It took me a very long time to finally decide on a stroller. I had been looking at the Bob stroller, but did not like the idea of spending so much money! I have the Baby Trend car seat and thought that I would look at their jogging stroller. I LOVED the price! The stroller is easy to put together. It turns very well and goes over bumps and obstacles with ease. It is rather large when folded up though, does not leave much room in the trunk of my sedan. I have been VERY happy with it so far!

  2. Walking mom on April 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I absolutely love this stroller because I walk a lot. I like it because you can let the front wheel swivel or you can lock it. Locking the wheel is definately best for joggers because it will get away from you. My three in a half month loves it, he goes right to sleep while me and my husband are walking.
The only thing I would change about the stroller is the weight, it is pretty heavy. I have a graco stroller and it is a lot lighter than this one.

  3. DUSTY on April 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

Was looking for a cheap jogger but wanted the feeling the BOB strollers gives you. Tried them all out, even ran in the stores with my kid until I found this one. Feels just like the BoB in every way except the wallet. Smooth and sleek just like the BoB and the handle is so comfortable. The wheel pivots or locks and you can just fly with this thing and not worry about falling. Very sturdy and stable. I can turn no problem with the wheel locked or unlocked. And it folds like a dream. 1 MINUTE max on fold up and down. AWESOME.. Joggers or walkers that want the BoB quality but not the price, this is the one for you. And If you get the [$] dollar one you get the hand brake and car seat. OH YEAH. MY KID LOVES IT.

  4. Scorpio's Mom on April 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

We looked at all joggers on the market and were resigned to the fact that we’d have to spend upwards of $400 to get a decent one. We got this one as a gift, though, and we’ve been pleasantly surprised. We go for long walks, even cutting through wooded areas at times, and this jogger is great! The only knock I have is that the pedometer/speedometer isn’t accurate.

  5. Newbie Parents on April 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We use this versitle stoller all of the time… walks to the store, getting around Disney, morning jogs, trips to the dog park… and we LOVE it! It is easy to fold and unfold, comfortable, and sturdy.

It is bulky and does need a good deal of space in the trunk — we have to take the station wagon when we travel because it will not fit in our smaller 2 door sedan. Also, when the baby is sleeping and the back is all the way down it is hard to get into the storage area.

That said, we would absolutely recomend this item!

  6. Crystal on April 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I absolutely love this stroller!! It’s perfect for camping, going on walks (where we live there are no sidewalks), and pushing through grass. It folds relatively flat after taking the wheels off, to make packing for the weekend getaway easier. You can’t beat the price. If you’re out in the country, travel, or do a lot of outdoor activities that don’t involve concrete….get this stroller!! Of course this was supposed to be my husband’s stroller b/c it looked manly but I have come to really love this one over my Graco travel system. I do recommend the Graco travel system for days spent in town or if you live in town. I’m pleased we decided to get both the Graco travel system and this jogger. And the best part is we spent about the same amount you would on 1 BOB stroller.

  7. Busy Mom on April 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I was so excited when I bought this stroller. I put it together and took it for a test run with my daughter in it. I had gotten as far as my neighbor’s house, when the frame holding up the front wheel became twisted causing the front wheel to fall off. I didn’t go over any major bumps. I have never seen anything like this in my life. Thank goodness my daughter was not injured.

  8. Mom of 2, first jogging stroller on May 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

We had to buy another stroller because one of the wheels on the one we had broke. This stroller is good value for the money. The engineering of this stroller makes it pretty light, especially considering the fact that it has “real” wheels. It is easy to lock and unlock the rear wheels, and it’s easy to fold down, too. I love the handles to lift the stroller into our van when it’s folded up. The ONLY thing I don’t like is that the basket underneath is a little small. However, I like the cupholders and the compartment to store keys, etc., out of sight. I will enjoy walking with our daughter secured in this stroller, and I will hopefully enjoy jogging with it soon, too, given the ability to lock the front wheel quickly (‘on the fly’) from the handle using the quick-release button (the others we looked at required bending over, fiddling with the front wheel…akin to manually ‘locking the hubs’ on a 4×4) to use this stroller for jogging.

  9. Heather, Light Jogger on May 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

We really like this jogger. It is great for walking and light jogging, too sqirley for heavy joggers or runners. Four cupholders! Good Storage. Average weight for a jogger. One warning, if you are getting this stroller for the use of the infant seat, I do not reccoment the infant seat. It’s HEAVY, the harness is a pain, and the handle buttons stick. Stroller Yes, Car Seat NO.

  10. Joey's Mommy on May 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love the zip-up storage on both sides of the canopy & the easy cleaning handle on the stroller. I don’t recall it coming with a pump for the tires though, other than that I like it. I am very happy with this stroller. Great price.

  11. Daddy that does diapers on May 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The seams on the seat and back of the srtoller came apart within two months after light use.

Also tires flatten easily if you don’t fill them with “Slime” punture proofer and it’s almost impossiple to stand the stroller up when folded. It always tips over.

Other than that it’s an awesome stroller for the $ and very compact. Hopefully the makers of this product will read this and reenforce the fabric and the seams around the seating area.

  12. Anna's confused mom on May 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Overall, I think this stroller is fabulous – especially for the super low price! It is very stable and steers beautifully. I’m a walker, not a runner, so I really appreciate the pivoting front wheel. It is a smooth ride for my 7 month old daughter, and she seems to enjoy it well enough. I only wish that the seat back went upright just a bit more. For whatever reason, my daughter likes to sit bolt-upright, so she clutches on to the tray and holds herself up almost the whole time. She doesn’t seem to care, though. Reason for the 4 stars instead of 5…the seat cusion on the first one that I got started to separate at the seam so I exchanged it for another. No worries now. Good in every other way!

  13. ADVENTURE PARENTS on May 18th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This jogger is perfect for rough terrain…mobility…turning…protecting from the inside out…The car seat that matches is just as great!…and the look is nice!

  14. julesinnc on May 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The front wheel came off while using this stroller several times. I could not go more than a trot without it shaking and then coming off. As the other rating said, I’m glad the baby wasn’t injured. The piece holding the front wheel bent one time and I was stranded, luckily close to home. I walked the baby back and had my husband go get it. He put it back together really tight and still I couldn’t jog with this stroller.

  15. mom of one and one on the way on May 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Great for walking if wheel is locked. Shakes really bad if you are doing more then a slow walk if wheel is not locked straight. It was too hard to use when running but has been great for walks to and from the park. I think it was worth the price. I am looking into buying a double stroller and am probably not going to buy the same brand due to the fact that it shakes.

  16. mom of girlies on May 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After using less than 10 times, the front wheel unexpectedly came off while jogging. Needless to say, I was frustrated & exhausted by the time I walked to my car carrying my little one & the pushing the stroller on its back wheels for over a mile! The “fork” was terribly warped when it hit the pavement; so I could not reattach the front wheel. […] After 2 weeks of leaving messages and/or being on hold, I finally corresponded via e-mail. After numerous messages back and forth, a supervisor at Baby Trend now informs me that the needed part is out of stock until who knows when!!!

  17. 1st Time Mom on May 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Jogger was easy to put together and price was unbeatable for a jogger. Almost drove itself, BUT my baby hated it. The fabric is really rough in the middle and he was always leaning way over to the edge for the softer fabric. Poor baby…he cried in it all the time. We returned it after one week.

We ended up purchasing the Baby Jogger…it is FABULOUS and worth every penny for baby and mom. It’s easy to maneuver and my baby LOVES it. 🙂

  18. Sam on June 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I am a first time parent and didnt know what to buy… I got this stroller as a gift… OMG so HAPPY..this stroller is the best, I go with everywhere… and joggling with it is super easy… I recomend this stroller…. the only thing I would said is that is not as light weight as I would like it to be…. I use this stroller since my baby was a premmie… It hold the Snuderide Graco seat verywell.. Now my daughter is 11 months and loves it…. overall excellent..

  19. Walker-Runner Mom on June 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I am an avid walker and sometimes jogger, but mainly bought this stroller for its leg room, mine that is. I have long legs and traditional strollers/umbrella strollers do not accomodate this. We have only used it 5-6 times because the front wheel shakes, the straps have always been too big for her, even at 18 months. And just this past weekend, the back wheel came off while we were on a zoo trip.

  20. Jessica on June 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I really like this stroller for the money. I don’t jog with it but we do walk and it works great. It shook the first time we used it but my husband tightened the front wheeel and it took care of the problem. I do wish that the seat went up higher for my 2.5 year olds head but she’ll be out of it next summer anyways.

  21. Levi's Mommy on June 13th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We purchased this stroller (and car seat combo) for our newborn son and have been thoroughly impressed with it. It rides extremely smoothly and fits easily in the trunk of our Ford Focus. We initially purchased a regular stroller (plastic wheels) but were not impressed with how bumpy of a ride it was. This was the best investment!

  22. BUSY MOM on June 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

love it…not too heavy.. easy to put together…stylish… locking wheels and turns easy. It has a very smooth ride…like the cup holders and the storage bin underneath . It even came with a tire pump.

  23. Laura on June 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this stoller as a jogger and it has been a mess. The front wheel shakes and rotates, so I never was able to use it in the swivel position. I have been using it for 10 months in the locked position and have had to tie it with wires and now have a nail and some tape to keep it in place. I guess the stroller is good if you don’t want the swivel wheel and you don’t plan on jogging, but then why purchase a jogger?

  24. Avril on June 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This jogging stroller is lightweight and very easy to maneuver while jogging, with one hand even. You can’t beat the price. The tray isn’t the best. It is pretty flimsy plastic but if you are using it only for jogging it really serves it’s purpose well. I only use it for jogging. I would not recommend it for travel to the store or parks I would only recommend using it for jogging.

  25. Mother of 2 on June 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller. It made my life much easier.

  26. Active Dad on July 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I bought this stoller so that we could maintain an active lifestyle as a family, and it has been a disaster. The front wheel shakes, wobbles and rotates, and the straps are to large for our baby… bottom line: we were never able to use it for the reasons it was purchased. We used it a handfull of times out of neccessity, but have avoided using it since. I don’t see how someone could jog with it, but I sure wouldn’t put our child at risk by doing so. Needless to say, this has been a frustrating experience for our family! I was frustrated & exhausted with this stroller, but on the bright side we were able to return it and get a stroller that doesn’t weeble and wobble!

  27. Krissy G on July 4th, 2008 at 12:00 am

After using this stroller, I wish I would have gone this route and skipped the travel system altogether. This stroller is a lot lighter and easier to steer that my standard stroller. It handles great on grass and uneven sidewalks. Now, I am not a runner but I do walk a lot and this stroller is perfect.

