: This stroller is SO easy to push, it is amazing. You could push it with one finger. I read many complaints that the stroller shakes uncontrollably if you walk too fast or jog. Well it does – only if you don’t lock the front swivel wheel. I jogged with my two kids last night. It started to shake, so I locked the front wheel and the ride was smooth as could be!. With the swivel wheel the stroller turns on a dime. It is easy to push through grass, gravel, pavement, etc. We even took the stroller to the mall. It is too big to fit through a standard door and some handicap doors. We just look for a double door and get in just fine.
Features: Unlike most strollers I looked at this one has a sun shade that can be moved to block the sun/wind no matter which direction it is coming from. Most strollers I looked at had a pretty useless sun visor. This stroller also has a hard plastic cup holder and storage compartment at the handle for adults. Much nicer than they mesh water bottle holders on most joggers. The storage compartment under the seats is decent sized. It fits my diaper bag & purse. We haven’t tried the MP3 hook up. The speaker is pretty tiny, not sure what the quality would be on it, but you don’t buy a stroller for the speaker system anyway. The stroller folds up so easy! It is a bit bulky and hard for me to get in the back of our SUV though, not because of the weight, but because of its size. But, it fits in the the back of our small SUV and still leaves room for the dog!

I’m not sure what kind of stroller this would be if you were a serious runner, I am not. I just wanted something I could use to take both my kids out for a little exercise or stroll around the neighborhood. This fits the bill! I get lots of compliments on it whenever we are out. I would highly recommend this stroller!

  234. Mom of 2 boys under 3 on July 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller. I can not comment on the “jogging” aspect, because I use this stroller to walk the neighborhood. There have been lots of negative comments, but I went ahead and took the plunge. I love it! My oldest loves going for walks, and he can maneuver the sun shade on his own. I actually prefer this sun shades to some of the others. He loves the speaker for my ipod. i didn’t pay big bucks for the stroller, so I’m not expecting perfection! But it’s perfect for my boys!

  235. Kalikat on July 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is a great, affordable double jogging stroller. I did tons of research and this one is excellent for it’s price range. I love all the features: parent tray with 2 cup holders, tons of little pockets for storage, retractable and movable shade, little pockets next to kids seats for snacks or drinks and even a little speaker for mp3 player. Granted the speaker was a little cheap, but my son loves hearing his music while I jog. It folds up pretty well too. The stroller doesn’t fit through doors though, but that’s okay because we store it in the garage anyways.

Others complain about it wobbling while running??? I didn’t have that problem. Maybe if you run without locking the wheel or put too much junk in all the pockets it might become unstable. You do have to inflate the tires though, since they come flat from the factory, But it runs great and I like how it has a wrist strap incase you trip the stroller doesn’t run away. Not too sure if others had that feature. It’s super easy to assemble too. It totally rocks. Just wish it came in more variety of colors.

After much research and reading reviews to find a good double jogging stroller for a 3 1/2-year-old and a 15-month-old, we hesitantly bought this one. We already had a double tandem jogging stroller that just wasn’t working out for us, and we wanted to get a side-by-side one that was reasonably priced. The biggest complaint about this stroller that we found in reviews was that the front wheel shook uncontrollably if left unlocked while walking even at a semi-quick pace. Either they have fixed this problem, or we happened to get one of the good ones. We have had no problems with this, and we walk at a slightly faster than a moderately-quick pace (4 mph). On occasion the wheel has wobbled a bit after hitting a bump and/or turning right after a bump, but it straightens right out and quits wobbling if you slow down just a bit for a couple seconds. It pushes so easily and is a breeze to turn. Some people complained about the kids leaning into each other, and this does happen. It’s not really that bad, and our boys don’t seem to mind it too much. We’ve been using this for about three weeks now, and so far we love it. The adjusting canopy works great, and the individual reclining seats also work well. Our oldest son says he likes it, so it must be comfortable. We also like the size of the foot rest, as some that we looked at did not have this. I cannot comment on the durability, as we have only had it 3 weeks. My husband tried out the MP3 player speaker, and he said that really did not work well at all. That is definitely not a big deal for us, but if you are hoping for a great music system, then this would not be it. I would definitely recommend this stroller.