  28. CB on July 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I had to return this item twice. The 1st time one of the wheels was bent and the front wheel would not lock. Also the wheel lock kept coming undone. […]The stroller would not stay open. Just the slightest touch and it would fold close. Now I have to return the stroller and car seat.

  29. On the Go on July 9th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller is definitely NOT unstable. We take it every where, including the breast cancer walk last year and to a local farm with very uneven ground and the zoo. My daughter loves it the only con about this stroller it it is a little bulky, but it still fits in my mother in laws Honda Civic. If it feels unstable to you try putting it together again. We are expecting baby #2 and looking in to getting the double version.

  30. Frustrated on July 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

When I assembled this stroller it was missing the screws that attach the front fender. After calling customer service they told me they would send them in 14 days. I wasn’t thrilled but waited patiently for them to arrive and after a month finally called the customer service department again. First of all, nobody would even answer the phone. After trying to reach them for a week I finally got online and sent them an email requesting immediate response. Another week later somebody from Baby Trend emailed me a very snide response basicaly accusing me of lying about my ever having contacted them in the first place; hardly solving my problem. I have been tempted to return this stroller over the issue but it’s just missing some simple screws! It would be so easy for Baby Trend to fix this problem and leave me satisfied but it has been a horrible hassle. I still have not recieved the screws and will be going to Lowes to try to find some that are compatible. I just really hope that I don’t have any REAL problems with this stroller that would require srvice from Baby Trend. What a poorly run company…

  31. new mommy on July 13th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller is great, especially for the price!!! I think people that gave it bad reviews really need to learn how to read directions better or find somebody that knows what they are doing put it together ( no offense)!!! Definately a great buy!!!

  32. Judy on July 19th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller was definitely the best stroller of this type for the price. We put our 5 year old in it who is still under the weight limit, and pushed her all over the store with the swivel wheel locked and unlocked. It is very stable, sturdy, and does not shake at all. It is super easy to handle. Easy to lock and unlock the front wheel, and it is comfy. It is also a nice height for my husband who has found most stroller handles to be too short and uncomfortable to push.

Some of the reviewers who gave this stroller a bad review must not have read the directions right. Also DO NOT jog with the swivel wheel UNLOCKED! That is the first thing it says in the safety warnings in the instruction booklet that these people obviously did not read!

Also some of the bad reviews are very old, and this stroller just came out on the market. Only been a couple months. In fact the website still says coming soon! That means that these people must be confused and reviewing the wrong Expedition jogger. There are other Baby Trend Expediton Joggers, but they are not the same as this one which is the LX.

Also there is a baby trend jogger that is a travel system. It was horrible. The wheel would get stuck and the infant seat wasn’t very nice, but this one is not the travel system that is sold together!

There is a matching infant seat for this one that you can purchase seperately and it just came out as well. It is very nice, a bit heavey, but soft and comfy. Nice handle, and great safetly ratings. But it has to be purchased seperately.

  33. Catskat on July 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We had to “exchange” this stroller twice now, but other than that (and not wanting to spend the money on a BOB stroller) you get the most bang for the buck $$$

  34. CookieMama on July 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller runs sooooo smoothly. I am not much of a runner but I speed walk and this thing holds up so much better than my travel system. My husband loves it even more because he does not have to bend so far over to hold the handle. It is so smooth that my 6 year old can run with it and it not tip over. Easy to put together and just like a bike you do you have to keep it maintained properly, that only take a couple of minutes!!! Lightwieght, bringing it upstairs from the basement everyday can be stressing but this is much lighter than I thought. My little one is so much happier in this, she can see more and when she falls asleep it is so easy to lay her back with clicking sounds. Love, Love, Love this product. Oh yeah the price was perfect!

  35. Tori on July 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

Walking with this stroller was fine, but jogging made this stroller wobble like crazy with no warning. The front wheel and frame bent completely under the stroller. This almost tipped the stroller with my five week old daughter in it while going down a steep hill. The only good thing was she was in her infant seat that was compatible with this stroller, so she was really strapped in well. I would not recommend this stroller to anyone!

  36. Jen- 1st time mom on July 21st, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller is great for walking- but that’s about it. I’ve been running with it for about a month now and the front wheel is getting worse every day. It wobbles and shakes every couple of minutes so bad, that after today, I refuse to use it for running. I’m definately going to try to return it and try a different brand before the wheel falls off like so many other parents have experienced. Baby Trend should be ashamed of this product as it is a ‘Jogging Stroller’, is it not?

  37. 2babiesmama on July 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller is just stupid. We had it 3 months (barely used it because it turns out I didn’t want to jog as badly as I thought) before the whole thing started to shake uncontrollably any time we pushed it. We can’t even walk down the sidewalk with it. It’s totally useless. We can’t find any reason why it shakes… it does it out of nowwhere, even when the front wheel is locked straight. Just dumb.

Two friends have this same stroller and have the same problem, so we’re not alone. I can’t even sell it, it’s so defective. What a waste.

  38. Jaynie on July 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I don’t have this exact stroller in the since of the colors…I have the one that came with the infant car seat. I think this product is wonderful and better than any other stroller. It rides very smooth..this is my only stroller and I won’t trade it for anything else. It does get wobbly when there isn’t enough weight towards the front wheel…also be careful with how much weight you hang in the back it will tip backwards.

  39. First Time Mom on July 31st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I purchased this jogger along with the matching car seat and
I’m returning them both!! The strollers tires get low really fast, its hard to control, its not good for jogging and it doesn’t close properly.
It has a plastic piece that is supposed to keep it closed when folded but it does not work at all!… i do not recommend it

  40. Mother of 2 on August 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

Someone needs to tell everyone that the wobbly tire problem is due to a great bit nut underneath the food plate. It becomes loose in the shipment of the box from the manufacturer to the store. I had the same problem, called the company. They coached me thru the fix. It went from miserable to the best jogging stroller I’ve ever had.

  41. Mr. G's Mommy on August 6th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller started out ok. We wanted something to walk and run with. We quickly learned you can’t RUN with this stroller or JOG. No matter what you do with the front wheel it still shakes out of control. Well we toughed it out with this stoller for 2 years and it finally died on us. The front tire completely fell off and bent the post that hold it. It scared me and my 2 year old son. The stroller never worked great and now it is in the trash. It also has poor shade for the child, horrible cup holders for child and parent. Everything falls out. Not a good way to spend your money!!!

  42. On the go mom on August 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

    *Hard to store

I would only recommend this for slow straight jogs and for the fact that it was the first of its kind to hold and infant carrier. If you have an infant, this may be for your first “athletic” stroller. For toddlers I would recommend a more comfortable, and reliable jogger (this does shake if your pace is faster than a slow jog…even if you “fix” it with the manufacture).

  43. Mom on August 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I think this was a great idea but there need to be some kinks worked out. It is extremely difficult to stear, try and find one that has a swivel front wheel. It is really heavy and bulky; you need room to store it.

  44. The Robertsons on August 17th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller has been wonderful. We have the same stroller just 2 years old. We have put some miles on it. The only suggestion for improvement is the size of cup holders… not big enough and not deep enough… if you hit the slightest bump, you end up dumping your water. We slimmed the tires and have never had a flat since!

  45. Urban Trailblazer on August 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I wanted a jogging stroller because our son was getting too big to comfortably push in his regular stroller. He is almost 3 and weighs 34 pounds. This stroller has been terrific for both of us. He is much more comfortable and even naps in this stroller. I like to go on 2-3 mile walks and find this stroller incredibly easy to push, even on the broken up sidewalks of L.A. The large basket for storage is terrific. I wish I’d bought this a year ago.

  46. First time active mummy on August 27th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Loved the compact design, however, the front wheel wobbled like crazy! Our daughter was born in jan, so by time i got to use it, it was spring time. The front wheel seemed as if it was out of line because it made the whole stroller shake like crazy!! not very safe!! I contacted babytrend, and they said there was nothing that they could do for me because it had been longer than 90 days. ( it did not matter that it was a gift from my baby shower!) This company does not back its products up!! […] To no avail, we had the same prob! I am now strollerless!!

  47. Riley Monsters Mom on September 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

super smooth ride. no wheel problems. the car seats goes in easy

  48. Momof2Boys on September 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Super easy to put together, I did it myself. Comfortable, love the adjustable sunshade, and the pockets on it. This thing is so smooth and light you can let go and it just keeps going on its own! Great parent tray, love that it comes with it’s own little air pump that stores right underneath. My only issue is that having an 8 month old the seat does not sit up quite high enough for a little guy. I find I have to leave his arms out of the straps and just snap it around his waist. That way he can sit forward and grab things in the tray. An issue that will resolve itself as he gets older I guess. It also does not fold up real small. Luckily I have room in my expedition but definitely fold it and see if it will fit before you buy. Other than those two issues this is just an awesome stroller for such a low price! I highly recommend it!

The gift recipient will use the product when she jogs.

  50. grandmomma on September 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This is a wonderful stroller for us. We are walkers and use the bike trail almost daily. We haven’t used this as a jog stroller, but we are fast walkers. This one is great for infant to 50 pounds. We did buy from BRU a pad to cushion the ride a little that makes for a better fit.

I LOVE this stroller! I cannot live without this stroller. As a runner, I wanted to get back to running after my baby was born. I did a lot of research and settled on this one! Great choice! I am so happy with this stroller. The wheel locks for running. You just need to make wide turns. It takes some getting used to, but I wanted to get abck to running right away. For walking, unlock the wheel and this stroller is easy to turn. My husband is not a runner, but loves to take this stroller to the zoo, park and on walks. It is easy to push through a crowd, when the wheel is unlocked, it turns on a dime. It has a smooth ride, easy to push and goes on any surface (even grass). It is as lightweight as a big stoller can get. I can lift is myself into my SUV. My husband has to force it into the truck of his car since it does not fold down very small. My daugheter is now 11 months old and the stroller is going strong. I can tell she is comfy because she likes the wind blowing through her hair and is asleep before we are all the way home from our run! I would purchase this over and over!

  54. JnJEck on September 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I’ve used this stroller 3x a week for months, and it has held up well. The only problem is that the front wheel wobbles way too much when it is on the swivel mode, so I don’t use it. My son loves the tray. He is able to snack and play with toys while I run.

  55. First Time Parents on September 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We have had no problems with this stroller and would recomend it to anyone! It’s sturdy and has a very strong frame. It’s a great stroller for active parents who travel and use trails at parks etc. The best is the easy removable back wheels and folds up small enough to fit in the trunk of our small compact car.
    Best we found!

  56. The new mommy in Staten Island NY on September 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I registered for this jogger when I was pregnant…I went to BRU and tried out every one. I’m 6′ and my husband is 6’4 and we needed something high enough so that we weren’t bending over… It’s super easy to fold down and I swear..the easiest thing i’ve ever assembled in my whole life. The wheels literally snap in and the only thing you have to screw into place is the foot plate. Outstanding!!!

We love taking our son for walks in the park…going in the grass, dirt and along the unbeaten paths all around Staten Island.

My aunt bought the same one for her two year old when I told her how awesome it is but sorry for her she got bad wheels…she called the manufacturer and they gave her a refund!! Great company..she bought new tires and still had quite a bit of money left for the rain guard and a couple of toys to keep him occupied!

I would recommend this for everybody..I don’t jog but I’m sure this would be good for that..I bought it because I hate the look of traditional strollers…It was super easy to put together and fold up and rides like a dream…jeez..i sound like my grandmother:) LOL…good jogger:)

Oh yeah, a million places to store stuff (small though) and a little heavy..but other than that i give it a 10.

After reading the reviews for both the baby trend expedition stroller and the jeep stroller I had made my decision I would buy the jeep stroller. After going to the store and test driving each I came home with this stroller. Some reviewers complain about the front wheel wobbling. We don’t have this problem. The only way I can see this being an issue is if the front wheel is turned sideways and then you try to push it forward. Of course it will take a second to correct itself. Of course I don’t plan on running with this stroller, however, as I power walked with it I had no problems. I also bought the matching car seat and am beyond pleased with the combo. Great buy!

  58. Busy in Carlsbad on October 4th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I’m not the most “active runner” but I used the stroller for mostly getting around and walking. If you buy this stroller- BUY THE BUYER PROTECTION PLAN. Trust me-you’ll need it. The front wheel bearings came off (small metal balls that help the front wheel turn) after 2 weeks (on the first one) and 5 months later (on the second one). […] What did I end up with- the BOB stroller. Do yourself a favor and just spend the $12.00 extra on the extended warrenty plan- you’ll need it!

  59. Kristen on October 4th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This stroller was so easy to put together. Rides very smooth. I can fit this stroller in the trunk of my Honda Accord and still have room to place the grocery bags around it.

  60. Catskat- Busy Mom on October 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We loved the ease of the stroller but hate the fact we had to return it TWICE. First breakdown, was 2 weeks after purchase. The front wheel broke due to wheel bearings (small round metal balls) faling out. Second time, same reason, after 5 months of use. Mind you, we did not abuse this stroller. In fact, we use it for walks and those trips to the soccer fields. […] What did we end up with.. the BOB stroller. worth every penny

  61. reese's mama on October 7th, 2008 at 12:00 am

We’ve taken this stroller on power walks and through the woods and it’s been great. Per Baby Trend, keep the wheel locked when jogging and swivel when just walking or shopping. Great stoller under $150.

  62. New Mom on October 14th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I use this for everything – Running & going to the mall. It drives verry smothly. There is a little gear at the top right that you have to pull to turn. It took me some time to figure that one out. It was hard to fith in the truck of my sadan but once you get used to it and angle right it fits perfect.

  63. Pipersmom on October 19th, 2008 at 12:00 am

This was so easy to put together! I had read all the reviews and talked to people who had bought one. Everything people said that was negative can be found in the owners manual. If the front tire is too wobbly, tighten the bolt in the front, but it tells you how in the manual. So far, we have no complaints.

  64. McKenna on October 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

We registered for this stroller after reading several high reviews, wheeling it around the store, and deciding on a jogging stroller. After the stroller was assembled at home, we tried to fold it down for transport. It is huge! Not only was it heavy, but even when folded, it would not fit in our car trunks (Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla). Kinda defeats the purpose of having a stroller if you can’t fit it in your car! If you enjoy lifing heavy items and wrestling bulky equipment – buy this stroller (you get an upperbody workout prior to the jog with baby!). We did return the Expedition stroller and have happily purchased the BabyJogger City Mini – incredibly light and excellent quality!

  65. Texan on October 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Stroller is smooth. Great for all terrains.Dislike the way it folds together as the latching mechanism is not robust. Additionally, after 2 months of use, the bearing on the front wheel gave up which led to not being able to turn freely. The wheel eventually fell off. Now I’m in need of a replacement bearing.

  66. Grace's Mommy on October 31st, 2008 at 12:00 am

My husband and I bought this stroller and the matching car seat to create a jogging stroller travel system. We LOVE it so far. It is easy to fold, easy to maneuver, rides incredibly smooth, and looks sleek. Our daughter snuggles up in the car seat when we are out on walks and falls asleep every time. I haven’t tried jogging with it yet because my baby is too young and I am still recovering from a c-section, but I will in the future as I am an avid runner. Speaking of recovery, I have been able to move this stroller around since getting home from the hospital, even with my c-section restrictions. It’s very lightweight! I highly recommend this product!

  67. disappointed mom on November 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 am

Take heed of the other reviews about the front wheel falling off. After only 3 months of walking around town – i.e. no jogging, no trips on the bus. Really LIGHT USAGE. The ball bearings fell out because the front axle loosened. We have lost half the ball bearings and the thing is ruined…

  68. Christineh on November 10th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Great stroller! I have had no proplems and I have had it for a little over five months! I have two sets of steps that I have to go up and down and this stroller works great! My little girl fits nice and comfy in it and it looks great!

Great for shopping! can turn on a dime! I love that the wheel can lock or not!

Had some problems putting it together because they gave me two sets of directions (one for my stroller and one for another).

A little bulky when it folds up but it still slides easily under the crib and into my cars.
    I love it!

  69. sd mommy on November 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

after using it for 9 months i havent had any real problems other than replacing a flat tire which was my fault. i’ve used the stroller in all terrain “off roading” practically. whiile my jogging buddy who has a b.o.b stroller has to carry her air pump everywhere because her tires are always low. the best part my 8 pound dog gets to ride on the basket and the men love the rims…lol

  70. VERY UPSET MOM on November 15th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I really do love the look of this stroller, I also had the matching carseat. But I finally had to settle for a different brand, only because I had already exchanged mine 3 times and all three of them were defective =( The first one the bearings came off and it literally felt like the wheel was going to wobble right off. The second one was a manufacturer defect and the front wheel was welded on wrong. The the third one I thought that maybe I would have had more luck but unfortunatley this one the whole wheel just fell off while I was walking in a store. I ended up finally getting the Jeep jogger and I haven’t had any problems.

  71. Mike on November 16th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I had read the reviews on the front wheel shimmy so was careful to make sure it was tight per the manufacturers instructions. I was jogging along and the second I went into a sprint, the front wheel shook so wildly it went sideways, bent the fork and axle so badly I had to abandon the stroller and carry my son home. I was lucky not to fly over the thing and ram my son face first into the ground. If you’ve already brought this thing, lock the wheel straight for anything faster than a walk. If you haven’t bought it don’t. A jogging stroller that goes unstable if you jog is nothing but a terrible design.

  72. Marty on November 19th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Absolute total JUNK!!!!!! The first problem was missing parts. The next problem is the bearings in the front wheel are not working correctly. I was using the stroller in a easy to navigate place(Philadelphia museum of art) when the front wheel turned to the side and practically turned the stroller over. I called the company to get the problem resolved but they are very unhelpful. DO NOT BUY BABY TREND PRODUCTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  73. jj's mom on November 19th, 2008 at 12:00 am

At first we loved the stroller, but now the front wheel wobbles so much that we have to stop and check that it is not going to fall off. I am scared that one day I will be out for a long walk and it will fall off. If I put it in the lock position it doesn’t happen but it is harder to turn. I registered for it so it can turn easy. My son loves it! He falls asleep in it all the time. 🙂

  74. mahbabysmama on November 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

I have this stroller as part of a travel system. The stroller is definitely useless for jogging. The front wheel wobbles and stroller shakes at a fast walk. I like the storage on top for keys and such and the storage underneath is good too. It is kind of aggravating that you have to recline the seat all the way to fold the stroller flat then readjust the seat next time you use it. The infant carrier was okay; the only downside to it was the seam at baby’s head level. My daughter did not have hair along the line around her head where the seam was until she grew out of this carrier.

  75. Steve, active dad on November 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I cannot recommend this stroller at all. As many of the reviews have noted, the front wheel is defective and wobbles. Some people in their reviews claim that if you jog with the wheel unlocked that this is the reason for the wobble. This is not the case, when WALKING, at a normal pace; the wheel will begin to wobble. Also, the wheel pulls the stroller and it is difficult to steer. I bought this stroller, mainly because of the price, but I soon found out that the old saying is true; you get what you paid for. After three weeks with the stroller and nothing done by me to knock the wheel loose, the wheel started to wobble. First, I tried to call Baby Trend customer service, but I was unable to get them on the phone. I tried to adjust the wheel nut, but I could not get the stroller to perform as it originally did. Unable to get Baby Trend on the phone, I returned the stroller to the store and asked for a new one. On the new stroller, there was even now a sticker talking about what to do if the wheel wobbles. Sure enough, a few days later, the wheel started to wobble. When the instructions from Baby Trend have a section about the problematic wheel and what to do when it wobbles, I should have known that there was going to be problems. So tonight, I am going to return the stroller again, and this time I am going to get a refund and buy a different brand of stroller. These types of strollers can be expensive, so it is really a shame that Baby Trend just did not spend a few dollars more and designed a better stroller. I would have gladly paid $10-20 more for a functioning stroller. Baby trend should stop producing this stroller.

  76. busy mom on the go on December 1st, 2008 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller, I purchased it as a travel system along with the infant car seat and absolutely love both items, I am a busy mom always on the go and this stroller is perfect, with my first daughter I had a jogger travel system but the front wheel did not swivel like this product and that was sooo frustrating as I had to lift the front tire off the ground to turn the stroller, I did like the concept of an “all terrain” stroller because we like to go off the beaten path and I like to run as well, this time I wanted the front wheel to swivel so I could go anywhere easily and not have to worry about “tight” situations, I could not beat the price either, not to mention the system I had before cost over $400.00 what a waste!! I purchased this entire system for just under [$] and got everything I could have asked for and more!! I can still jog by locking the front wheel and turn on a dime with it unlocked when I am around town, it is stylish which is important to me and it was easy to assemble I did it myself without my husbands help in under 15 minutes, and yes I was 8 months prego, it was one of the few joggers with a 2 cup holder key/cell phone tray, and i love all of the storage the zipper pockets on the sides of the rain block along whith the large basket underneath, it is very stable and not so big that i have a hard time lifting and folding it, I would recommend this stroller to any mom and I have not had a problem with it yet, i have a feeling i will use this stroller for at least 3-4 years as it will adjust for the stages to come…

  77. proud first time mommy! on December 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am

yes the wheel whobbles if it is unlocked. When I lock it, its fine. Problem solved. My husband and I go walking, running with it. It’s great. I’ve never had a flat tire, I’ve never had to make repair. Were happy with it. I love that the carrier snaps right in and pops right out.