  237. momof21yrapart on July 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Basically everything about the stroller is awesome. I love how the wheel locks or you can leave it to swivel. I have had no problems with that as previous posters have stated. The 5 pt harness is a must and I love how it holds up to 50 lbs on EACH seat. A stroller to grow with! The storage bins underneath are more accessable than my tandem and overall it gives a very smooth ride. The parent cubby in between the cup holders is very roomy as well. On the baby trend tandem I own I have to choose to fit either my keys or cell phone, with this everything fits and then some! The only thing I thought was a joke is the mp3 speakers. It says their built in so I was wondering how that’d work out (i bought this item online and never saw in person) and its just a little circular speaker you’d find in a glow worm or something similar. And the “built in” part is simply and mesh pocket the speaker fits in to. It was a great idea! But the quality is poor. If your mp3 has speakers of it’s own you’d be better off that way.

  238. Kristi on July 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I already have a single jogger stroller made by the same company, so I knew what to expect. The double jogging stroller works just the same. The only problem I foresee with the product is center support. There is no back support for the kids in the center, so they start to lean inwards as they are riding.

  239. tonya on July 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

ok…like many others here i have done a few months of research before i finally went with my gut and bought this stroller. AND I’M SO GLAD I DID!!! i was between this one and the in step safari in chocolate and blue. i wanted the other one because i thought it looked better and no one complained about the wheel, but people were saying if you have tall children it won’t last you long…my just turned 3 year old is VERY tall for her age AND that stroller didn’t have a parent console like this one. in this stroller my girls have PLENTY of room above their heads AND it has a great LARGE parent console! after reading the mixed reviews i took both of my girls to babies r us and tried it out and it worked perfect. so, i leaned towards the good reviews and i went ahead and bought it especially since i couldn’t find the in step safari in a store to test it out PLUS i used the 15% coupon! i took it out tonight and it worked like a dream!!! i have a lot of steep hills where i live and it wasn’t hard going up or down them. i decided to try it jogging and locked the wheel and never had one problem with shaking at all! it pushed so smoothly and even smoother when i was jogging. no joke! it turns on a dime also! maybe people are attaching the wheel wrong between the bolts when they assemble it. either way i’m very happy i bought this one and my girls LOVE it! they actually held hands in the stroller! if you are thinking about this i say BUY IT! there is a 180 day warranty that comes with the stroller also. just make sure you assemble the front wheel right. look at the picture on the box also. i think the directions can be kind of confusing for attaching the front wheel and maybe that’s where people are getting their problems. just remember to lock it when speed walking and faster! happy trails!

this stroller is a good stroller it folds easily and is good size for my 2 and half year old and 4 year old. The MP3 hook up doesn’t work the speaker is way too small to hear it while you are walking.

  241. mom of two on July 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

love it and to think we almost didn’t get it based off of some of the reviews, i have a three yr old and an 8 month old, perfect for both of them. the sidewalks in my area are really really bad but with the jogger you don’t notice, for the money it was well spent. mp3 hook up is nice, 3 yr old loves it.

  242. mkm on July 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller, and anyone who’s borrowed it has loved it too. Super easy to manuever, super easy to switch to swivel/non-swivel. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is if it was just a smidge narrower I could fit through doorways at the mall w/o opening both doors, and I have to buckle/unbuckle the seats every time to fold it flat/sit the kids upright, but totally worth it to not have to pay 600 dollars or whatever outrageous amounts those other double jogger strollers cost!

  243. Jamie Madeline and Sarah's Mommy on July 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My husband loves this stroller. It works good if the front wheel is locked and it works well off road at soccer games or bumpy roads, the seats are rooms enough for my 5 year old, and 2 year old, and it lies flat for my infant. It also rolls nicely if the wheel is locked. That being said I absolutely hate this stroller. The front wheel wobbles so bad when it’s not locked that I worry about shaken baby symdrom. It is so shaky that I can’t even use this stroller anymore and I’ve had it onyl about 6 months. It drives me insane because I can’t take it places with the wheel locked because yo can’t turn it no matter if you’re walkng slow or fast. If the wheel is locked it does fix the problem. But I need a stroller for everyday use not just long walks. And with the wheel locked it’s almost impossible to use in stores. The seats lean together, and the bottom baskets are extreemly hard to get things in and out of. Also it’s so big that I’ve litterly had the thing get stuck in the door frame at stores. I do like the cup holders, but the 5 point harness is hard to adjust and it’s already getting too small for the sholders of my 9 month old who is not a big boy. He only weighs 17lbs! and 21in long! The mp3 player is useless, even the kids can barely hear it. Overall don’t waste your money on this stroller. It’s terrible! I wish I had listened to the other reviewers and saved my money for a better one!!! Also I have a suv and this barely fits in my trunk! I can’t immagine fitting it into a car! The only pro is that is does have a nice sun canopy. oh and there is no tray or cup holder for the kids