  78. Kristen Mom of 4 on December 12th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The first one I got broke about 2 weeks later[…] I hardly used but now I’ve had this one for about 1 month and the same problem.. Can you guess? YUP the front wheel feels like it’s going to fall right off and I had to take my baby across the mall on 2 wheels lifting her up… DONT BUY! Thought I would have good luck and didn’t take all the reviews into consideration but now I wish I would of!

  79. Concerned Father on December 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

Front Wheel will fall right off. Do not buy this stroller. Waste of money. Wheel fell off three weeks into using it.

  80. zelly on December 29th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The reason I bought the stroller was for the front wheel, which turned out to be the worst part of it. When unlocked, so the wheel can turn, the stroller shakes so bad it seems dangerous for the baby. The stroller is extremely large and does not fit in the trunk of my Honda. The carrier is the heaviest on the market. And because my stroller was a gift I didn’t return it, I discovered that it only gets harder to fold up over time.

  81. Jordan's Mommy on December 30th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I lvoe this stroller. When I first purcahsed it I did have a problem with the front wheel not being on tight enough. I just tightend the bolt and it has been great ever since. My 3 year old son is very tall for his age and he fits perfectly in this stroller, he can even sleep comfortably in it. It is a little bulky and a little hard to fold but overall i am very pleased with this stroller.

  82. Lisa on January 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

The experience with this travel system wasn’t entirely bad: I liked the triangle handle on the carseat (makes for easy maneuvering), it cleaned easily, it handles jogging well with a smooth ride, and under carriage had plenty room. My model didn’t have a front swivel wheel and turned like a lawn mower (not fun at the mall). Folding the stroller was near SO difficult. And it will no fit in the trunk of a car. ANY car. The carseat straps tangled a lot, but that wasn’t as bad as how heavy the carrier is empty (then add a baby to it…) My advice is to go to a store and test it out. Try to fold it, turn it, push it, carry the carrier with a 10 lb weight (grab a box of wipes). See how it feels. But I’m betting there are lighter, smaller, equally functional jogging strollers out there. PS: If you’re planning to jog with your newborn… It has a warning sign for you NOT to jog with an infant due to shaken baby syndrome…I found that out after purchase. Hope that helps.

  83. runner/mom on January 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We have used this stroller for everything. I’ve trained for 4 races with daughter in tow (or push), we use it at malls, baseball games etc. As long as you use it properly it is great. Lock the wheel at high speeds and use the unlocked mode when walking leasurly. If you keep the wheel unlocked while running or walking fast it will shake alot (just as all the bad reviews say). This stroller while a jogger is still compact enough to fit in my small trunk. I love the tray for mom and baby. It has plenty of storage for all mom’s stuff and baby’s stuff too. The only complaint is that the straps are a little tight b/c I like to bundle my baby when I’m going for a cool jog and the restraints are a bit tight in this case. I would buy this stroller over and over it is wonderful!

  84. Dad on January 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Yes the front wheel like everybody else says is junk! Way too heavy and bulky over time it won’t fold up like it used to. Many flats due to the roughness of the inside of the rims. Buy any other brand but this one!!!!

  85. just want to walk with my baby on January 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Unfortunately, I have issues with the front wheel. I have read the reviews and I didn’t have the whobbling issue like others have said, in fact when I CAN use the jogger, it was a really smooth ride. My problem is with a constant flat tire. I have had 5 flat tires in less than the two months I’ve been using the jogger. I walk and jog with it on bike trails and I don’t consider myself hard on it, but I did want it based on it all terrain capabilities. My parents had purchased this for me when I first became pregnant and the waranty had expired well before I could even use the stroller. I found that Baby Trend customer service was horrible after you actually are able to get them on the phone. A customer service representative actually told me it was silly to have purchased the stroller so far in advance! I just feel that if we carry a baby for 9 months and then are told to take it easy for 6 additional weeks, the warranty should at least be more than 6 months. My only choice now is to continue to put money into the front wheel or purchase another brand of jogger…I’ll be purchasing another brand of jogger and that is disappointing. Never again will I buy from Baby Trend and it’s more because of customer service than my disappointment in this product.

I have had this stroller for 2 years now and love it. I see the other reviews about the tires going flat. I had the same issue, especially with all the rough terrain I was taking this stroller on. Simple Solution: Take the wheels off and take them to a local bike store. I had new tubes put in all 3 tires, plus the spray and fills small holes inside the tubes. Paid less than $20 to have all 3 tires done. Have not had a problem since.

  88. thesykboy on January 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My wife purchased this stroller for me to use when I rollerblade with my son several months ago. I immediately had the same problem as many others with the wobbling front wheel.

After READING THE INSTRUCTIONS, it was stated that if you experience a wobbly front wheel, all you need to do is tighten the nut holding the front wheel on. I did, and VIOLA!, now I can charge down the road with this baby and it is smooth as silk.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! This is a great stroller!

  89. First time mom on January 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I just love my jogger. I have a similar Expedition model. Yes, it is heavy. Yes, it will not fit in the truck of a car. Yes, it will only fold up with the front wheel in the correct position and the back of the seat down. Please read the directions carefully when assembling this product “in regards to the assembly of the front wheel”. I have never had any problems with my product. We use it everywhere. Shopping, walking, jogging, off-road, great for festivals on the grass and hills. No, you can not jogg with a child under 6 months old. Really, why would you even want to. I bought a bug net and a rain cover and use them a lot. It is easy to fold and unfold. Heavy duty construction. I’m going to guess that others just got lemons. It happens in the world of “everything not made in the USA”. I would totally recommend this jogger to everyone I know and I already have. My friends all love joggers too. But, keep in mind everything is buyer beware. Also, my son just loves to ride in his jogger and has ever since we bought it when he was 3 months old (now he is 17 months old). Also, this is a smooth riding jogger. It does turn heads due to its styling.

  90. Beach Mommy on February 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We have had this stroller for 10 months- since our son was born. We have used every aspect of its functionality and have been very pleased overall:

*The carseat part is easy to install and durable. Our baby outgrew it right around 22 pounds. This stroller has grown well with our baby.

*The infant carrier installs easily into the stroller and the shades come together nicely. Oh, the naps our little guy had in there!

*It is a heavy stroller, but I could pull it out and open it with one hand.

*The jogging function works great. We run about 9-12 miles a week and have had no problems- however we stay to sidewalks and paved areas. This would not be the stroller for you if you are going on trails. Great value for a jogger.

*There was some occasional ‘wheel wobble’ while using the infant carrier in tandem with the stroller. This torque is due to not having enough weight over the front wheel. The was easily solved by using the locking feature on the front wheel, or lifting up on the handle bars for a little bit to distribute some weight up front. This went away once the baby started riding in the stroller without the carrier attached.

*The handling is great, not too wide and very maneuverable- much more so than the 4-wheeled strollers we were looking at!

*We get compliments on the styling of it all the time. It looks very cool… for a stroller, anyway.

Overall the value of this stroller is tremendous for the price. This is a good option for anyone who would like a jogging stroller- or any nice stroller, really, but doesn’t want to shell out for a BOB.

  91. dn6482 on February 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller!!! It works great! My tires have never gone flat. The only problem I encounter is when it’s time to fold the stroller I have to pull on the locks pretty hard to close. Other than that it’s no biggy. The tires are easy to remove. I rides smoothly…. I’ve gotten many compliments..

  92. Jennifer, mother of four on February 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller did not meet my expectations at all. The swivel front wheel shock uncontrollably and the locking mechanism did not work. When I called Baby Trend to inform them, they refused to stand behind their product. Graco products are for me. I would not recommend any Baby Trend purchase.

  93. Active mom on February 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have used this stroller at least 3-4 times a week for the past almost two years. I do some jogging but mainly fast walking. Living in NH, it travels through mud, snow, water, etc. and it has held up to EVERYTHING! It has been the BEST stroller as compared to others we have used or looked at. It was perfect for when my son was an infant because it’s one of the only jogging strollers to accommodate infants. Now he is almost 2 and still loves the stroller as do we! The seat goes up and down easily so we could lay him down if he fell asleep and it wouldn’t wake him up. The front wheel locks for our fast walks and unlocks for the stores which is great. The only thing that I wish was different about it is that it is really big when it’s folded up. It’s very easy to fold up but takes up a lot of space. It just barely fit into my mother’s Honda Accord trunk, but I had no problem with my hatchback Subaru. I love this stroller and am thinking about getting another one for my next child so that I don’t have to push a double and my mom can push one and I can push the other. I would also recommend getting the raincover for it that not only holds out rain and snow but keeps the child toasty on windy or colder days. Excellent stroller!

  94. momof2infla on February 15th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is amazing and I use it everyday for everything I need to do. Other reviewers have stated some problems and, yes, my front wheel was shaking too. But, my husband tightened the wheel with a screwdriver and now it glides perfectly- not a bit of shaking. I did not have to lock the wheel, just tighten it as tight as it can get and you will have no more shaking problems. My tires havent gone flat yet and we use it A LOT!! It is very comfortable for my 11 month old son and the sun shade is adjustable, which is a must-have in Florida. The basket holds a lot of things, including groceries. I have gotten many compliments on this stroller because it looks really trendy. It is truly just a pleasure to have for me and my son. It just needed a little fine tuning and you have an excellent stroller for a great price.

I use this stroller EVERYDAY! I use it for very long walks, usually up hill. I use the stroller for trips to the mall, amusement parks and its GREAT! My daughter seems to be super comfortable in it and it fits thru just about any aisle (even at department stores) it does take up a bit of room in the car but i do believe its worth it. Has plenty of room for anything you might need to bring along and theres room for all the “just in case” stuff. it manuevers very easily and also looks great! I love that the seat reclines so my daughter can lay down while she naps in it. Plenty of cupholders for me and my daughter and a compartment to keep my cell phone and keys at hand!

My husband and I are very pleased with this BT jogger. For [$] (we had a 20% off coupon) we’re thrilled with all the bells and whistles. I’m favorable to a lightweight umbrella Maclaren as far as strollers go but have owned other BT gear and really liked them. The hubby wanted a jogger for our toddler since he walks the kids to school, around the city and parks. He’s very happy with it and I pushed it around this weekend through the mall and I’m impressed, I was able to do it with one hand. We’re looking forward to getting good use of the air tires while using it in the rougher terrain and mountains at our seasonal home. The swivel wheel makes a huge difference as our last jogger did not have this feature. All the other extras are great and it’s easy to adjust and fold. Thanks BT.

I bought the travel system version of this stroller, i love the car seat. it is very light but, seems very durable, I love the triangular handle.
The first time I went running with the stroller i forgot to lock the front wheel. My mistake caused the stroller to nearly tip over. After I figured out the wheel lock the stroller was great. it’s very smooth and easy to maneuver.
my only complaint is that i have to take off the rear wheels and struggle with the stroller to get it into my trunk. i drive a Pontiac Gt which has a fairly large trunk it does not fit into my husbands chevy cavalier.

Hate the hassle of taking wheels off to fit in trunk. Also too heavy..

  100. Moms the word on March 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The stroller is very nice & smooth…perfect for a nice run, but using it as a stoller around town is another story. It is very big and bulky…the seat does not even sit up all the way (my son wants to sit up and look around not recline back). The tray in front is NOT removable and it is difficult to put my son in the stroller. There is little to no storage under the stroller…it doesn’t even fit the diaper bag. It is also very hard to fold up! It’s okay and will do, but prefer the BOB stroller!

  101. baby mama on March 14th, 2009 at 12:00 am

very easy to navigate, great size, not too bulky, fits into my VW golf!!! hate the car seat, though…

  102. aprilyn on March 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this stroller for two reasons: first, we live in a neighborhood without sidewalks and with awful streets and we walk a lot so we needed something durable and with inflatable tires; second, we wanted a carseat/stroller duo to make in/out of car from our fourth floor home easier. The stroller has absolutely met both these needs, and that’s why I’m recommending. However, there are a couple big BUTS here, one being that the handle on the carseat is very difficult to maneuver. Sometimes I get so frustrated I yell! The other thing is that the front wheel, when unlocked, can get crazy wobbly. Fortunately I don’t jog, so when on my walks I just lock the wheel and when I need to make a turn I shift the front of the stroller off the ground. Some other people who push our baby sometimes find this really annoying. Alas, I have no regrets. And for it’s size I find it very easy to collapse and fit into the back of our station wagon.

  103. Maryland Mommy on March 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Most of my friends bought those big Graco travel systems, and I saw how big they were, but they didn’t seem to be suited for a lot of outdoor walking like we do. (I have a big dog, so we walk a mile or so once or twice a day.) The Baby Trend jogger seemed much more fairly priced than a lot of other joggers– and it does beautifully outside. My daughter snoozes in it all the time, since she was about 3-4 months old. We didn’t get the car seat with it, so I have a separate car seat and universal seat carrier that I use when I go to the store, etc. I don’t see myself dragging this big thing to the mall, but its a good neighborhood stroller. I tend to keep the front wheel locked straight, because its easier to push and to drag up and down our front steps that way. I also took the front tray off for now, because its right in my daughter’s line of vision (she’s 6 mos old.) I’ll put it back on when she gets a little taller. I haven’t jogged with it, so I can’t speak to that, but its a great walker’s stroller!

I was perfectly happy with this stroller until the swivel wheel broke. It happened when I was about a mile away from the house so I had to push it with the front wheel up in the air the whole way. I figured all I would need to do is tighten the nut that holds the front wheel together (like the assembly instructions said I would) but after several variations of tightening and loosening the nut, the wheel seems to be broken. Good thing I let the sales clerk talk me into the warranty!!! Now I can get my money back. What a bummer though. I was hoping not to have to spend a ton of money on a jogging stroller but in this case, sometimes you get what you pay for.

  105. TXMom on March 28th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I thought I needed an expensive jogging stroller, but I “settled” for this one due to a tight budget. No regrets! The wheels are nice and big, and it comes with a portable airpump, although I haven’t had to use it after filling up the wheels the first time. We have uneven and cracked sidewalks around here, but it holds up just fine. The swivel wheel works well, just enough for tight corners but the fixed wheel is the most stable for walking around. The shade isn’t perfect, but it’s good enough. The stroller is lightweight enough for walking but not too flimsy, and it’s a good size for our home (although it might be too big and too heavy if you want to put it into the car regularly). This stroller was just what I needed and nothing more.

  106. Erin on March 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have owned this stroller for over two year. I usually run 12+ miles a week and have had no problems with it. I almost back over it with my car and bent the frame a little and it still works great.

  107. Cuban mon in Houston on March 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Very easy to walk and steer, easy to assembly. My son likes it, he loves to ride in it. It is roomy and has a smooth ride. It is a little big when folded, but I only used around my neighborhood, I don’t put it in my car.

  108. 'The Nanny" on April 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

It is so light, easy to manuver, folds up so easy.
It is not very compact when folded.

I bought this used from a friend who never unlocked the front wheel b/c of the horrible wobble. I asked my hubby to look at it and was able to resolve that wobbly wheel issue. He had to take off the black plastic foot rest completely (screws underneath). Then he adjusted the bolt holding the wheel to the stroller tightening and loosening until the wheel no longer wobbled, but didn’t stick. It takes a bit of patience, but he was able to fix it and now I walk the malls in and out of clothes racks and walk/jog outside.

  110. Misty on April 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I hate this troller already. i have only used it a few times since my baby is only 2 mos old and the front wheel wobbles like crazy to where i think its going to give my baby brain damage. when i lock the the front wheel the whole stroller pulls drastically to the left so every five feet i have to lift up the front of the stroller and replace it on the ground so i don’t run into cars or right off the sidewalk into the street. in addition, my tires seem to go flat pretty easily. i don’t have to fill them up every time, but they never seem to stay full of air.

If i could do over again i would definatley pony up the dough and buy a better made stroller. this stroller is very cheaply designed and once you have one you realize that the amount of money you did pay even though at the time seemed cheap, was actually a lot for what you get.

  111. 1st-time Mom on April 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

Easy to use. Nice ride! Love that you can attach the infant car seat–one of the only joggers that does this. Wish it could fold down a bit more compactly–kinda big for our compact car (almost doesn’t fit in the trunk). Overall, we really like this stroller!

  112. ag on April 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

The first time we returned it because it wasn’t locking when folded up. The next time, the front swivel wheel kept on wiggling causing the whole stroller to shake. Wanted it to work since I’m so active and like to take the baby out everyday but not worth it!

  113. Mom who would like to jog.... on April 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is AWFUL!! Jog HA you can barely even walk without the wheel wobbling like has a mind of its own. I have tightened the wheel like the directions say, and i have tried it locked, to no avail, the stroller is still complete and absolute GARBAGE!!! I am going to attempt to call the company, but from what eveyone else has said, i won’t get any help from them…i think it is truly sad that we have all had this problem, and they still will not do anything to right their wrong…. 🙁

  114. One Angry Mom! on April 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I received this jogger as a baby shower gift in September. I didn’t know anything about this brand, it wasn’t on my registry, I hadn’t even done a registry yet. I kept it without looking into the brand beause I thought my co-workers, who were parents knew it was a good brand. My son was born in December and he was a premmie so I didn’t take him out in the jogger while it was still cold outside. I finally used the jogger for the first time in March. I used it four times before I experienced the infamous WOBBLE WHEEL. i too tried the tightening of the front wheel, which only made it worse! […] baby trend knows it made a faulty product and they refuse to fix the problem without charging their customers more money […]. I also have the baby trend car seat and my handle also gets stuck and I have the snap and go stroller and the front wheel squeals and stops rolling occasionally.

  115. Soapsmama on April 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller last summer wanting to use it to go jogging/walking with to get the baby weight off…. I used it a couple of times and the wheel started wobbling like crazy!! I took apart the attachment where the wheel is housed and found that the part that makes it swivel was completely stripped!!! I didn’t even use it more than 5 times!! I am so bummed that I spent so much money on this stinkin stroller that I now have to sell at a garage sale for like 20 bucks! Ugh!

  116. Busy Bee on April 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this travel system last June when I had my son. The carseat was great but when it came time to use the stroller I was always a pain to open and close (Not my first child so yes I’m sure I was doing it right) and when I was able to use it, it always folds up with my son in it!! I called Babytrend and they told me I would have to ship it to them and they would replace the broken part at your cost of course. I don’t know how many of you have ever maile a stroller to CA but it’s not cheap and neither is buying one to use while they fix yours in the 6-8 weeks it takes 🙂 Anyway my advice is just stick with Graco!!!

  117. Sassymom on April 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller for my 9 month old daughter. We have a very long stone driveway. This stroller makes it smoothly over all the rocks. My daughter loves it. Very easy to put together. I did it myself in about a half hour.

  118. Dre on April 19th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I was given a double stroller from a friend and needed a single. Not necessarily for jogging, but just at the mall and zoo and for walks. The first few times it worked great…I bought it for the front wheel and the ease of turns it allowed. Soon the front wheel would wobble and we’d tighten it and loosen it trying to get it just right but couldn’t. We exchanged it for another one. Same issues! The next one the front wheel would also get stuck in positions. My husband is an engineer and he took both apart and the bearings were broken and not working properly. Also, the seat back doesn’t sit up enough. Babies are under 6 months for only so long and don’t always want to be reclined! We returned it yesterday […] and purchased an Evenflo Journey. Loved it in the store and hope it holds up!

  119. DO NOT PURCHASE!! on April 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller in September 2008 and it is now April 2009 and the ball bearing on the front wheel of the stroller is already broken. My son and i jogged with this stroller about 5 times a week (like i figured you could because its a jogging stoller). Now it is unusable, and i can’t find a replacment ballbearing. Please dont waste your money!!!