  244. twin mom on July 17th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this stroller for our twins and had to exchange it for another one because the front wheel wobbled and it didn’t steer straight. Unfortunately the second stroller front wheel wabbled also. Initially it seems great- rides smooth, seats are nice but in both cases over time, about every 4-6 outings, you have to tighten the front wheel or it may begin wobbling uncontrollably. Riding on smooth paths defiantly works better than unleveled sidewalks. We’re very happy with it until it starts to wobble then it drives you CRAZY!

  245. Mamacheeks on July 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I honestly almost didn’t buy this stroller because of all of the complaints of the wobbly wheel. I have had my stroller for 8 months now, and it’s my full time stroller. I have NO issues whatsoever with a wobbly wheel. The only thing I can think of is they’re pushing too fast (if you’re running, you HAVE to lock the front wheel or it will wobble), or they didn’t tighten the bolt when assembling it. I use this stroller to jog, walk, shop, and even took it to Disney! My boys love it! I love the parent tray, the clear plastic window in the canopy so I can see the boys, and I love how the canopy isn’t fixed, so you can maneuver it based on the sun. The baskets underneath are a great size, especially for a double. It’s not meant for shopping. It’s a JOGGING stroller. But if I work hard enough, I can fit my diaper bag under 1 side, and my purse under the other. I have a truck, and it folds and fits with no problem. We can even push it so it sits upright, and we pack our stuff in around it. All in all, great stroller for the price! I have sold many of my mom friends with 2 kids on it!! Everywhere I go I have people with stroller envy πŸ™‚

  246. Jessica on July 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this stroller to use on jogs, walks and outdoor trips with our 18-month old and 3-year-old. It is wonderful – we couldn’t have made a better purchase. It is easy to push (even with the 50 lbs of kids!) and easy to steer. Lots of storage is also a plus. The only downside – and this is something I am willing to deal with since I love the stroller – is it is huge when folded.

  247. Imy n her boyz on July 28th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This Stroller is a peace of cake to maneuver. The swivel wheels allows you to turn sharp corners with ease I barely have to push it even with the weight of my two year old which is 43lbs and my 10mth old which is 23lbs plus the diaper bag. It fits through my front door, store doors, Fitting rooms everywhere its a dream ride. The only problem is the under storage basket which being a jogging stroller it shouldnt need that much storage space anyways, but I use it for everything. It also fits in the trunk of my honda accord 2001 model. the parent tray is awesome.I had another double stroller that was fine when the kids didn’t weigh much, but now it was impossible to push .The canopy can also be moved to the desired location to block the sun. Absolutely Love this stroller

  248. motherof3inmn on July 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I had already owned a single jogging stroller (which I also LOVE), and decided to purchase this stroller to replace a double stroller that I had purchased at a garage sale and disliked from the first time that I used it. While I do not use the stroller for jogging, it pushes like a dream. It is too big for some doorways and not ideal for shopping, but what double stroller is? We use it for taking walks on our back country roads and for general mall walking. My one complaint is that the basket underneath is very shallow and hard to get things in and out, but it you plan accordingly, not a big deal. I was also suprised at how compact it folds for being a double side by side stroller! I would recommend this stroller highly!!!