  120. Jack's mom on April 24th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have had this stroller since Aug 08 and have yet to be impressed. It pulls to the left when you’re just walking with it and today the front wheel popped off while my 9 month old son was in it! Thankfully I was not running, actually I was just popping up the front wheel in order to turn it and that is when the wheel popped off, unbeknownst to me; my stroller, son and all slammed down on the sidewalk. Thankfully he was not hurt. Aside from the wheel issues, it is VERY bulky and difficult to get in and out of a trunk and the stroller itself is bulky and hard to manuever through the isles at a store. I used to recommend it to people who where just going to use for jogging and said to have a back up, smaller stroller for out and about…no longer! Had I been running, my son could have been hurt. Just be cautious. Lastly, I do not recommend this for babies until they are able to sit up by themselves, the stroller is built for a larger child and until recently, my son was always slumped over even with the belts attached. Good luck finding a jogger, I have many friends who have them from other venders and no one seems all that happy…especially when they shelling out the big bucks.

  121. Luke's Momma on April 27th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I got this stroller as a gift at my baby shower in April 08 & thought it was great! Our local sidewalks aren’t “stroller friendly” so I wanted something that would make it easier on me & my son; this seemed like the perfect solution! Let me tell ya… I was seriously mistaken!

My first complaint is the recline… it has a simple plastic latch that slips so the back reclines further (as if it needed to!)… also it takes both hands to fold the stroller, which doesn’t always go smoothly, so hopefully your not alone… The shade does move 180 degrees to shade sun out of my son’s eyes, but it doesn’t come down as far as some of the others do… the storage compartment is WAY too small… I have to take a plastic sack with me cuz the diaper bag won’t fit… The cupholders are an odd size; water bottles & sippy cups fall out, and fountain pops are too big… the tray is too high for baby, the harness doesn’t keep him in place, I constantly have to pull him up so he don’t fall out… the wheels ALWAYS go flat (and I don’t jog with it or take it on rough terrain)…

… and worst of all… I was at the mall 4 months after I bought it & the rear tire came loose and constantly shakes! there’s no way to repair it or tighten it at all… but it was still under warranty so i contacted the manufacturer… they said that i would have to pay shipping costs to and from their department, and if it’s non-defective i would have to pay for repairs out of pocket! boo baby trend!

my step-mom said it was on clearance so i guess you get what you pay for! I’m stuck with it and he’s almost a year old… next time i’ll try in-step or BOB (if i can afford one!)

This is the worst jogger ever!! Don’t waste your money! I got my first jogger in October and it only lasted until March! The ball bearings completley blew out. I don’t even jog with it! It was for walks around the neighborhood. I ordered new bearings from Baby Trend (which was an ordeal in itself!) but the front wheel still wobbled horribly. I returned the jogger and got a new one of the same model. As soon as I put it together, that one’s wheel wobbled too. Bottom line, don’t be fooled by it’s good looks and price!

  124. Jess on April 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I am really surprised that there are so many bad reviews for this stroller. We used to have a Graco Metrolite travel system when my daughter was an infant and the stroller it came with was nice, but as she got older, it became more and more uncomfortable for her. My husband finally gave in and told me that if I could sell the other system for a good price, that he’d buy me a new stroller.

We actually bought this one and the smaller Trendsport Stroller. The trendsport is great because its small and folds up easily to fit in my teeny-tiny trunk, but its not nearly as comfortable as the Expedition. We went to Babies R Us and played with all of the strollers. We wanted one that wasn’t too heavy, that moved easily, that sat up all the way, and that my daughter liked. My husband actually chose this one, and I chose the Trendsport (because it would fit in my trunk). When we put my daughter in the Expedition, she laughed and didn’t want to get out. She is okay in the Trendsport but not nearly as happy. My husband said it was like making her go from a Lexus to a Hyundai. We use the Expedition for trips to the mall, or museums and my husband takes her jogging on the weekends. We also use it at the park, there are lots of great trails and she loves people watching from her seat.

We tried the Jeep jogging strollers and I liked the storage on those, but they were so much heavier and not as smooth on turns. I really love our Expedition. My only complaint is that it is bulky and its not as easy to close as my old Graco Metrolite, but it is a jogging stroller, and that’s to be expected. As far as wheel problems or rough rides, we haven’t had any issues. Maybe the other people weren’t using the wheel lock correctly, I know that can affect the wobbling. It did take a few times playing with it in the house and adjusting the cable for the wheel lock before we could get it to smoothly lock and unlock. I honestly love this stroller and would buy it again, I wish we’d bought it a long time ago. I don’t think its really appropriate for small infants though. Probably 9 months and up, maybe even a year.

Also, putting it together was actually pretty easy. It only took about 10-15 minutes. I strongly suggest following the directions carefully.

  127. Isabela's Mom on May 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I think this jogger is great for the price. I have had it since February and love it. My husband had it put together in no time and we both find it to be safe and sturdy. I use it 5-6 times a week to go jogging and have never had any issues with it. The reason I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is beacuse I think the cup holders could be a little deeper. If I’m jogging and go over a bump, my bottles have a habit of flying out. Besides that, I love it. I was suprised to see so many bad reviews.

I’m not a jogger but I wanted a stroller that I could use for walks and take to the beach. We had the stroller less than two weeks when the front wheel started shaking. It got so bad that on our last walk with this stroller I had to take my son out and carry him is 87 degrees here and I had the dog with me….needless to say I was not a happy camper! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this stroller. […]

  130. The busy mom on May 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Product is easy to fold up. The larger sized tires make walking a breeze. Won’t use anything else. Wish I had this for my oldest kid.

  131. Eileens mom on May 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I really liked this stroller when I saw it and it glide beautifully so I thought it was a great buy but not so! Unfortuantly, I buy things for what they look like not based on performance. So I lucked out on this one. I bought this for my 1 year old and now shes 2 and about 20lbs. The shaking of the front wheel has become unberable so I am looking for another stroller. So I am not very happy. Buyer beware.

  132. Computer Geek Dad on May 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I am the type who researches nearly everything I buy especially for my baby. I read through a lot of reviews good and bad and I purchased this stroller and I am pleased with it. Some people have pointed this out in their reviews but nearly all of the bad reviews may have been different had they read the MANUAL. When it comes to something as important as your child shouldn’t you take the 5 minutes out of your day to read the safety instructions??? The instructions address how to make adjustments[…] and safety procedures that were obviously not followed by other posters (like wear the safety wrist strap when running so the stroller does not get away from you). There are things I learned about strollers. Much like buying treadmills, contrary to what they look like, some are not for running and some are. All my friends who bought high end “running strollers” now only use them to hold dirty laundry in their basement. This stroller is not the high end, hardcore running stroller but it was exactly what I needed. It can be used as a running stroller but it is best suited for what I need a stroller that is smooth on grass, walking trails, and sidewalks. It rolls well on almost everything. I used the baby trend car seat with the stroller and it snaps in. The canopy from the seat and stroller come together and make a dome like cover over the baby when it rains. I was also impressed it came with a hand pump for the wheels if they go flat. It is a little bulky but if you only want a lightweight stroller for city walking only you can buy a $20 umbrella stroller. I opted for a heavier stroller that I could take more places. The stroller is not intended for hardcore running every day but it is comfortable for me and exactly what I needed, a stroller that can move over different terrain and that can adjust with the baby as she/he grows. I like the stroller and would recommend it if you are looking for the same thing I was in a stroller.

  134. First time, constantly use on May 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My boyfriend assembled the stroller, he’s pretty handy and must’ve assembled it correctly because I have no wiggly wheels. I’m a first time mommy so I didn’t really check the weight of other strollers but i think the jogger is pretty heavy and awkward to carry. I’m a stay at home mommy so I’m always out and about or going on walks. I choose to not use the carrier on walks and just put him in the stroller, when I tightened the over the shoulder straps to fit him, he stayed in place just fine, and he was only 2 1/2 months at the time! We have pretty rocky sidewalks and a graveldriveway and still never had a wiggly wheel. My only complaint is that it’s bulky (doesnt fit in the trunk of a four door cavalier), sometimes doesn’t go backwards, and on the carseat carrier, i have alot of trouble putting the handle down. Overall I like it, and it may be a little bumpy, but it has a little shock to it so it’s not rough. No wheel problems! for the people who did have problems

  135. Erika on May 20th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller was fine for the first few months if you didn’t hit a pebble or little hole in the road. Now the front wheel shakes so much that it is impossible to job with even on completely smooth, even terrain. I will never again buy this brand unless the company does something to resolve the issue.

I received this product as a shower gift. We just put it together for me to take my son on runs with me. I have used this product three times and I am extremely unhappy with it. The front wheel wobbles horribly. Doesn’t matter if I am running or just walking – stroller is of no use to us. I can’t even go a block with out it wobbling so bad that we come to a violet stop. I need to purchase another running stroller now. Just what I want to do is spend money on something I already have but is a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money.

  137. hma's gma on May 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 am

we liked it until the front wheel fell off for no known reason other than the bearings began to fall out. Or yeah it was only in use for about 3 months but the purchase was over 6 months so we are having a hard time fixing it under warranty!

We do love the idea of the jogger, the single front wheel is easy to push, just wish it had not broke!

  138. Fridaynight on May 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I researched a lot before purchasing this stroller. I’ve owned it for a year now and have used it A LOT! I’ve jogged with it, strolled the mall with it, taken it through airports and even to Six Flags several times. By reading through some of the other reviews I think I must have bought a different product – they describe it so poorly.

My husband assembled this stroller so I know everything was put together tightly and correctly. It is very easy to use – in every way. The child latch, the folding mechanism, the recline feature, etc… Since day one I have not had any problem using the stroller. It glides effortlessly with one hand through stores and aisles. It rides smoothly over rocky and rough terrain. My 2 year old can eat her snack while I go jogging. The fabric so far is holding up very well.

My favorite feature of this stroller is the front wheel locking mechanism. You can lock and un-lock the front wheel completely standing straight up. There is a button to push to lock the front wheel and then a trigger to pull to un-lock the front wheel. It also has inflatable tires. I haven’t had one pop on me, but I know if I do it’s much easier to repair/replace than a solid one which requires replacing the entire rim and tire and is costly.

It is roomy enough that my daughter isn’t cramped but not enormous like some travel systems out there. It is affordably priced in comparison to other “top of the line” jogging strollers like BOB. The canopy rotates completely around so no matter what direction you’re facing you can keep the sun out of your little one’s face.

Bottom line: I haven’t had any problems. My one small complaint is that it’s a little bulky when it collapses but I knew that going in. I recommend this stroller to anyone who asks about it. If you really have hesitations, purchase it with your American Express which will double the original warranty and keep the receipt!

This is a very nice looking stroller, but thats about it! It wobbles horribly! When I called Baby Trend they said that they could not help me and that I needed to reread the manual! Im returning it tomorrow!!!!!!!!

  140. LS on June 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I am an avid runner and this stroller is great. The car seat attachment lets me run with my 5 month old and I don’t feel like he is bouncing around as much as he would in a jogging stroller without the car seat attachment. As far as the wobbly front wheel, There is a lever on the front that keeps the front wheel straight so that it doesn’t move and makes the stroller more stable when running. It is heavier than some other jogging strollers (we also own a Trek which is much lighter), but it folds nicely and has withstood heavy use.

  141. momma of four on June 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is by far the worst one I have EVER used!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I cannot believe that Baby Trend is still allowed to sell a product that is so OBVIOUSLY faulty! If more than half of the users are reporting that it is a piece of junk…then believe us! Those of you who LOVE it, then you are the very few lucky ones. The rest of us are frustrated and out way too much money for a piece of junk. As with everyone else, my stroller’s front wheel wobbles so badly and I have even had my very handy husband replace parts on it (from Baby Trend) and it is still a piece of junk! I tried to walk this evening with my son, walk….not even jog, and it started abrubtly wobbling so badly that it spilled my bottle of water all over my son and the tray which had my ipod and cell phone in it. Needless to say, I am now out a cell phone, ipod might be ok, but also will now need a new stroller since I am throwing this one in the nearest dumpster I can find!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY…..and Baby Trend….you should be ashamed not placing a recall on a stroller that could EASILY harm a child!!!!!

I got this stroller because the one I had registered for was out of stock and the baby was coming any day (we registered for the travel system one). So far I love it. It is big, but I drive an SUV and it fits great in the back of my car. I don’t really jog a whole lot, but going for walks have been great. It’s very easy to manuever since the front wheel has 0 turn capability. I also like the fact that it locks.

Overall I think this is a great stroller!

  143. the frustrated mom on June 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Dont buy this stroller. We have exchange this stroller 4 times because the front wheel just falls off! Now we have to carry a wrench and screwdriver around with us at all times because of this. I’m amazed at how this product passed any safety inspection.

This is my second Baby Trend Jogger. The first one I had was a fixed front wheel. This new swivel wheel is the BEST! It is much easier to get around with. I highly reccomend it.

  145. jogmom on June 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I never comment on products, but this is one is so unsafe, I feel duty-bound! Add my voice to the negative reviews.

Like others are saying, the front wheel continually loosens and eventually falls off.

Two workers at a local professional bike repair shop told me the swivel wheel mechanism is faulty and poses a safety threat that is unfixable.

  147. No Fan of Baby Trend on June 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I am so disgusted, with this stroller. We purchased this stroller when our son was first born. Now that he is old enough for us to actually USE it, it is utterly unsafe. The front wheel locks up for no reason and causes the entire stroller, and our son, to lurch forward. If the front wheel IS moving, it wobbles so much, the stroller cannot be controlled. I am disgusted that we spent the money on this stroller and thanks to Baby Trend’s “warranty” have no recourse because it was purchased over 6 months ago. We have used it for less than 2 months and it is junk. DO NOT BUY THIS STROLLER -in fact, stay away from ANYTHING manufactured by Baby Trend.
BTW this site forces me to choose a rating – if I could have given it NO stars or negative stars, I would have!

  148. Cole on June 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I was surprised at the bad reviews; the front wheel is wobbly unless it is locked, and then it is a very smooth ride. I use this stroller every day for walking or running, anywhere from 2-5 miles, and I haven’t had any problems with the wheel or a bumpy ride- my 6 month old daughter loves it and will stay content in it much longer than in her infant carrier. My only complaint is that the black strap padding bleeds it’s color on light colored clothes when it gets wet…when your kid drools, it gets wet:)

I agree with everyone about the front wheel. Mine hasn’t fallen off yet. But seriously something is not right with it. It clicks, for some reason. I have used it maybe 4 times.[…]I just thought it was me, when I put it together. But now I see that maybe it wasn’t. there are just so many of you that have the same problem as I do. It is seriously unsafe in my book. Also the tray that comes with is annoying you have to take it off to store the jogger. Annoying. As if I do not have enough pieces lying around with all the countless other baby products! Ha!

I like the stroller but the only thing I keep having trouble is the tires…they keep going flat…I won’t purchase another…

My husband and I both love this stroller! It folds up easily and is rather compact for a jogger. It fits in the back of my Vibe with room to spare. The matching car seat works well with our infant, and the big wheels make for a great ride even on uneven sidewalks. Shopping this thing is great and turns on a dime between racks of clothing. In short this stroller is awesome and I wouldn’t want to be without it!

This stroller is a sincere piece of […] The front wheel wobbles to the point that my kid’s brain is blended. Nevermind my experience at Disneyland yesterday, it made it very hard to enjoy our Father’s Day weekend. My wife wants to burn it, I want a refund, the baby wants to kick the manufacturer’s behind.Sincerely, I’ve made wagons out of 2×4 from […] that are safer than this piece of work. For all you victims that bought this junk, and for those of you, like us, that got it at a baby shower, I’ll be presenting my wagon to Babies-R-Us to offer as an alternative to this junk. Believe me, I’d pay someone to take it from my hands. If I was maybe an extra 50 lbs, I would’ve had a heart attack yesterday. Thanks to Babies-R-Us for allowing this space to vent. I hope you take it off your shelf.I give this product negative two stars.

This is our second try with the Expedition stroller, the first one had all 3 tires pop the second time we used it, we just got back from our 4th walk with the new one and had a tire pop. Seems the “all terraine” dosn’t stand up well to goatheads. Other then the easy pop wheels its a confortable stroller and handles well.

This broke after 2 months. I have tried to contact customer service serveral times and have not gotten through. I entered my information online and nobody has contacted me- that was a month ago. I am very upset that I wasted my money. I am going to try writing a letter.

  156. Running Mom on June 26th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I purchased this jogger about 18 months ago and have run with it at least 3 times a week since. It has well over 400 miles on it and is still in great condition. My child loves to sit and watch as we run and the tray is great for his drink and a snack. It is easy to fold and fits neatly in our garage. I am fairly rough on things and it has survived my tests. I love it. Without it I would not have been able to run as much as I have. I also love that the front wheel can turn into a swivel so if we’re walking it is very easy to maneuver. I have no complaints at all!

  157. thomas on June 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

My stroller still looks good but is totally worthless. I used it only for rollerblading a handful of times as I have another (Graco) stroller for walking. The front wheel was always a concern. One day it randomly came off -bending the axel so that now it is unusable. I feel ripped off. My husband is a mechanic, and a good one, and was unable to make this wheel perform correctly by adjusting it before or after the wheel fell off. Now I will have to buy a whole new stroller, another expense. Hopefully I will get a BOB stroller this time which I should have bought in the first place as I have saved zero dollars and there will be another thing in the landfill.

  158. Shoulda boughta BOB on July 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

When I first got this stroller I loved it! It was so easy to maneuver, would turn on a dime, and looked great. It was great on my dirt road and in the mall.

After about six months the front wheel started wobbling. My husband attempted to fix it on several occasions. Finally last month it broke completely while on a walk, so I had to push the stroller popping a wheelie the whole way. Husband tried to fix again, so now the wheel doesn’t swivel, is just fixed straight which makes it a pain to put in the car.

I was trying to be frugal with this purchase, but now I wish I would’ve just registered for a BOB.

  159. Mechanical Engineer Mom on July 1st, 2009 at 12:00 am

Product looks fantastic and the large wheels are a plus.

The canopy was not completely sewn and fell apart.
The wheels rusted (stroller never stored outside or used in the rain).
The seat adjustment mechanism broke when I tried to adjust the seat to an upright position when my son turned 6 months old. (I waited until he turned 6 months because that is what the manual says to do.)
Baby Trend has informed me that the warranty that starts on the purchase date is out and that I may PURCHASE the replacement parts.

  160. socalfam5 on July 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I was hoping that what I heard about this item wasn’t true, but it was. The front wheel is wobbily, even after trying to tighten it on my own. Then the back wheel began to wobble, too. It only worked decently in the locked position. Also, it is top heavy. I fell and the stroller fell back because I had the emergency cord on my arm and it easily pulled the stroller down. Thank God, the 5-point harness worked well…baby slept thru it. Sorry, Baby Trend! I didn’t want to give a bad review, but this stroller needs some work. Also…I think ALL jogging strollers should have a hand brake, not just the ones with the stationary front wheel.

  161. Terri on July 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this jogger and use it all the time but wanted to warn mom’s about one potential hazard. When we first purchased the jogger we had the tray attached and took our baby for a quick walk to test the stroller. The tray has a very small lip and sharp edges underneath the tray. My baby attached his lower gum under the tray and when he pulled back he pulled one of his front teeth almost out. Normally when running there are shoulder straps so you can lock your baby down.

  162. jogger/mom on July 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Love this stroller! I ran myself back to my pre-baby weight with this stroller. It also is small enough to take to the mall or where ever. I have had no problems with the swivel wheel. I would advise to make sure you have the wheel locked while going at a faster speed (ie. jogging). This may ensure your stroller doesn’t shake violently as other people have described. Lastly, this stroller is the right price, certainly not the most expensive. I would buy it again in a heartbeat

  163. Amom on July 4th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I’ve had this for about two months or so and go on walks regularly, just walks….then the front wheel became wobbly. So my husband tightens it, like the manual says…well, then again it becomes wobbly again and he’s afraid he’ll strip it if he tightens it anymore. You have to have it in the jogging locked position for it to run smooth but then you can’t steer it that well.
I’m returning it, I purchased the extra warranty on it, I don’t see how they are going to fix it, when everyone else has the same problem!

  164. Daddy Fixit on July 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We just bought this stroller and the front wheel does wobble-shake during walks. We have not had issues with the wobble when the wheel is locked. However I have an issue with things not working as they should and therefore I disassembled the front fork. I was surprised to find that there was actually a good set of bearings, but that was about it. The fork does not have a spindle instead it is just a large bolt (threaded rod) of poor quality welded into the fork. The bolt was not was not threaded to the correct length which makes it impossible to tighten the fork enough to obtain the best fit to the front end. The washers used on the bearings are undersized and there is a short metal sleeve over the rod portion which does absolutely nothing. I tossed the metal sleeve and the washers and replaced them with thicker wider washers that are as wide as the inner bearing assembly covering up to the silver of the outer bearing. Note that the washer on the bottom of the assembly needs to have a larger diameter inner hole because the rod portion is thicker than the threaded portion. I also added a thick rubber washer to the bottom of the assembly. With the fork disassembled put the rubber washer on first then the metal washer then the bearing assembly. Fit the fork assembly back into the stroller frame and put the remaining bearing assembly on top then add the washer and then tighten the nut. You have to hold the fork assembly together while tightening so the bearings remain seated correctly. When done you will be able to tighten the fork so much that the wheel will not pivot. Obviously you do not want it to remain that tight but that verifies an appropriate tight fit and properly functioning fork assembly. Since doing this I have not experienced any wheel wobble and we use this stroller frequently on all types of surfaces. I hope this helps.