This stroller saved my cousins life. They were in the stroller when they got hit by a car. The car kept going with the stroller dragging and the kids came out with nothing but a bump on the head. This stroller saved their life according to the officer. I would not buy anything else but this stroller again

  250. Mom of Three on July 31st, 2009 at 12:00 am

This is the THIRD stroller I’ve had of this particular model (returned/returned/returned) because I purchased the extended warranty for this item. I have had issues with the wobbly front wheel, even coming off as I was crossing a busy intersection in traffic! I hate this stroller. Believe me, with three children, I’ve had a lot of strollers through the years. I have used this stroller since my youngest (now almost one and half) was born and it was great "in theory." It is roomy and has all the features I was looking for, but having had to return two of them and finally getting rid of it for the double Maclaren (of which I have a single and love the quality of). I have two young chidren (1 1/2 and 2 1/2) and this stroller simply doesn’t cut it. It also doesn’t fit through A LOT of doors, even though it says it fits through standard doors. It’s not worth the money or hassle of having to return it…

  251. Mom of 3 on August 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I use this jogger for my 2.5 yr. old, and 1 yr. old. It’s a perfect size, it’s not wide (fits through most doors). It’s light and has such a great ride for the kids. BUT… the front wheel vibrates violently, especially if I try to run with it! The kids think it is hysterical, but it’s sooo frustrating! […] Also, I wish the wheels were made of a solid rubber, so I didn’t have to fill the tires with air.

  252. Disney Experiened Dad on August 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Purchased this specifically for our Disneyworld trip and it was well worth it. The cost beats the rental at $27-30/day (double stroller) x 7 days plus you get to keep the stroller at the end of your trip. The zero turn radius is excellent for tight spots and very easy to push when compared to my other Baby Trend sit and stand stroller. It is larger than the "Rental Double Stroller" and more comfortable for the kids. Stroller is bulky when in the stowed position for car, bus, tram, airport but well worth it at the end (you cannot take the rental out of the parks). We saw identical strollers at the hotel/parks and the parents spoke highly of the product. It is a bumpy ride but for the price this is a good investment for my 5 and 2 year old.

  253. Mom getting back in shape on August 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I read many reviews and did a lot of research. I went to the store to try it out for myself. I absolutely love it. The front wheel does shake when you pick up speed only when it’s not locked in position. It doesn’t when it is locked. I have a Mercury Montego (mid-size car) and this stroller can fit in it along with my Graco snug rider stoller and an umbrella stroller with some room left over. I don’t have any complaints about it. See pictures.

  254. Mary Timm on August 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Great for the money…no handbrake, which is a minus for going downhill. However, not such a huge investment that I am protecting it from typical wear and tear.

  255. Cheri K. on August 19th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this because we were using a Jeep Wrangler double umbrella stroller for our twins and while it was great we needed something more for long outings – such as a day at the zoo or a long shopping day.

While the stroller is comfortable enough for the kids and manuvers well, I wish we’d gone with something else.

This stroller does NOT fit through "most standard doors." I have yet to find a single door this stroller will fit through. It always requires a double door.

There is plenty of storage and I love the cupholders and little cubby near the handle. The wheels come off easily and it fits in the trunk of our Honda Civic (albeit with little room for much else) and if I wanted a jogger this would probably be fine.

However, it’s far too wide for everyday use. I would not recommend it for indoor use at all because it doesn’t fit anywhere! If the aisle is anything less than double wide you won’t fit with this stroller.

We’re now shopping for a new stroller…again. The new stroller will be stroller number six. It makes me wish we’d just shelled out the big money from the start and bought a nicer stroller to begin with (like the Bumbleride Indie or Baby Jogger City Elite) because we’re going to wind up buying one anyway. Take our experience into consideration if you find yourself in the same boat!

Bottom line: It’s an inexpensive choice for a jogging stroller and is great for outdoor activities but is not suitable for everyday or indoor use.

I have a sit and stand for shopping but needed a double for when we go walking on trails or go to football games. My husband coaches and we needed a stroller that would work on all types or ground: rocks, dirt, grass, etc. this works great! We tried a jeep side by side but it was just was wide and had no storage and did not work well on the field. THis has great underseat storage, pockets behind the seats for more and a very small one beside each seat that will fit my daughters small sippy cup or snack. THe try on top has a deep container too. The only negative about the try is that the cups holders are not that big and doesn’t hold my water container well but does fit water bottles. Folds up very easy….it is big but that is what all jogging strollers are. We took this to the state fair and it fit great through all doorways (regular size) i was surprised. Easy to navigate with and have not noticed any wobbling that some have posted about. I love that i can recline that baby for a nap but my 2.5 year old can sit up still. She is very tall and still fits great. She loves this stroller.