Please don’t fall for the look of this stroller as I did, this stroller does not work at all. I got this as a gift from my registry and the front wheel fell apart when my baby was about 4 months old. I don’t have a big baby and still shock at the craftsmanship of the product.

  166. Sivi on July 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

After reading all the reviews, I should have listened… I believe in personal experiences and not to easily pass judgements.. Boy I should have listened. The front wheel is sooo whobbly, my husband tried to fixed it, but no luck. The sad part is that my baby was only 12 lbs.

  167. Busy mom of 5 on July 7th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have been using this stroller for 4 months and the only problem I have had is the lock (for the front wheel) sticks sometimes. Not a big deal. I do not have the matching car seat with it but my car seat fits perfectly. Smooth ride on dirt roads, pavement, and grass. I would recommend this stroller. I feel that some people’s complaints are petty and it is not the most expensive stroller so I think this is a good product for the price. I drive a big SUV so storage is not a problem for me.

  168. CJ on July 10th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is the biggest mistake I ever purchased. I wish I never spent my money on it. The front wheel is constantly shakey. I have been in contact with the company a few times and they will NOT do anything for me. I wish I would’ve listened to what everyone was saying.

  169. Billy's Mom on July 11th, 2009 at 12:00 am

When I got the stroller, I was so excited, it was inexpensive and looked great…Then I experienced the same front wheel wobble issue that it appears so many others have experienced. The worst part is that once, as I was crossing a street, the wobble locked up the front of the stoller and the whole thing tipped! The baby was fine but wow….very very scary! I urge any of you considering….DO NOT PURCHASE THIS STROLLER…spend a little more now…it will be worth it!

  170. mo mom on July 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I have been using this stroller for almost 3 years now and won’t use either of my other 2 strollers at all.
although bulky to lug around, this stroller has smoothest ride imaginable. my toddler frequently gets quality naps while i shop or take her for a brisk walk. i love that the back will lay all the way down while most other strollers would only lean back at an angle. (remember, i bought this 3 years ago so most strollers may lay all the back now 🙂 haven’t had a wobbly wheel problem.

  171. Rebelee on July 13th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller after being warned by a man working at the store not to buy the travel system. He said this jogger was much better because it folded easier and you were able to change the front wheel from swivel to stationary remotely (this feature is not available on the travel system model). When I got it home, I had it assembled in about 10 minutes. I don’t have a baby to test it with yet, but my husband and I took it for a jog around the block and thought it worked great. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I have not had it long enough to know if I will have the same problems with the front wheel that other people have mentioned. Also, if you want to make this stroller into a travel system, all you have to do is buy the matching car seat that is sold seperately. I found that the handle on the matching car seat worked much better than the handle on the car seat included with the travel system.

I was determined to not fill up my garage with strollers when we had our baby over a year ago, and this one did the trick. I used it to run with him in the carseat and find it super convenient for walking through different terrains. It was affordable and I haven’t had the wheel problem. I appreciate the locking front wheel feature.

  173. Discussed consumer on July 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

DO NOT BUY THIS STROLLER!!! We’ve barely even used this stroller and the front wheel went out on it. We may have put about 10 miles on it at the most and now can’t use it at all. The front wheel buckles at the axel. I thought all it needed was to be tightened but that did absolutely nothing. We bought it for durability as we are not runners but it can’t even handle the most basic uses. What a complete waste of money. Now we have to go out a buy another stroller. Maybe I’ll build one myself; I can’t do any worse that these guys did…..

  175. Bethany on July 21st, 2009 at 12:00 am

We bought this stroller so I could run with our baby, but now I wont use my other one. It’s so easy to push compared to my other foam-wheeled stroller that came with our travel system. It even goes off pavement and through pretty bumpy terrain very well.

It’s pretty big, but fits in the trunk of our little 4-door car. I had the wheel come off while trying to get it out of the trunk (it’s a tight fit), but we just put it back on, and haven’t had any problems since.

Really, I recommend it to everyone looking to buy a new stroller. Jogging stroller is the way to go.

I tried the four wheeled combination stroller and it seemed bulky and hard to drive around tight spaces. This stroller is available with a car seat set as well and i simply love it. Going for walks it is the best, off road it our does the rest and in the mall it gets around like nothing else. Nice large storage compartment, easy to push, bulky but not to heavy, front wheel wobbles a little but not bad enough to worry about. Jogging features are nice as well with front locking wheel and wrist strap. Love the air filled tires!!!

  179. RunningMom on July 29th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I love this stroller. It does everything and more. I read some reviews about the front wheel but I have to say it seems very well designed and if you follow the directions is easy to assemble. I have had no problems. It folds very compact and is lightweight for a jogger. I love the fact that I can pair it with the car seat. I say two thumbs up and would reccomend if you are looking for an affordable jogging stroller.

  180. Daddy Fixit on July 30th, 2009 at 12:00 am

Since my last post I have noticed one additional issue that seems to contribute to the front tire shake/wobble. I believe that it is a combination of the type of tire/tread and maintaining proper tire inflation. It may sound funny but I think that perhaps the tread is a little to aggressive for the front tire. Over inflating the tire slightly will reduce the amount of surface it grips (one of the reasons it is bad for car tires). From what I can assess a tire that is a bit narrower and with less aggressive tread would work much better for this stroller.

  181. K on August 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

We like how easy it is to fold up, nice design, style, under basket, but the front wheel is wobby insanely bad- so much so that it’s actually shaking our baby back and forth? My husband threw away the box but I would have returned it. 🙁 Bummer b/c it was great deal and we love our other Baby Trend things

  182. Ann on August 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am

I bought this stroller to go with the Baby Trend Infant Baby Seat (which I love) back in the fall of 08. I had my baby in Nov. and didn’t get to use this stroller until spring. I believe we used it a total of 10 times before the front wheel started having major issues. I always struggled with the front wheel swiveling correctly but now it was about to fall off. My husband took a look at it and said it was the front bearings so I called Babies R Us and they told me, it had been too long since I purchased it…I needed to call the company. I called Baby Trend and she said they have had trouble with that, it is the front bearing….she was going to send me a replacement part. She also told me in order to keep it from going bad to keep it in the locked position when using it?! Well, then what is the point of a swiveling wheel? We replaced the part and it still continues to have issues. If I am walking on an interior floor it always goes to one side and I have to use arm strength to keep it going straight and if I want to turn now, I have to lift the front of the stroller up so the wheel doesn’t touch. Useless, if you ask me. I should have spent about $20 – $30 more and bought a Jeep brand. Oh and the back of the seat is a very flimsy cardboard with padding over it and you can’t get the belt tightened enough in the back for him to ever really sit in an upright position. Also, it is black and if you are going to use it in the summer and the heat, prepare for your child to get HOT! Sorry, I would never purchase this item again.

    not a sturdy product

  186. Jen on August 6th, 2009 at 12:00 am

We like this stroller a lot. My husband and I both have long legs and a long stride, so that’s why we looked for a jogging stroller. We also have a puppy and wanted to be able to walk baby and dog at the same time and needed off-road ability and major stability. This is great for all those (and my husband loves that there are two cup holders!). There are a few tricks to learn about the stroller – most times on folding you have to turn the front wheel – no biggie, but always forgotten in a rush; when we no longer used the carseat and seated our baby upright, adjusting the back, it took some getting used to, the straps were hard to adjust. Now it is broken in and a snap. It’s important to remember that on collapsing the stroller, you have to recline the seat, otherwise it can pop the drink tray off. I don’t like the tray in front of the baby – seems like it’s in her way, but she loves to pull forward on it and watch the dog, and how she chews on the tray – at least she’s happy! The stoller worked great with the carseat and it is so easy to shop with and I can push with one hand. It is bulky when traveling, and I had trouble fitting it in my 2000 Mazada Protege trunk. The dog got used to riding with it in the station wagon! We’re looking forward to taking it to the beach next week, but so far it’s done well on sand and any terrain. No issues with the front wheel like other posters have mentioned.

  187. first time mom but, avid runner on August 8th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This jogger was the worst. I received it as a baby gift and didn’t use it until my baby was 6 months. I took it out for the first run and the front wheel wobbled so badly, I had to walk the rest of the way home. When I called Babies R Us, they said it’s been over 90 days and there was nothing they could do. Of course it’s been over 90 days, you aren’t supposed to run until the baby is 6 months. I even took the stroller to a bike shop to see if the could fix the front wheel and they said it was a design flaw. Please do not waste your money on this stroller. It’s worth it to spend a bit more. You get what you pay for.

  188. Carrie on August 9th, 2009 at 12:00 am

This stroller is terrible! It looks really nice but it’s not! While you are walking/jogging, it starts shaking so bad that it feels like it is going to fall apart! I have the whole travel system and I am also unhappy with the carseat. It is very heavy and the material is a suede-like fabric that when spit up on, it is NOT easy to clean!

  189. First time mom on August 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am

I wanted a three wheel stroller with inflated rubber (not plastic) wheels for uneven sidewalks in my neighborhood and didn’t intend to jog with the stroller. I had the wobbly wheel problem plus the lock on the front wheel would unlock at random and I would have to stop and lock it again. Well, I used my fingers to tighten the nut (?) holding the lock to the front wheel and haven’t had either problem since, and it’s been 7 months. It’s a good looking stroller and you can’t beat the price. Also it’s much lighter collapsed than other jogging strollers. I wish that the seat was better designed though (i.e., to let the baby’s bottom be a little lower than her thighs) so that her crotch doesn’t always seem to slide forward into the belt.

  190. laurie on August 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am

i’m having the same issues many others are having…the front wheel started wobbling, when i fixed that by tightening the nut, it pulls to one side and the swivel does not work anymore. i went to the site here and read all the reviews to see if anyone had the same issues and it looks like the are a lot of problems-seems like babies r us would discontinue this product based on so many bad reviews-especially if they cannot honor a refund or replacement after so many days…i bought mine in feb, didn’t start using it ’til may, started having problems in july-i only used it about 3x’s a week, mostly walking, with alternate light jogging…so i am past the 90 day return policy…i wish i read the reviews before buying! don’t buy this stroller!
